Zionists Discover Mechanism to Eliminate Tumors

Israeli researchers have stumbled on a way to stimulate the immune system to fight cancer cells, including in types of the disease considered resistant to prevailing forms of immunotherapy, Tel Aviv University announced on Wednesday.

The “chance technological breakthrough” by the university’s Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences essentially reverses a mechanism in cancer patients that prevents the immune system from attacking tumors, the university said.

The academic lab that made the discovery studies both cancer and the effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun on the skin and body, both of which are known to suppress the immune system.

“While in most cases, we cancer researchers worldwide focus on the tumor and look for mechanisms by which cancer inhibits the immune system, here we proposed a different approach: investigating how UV exposure suppresses the immune system and applying our findings to cancer,” said TAU Prof. Carmit Levy, one of the leaders in the study.

“The discovery of a mechanism that inhibits the immune system opens new paths for innovative therapies,” she said.

The researchers found that after exposure to UV radiation, the immune system’s T cells—that play a critical role in fighting cancer—begin to express high levels of the protein Ly6a, said PhD student Avishai Maliah.

“We suspected that Ly6a serves as a brake through which UV inhibits the immune system, and that by releasing this brake, optimal activation of the immune system might be resumed,” he added.

He treated cancer in the lab with Ly6a antibodies, and the tumors were significantly reduced. Moreover, cancers resistant to known treatments reacted substantially to Ly6a antibodies.

“Immunotherapy has revolutionized the treatment of cancer,” noted TAU Prof. Yaron Carmi, a global expert on the immune system and co-author of the study. “However, about 50% of the patients do not respond to the currently prevailing treatment.”

The Israeli team is now working to translate their findings into a drug for cancer patients, hoping to offer an effective new treatment.

The research has been published in the peer-reviewed Nature Communications journal.

Chief Kapo .. "Shmuck" Schumer A damning report reveals he quietly advised Columbia leaders to ignore criticism of campus antisemitism

The House Committee on Education and the Workforce’s report sheds light on Senator Chuck Schumer’s controversial role in Columbia University’s response to campus anti-Semitism.

According to the report, first published Thursday by the Washington Beacon’s Adam Kredo, Schumer advised former Columbia President Minouche Shafik to downplay and ignore congressional criticism, reassuring her that “the university’s political problems are really only among Republicans.” He suggested that university leadership “keep heads down” rather than confront anti-Semitic incidents openly. This guidance was perceived as politically motivated rather than genuinely protective of students.

Furthermore, as anti-Israel protests escalated on campuses—including incidents of intimidation and harassment of Jewish students—Schumer’s private stance diverged sharply from his public position. When protests turned violent at Columbia’s Morningside Heights campus, Schumer publicly condemned the “lawlessness,” yet privately encouraged Columbia’s leaders to avoid inquiries from Republicans, reinforcing a partisan divide over a significant campus safety issue.

The report argues that this approach contributed to a culture in which universities, including Columbia and Harvard, treated anti-Semitism as a public relations issue rather than enforcing protections under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. This stance arguably allowed anti-Semitic demonstrations to escalate unchecked into open hostility on campuses across the country. The committee asserts that Schumer’s guidance to avoid accountability and regard anti-Semitism as merely a political inconvenience ultimately compromised the safety and rights of Jewish students.

Former NYS Assemblyman Dov Hikind slammed Schumer calling him A “Kapo in Our time”, a fraud, and a traitor.

IDF Reserve Commander of 20,000 Troops Has Message to Jewish People

More on Asher Binyomin Weiss the Frum Bnei-Brak Iranian Spy

Permitted for Publication: Bnei Brak Resident Followed a Nuclear Scientist on Behalf of Iran

The State Prosecutor’s Office has indicted Asher Binyamin Weiss of Bnei Brak for allegedly tracking an Israeli nuclear scientist under the guidance of Iranian agents, possibly intending to assassinate him. Weiss faces charges of contact with a foreign agent, aiding an enemy, and obstructing justice.

The indictment, led by Attorney Yonatan Eliyahu Tal, details how Weiss, following the agent’s instructions, committed acts to destabilize state security: setting cars on fire, blocking roads with pipes, spraying inflammatory graffiti, and posting seditious leaflets across Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan. Weiss documented these actions for the agent, who reportedly paid him thousands in cryptocurrency.

