Day Yoimie Snippets ... Menachois Pages 100,101, 102,103,104, 105 & 106

"דף ק .."ברקאי

"Barkai"

In the days when the Temple stood, the Kohanim would offer the "korban tamid," before any other sacrifices were offered.

Towards the end of each night, the supervisor of the Kohanim would appoint a Kohein to stand at the highest area of the Temple to gaze towards the east to watch when exactly the  sun rose.
As soon as the appointed "watcher" would notice sunrise he would shout out "barkai" .... meaning the sun rose.

There are rabbis who are of the opinion that the Kohanim would wait a bit more till sunrise was more prominent.

The reason they would appoint someone to watch and announce the sunrise, was because of a story that actually happened.
It happened that the Kohanim once saw the moon on the east and thought that it was the sun rising, and they went ahead and sacrificed the "korban tamid" while it was still night, which invalidated the sacrifice.
They were then forced to burn it since the Halacha is that there cannot be any sacrifices offered at night.
They therefore appointed someone who would be able to distinguish when the sun actually rose.

Liberal Jews Don't Care About Anti-Semitism If It's From the left!!!

Jonathan Greenblatt, Chief Tuchis Lekker of the Goyim
By Karol Markowicz
Jew-hating has become too normal in America, and liberal Jewry keep mum about it. Left-of-center Jews speak out about white nationalists, but where are they on anti-Semitism when it arises from their own side?
Last week, Airbnb announced its decision to remove rental listings in the West Bank. But the apartment-sharing service didn’t touch listings in other disputed territories, like Russian-annexed Ukraine and Turkish-occupied North Cyprus. You would think liberal Jewish outfits would race to call out what lies behind this hypocrisy: anti-Semitism.
You’d think wrong. Anti-Defamation League boss Jonathan Greenblatt, for example, issued a tepid statement saying he was “dismayed” by the move. But he stopped short of calling out the blatant antiSemitism.

Novaminsker Rebbe Slams R'Malkiel Kotler Publicly For His Endorsement Of Peleg Violence At The Agudah Convention!!

Listen to the keynote speeches Motzei Shabbos at 12:43

www.agudahconvention.org/program

R' Malkiel Kotler, Rosh Yeshivah of Lakewood and Satmar "tuchis lekker," endorses the violence of the Peleg Faction in Israel, and said so at the Agudah Convention ... He spoke on Shabbos after Shachris ....He came up with some cockamamie story about some rabbonim in Israel not giving the proper "Kavod Ha'Torah" for the Peleg rabbonim who advocate violence and organize illegal protests on the streets of Bnei Brak ...
No more protests in Yerushalyim, though; they managed to negotiate with the Zionist Police.
R' Malkiel  totally politicized the Agudah Convention and the majority of the attendees were horrified!!

Over the years, R' Malkiel and R' Aron Shechter of Chaim Berlin have managed to bring the Israeli machlokas to the USA...
They support the Auerbach crazies .... and instead of spreading Torah, they spread machlokas throughout the Yeshivas ...

R' Malkiel's zombies also placed "pashivelin" under each attendees hotel room's door . The pashkivelin mocked R' Chaim Kanievski.

R' Perlow, the Novemensker Rebbe, at his Key Note Agudah Address on Saturday Night, called him out and set the record straight!

Beverly Hills boycotts Airbnb

The Beverly Hills, California city council condemned Airbnb's decision to remove its list of apartments and holiday units in Judea and Samaria “settlements” from its site.

"We find the activity of the Airbnb company to be troubling. In the name of our residents, this decision, which passed unanimously, reflects the council's continued commitment to Israel and the exposure of hatred wherever it may be," Beverly Hills Mayor Julian Gold was quoted as saying in Yediot Aharonot. .

"Airbnb is not welcome in Beverly Hills as well as its policy, which is based on anti-Jewish double standards," added his deputy John Mirisch. "Hatred of Jews is a disease. We try to strengthen others against it and we have to protect ourselves from its effects."

"Beverly Hills is a international tourist destination with visitors from all over the world. Airbnb is a service for renting apartments with a significant impact throughout the world. Since the company's decision to remove all homes in Jewish settlements in the West Bank demonstrates hatred, prejudice, ignorance and hypocrisy, since the company operation is contrary to the values that are important to us Beverly Hills, since prejudice and discrimination based on religion has no place in our society, country and the world - the city council opposes the discriminatory decision.

“We urge the boycotting company to amend its disrespectful decision to the land of Israel and restore the original services immediately. If they do not do so - we call on all citizens of the world to boycott them until they reconsider their vile anti-Semitic activity."

Followers of Satmar & US " Peleg Rabbanim "R' Malkiel Kotler Lakewood and R' Schechter of Chaim Berlin Insult R' Chaim Kanievski

Some of you may know that Rav Chaim Kanievski met with the Zionist Ex Defense Minister of the Zionist State, Lieberman, and allowed him to write a letter in a brand new Sefer Torah that was finished in the downstairs of R' Chaim Kanievski's home.

Photos of this event was all over the Israeli Press!

