 She is sharply critical of Israel telling the San diego Jewish World, that if Israel would annex parts of the "West Bank" she would cut assistance to the Jewish State.

Jill Schupp, 65 ran in Missouri's 2nd District, suburbs south and west of St. Louis. 

She took 45.42n % of the vote

The Isolated American Jews

 Without knowing the results of the US presidential elections, certain conclusions can already be drawn safely. For instance, we can say with certainty that between 70 and 80% of American Jews voted for the Democrat, former Vice President Joe Biden.

On the face of things, American Jews could have been expected to vote in the same proportion, in the exact opposite direction. After all, from Britain to France to Australia, in recent decades, Jewish communities in advanced industrial democracies have moved from Left to Right.

Interesting ..... Only Votes From DemocRAT Run States Are Not Completely Counted

 

Here we are, the morning after, and we are no closer to knowing the results of the Presidential election than we were before polls closed yesterday.

However, what we do know is that a handful of states – including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan – stopped counting mail-in ballots fairly early in the evening on Tuesday night, which is problematic because they didn’t start counting mail-in ballots until Tuesday morning. So there is a backlog of mailed-in ballots that need to be counted, yet those states decided to call it a night.

If you wanted to avoid someone challenging the credibility of an election, I am not sure you could choose a worse way to handle the situation.

Here’s how it goes down. There are going to be ten or so hours of unaccounted for activity and then the ballots start getting counted again. Then, there will be another ten or so hours of unaccounted for activity and then we should have results on Friday. Instead of working through the night, state election officials have decided to give either side the chance to call shenanigans if their side loses.

How else do you think this goes down? If Trump wins Pennsylvania, Democrats will say that someone tampered with and threw out a bunch of votes to give it to Trump. If Bins wins the state, Republicans will say someone “found” a bunch of extra Democratic ballots and magically stole the race.

This is a clear case of getting off your rear end and doing the work right now so we can have a transparent process voters can trust in. Instead, we’re getting a system run on the whims of people who decided not to work in shifts but instead just give up for the night. That is not something we need to base our democratic systems on. We should be focused on transparency and accuracy, and not practices that open our system up to accusations (at best) of nefarious practices in our electoral system.

Hopefully, this will be addressed in a proper and transparent way, but it is certainly not giving off the vibes of a fair and just process. It stinks to high heaven, and no one seems to like that smell.

Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris conveyed in an interview with Arab American News over the weekend that a Biden administration will restore aid to Palestinians that President Donald Trump halted due to it being used for terror purposes, The Jerusalem Post reported on Tuesday morning.

Harris stated via email to the Detroit-based bilingual weekly that immediate actions would be taken to restore economic assistance to the Palestinians, provide humanitarian aid to Gaza and reopen the US consulate in east Jerusalem.

A Biden administration would also make efforts to reopen the PLO office in Washington – which Trump closed – and oppose “settlement expansion,” annexation and any Israeli unilateral actions that would hinder a two-state solution.

“We are committed to a two-state solution, and we will oppose any unilateral steps that undermine that goal,” Harris wrote. “We will also oppose annexation and settlement expansion.”

Laura Loomer Put Up a Great Fight but loses Congressional race in Florida

 

Conservative firebrand and self-described 'proud Islamophobe' Laura Loomer lost her House race in Florida's 21st Congressional District early on Tuesday night.

She lost out to Democratic incumbent Rep. Lois Frankel in President Trump's home district, receiving  39 percent of the vote as of 8pm eastern, according to Associated Press tallies.

The 27-year-old was considered a long-shot for the seat in the district that includes Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate despite support from the president and other leading Republicans. 

Loomer emerged as a 'Make America Great Again' internet star over the past two years but was among the few who managed to convert that online success into a primary win.

Loomer, who has been banned from most social networks as well as Uber and Lyft due to her attacks on Muslims, was joined on the campaign trail by the president's daughter-in-law Lara Trump.

