 Four young Israeli citizens were arrested in France, after customs officers discovered 130 kilograms of khat (known as ghat in Israel) in their suitcases. All four are members of the Charedi community.

The group included two 17 year old girls, one of whom was apparently begging her mother to come and rescue her. 

The plant, which has a mild narcotic effect, is permitted in Israel, but in most countries it is prohibited as a drug.

On February 2, four Israelis were detained at Brussels airport after 160 kilograms of khat were found in their luggage.

Last month, two brothers, Israeli yeshiva students, traveled from Israel to France with khat leaves, persuaded by purveyors who assured them that there was no legal problem with the consignment. However French authorities arrested them and placed them in jail.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry frequently publishes warnings to Israeli youth not to be enticed by Israeli distributors of khat.

Many smugglers attempt to use yeshiva students to smuggle khat into other countries, claiming that they will not be arrested if they have citizenship in those countries. They claim that even if the student is caught, he will be returned to his country but will not receive any further sanction. The smugglers promise large sums of money as well as tickets to the yeshiva students, who do not realize the severity of their actions.

Passenger Kicked Off Flight for Wearing ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Mask

 A passenger on an Allegiant Air flight was kicked off because he was wearing a mask on which he wrote ‘Let’s Go Brandon.’

Video of the incident was posted to social media platform TikTok, and shows a flight attendant arguing with the passenger. The attendant tells the man to take his mask off “because of the comment you’ve got written on there.”

The passenger argued that he has a right to freedom of expression, but the flight attendant said he can either remove the mask or be forcibly removed from the plane, claiming that the mask was in violation of “an FAA regulation.”

The man was then thrown off the flight. It isn’t yet known whether he will be taking legal action against Allegiant Air.

A federal jury in Manhattan found for the Times on Tuesday, determining Ms. Palin didn’t prove her claim that she was libeled by a 2017 editorial about political rhetoric and gun violence.

According to TMZ, Leviev, 31, has signed with LA-based manager Gina Rodriguez, who reps a range of reality stars, including Mama June.

The pair have purportedly discussed “a bunch of plans to parlay Leviev’s new Netflix fame into profit and an entertainment career.”

Snopes the ‘fact checking’ Site Are a Bunch of Liars Covering for DemonRats

 

Snopes.com has shifted its “fact check” on the news that the Biden administration would be offering free crack pipes as part of a $30 million program from “mostly false” to “outdated” — the latest move in a remarkable drive to make the story just go away.

It all started when The Washington Free Beacon broke the news, citing public documents. As meme-makers went wild, social media circled the wagons to try to protect the Biden administration.

Instagram attached a “missing context” label to posts, while Facebook went with “false information” after a ruling from partisan “fact checkers.”

Snopes then stepped in with its “mostly false” judgment, on the basis that the program in question would also give away free needles, etc. (as the Beacon had reported).

But the publicity didn’t stop, so the administration “clarified” that free crack pipes are now off the table.

That cleared the deck for Snopes to switch in “outdated” — while sniffing about the supposed “wave of grossly misleading news coverage” that got Team Biden to shift.

None of which changes the fact that the free crack pipes were real, until actual reporting got the word out. Proving once again that social media and their supposed “independent” fact checkers are just an extension of the Democratic Party.

Cellular Phone Store Owners Describe Their Ordeals At Knesset Committee

Owners of cellphone stores from many chareidi districts in Israel came to the Knesset’s Internal Affairs committee to describe the harassment and violence they are experiencing from elements in the community.

The owner of the Didi Phone store in Bnei Brak, who has suffered from repeated harassment and raucous demonstrations outside his store, described the threats he had received from the self-styled “Rabbinic Committee For Kosher Communications” which demands that he authorize his phones under their auspices.

A member of the committee told him: “Listen, you see me dressed like this but three times I became non-religious and then did Teshuva. There is nobody who doesn’t know me and I have connections with the biggest criminals (citing a name of a well-known crime boss)- you better beware of me and listen to what I tell you to do.”

The owner said that he had feared for his life and complained to police, who were shocked that this particular criminal was involved. The owner stressed that he does not sell non-kosher phones and himself has a kosher phone. He only sells phones with SMS, cameras and players to those who require them but does not sell phones with internet access. Despite this, he was harassed for not accepting the kashrus committee’s authority.

Another store owner from Geula said that he had received threats and that the window of his store had been broken because he refused to purchase phones from the committee. He said that “I can’t sleep at night.”