Investigators found that Weiss was instructed to retrieve a mysterious bag from a park in Petah Tikva, pinpointed by a foreign contact suspected of working for a hostile state. Despite failing to locate the bag, Weiss confirmed the mission to his handler. Phone records placed him in Petah Tikva on August 28, aligning with the mission’s timing.

Weiss also admitted to hanging and later removing seditious posters across Tel Aviv. Evidence shows he ordered these posters through a printing shop, tracked by his email, and searched for “central streets in Tel Aviv.” Additionally, he photographed locations with phrases like “Hello Tel Aviv,” against various backdrops around Israel.

To maintain secrecy, Weiss used a special SIM card in an old phone. He confessed to graffitiing inflammatory messages, though he claimed he erased them soon after. However, his inability to recall locations hindered verification.

A key piece of evidence involved Weiss photographing a house in Rehovot and sending the footage, including details of a nearby black car, to his handler. He gave contradictory explanations regarding the residents and the documentation.

Authorities discovered transfers totaling $25,271 to Weiss’s digital wallets, allegedly from an Iranian-linked external contact. Weiss systematically attempted to cover up his connection, discarding his phone and misleading investigators when police searched his home.

Initially, Weiss claimed ignorance of his handlers’ identities, believing them criminal or political figures. But, as evidence mounted, he admitted he “highly suspected” an Iranian link.

The investigation has demonstrated Weiss’s awareness of his collaborators and the security implications of his actions. Prosecutors are seeking his detention until the legal proceedings conclude.

Germany orders shutdown of all Iranian consulates

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on Thursday announced that three Iranian consulates are to be closed in Germany in response to the execution of German-Iranian dual national Jamshid Sharmahd.

The consulates are in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.

Baerbock also said Germany would seek EU-wide sanctions against those involved in Sharmahd's execution.

The German Foreign Office on Wednesday announced that its ambassador to Iran, Markus Potzel, had left the country for consultations in Berlin and to protest "in the strongest terms" against Iran's actions.

A spokesman at the time said the "murder" of a German citizen was "extremely straining" on relations with Iran, already reduced to a minimum.

The Iranian judiciary announced Sharmahd's execution on Monday. He was sentenced to death in 2023 after a controversial trial on terrorism charges.

The German government, relatives and human rights activists strongly rejected the accusations against him.

Rosh Yeshiva Chastises Charedie Draft Dodgers "No one is Exempt" "This War is a Milchamas Mitzva"

Rabbi Tamir Granot

In March of this year, I posted an article about this Rosh Yeshiva who is the RY of Yeshivat Orot Shaul! His son Captain Amital Tzvi z"l lost his life for the Jewish people on October 15.
He is a huge Talmud Chachim and is speaking to the Chareidie World on the Yurzeit of his son!
He is speaking in Hebrew with Hebrew subtitles, you don't have to be fluent in Hebrew to understand every single word he is saying! He is speaking from his heart and is quoting from the Rambaצ, Chazon Ish etc. and addresses all the Charedide "talking points"
Listen again and again to what he has to say!
The Dati Leumi Oilim is now getting fed up with their fellow Chareidim and want them to share in the burden!
He explains that this argument that the IDF has enough manpower and don't need Charediem is no longer true, they are fed up with having to leave their jobs, leave their wives and children and continue to serve in the reserves while Charedim are not helping share in this burden! I believe if this isn't rectified very soon there will be a tremendous breach in Achdus! Rabbi Granot explains all the Charedie arguments could have been true before October 7, but October 7 changed everything!

Donald Trump opens three-point lead over Kamala Harris in final Daily Mail poll before Election Day

Donald Trump has overtaken Kamala Harris in the final DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners national poll before Election Day, with the former president holding a three-point lead over the vice president.

Both candidates have shored up their bases, but Trump has done better at picking up support from independents and undecided voters in the final push, according to the data.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters, which has  margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent, shows that Trump is trending up, with the support of 49 percent to Harris' 46 percent.

The race is still close. Yet, with five days to go, the numbers mean Trump is currently on course to become the first Republican candidate since George W. Bush in 2004 to win the popular vote.

The vice president held a one-point lead when the poll was last conducted in September.

