The great Chabad Conundrum ..On one hand the Rebbe is alive and on the other hand everyone goes to the Ohel on Gimel Tammuz

Tens of thousands are expected to visit the Ohel in Queens on Wednesday and Thursday for Gimmel Tammuz, marking the 32nd yahrzeit of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson Zt"l .

Organizers announced separate entrances for men and women, designated tent areas, and a one-way exit route toward Francis Lewis Boulevard.

The NYPD will establish a restricted zone around the site, limiting parking and vehicle access. Visitors are encouraged to use bus transportation.

Maybe he should answer the question instead of all the meaningless verbiage!

I believe that the pe of the ason lives. Lubavitch today has more in common with early Christianity than with Judaism. Remember there were still Jewish mostly halacha abiding Christians for over a century after he died.

Do you go to the crypt of the Rebbee?

I went into that link, and this guy who says it's not a contradiction says that the rebbe himself said that his father-in-law, who is buried next to him in Queens, never died, and that Yaakov Aveenu never died.
There is a major difference In the case of "Freideger Rebbe' no one not even the Rebbe yelled "Yechi Rabbeinue"
In the case of Yaakov, there is no recorded statment in the entire Torah that anyone yelled" Yechi Rabbeinu"
Those 7 minutes that I spent watching this guy, I will never ever get back.

No one questions that Yaakov Avinu died. The Torah says he was buried in the Me'arat HaMachpelah. He's not just wandering in the tunnels down there wondering when someone will bring him some fresh cholent.
As for the previous Rebbe, well the Rebbe announced that he was "God in a body" so I guess that just as God can't die, neither could he.
But the concept is probably that both of them are the Lubavitch equivalent of Star Wars' "force ghosts", alive but unencumbered by a physical body that they left behind to be worshipped.

If I wanted a dead moshiach I would join a Christian church.