She was also endorsed by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and former Trump adviser Roger Stone, helping her take in more than $2million in donations and successfully out raise Frankel.

However, she faced an uphill battle in the heavily Democratic district.

Frankel was first elected in 2012 and has cruised to re-election ever since. In the 2018 mid-term election, she didn't even face Republican opposition.

The Congresswoman thanked voters as she celebrated her landslide win on Twitter.

'Thank you so much Palm Beach County. I am grateful for your votes and support, we accomplished this together,' she wrote. 'Now let's get to work, there's a lot to do.'

Despite her slim chances, Loomer's bid had gained national attention, in part due to her anti-Muslim remarks about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

She was banned from Facebook and Instagram in May 2019 after stating that Rep. Omar wanted 'another 9/11' and that 'Islam is a cancer.'

Loomer later used right-wing social media platforms like Parler and Gab to raise funds.

She framed her race as 'the first time in history a Republican Jewish woman goes up against a Democrat Jewish woman, so we are putting the Jews on trial in district 21'.

President Trump had congratulated her after her primary win, calling Frankel a 'Pelosi puppet'.

The Squad - four Democratic women who have been frequently targeted for criticism by President Trump and his supporters for their progressive positions - crushed their Republican opponents on Tuesday and cruised to re-election.

House Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley received a fresh, two-year mandate from their voters on Tuesday.

AOC, 31, who has emerged as the face of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, easily maintained her 14th congressional district seat.

Omar, 38, the first American of Somali origin to be elected to Congress, easily defeated well-funded GOP challenger Lacy Johnson in the district that includes Minneapolis.

Her victory in the race for the 5th congressional district was all but assured after she survived a primary challenge this summer from Antone Melton-Meaux.

Tlaib, 44, is expected to handily defeat her Republican opponent, David Dudenhoefer, for Michigan's 13th congressional district seat, which encompasses parts of Detroit.

She is the first woman of Palestinian descent to be elected to Congress.

Philadelphia stops counting mail-in ballots for the night ...Because Trump is Ahead by over 700,000 Votes

 Philadelphia has stopped counting mail-in ballots for the night — a move that could skew Tuesday night’s preliminary results in Pennsylvania toward President Trump.

Only about 76,000 of the city’s mail-in ballots have been tallied so far out of some 350,000 received, noted Holly Otterbein, who is covering the race in Pennsylvania for Politico.

“And remember, Biden supporters are disproportionately voting by mail,” she tweeted.

Otterbein was citing a tweet by Philly-based independent reporter Max Marin.

“No more mail ballot results tonight,” he tweeted at 9:30 p.m. Eastern, adding that counting would resume at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Full unofficial results could take until Friday, election officials have said.

“If there are a significant number of mail ballots outstanding at the end of election night, the reported totals could be relatively stronger for Republicans,” tweeted the New York Times’ Patrick LaForge.

Biden Goes to Church to "daven" then visits his son's Grave to be "mispallel"

 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden kicked off Election Day by heading to morning Mass at his family’s church in Delaware and visiting his late son’s grave.

Biden, his wife Jill and their granddaughters Finnegan and Natalie were spotted by reporters entering St. Joseph on the Brandywine in Wilmington just after 7 a.m.

After the hour-long mass, Biden then visited the grave of his son Beau Biden, the former Attorney General of Delaware who died of brain cancer in 2015.

Biden’s first wife Neilia and their baby girl Naomi, who both died in a 1972 car crash, are also buried at the St. Joseph on the Brandywine cemetery.

Chilling footage has emerged of the Vienna attacker firing an assault rifle at a man taking cover by a building – gunning him down and then returning seconds later to deliver what appears to be the coup de grâce with a handgun.

In the 38-second clip, the gunman is seen approaching the victim as he fires from about 20 feet away before running up as the victim appears to fire a pistol at him and then falling to the ground.

The assailant, dressed in white coveralls, then disappears from view before retracing his steps on the cobblestoned street, running past the wounded man, who is still moving, and then firing at him with his handgun.