She enjoyed a two-month honeymoon after President Joe Biden announced he was ending his reelection campaign. Her poll numbers and fundraising surged amid a wave of enthusiasm.

But since then the race has tightened to become one of the closest in history.

James Johnson, co-founder of J.L. Partners said the poll was good news for Trump's chances of winning the White House

'The movement under the surface suggests Trump is having a better closing moment in driving up enthusiasm than Harris is, and undecideds and third-party candidate supporters have also broken for Trump in the last month,' he said.

'He has also seen improvement among voters of every race, and leads in all age groups apart from 18–29-year-olds.'

The full results show third-party candidates making little headway.

Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and Libertarian Chase Oliver are all on just one percent.

Independent Cornel West's share is rounded to zero percent.

Perhaps the starkest finding is the gender mismatch in the contest.

'One thing makes this election stand out from others: When voters go to the polls next week, they will be sharply divided on their gender, with women being more likely to vote for Harris and men more likely to vote for Trump,' said Johnson.

Harris can count on the support of 54 percent of women, while Trump has the backing of 40 percent.

Men break 59 to 37 for Trump.

After wobbles on both sides, the two candidates can now rely on their own party support. Harris is backed by 94 percent of Democrats; Trump is backed by 93 percent of Republicans.

And there is more good news for Trump as his campaign works to turn out the vote. Enthusiasm for the former president is higher (74 percent say they are very enthusiastic for him) than Harris (67).

A month ago, Harris led Trump by five points.

But all is not lost for Harris. Trump's lead is powered by a 43-point advantage among rural voters. Harris remains on course to win the suburbs, where our poll shows she has a two-point lead.

Johnson said that was a 'ray of light' for Harris.

'That could mean Trump’s vote is now looking more inefficiently spread,' he said. 'Things could look much closer in the swing states if Harris can drive home her votes in suburban areas.'

Trump's danger, he explained, was that he could be racking up high vote counts in red states, while the distribution of Harris supporters might help her win swing states

The two candidates are now crisscrossing the states that will decide the outcome in the electoral college.

Both had struggled with negative headlines in the final week.

Trump launched his closing message on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden in New York, an event that was overshadowed by a comedian making disparaging remarks about Puerto Rico.

And Harris made her final pitch near the White House, but was upstaged by President Joe Biden apparently calling Trump supporters 'garbage' although his words were unclear.

DemonRats Stealing the Election as ABC station airs election results declaring Harris winner of Pennsylvania "With 100% of the Precints reporting"

An ABC station ignited a flurry of conspiracy theories after it aired what appeared to be official election results for Pennsylvania that showed Kamala Harris easily winning the key swing state — more than a week before Election Day.

The shocking result popped up at the bottom of the screen during Sunday’s broadcast of the Formula 1 Mexico Grand Prix by ABC local affiliate WNEP-TV, which serves the northern part of the Keystone State.

It showed the vice president capturing 52% of the votes, compared to 47% for Republican challenger Donald Trump, with 100% of the precincts reporting.

The graphic caused a stir on social media, prompting claims of election rigging.

WNEP-TV said the results came up on the screen in “error” and that they had been “randomly generated” as part of a test ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

“Those numbers should not have appeared on the screen, and it was an error by WNEP that they did,” the station told the Daily Mail, which first reported the story.

“The numbers seen on the screen were randomly generated test results sent out to help news organizations make sure their equipment is working properly in advance of election night.”

The broadcaster continued: “The numbers were not reflective of any actual vote count. Pennsylvania law does not allow mail-in ballots to be taken out of their envelopes until 7:00 a.m. on Election Day, and no votes of any kind will be counted in Pennsylvania until after the polls close at 8:00 p.m. WNEP regrets the error and apologizes for any confusion. We have taken steps to ensure that it does not happen again.”

Trump is up by a razor-thin margin of 0.7% in Pennsylvania, garnering 48.2% to Harris’ 47.5%, according to data from Real Clear Politics.

In the 2020 election, Joe Biden eked out a victory in Pennsylvania by the narrowest of margins, beating Trump by 80,555 votes, or 1.17% — and snatching the state’s 20 electoral votes to win the presidency.

Trump supporters began circulating the footage from WNEP-TV’s broadcast and weighing in on the error.

