What is behind the shidduch crisis among Modern Orthodox Jews?

In 2019 a large-scale study, the first of its kind, was undertaken to explore aspects related to shidduch dating [https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/culture/shidduch-app-now-available-in-english-685452] in the North American Orthodox Jewish world. Called the DAAS project, the study was designed to elicit information about marriage rates, and the experiences of individuals from across the spectrum of Orthodox Judaism about the shidduch dating process.

Shidduch dating [https://www.jpost.com/j-spot/article-726351] is now commonly used across all denominations among the Orthodox. It requires some variation of a written description of the individual dater and often meeting with a shadchan (matchmaker) to arrange a date with another who may be considered an appropriate match.

This study is unique in that over 10,000 responses were collected. Subjective feelings of shidduch dating [https://www.jpost.com/blogs/confessions-of-a-jewish-matchmaker/what-does-the-word-shidduch-mean-543400] for those responding indicated strong feelings of anxiety, lack of support and too intense a focus on superficial components of individuals who are most often presented in what is called a shidduch resume. The pressure to get married before one feels ready, as well as the stigma and desperation that those who are not married felt was highlighted.

Chayim Nissim Cohen a Deranged Psychopath Sued & Charged with Sexual Abuse of Child”

Chayim Nissim Cohen formerly known as Jeffrey Lujan Vejil of Odessa Texas, is the subject of both a civil suit and a criminal indictment for sexual abuse of children.

Cohen gained some notoriety for being a Chassidic, single, adoptive father of 9 in Houston Texas. He has been written about in many Jewish and non-Jewish media outlets, and runs a website about his family called "Our Unique Family." Cohen has presented in recent years.

The Rebbe with his 9 goyim

For starters, in a 2019 Jewish Press article Cohen seems to have represented himself as a Williamsburg native who moved to Texas in his 20s and had a brief stint in social work. He represented himself in the same way in an interview for the Adath Israel of San Francisco blog

Neither of those things is true.

According to the civil suit filed against him, Hayim Nissim Cohen was born Jeffrey Lujan Vejil in 1984 in Odessa, Texas. This is confirmed by a quick Google search finding only one Jeffrey Lujan Vejil in the state of Texas born in 1984. According to the Odessa High School website Jeffrey was part of the graduating class of 2002. In 2005 a picture of him was featured in the Odessa American assisting in relief efforts at a Red Cross shelter set up at UTPB in Odessa, Texas following Hurricane Rita. While he is listed as having attended high school from 1998-2002, I couldn’t find any records online of which college he may have attended to study social work. I was also unable to find any social work license, current or expired, for either Hayim Nissim Cohen, or Jeffrey Vejil. Given the image in the Odessa American, Cohen was not a Williamsburg native, and definitely was born, raised, and lived in Texas until 2005.

Neturie Karta's Friends the Palestinians ,Celebrate Yerushalayim Terror Attack with Ghoulish Cartoon

As media outlets across the world play the “both sides” game over the horrific murder of a newly married avreich and two brothers, ages 6 and 8, in Yerushalayim on Friday, Palestinian terror supporters aren’t hiding their glee over the cold-blooded massacre of innocent civilians and children.

A sickening cartoon making the rounds on social media portrays Palestinians gathered around a table and partaking in a meal made out of the head of one of Friday’s terror victims.

The stomach-turning cartoon’s caption reads: “The best Friday and the best upside-down (Mansaf).” Mansaf is a popular Arab dish that actually has an antisemitic legend connected to it, in which the ancient king of Moav told his people to cook meat with milk as an insult to Jews, who cannot eat it.

An Al Jazeera article about the dish stated that the dish continues to be served and that its cookers use it as a way of “declaring their enmity towards the Jews until the Day of Judgement.”

A commenter wrote, “If this is true, then eating mansaf is a sort of jihad against the Jews.”

These are the people – nay, the animals – that the world at large insists Israel must make peace with. Animals who not only delight in the murder of innocent Jews – including one children – but hand out sweets, dance in the streets, and create vile cartoons about, all in the name of stomping out Jews.

There’s no “both sides” argument to make. One side despises death, the other revels in it.

Jacob Kornbluh a Soros Lover and Stooge

The Yam Putz Yankele Kornpink

On Friday, Forward columnist Jacob Kornbluh accused President Trump of using an antisemitic trope to raise money.

In a tweet, Kornbluh claimed that a Trump fundraising email accusing George Soros of trying to buy Joe Biden a second term, “invokes an antisemitic trope that depicts the Jewish billionaire as controlling politicians.”

