This past Shabbos in the Bobover Bais Medrish in Boro Park, a father gave his daughter no fewer than nine names.
"And her name shall be called in Israel:
Leah, Hinda, Tzirel, Malka Attia, Sheina Chana Chava Tzivya," the Gabbai declared after the "Aliyah to the Torah."
According to reports from Chasidim, the family name - which the daughter would also have to bear - is Folger.
The interesting name, which undoubtedly breaks every possible record, has drawn a wave of amusing reactions. One of the surfers chirped on Twitter: "Thank God that it's not a boy, imagine what it means to call him the Torah ...

My question is,why didn't the Rebbe stop this Meshugener from embarrassing himself and his family and of course his own daughter
The rebbe wasn't there
There is plenty of harmful parenting going on. This guy may be a bit eccentric, But he is low on my list of priorities for censure. I have given three names to some of my children. Usually one name becomes dominant. Let the man be. Mazal tov. His daughter should grow up to Torah, Chuppah and maasim Tovim. You guys have a great batting average. You struck out on this one. But hey, no one is right all the time.
Wanted to rule out all the sisters in law as being potential mother in laws for his daughter when she grows up LOL... but in all seriousness, we don't know the background or the circumstances. Maybe he simply wanted shalom bayis and the inlaws on each side insisted they wanted named after their family and he just wanted peace. Maybe it was the first child and he knew it would be the last. Not our cheshbon.