“ABC is cheating for the Democrat machine. Their license should be revoked,” wrote one user.

Another person added: “If the same graphics pop up after November 5th, with the same percentages & the same vote count, it’ll be EXTREMELY suspicious. And the media wonders why nobody trusts them?”

Disney-owned ABC has been under fire during the election season, following the network’s airing of the presidential debate on September 10. Critics accused ABC News and moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis of bias in favor of Harris.

Conservative commentators claimed that the moderators continued to fact-check Trump while they left Harris alone.

There have also been dueling profiles from the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, detailing the close friendship between Harris and Disney exec Dana Walden, who is in the running to become the company’s CEO, which has raised eyebrows.

For her part, Walden has tried to distance herself from the news division of the Mouse House, despite a history of political donations and fundraising efforts for Harris.

UPDATED: Bnei-Brak Tzaddik Asher Binyamin Weiss Who wouldn't G-d Forbid Enlist Arrested for Spying for Iran

After the capture of two more spies in Israel, publication permitted

This morning, the government permitted us to publish information about the capture of a resident of Bnei Brak,Asher Binyamin Weiss,  from the Orthodox community who was directed by Iranian agents to follow an Israeli nuclear scientist.

The State Attorney’s Office reported it had filed an indictment against Weiss, the Bnei Brak resident, on suspicion that he acted on behalf of Iran by tracking an Israeli nuclear scientist whom the Iranian regime sought to assassinate.

Weiss was indicted on charges of contact with a foreign agent, passing information to the enemy, and obstruction of justice.

According to the indictment, Weiss used a GoPro camera to video the scientist’s house and car. The Iranian agent sent the video footage to a young man from East Jerusalem who was tasked with assassinating the scientist. Seven East Jerusalem residents were arrested last month in connection with that case, which saw officials bust another alleged Iranian spy ring.

Weiss also allegedly carried out acts of sabotage such as setting cars on fire and spraying graffiti. He is also accused of posting hundreds of posters in Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan calling for civil revolt.

For his work, he was paid thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency, prosecutors said. In order to prove he had carried out instructions, he sent photos of his actions to his handlers, they said.

INSANITY!! Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Joel Endorsed Trump but wants his Sheep to Vote Democrat for the Rest of the Candidates

But then the Rebbe went ahead and endorsed all the leftist Looney tunes, those who despise the Torah and everything the Torah says. They want to vote for the pro-abortionist. They want to vote for the gay rights and all gay and LGBT

Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum, the influential Satmar Chassidic rebbe of Kiryas Joel in Upstate New York, announced on Monday that he endorsed former President Donald Trump for president.

A mock Satmar ballot, which offered guidance in Yiddish for whom to vote for, provided to JNS showed votes cast for Democrats in nine of the 11 federal, state and local races. However, Trump received Teitelbaum’s approval, reportedly following discussions among the leadership of the Chassidic group.

The news of the Trump endorsement is a marked departure from Rabbi Teitelbaum’s harsh criticism of “Trumpism” after Election Day in 2022.

“Trumpism became entangled in the Jewish camp,” Rabbi Teitelbaum said at the time. “This Trumpism twisted the minds of so many Yidden,” he said, using the Yiddish word for Jews. “It brainwashed people, and that’s so painful.”

Teitelbaum and his brother, Rabbi Zalman Leib Teitelbaum, both identify as the grand rabbi of Satmar, which their father led and before him was led by their grand-uncle. Zalman Leib Teitelbaum runs the Satmar community in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Satmar Chassidim, who number some 100,000 worldwide, do not support the Israeli government or the modern Israeli state.

Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum’s critical assessment in 2022 came in response to heavy Orthodox Jewish support for Lee Zeldin, a Jewish former congressman, who nearly upended New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, in an unexpectedly tight race.

Rabbi Teitelbaum’s group, which was one of only two New York Chassidic voting blocs that tied themselves to Hochul, generally favors Republicans in national elections. It mostly supports Democrats in state and local ballots, given the strengths of Democrats in the state.

Satmar schools are among the targets of ongoing state probes of private Jewish day schools, which critics say do not sufficiently teach English and secular subjects, and do not fulfill the requirement in state law to provide “substantially equivalent” education to public schools. (That phrase in state law is tied to late 19th-century anti-Catholic legislation.)