He wrote a column about this as well, saying: “Trump assailed Jewish billionaire George Soros in a series of fundraising emails, accusing him of aiming to “single-handedly buy” President Joe Biden’s reelection.”

He continued, “The Hungarian-born Democratic megadonor and Holocaust survivor has long been the target of antisemitic tropes and touted as a boogeyman by the far right. Casting a Jewish individual as a puppet master who manipulates national events for malign purposes is a common antisemitic trope.”

The Jewish Democratic Council of America echoed similar sentiments on Twitter, “Just because accusing Jewish donors of buying elections has become part of Donald Trump’s regular vocabulary, it doesn’t make it any less dangerous each time he does it.”

United Hatzalah mission leaves Turkey after serious security threat

Due to a significant security threat on the Israeli rescue and relief mission in Turkey and following a joint situational assessment with the heads of the IDF Home Front Command and Search and Rescue Units which took place on Saturday night, United Hatzalah CEO Eli Pollack and Vice President of Operations Dov Maisel instructed the head of United Hatzalah’s rescue mission Major (res.) Yossi Cohen to end the mission and return to Israel as soon as possible.

The team quickly packed up their equipment and gear and made hasty arrangements to fly back to Israel at the earliest opportunity. Due to the lack of available planes, Dr. Miriam Adelson donated her private jet to fly the team back to Israel already on Sunday.

Maisel said: “We knew that there was a certain level of risk in sending our team to this area of Turkey, which is close to the Syrian border but we took the necessary steps in order to mitigate the threat for the sake of our lifesaving mission. Unfortunately, we have just received intelligence of a concrete and immediate threat on the Israeli delegation and we have to put the security of our personnel first. We are extremely proud of what our team has accomplished in just a few days, assisting in the rescue of 15 individuals in cooperation with the IDF Home Front Command, Israel’s Search and Rescue units, local rescue forces, and the Turkish Red Cross. I want to thank Dr. Adelson for assisting us in bringing our people back quickly and safely.”

On Tuesday, United Hatzalah of Israel sent a delegation of 25 first responders and experts in search and rescue operations together with 10 tons of medical supplies and humanitarian aid to Turkey on a special charter flight

This is who the friends of Neturei Karta Murdered!

Always remember that the NETUREI KARTA/ Satmar are on the side of the terrorists, praising them, and encouraging them in their efforts to make Israel 100% Judenrein = 100% free of Jews.

They may seem like a small problem, but they play a significant role in turning world-opinion against Israel.

Since hundreds of millions of people make no distinction between Israel and Jews, this means that they also play a significant role in turning world-opinion against ALL Jews.

When will good Jews wake up, and take serious actions against the Neturei Karta/Satmar?

During the course of the Shabbos, a third victim of the brutal ramming attack which occurred in Jerusalem Friday was declared dead. 8-year-old Asher Paley was critically injured in the attack and died of his injuries on Shabbos. His 6-year-old brother Yaakov Yisrael died on Friday and was buried minutes before Shabbos.

Asher arrived at the hospital during resuscitation and in critical condition and numerous teams from the trauma unit and the emergency medical unit as well as the pediatric ICU fought for his life for hours before he was declared dead. He will be buried next to his brother on Motzaei Shabbos.

Asher and Yaakov Yisrael’s father Avraham Paley is in moderate condition at the Hadassah Har Hatzofim hospital. The brothers’ 10-year-old brother Moshe who was lightly injured has been released home.

The other victim of the attack was Alter Shlomo Lederman (20) a young married avreich from the Pinsk-Karlin chasidim.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced at the scene of the attack that Israel needed to make a “Defensive Shield No. 2” operation, similar to the 2002 operation in Jenin to clear terrorist cells in the city.

However defense officials dismissed Ben’Gvir’s statement, saying that such decisions are taken in conjunction with the entire defense establishment and in the security cabinet.

Initial investigations revealed that the terrorist was a mentally deranged individual who was released from a psychiatric institution this week and whose situation had deteriorated. The defense official said that the terrorist lived in a rented apartment in the Issawiya neighborhood in East Jerusalem and therefore it is unclear whether there is a legal permit to seal of demolish his home.

The source added that Prime Minister Netanyahu does not see a reason to adopt collective punishment for East Jerusalem Arabs in response to the attack, especially as Israel is trying to calm tensions prior to the Ramadan month which occurs in Nissan, which would enable the defense establishment to focus on the Iranian threat.

The defense official added that “there are operational steps to be taken against a lone attacker but this must be done with balance. There is a large community in East Jerusalem which isn’t involved in attacks. We want people to benefit from freedom of worship during Ramadan and Pesach.”
