Border Police officers stationed in the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem embarked on an operation to arrest rioters who throw Molotov Cocktails.

The forces acted after the Israel Police recently investigated a surge of cases in which a number of suspects arrived at the outskirts of the refugee camp and hurled Molotov cocktails at vehicles traveling on the Moshe Dayan road towards Pisgat Ze'ev, near the refugee camp.

Three Arabs arrested in connection with synagogue vandalism

Three Arabs have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the desecration of the synagogue in the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood of Jerusalem, Channel 12 News reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the police believe that the background to the break-in and the desecration of the Torah scrolls is criminal rather than nationalistic.

The vandals broke into the synagogue overnight, causing heavy damage to the furniture and the Torah scrolls.

In addition to the synagogue’s Torah scrolls, numerous prayer books were damaged or destroyed.

Synagogue officials notified local police, and an investigation into the break-in has been opened.

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said, "This morning we were notified of a shocking incident of the desecration of a synagogue and the destruction of Torah scrolls in Kiryat Yovel. This is a grave event that is reminiscent of dark periods of the Jewish people. We will not permit such crimes to take place in our times.

Sarah Goldman Murdered and Hung in Manchester

A Frum girl was found dead in an abandoned building in Manchester, England.

The girl, a student at Yavneh Girls at Manchester’s King David High School, told her family that she was going to use her school’s gym early on Monday morning, around 5 a.m., the Manchester Evening News reported.

She was reported missing to police at 9:25 on Monday morning, and her body was found by a family member about 20 minutes later, according to the report. The building in which her body was found is close to the girl’s home.

It is suspected that the girl, identified as Sarah Goldman, was found hanged, according to the newspaper.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, but later released on bail. “We are still keeping an open mind and will be exploring all avenues,” a police spokesman said. “We are trying to piece together this puzzle and help give the girl’s family the answers they deserve.”

The Jewish school said in a statement that students were being offered support in the wake of the death. It said that “Sarah was a lovely, bright, intelligent and well-mannered pupil and she will be hugely missed by everyone at school.”

A small team of Israeli scientists think they might have found the first complete cure for cancer.

“We believe we will offer in a year’s time a complete cure for cancer,” said Dan Aridor, of a new treatment being developed by his company, Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), which was founded in 2000 in the ITEK incubator in the Weizmann Science Park. AEBi developed the SoAP platform, which provides functional leads to very difficult targets.

“Our cancer cure will be effective from day one, will last a duration of a few weeks and will have no or minimal side-effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments on the market,” Aridor said. “Our solution will be both generic and personal.”

It sounds fantastical, especially considering that an estimated 18.1 million new cancer cases are diagnosed worldwide each year, according to reports by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Further, every sixth death in the world is due to cancer, making it the second leading cause of death (second only to cardiovascular disease).

Getting Inspired! UK Chief Rabbi’s ‘Lecha Dodi’ school sing-a-long goes viral

A video of the Chief Rabbi singing Lecha Dodi with school children from across the country has become an internet hit, with more than 30,000 views of the film in just a week. 

The video captures the Chief Rabbi’s tour of primary schools across the country at the end of 2018, which saw pupils performing a special version of the well-known Shabbat song, which was composed and recorded especially for ShabbatUK, taking place on March 1st and 2nd 2019 when it will feature for the first time in synagogues.

Many of the Jewish primary schools who have learnt the new rendition of the Shabbat anthem will get the chance to sing with the Chief Rabbi in the coming weeks, as the preparation and excitement for the next Shabbat UK kicks off. The school tour saw the Chief Rabbi visit 25 schools across the country from Liverpool to London, leading the sing-a-long as he encourages everyone to participate in Shabbat UK.

The catchy music video features more than 5000 children and has proven popular on social media, with over 30,000 views and more than 200 shares on Facebook alone.

The all-new version of Lecha Dodi was composed and recorded by Israeli rock band Shtar, which found fame on the Israeli TV show ‘HaKokhav HaBa’.

Frum Guy With "Langeh Rekel" jumps into Ocean and saves surfer.... Captured on Film

A Frum surfer who decided that he wasn't going to surf on the Herzliya beach, due to the water's height,  saved the life of another surfer.

At 10:13, a report was received at the MDA 101 center in the Yarkon area: "A surfer was injured during a surfing, after apparently hitting the breakwater south of the marina in Herzliya."

The rescue organization's statement said paramedics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated a 42-year-old man to Ichilov Hospital in a moderate condition, with bruises all over his body.

Dramatic images published by the photographer Nissim Aton reveal the exciting human drama in this story. A man with a full ultra-Orthodox appearance, could be seen fighting the waves, wearing his long coat deep in the sea .

"The same ultra-Orthodox man came to the beach to surf, but after a while he surfed, he noticed that the situation at the sea was dangerous -  so he got out of the water, sat on Beach to rest ".

And here the drama began: "After a few minutes sitting there, he noticed that there was another surfer, who was actually drowning."

Without hesitation, the ultra-Orthodox  "He jumped into the water to save the surfer who drowned, and at the end of all the effort he succeeded."

It was Nissim Eton, the photographer, who summoned Magen David Ador , while he also managed to document the drama, which, as stated, ended well: the life of the Israeli who drowned was saved.

Another photographer, Dror Ezra, wrote: "At the southern beach in Herzliya, a regular surfer got in trouble and got stuck on the rocks, was badly wounded and was evacuated in an ambulance ... I did not see what happened, "I do not know his name, but he definitely deserves a medal and appreciation," the photographer added excitedly in a post he published.