Unverified footage captured the suspect firing off bursts apparently at random as he ran down the Austrian capital’s streets with an automatic rifle and a fake explosive vest.

He was identified as Kujtim Fejzulai, a 20-year-old Austrian-North Macedonian dual citizen with a previous terror conviction for trying to join ISIS in Syria.

HaRav Yaakov Busel Rosh Yeshiva of Edison Passes Away

 

We regret to inform you of the Petira of Hagaon HaRav Yaakov Busel ZATZAL, the longtime Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Rabbeinu Yaakov Yosef of Edison NJ.

Rav Busel was the son of an Alter Mirrer, and was born in Shanghai as the Mirrer Yeshiva was fleeing the Nazis. After his family settled in East New York, Brooklyn, the Rosh Yeshiva learned in Yeshiva of Eastern Parkway as a young Bochur, and then went to learn in Lakewood’s BMG until he became the Rosh Yeshiva of Edison for around 40 years.

His first wife Rebbitzen Rasia A”H (who was Niftar in 1998), was a daughter of the Telsher Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon HaRav Boruch Sorotzkin ZATZAL.

The Rosh Yeshiva leaves behind a wife (Rebbitzen Esther) and large Mishpacha of Talmidei Chachomim and incredible Marbitzei Torah – all spread out in many different Mosdos Hatorah in America.

The Rosh Yeshiva was battling an illness for the past year, and contracted COVID-19 just before Rosh Hashanah. Tefilos were recited in Batei Midrashim around the world, and a name was added as a Zecus. Unfortunately, he was Niftar on Tuesday morning.

Dog Walks 62 miles Back Home Alone

 

A faithful family dog in China has gone on a tireless quest to try find her home after her owners left the pet with a friend to be looked after temporarily.

The one-year-old golden retriever, named Ping An or 'safe and sound', was markedly thin and injured with bleeding paws after walking over 62 miles alone for 14 days.

The limping canine was spotted outside an office building by a group of workers who rescued the animal and tracked down her owners, a state-owned newspaper reported.

The family living in eastern China's Qidong city asked a friend to look after their golden retriever after being occupied with renovating their home in June, according to Jianghai Evening News.

They then drove over two hours to drop off Ping An at the friend's house in Nantong which was over 100 kilometres (62 miles) away.

But nearly four months later, the family was devastated to find out that their beloved pet had run away from their friend's house and gone missing.

Thug sucker-punches boy, 12, sitting on a curb and knocks him unconscious on East 13th Street in Brooklyn

 

A 12-year-old boy who could be seen simply sitting on a curb in Brooklyn as he waited for a friend was sucker-punched in a brutal and random assault that was all caught on surveillance camera. 

The disturbing incident happened in Coney Island on October 14 at around 3pm.

The youngster was waiting for a friend when out of nowhere a man walks up to him and unleashed his fist. 

The man calmly walked up to the boy before tapping him on the shoulder and punching him squarely in the face. 

The force of the punch caused the boy to immediately lose consciousness. 

He ended up suffering fractures to bones in his face along with significant bleeding and bruising. 

Paramedics were soon on the scene and took the victim to Coney Island hospital in stable condition for treatment. 

Meanwhile, the man calmly walked away and proceeded to cross the road at the corner of East 13th Street and Avenue T.

The NYPD are hoping that the newly-released footage will lead to the arrest of the person responsible.   

When the attack took place in the middle of the afternoon there were several cars in the vicinity passing by close to where the assault occurred so it is hoped that someone might have seen something.  

The individual being sought over incident is described as a male, 20-30 years in age.

Police say the boy is expected to recover. 

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

Psychiatrist featured on CNN Praises Hitler in Tweet Attacking Trump

 

Outspoken psychiatrist Dr. Bandy X. Lee raised eyebrows on Monday when she criticized President Trump by complimenting Adolf Hitler in a series of Twitter posts. 