Aside from Trump, Rabbi Teitelbaum announced his endorsement on Monday of Rep. Pat Ryan (D-N.Y.) in the 18th Congressional District. Ryan is facing Alison Esposito, a Republican, in what analysts see as a key race for control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Kol Korah Stating that All Rabbanim Prohibit Indian Wigs is a Lie and Misleading!

DIN: I am not qualified to take a position either way, but who is the one paying for this Kol Korah printed in most frum media? Why isn't the one behind this campaign saying who he is? Why does he write "ALL" Rabbanim when there are clearly many who disagree? Why did this come up again after 20 years.

I saw a story circulating in the frum social media, that Dayan Dunner went undercover to India 20 years ago and discovered that the hair was indeed  Avoda Zara and based on his undercover investigation he prohibited all shaitlach from India!

This story is so farfetched and crazy and borders on insanity!
Dayan Dunner went undercover? Where? In India?
Why?
Who in India knows who Dayan Dunner is?
I'll bet very few in the USA knows who he is? I'll bet 99.9% of the Jewish people could pass him on the street and not know who he is!
The Dayan went undercover because he was afraid an Indian Shiksa in Mumbai would recognize him?
Was he afraid that if the Indian Priest that sold the wigs knew that he was a Dayan, he wouldn't tell him the source of the hair? Does the Priest know Halachos of Avoda Zara? This is absolute lunacy?

I decided to call Harav Malkiel Kotler himself, and I urge you to call him yourselves! He said that he really knows nothing personally about the source of the hair and he relied totally on an askan and refuses to give his name. He added that his psak is just "piggybacking" on previous Gedoilim, but never discussed the issue with Harav Eliyashiv or any other Gadol for that matter! Maybe you guys would have better luck, try calling him, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to contact him maybe because of Bein Hazamanim!
I did not call anyone else who signed because if Rav Kotler whose signature is on top was so vague, I suspect that they all just sign, without giving it any thought!

By Rabbi Yair Hoffman

Recently, an advertisement appeared in the HaModia (pre-Sukkos edition, pages 44 and 45 of the Community Section) that essentially stated that it has been determined without a shadow of a doubt that all Indian hair is forbidden – that tonsuring is takroves Avodah Zarah.  The article stated that in order to wear a sheitel there must be supervision from the very cutting of the hair until the final shipping of the sheitel.  The article further states that as of now such strict supervision is nearly non-existent.

It was signed by leading Roshei Yeshiva – Rav Elya Ber Wachtfogel, Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rav Yaakov Shraga Horowitz (Beis Meir), Rav Yisroel Tzvi Neuman and from Eretz Yisroel Rav Sariel Rosenberg, Rav Azriel Auerbach, Rav Moshe Shternbuch, Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein Rav Moshe Mordechai Karp, and Rav Nochum Eisenstein.

The advertisement has made the rounds of several publications.  There have been, however, a number of protests to the fact that it was published in the first place regarding a matter that impacts the Torah observant community so significantly.

Some Gedolei HaPoskim have told this author, “look at the Gedolei Torah whose names are absent from this letter, and it is not because they were not approached to sign it.  Such a wide-sweeping prohibitory declaration must not only be carefully researched by people who will look at the matter in an unbiased manner.  It must further be presented to the Poskim, of whom we drink of their waters daily.”

Why then did the Poskim who expressed their animadversions not come out against the letter?  It seems that it on account of their profound level of Kavod haTorah not wanting to come out against the revered Roshei Yeshiva whose names appear therein.  This author is presenting a different view while trying not to chas v’shalom be disrespectful.  I have also personally seen the genuine and sheer tzidkus and ahavas Yisroel of many of those who have signed on the letter and have drunk of their depth of Torah knowledge.  So that readers will not be overwhelmed, this article has been kept to about 3800 words. Here goes.

Biden's "Garbage" May Become Trump's Gold!

On the tarmac in Green Bay, a garbage truck adorned with Trump campaign flags was seen parked next to Donald Trump’s plane. The unconventional sight drew attention from onlookers as the truck proudly displayed the former president’s insignia, making a bold visual statement at the scene.

