This article from The Jerusalem Post appeared before the election!
New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is "not an antisemite," leaders of the antizionist haredi (ultra-Orthodox) Satmar community wrote in the upcoming edition of weekly community newspaper Der Blatt.
Screenshots of the article in the newspaper, dated for Friday, were shared by Jewish NYC journalists on Wednesday.
"From the first minute he was very open with the rabbis [of the Satmar community] about the war in Israel, he’s a very liberal Muslim," the letter continued.
The Satmar community in New York is split based on which son of the previous grand rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum is recognized as the legitimate heir.(He chose the younger one R Zalman Leib)
'Vicious campaign portraying Mamdani as antisemitic is false and dangerous'
Der Blatt is the outlet of the followers of Aaron Teitelbaum, However, the other Satmar community, which follows Zalman Leib Teitelbaum, also issued a similar statement, condemning the "vicious campaign" portraying Mamdani as an antisemite as "false and dangerous."Hamas is literally congratulating Zohran Mamdani.

Satmar and Mamdani don't hate Jews, they only hate Zionists.

Yup! 7 1/2 million of them, which includes Shoimrei Torah Umitzvois!
The belief that it is ok to murder Jews if they live in Eretz Yisroel is anti-Jewish.
Zohran is a Chusid, Zoharan = someone that learns Zohar, mimeileh he has common ground with Chasidim.
Zohran Mamdani is an OTD Muslim. He goes around bareheaded, his wife is an artist who doesn't dress tzniusdik.
Satmar hates any jews that are not satmar. Period.
Iran is friendly with it's Jews also even though they would like nothing better than to drop an atomic bomb on Israel even if they die also. Google 12th imam

Yes Iran is friendly with the Jews, except of course when they execute them:

Do you understand there’s difference between Judaism and Zionism? Actually Is there anything that a Jew and a Zionist have in common?
“Some of my best friends are Jews”. I think my pals Abby Stein, Jerrold Nadler & Ezra Friedlander even read this blog.

Yehoshua again posting as Anonymous!
Zionism was born out of Jewish identity, Jewish suffering, and Jewish yearning for redemption. It’s not a substitute for Judaism—it’s a response to centuries of exile, persecution, and pogroms.
Zionism draws directly from Jewish historical memory—especially the longing for Jerusalem and the return to Tzion mentioned in our prayers and texts.
Antisemites rarely distinguish between “Jew” and “Zionist.” To them, it’s all the same. That should tell you something.
Whether religious or secular, Zionists helped build the infrastructure that now supports Torah learning, yeshivos, and Jewish life in Israel at a scale unimaginable a century ago.
🧠Final Thought
You don’t have to be a Zionist to be a Jew. But denying the overlap between the two—especially in today’s world—is not just historically blind, it’s strategically reckless. The Jewish people are diverse, but our survival has always depended on unity, not division.