 Lee, a psychiatrist at the Yale School of Medicine’s Law and Psychiatry Division, has previously diagnosed Trump with various psychological ailments from afar but outdid herself with a bizarre attempt at a history lesson in an effort to compare the incumbent Republican to the ruthless Nazi dictator. 

 "Donald Trump is not Adolf Hitler," Lee began. "At least Hitler improved the daily life of his followers, had discipline, and required more of himself to gain the respect of his followers. Even with the same pathology, there are varying degrees of competence." 

 Lee, who has appeared on CNN and MSNBC, later deleted the tweet amid backlash but stopped short of offering an apology. 

 "Okay, I have taken it down, since it has upset so many people and was not provoking thought but the opposite," she wrote. "Of note, my statement was about how little Donald Trump believes he needs to do to retain his followership, NOT to minimize Adolf Hitler’s atrocities.

"If we cannot look at parallels in history and learn from them, we are truly poised to repeat it," 

Lee went on. "I say so in heartbreak for the 11+ million lives lost, not in their minimization (currently, we are looking at 7 billion at risk, without exaggeration if we soberly thought of it)." She later clarified, "The main point, in case unclear: someone who has dangerous mental pathology and is more competent, even if not fully competent, CAN commit greater evil. I would have said from this that Hitler is WORSE, not better, as some seem to have oddly concluded." 

Last year, Lee participated in a CNN panel that made headlines when her fellow psychiatrist, Dr. Allen Frances, claimed that Trump was responsible for more deaths than Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong, without receiving any pushback from "Reliable Sources" host Brian Stelter. 

 Stelter later blamed technical difficulties for not hearing Frances' remarks in full after the segment was criticized online.

The "Shvartzah" Cantor from 100 years ago rediscovered thanks to rare recording

Early 1920s newspaper ads for the blockbuster New York Yiddish stage shows Dos Khupe Kleyd (The Wedding Dress) and Yente Telebende (Loquacious Battle‐Ax), featured a Black artist among the spotlighted performers. This was Thomas LaRue, a Yiddish-speaking singer widely known in the interwar period as der schvartzer khazan (The Black Cantor).

Although long-forgotten now, LaRue (who sometimes used the surname Jones) was among the favorites of Yiddish theater and cantorial music. Reportedly raised in Newark, New Jersey, by a single mother who was drawn to Judaism, he even drew interest from beyond the US.

LaRue was booked for more than one European tour in the 1930s, but audiences and critics in Jewish communities in Poland and Germany were somewhat more skeptical than the Americans. Although many were impressed with The Black Cantor — who sometimes added the Yiddish first name Toyve to his billing — others doubted his Jewish bona fides. One Warsaw newspaper published a cartoon of a Black man dressed as a cantor with an upside down prayer book on the podium in front of him, insinuating that LaRue was a scam.

But LaRue was the real thing, according to musicologist Henry Sapoznik, who recently spoke with The Times of Israel about the little-known history of Black cantors. Sapoznik related that LaRue was hardly the only Black cantor or Yiddish theater performers of that era. There were at least a dozen, including one woman.

The proof of LaRue’s cantorial and Yiddish singing chops rests with what can be heard on a recently rediscovered 78 RPM record that he made in 1923. So far, it is the only known early 20th century recording of an African-American singing cantorial music.

An avid discographer, Sapoznik had been searching for this record for 45 years, and finally located it this past July. Ironically, Sapoznik recovered the disc at the sound archives of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York, which he himself founded and directed from 1982 to 1995.

“From time to time I would put out calls to my network asking if anyone had seen the record, but I would never get any answers. At a certain point I thought, ‘This is crazy. I’m not going to ever find it,'” an amazed Sapoznik told The Times of Israel in a video interview from his home in New York.

Sapoznik’s prolonged quest for this particular recording led to the exciting discovery of other forgotten Black cantors who were on the lecture-concert circuit in the Jewish world and were more or less contemporaries of LaRue.
