Rutgers leaders Are forced to apologize for Their statement condemning anti-Semitism

Chancellor Christopher Molloy  & Provost Francine Conway

The chancellor and provost of Rutgers University apologized Thursday for issuing a statement that denounced the recent surge in anti-Semitic attacks because he said it “failed to communicate support for our Palestinian community members.”

The initial statement from Chancellor Christopher Molloy and Provost Francine Conway Wednesday said they were “saddened by and greatly concerned about the sharp rise in hostile sentiments and anti-Semitic violence in the United States.”

The Thursday statement, titled “An Apology,”included the message that “our diversity must be supported by equity, inclusion, antiracism, and the condemnation of all forms of bigotry and hatred, including anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.

“As we grow in our personal and institutional understanding, we will take the lesson learned here to heart, and pledge our commitment to doing better,” Molloy and Conway continued. “We will work to regain your trust, and make sure that our communications going forward are much more sensitive and balanced.”

Earlier Thursday, the Rutgers chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine issued a lengthy denunciation of Molloy and Conway’s initial statement.

The group said the statement “cannot be separated from widespread attempts to conflict antizionism [sic] with antisemitism [sic] and derail Palestinian voices and activism … it isolates them and shows that Rutgers does not stand with or support them in their struggle for freedom and liberation, and contributes to the racism efforts of zionists [sic] to erase Palestinian identity.”

Five-year-old survivor of Italy cable car crash asks “Where’s mom and dad?”

Amit Biran and his wife Tal Peleg-Biran died along with their son youngest son Tom Biran, their 5-year-old Eitan Biran survived after a cable car accident on Mottarone mountain in Italy killed 14.

The five-year-old who was the sole survivor of a cable car crash in the Italian Alps that killed 14, including five of his immediate family members, woke up in an Italian hospital asking “Where’s mom and dad?”

It’s not clear if Eitan Biran, who made it out alive when the cable car plunged 20 feet into the side of a mountain near Lake Maggiore in northern Italy last week, knows that his parents, two-year-old brother and great grandparents are dead.

The child, who escaped with multiple broken bones, was saved by the embrace of his father, who died when the gondola crashed to the ground, a hospital spokesperson said, according to the Times of Israel.

His aunt, who works as a doctor in Italy, has been by his bedside along with his grandmother. His parents, Amit Biran, 30, and his wife Tal Peleg-Biran, 26, as well as their son Tom have all been buried in Israel.

Italian authorities arrested three men on Wednesday connected to Ferrovie Mottarone, the company that manages the cableway, saying the emergency brakes had been deactivated.

The cable carrying the gondola snapped last Sunday when the cable car was nearing the end of its journey to the top of Mottarone mountain.

‘Sleeper cell’ of Christian missionaries that infiltrated Ramat Beit Shemesh

The Adelmans

With additional reporting by Etan Smallman

Four members of a “sleeper cell” of alleged undercover Christian missionaries who infiltrated Orthodox communities in Jerusalem have been unmasked in dossiers passed to the Israeli government, the JC can reveal.

They are from a group of 10 fake Jews who followed evangelical ringleader Michael Elk — calling himself Rabbi Michael Elkohen — whose Christian upbringing was exposed earlier this month in a special report by the JC.

Elk had set up a seminary in Jerusalem called Yeshivat Yarim Ha’am, teaching a belief in Jesus. He gave students a ‘Messianic’ smicha, making them rabbis.

Elk himself has now fled. A recent photograph shows him sporting a hipster haircut and sculpted beard.

Now that the lynchpin has been unmasked, the Israeli anti-missionary group Beyneynu has set its sights on the other members of the covert group.

This week, Beyneynu sent two dossiers to Israel’s Ministry of the Interior naming four suspected missionaries, calling for an inquiry into how they gained Israeli citizenship.

Litzman to be Indicted for obstruction of justice, for blocking the extradition of an accused pedophile,

Charges against the Haredi minister relate to allegations he sought to block the extradition of  accused pedophile, Malka Lefer and sought to  prevent the closure of a deli cited for health violations

Israeli Housing Minister Yaakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism) will face charges in connection to two separate investigations, after Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit approved the preliminary indictment.