Trump himself, wearing an orange safety vest, climbed into the driver’s seat of the garbage truck. The gesture appeared symbolic, suggesting a hands-on approach to clearing out Washington, as Trump continues to position himself as the anti-establishment candidate ahead of the 2024 election.

Dafnah a leftist Secular Jew ..Her Story and Her Turnaround after An Arab Spoke to Her

To mark the year since October 7, Danny Wise of Ami Magazine conducted 38 interviews focusing on the rebuilding efforts of the Israeli communities in the Gaza envelope. Among his interviews, he met with a woman named Dafnah from Kibbuz Re’im. She had been the cultural director of the kibbutz and was one of the organizers of the Nova Festival.

Touring the kibbutz, she showed him her charred house and the room in which her mother and children, Shira and Meir, were found murdered together. She is the lone survivor of her family. Wise writes that throughout the conversation he thought of Kristallnacht and the destroyed shuls. He asked her if the terrorists destroyed any shuls in the communities along the Gaza envelope.

Dafnah responded,
"Of course not. Not a single beit knesset was damaged in all 21 Gaza kibbutzim."

Wise didn’t understand, how could no shul have been attacked, no Sefer Torah burned?

She explained, "It wasn't a miracle. How could they damage something that doesn't exist?" Most of the communities didn’t have designated or active shuls. Dafnah, went on to explain, "If you want to understand the day after, you have to understand the day before.”

Wise writes:

Rabbi Shlomo Raanan runs an organization called Ayelet Hashachar which seeks to bring outreach to irreligious kibbutzim. He came up with the idea of a basketball game between yeshivah bachuram and the kibbutzniks of Reim.

The game was set to take place on Chol Hamoed, October 2, just days before the massacre. Dafnah had led the charge to cancel the game. To her, the match wasn't just a friendly contest; it was a Trojan horse, a way for religious influence to creep into the kibbutz. "I was furious," she told me. "This was outrageous. We didn't need outsiders telling us who a good Jew is," she said, pulling out her phone and scrolling through old messages. She showed me the texts she had sent to Rabbi Raanan, warning him not to bring his religious mission to her doorstep. "Cancel this game immediately," she wrote. "If you don't, we'll all block the entrance with our bodies." In the spirit of peace, Rabbi Raanan canceled the game.

But five days later, the massacre came. Just over the border, in the tunnels of Gaza, Dafna found herself held hostage, face to face with the forces that had torn her world apart. "I said to an older guard in Arabic, why do you torture me? For 20 years, I've made programs for Arab and Jewish. The Jews are your cousins." As she pleaded in the darkness for some recognition of their shared humanity, she was met not with empathy but with a cold dismissal.

"You are not a descendent of Ibrahim! You are not a Jew!" he spat. "You are a European colonialist who stole our land!

It was in that moment, Dafnah said, that something broke. Or perhaps, something began to be repaired. The accusation hit hard. Like many in the kibbutz movement, Dafnah had spent her life defining herself more as an Israeli than a Jew, and more dedicated to reconciling Arabs and Israelis than healing the divides between different groups of Jews.

Religion had always been secondary to her identity. But now, in the depths of that tunnel, being denied her Jewishness by a Hamas fighter, she experienced a crisis of self.
"I started screaming, Ana Yahudiun, Ana Yahudiun, I am a Jew I am a Jew!" The guards restrained her, taping her mouth
But for Dafnah, the internal shift had already occurred.
"For the first time in my life I saw my soul; I saw that I am a Jew. "All my life," Dafnah reflected, "I've been part of this community. We didn't see ourselves as Jews, in the traditional sense. When I traveled overseas and someone asked if I was Jewish, I'd correct them. “No, I'm Israeli”; I'd say.

But when he called me a colonialist, it hit me. He didn't see me as a Jew because I didn't see myself as a Jew.

Dafnah paused for a moment, her eyes wandering over the ruined landscape.

"Every Arab village has a mosque. Christian settlements build churches. And here, we have nothing. Nothing to say that we are Jews. And in that moment, realized that if we were going to rebuild, we needed to reclaim our identity." "I will tell you," Dafnah said, "I took upon myself the new beit knesset project. When we rebuild, our beit knesset will be the most beautiful structure on the kibbutz.”

On Simchas Torah, Dafnah lost her family, but she found herself. They died, but her Jewish identity was born.