Followers of Satmar and the two anti-Zionist Roshei Yeshivois, Rav Malkiel Kotler of Lakewood, and Rav Aron Shechter of Chaim Berlin, stuffed Pashkivelin under the doors of each room at the hotel of the Agudah Convention, making sure that all the guests were aware of this news story!

The following was a letter to YWN by an outraged guest!

Dear YWN,
I am sorry to be writing such a harsh letter while in my room just two hours before Shabbos, but I feel a public Mach’ah is in order. Not only that, but a public apology from the Agudah is in order.
I paid to attend the Convention to be spiritually uplifted by words of Gedolim. I did not pay to have a politically motivated newspaper, with an offensive headline stuffed under my door.
I am referring to a piece of trash that I wouldn’t use to lace the floor of my birdcage. This newspaper, suspected to be funded by Satmar, and two the leaders of the Peleg Yerushalmi in America (a Rosh yeshiva from Lakewood, and a Rosh Yeshiva from Flatbush), hardly has an ad in it, yet is published weekly and shoved into our mailboxes in Flatbush and Lakewood. Big deal. I and 99% of the rest of the world simply throw it in a trash bin. But to have this shoved under every single door at the convention is utterly disgusting.
Bnei Torah at the convention I have spoken to are appalled. On the cover page of this “special journal for the Agudah Convention”, there is a full-on attack on Maran Sar Hatorah Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita! There are no ample words to describe the horror and shock!
This lead article is a haskala- style mocking piece centering on Maran Sar HaTorah and the decisions he’s made.
The Agudah should be just as careful as they have been with the kashrus and ideology of the speakers, to be just as carefuls in protecting guests from the most dangerous infection of all- disdain and disrespect for gedolei Yisroel!
Shameful, and disgraceful.
Name withheld by request.

Noach's Teivah Coming To Israel Finally!

For two years, the world’s only seaworthy life-size replica of Noah’s Ark has been wowing passengers traveling along Holland’s Maas River.
Built according to the specifications detailed in the Hebrew Bible, the 390-foot-long vessel towers to a height of 75 feet. It boasts enough wood to fell 12,000 trees. And its distinct form dominates the coastline of the small town hosting it deep in southern Holland’s so-called Bible Belt.
Dwarfing even some modern-day cruise ships, the ark instantly became an international tourist attraction when it was completed  in 2012 after four years of construction.
But the man who built it, the devout Christian businessman Johan Huibers, can’t wait to take the mammoth to Israel—a country whose problems and successes, he said, are always on his mind.
“My preferred destination for the ark is Israel,” Huibers, 60, told JTA earlier this month on the forward deck, which features a life-size statue of a giraffe.
His love for the Jewish state and people, he said, flows from the same impulse that compelled him to raise nearly $5 million to build the ark.
“It may sound scary, but I believe everything written in this book, cover to cover,” he said while pointing at a copy of a translation into Dutch of the Hebrew Bible. “This is a copy of God’s ship. It only makes sense to take it to God’s land.”

Rabbi Shalom Ber Sorotzkin "Either El Al apologizes or face boycott"

A well-known charedi rabbi is threatening to boycott El Al if the carrier does not apologize for causing religious Jews to violate Shabbat last week.

In a letter to El AL, Rabbi Shalom Ber Sorotzkin wrote that "if by Sunday evening an apology is not issued, unfortunately, we will have to start preferring other airlines".

Many in the charedi community have been calling to boycott El Al following a flap last Shabbat between the carrier and its observant passengers.

Israeli Bobover Chassidim Will Wear Hats Instead of Shtreimlich This Shabbas

Passengers from Flight 028, from the US to Israel were shocked to

discover that all their baggage with their Shabbos clothing were left in Newark for "security reasons"!

Bobover Chassidim are furious with  El Al, although this time it is unclear who is to blame for the mishap.

Flight 028 from New York landed on Friday morning with 200 Chassidim, about 160 of them from Bobov who returned from a wedding. They received notice that the suitcases with the Sabbath clothes and the Shtreimelch remained "for security reasons" in Newark.

"We were told that we were dealing with security reasons, but the feeling was that this was a technical malfunction that left us in this situation," one of the passengers told DIN.

El Al response was:
"Due to the lack of manpower at the TSA (the security inspection supervisors in Newark), the baggage was delayed for inspection and arrived at our security check after the passengers were already on the plane!

LETTUCE-PRAY ..... Romaine still on shelves of Frum stores even after E. coli warning from health officials ...

Watching this video, I was mamash embarrassed to be a frum Jew! .... The frummies sounded so crazy and naive .... one big bruiser with a stupid smile on his face ... said, "I'll risk it"

Are they are all so sure that BODEK & POSITIVE have no E coli..... ? I sure hope they don't ....
but to say "I'll risk it" is dumb....

Will you "risk it" and feed it to your toddlers???
Meshigiginer!!!!

The right answer would have been to tell the reporter that "Bodek and Positive have informed and assured our community that their products are safe and not  included in the warning of health officials .... "

One fool asked "is this a law?'
Hey ... Is there is a law on not drinking bleach??? .....

On what planet are we living in????

It may not "be a law" but it's no "mitzvah" to eat it either!