Mandelblit notified Litzman that he has signed off on the charge sheet; a necessary step for indicting an incumbent minister. A hearing must be held for the final indictment to be formally filed.

The preliminary indictment includes charges of obstruction of justice and breach of trust, and stems from two separate cases.

The first case relates to the disgraced former Australian educator Malka Leifer, who was extradited from Israel to Australia in January to face multiple counts of child sex abuse.

Leifer fled Australia in 2008, moving to Israel, where she was eventually found mentally unfit for extradition, before the case was reopened following the work of a private investigator who found evidence Leifer had faked her mental illness to escape extradition.

Litzman, who served as Deputy Health Minister (serving de facto as Health Minister) and later as Health Minister at the time, is suspected of taking improper steps to help Leifer obtain recommendations from mental health officials that she be deemed unfit to stand trial.

The second case revolves around accusations that as Health Minister, Litzman tried to help a delicatessen owned by a friend avoid forced closure over poor sanitary standards. The matter came to police attention after a pregnant woman who ate at the deli suffered a miscarriage, apparently as a result of a listeria infection in 2015, one of a number of bacterial infections reported at the deli.

“There are two cases which involve Minister Litzman apparently taking advantage of his position and governmental power in order to advance the interests of private individuals,” Mandelblit wrote, “during which he used his government power to back outside interest and against the interests of those he was tasked with serving as Deputy Health Minister.”

Daughter of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh being treated in Israel While Her Father Was Firing 4,000 Rockets

Ichilov Hospital announced that the daughter of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza and deputy head of the organization's political bureau, had been treated at the medical center.

The Reuters news agency reported that this was an urgent treatment after Haniyeh's daughter suffered from complications relating to a recent medical procedure.

Haniyeh's daughter has been hospitalized at the Tel Aviv hospital for more than a month and also stayed there during Operation Guardian of the Walls, when Hamas fired over 4,000 rockets at Israel, including large barrages at Tel Aviv.

The hospital said that she "is one in more than a thousand patients from Gaza and the territories, children and adults, who come for treatment every year at Ichilov Hospital."

It is not believed that Haniyeh was personally involved in the decision to transfer his daughter to an Israeli hospital for treatment, but in many cases children and adults are brought from hospitals in the Gaza Strip to medical centers in Israel for urgent treatment.

MK Idit Silman responded to the publication and said, "During the operation we pressured the government to take a 'humanitarian for humanitarian' step to free our boys. Like the unilateral ceasefire, I see that the State of Israel knows how to give humanitarian treatment only for one party. This is at the expense of its citizens who gave their lives."

"Despite the huge disappointment and criminal the lack of humanitarian symmetry, we will continue to work for the return of the boys. Today I will turn to the Prime Minister to understand why the humanitarianism is unilateral even during the operation," Silman said.

Jewish history and Holocaust studies scholar murdered in Ukraine

A 29-year-old man is taken into custody in the suspected murder of Vladimir Shchukin i

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Ukraine in the suspected murder this month of a prominent Holocaust and Jewish history researcher there.

Police in Nikolayev, near Odessa, made the arrest Tuesday in the May 14 slaying of Vladimir Shchukin, 67, who had worked at the State Archive of the Nikolaev Region. The suspect was not named in the media and police have not indicated whether they believe the motive was connected to Shchukin’s writings on the Holocaust, the Strana news site reported.

Shchukin, who was not Jewish, was found dead in his apartment.

In addition to writing the definitive work on the Holocaust in the Nikolayev region, Shchukin also authored research papers on the Jewish presence in Ukraine more broadly. In 2016 he co-authored a Russian-language work titled “Jewish agricultural colonies of the Kherson province.”

In 2018, another historian, Mikola Shityuk, was killed in Nikolayev. Police arrested a suspect but he was released soon thereafter. The case has remained unsolved.

Shityuk, who also was not Jewish, had published multiple research papers on Holodomor, a famine inflicted on what is now Ukraine by the Soviet Union. Many Ukrainians consider Holodomor an attempt at genocide.

Why Has Belz Suddenly Come Out With a Ban on Going Up to Har Habayit?

Notice the photo I put up of Yerushalyim showing the Belz Bais Ha'medrish as the tallest building ....

What's pshat?

In Belz, it seems that there is no yearning for the Bais Hamikdash, as they have established their own "Bais Ha'Mikdash" near Sanhedria.

Driving down the streets of Sanhedria Mirchevet, one glances up to the huge mountain and one can see the gigantic beautiful edifice known as the Belzer Beit Ha"Medrish. Truly a sight to behold and it mamash takes your breath away seeing it for the first time, and it does add to the Jerusalem skyline!
Right now it seats 7,000 comfortable, and the Aron Hakodesh is in the Guinness World Records, at 12 meters high, weighing 18 tons and holds 70 sifrei Torah. 9 chandeliers each standing at 18 feet and 11 feet wide, contain over 200,000 pieces Czech crystals apiece.

They don't need a Bais Ha'mikdash ....

So why the new Fatwa against going up on the Har Habyit?

Why would Belz get involved in a Dati Leumi issue?

Aren't the guys going up to the Har Habayit, Dati Leumi and Yeshivishe guys who could care less what Belz has to say?

Answer:That's why you have to come to DIN, because I give you the news that's behind the news!

One of the leaders and advocates of going up to the Har Habyit, is non other than a top Belzer Chasid, and every 3rd of the Chodash he goes up with hundreds of Belzer Chassidim .....

Now that the Arabs went wild about Jews desecrating their "makom kadosh" and succeeded to stop jews from going up to the Har Habyit for the last few weeks, a renewed determination by the pro Har Habayters has begun with special efforts in explaining their viewpoints (Hasbara) and that "hasbara" is a direct threat to Belz .....
because its not only the Dati Leumi guys that are going up, but Belzer Chassidim themselves, those who are nauseated by the Belzer Bais Ha'Medrash, and so they have now become bold showing their Belzer community what every Jew ought to know ...
that there is only one Bais Ha'Mikdash, and that Bais Ha'mikdash will not be in Kiryat Belz but  on the Har Habayit!

Belz had no choice but to come out with the Fatwa, hoping that it would stop the rebellion...and help keep the Har Habayit in the hands of the goyim..

"Achdus" in Satmar Shortlived ...As the Feud Between the Satmar brothers Continue in Monroe

While the great news of "achdus" between the Satmar Rabbi brothers was announced, the feuding continued at full throttle in Monroe!

This past week, two Satmar mechatanim decided to rent a specific hall in Monroe to marry off their children.

When the Manager asked them, "Who will be the Mesader Kiddushin?"

The Mechatanim told him who they chose, a  Zalonie Rav. The hall manager told them that in Monroe there is a psak that if you take any  Mesader Kiddushin that is not an Ahroinie, then the marriage is invalid, and all children from this union are questionable mamzeirim, and certainly not children from a holy union...

To make sure that they understood the implications of getting an outside Rav, in this case a Zaloinie Rav, posters were hung up all over Monroe with this fatwa!

Well...not so fast...

The Zaloinim posted a notice of their own, which states that the previous Satmar Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe, father of the feuding brothers, ruled unequivocally that R' Zalman Leib can officiate anywhere he pleases and especially in Monroe.

Satmar in Bnei-Brak Finally Recognise Publicly the Zionist State

Now that the war in Gaza is over, it's time to tear each other apart again!

The Feuding Satmar Rebbe brothers in New York may have gotten together as "achdus" to endorse Ying Yang for mayor, though he advocates immorality and against everything that a religious Jew would stand for, but here in Israel finally some good news ..

Satmar is not only fighting in chutz-le'aaretz, they are tearing each other apart in israel as well...

But there is a silver lining in this feud ... both sides have recognised the Zionist government! Finally!

As you can see above the Holy Moisid of Satmar "Atzei Chayim" have gone ... not G-d forbid to Bais Din, but to the Zionist Court in Tel-Aviv!

I wish both sides hatzlacha!
