I heard that Shlomo Zalman Auerbach said that when he would daven at Kevarim he would go to Har Herzl to daven at the kevarim of soldiers who were killed fighting defending Israel.
I was once walking with someone in Jerusalem and Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach and his coterie passed on the other side of the street. "You know who that is?" my friend asked me. "It's Rav Shmuel Auerback, Rav Shlomo Zalman's sound. And if you listen carefully, you can hear Rav Shlomo Zalman rolling in his grave."
You're in Israel. You have the ultimate place to go - Machpelah in Chevron. You have kevers of the Rambam and other huge figures. But you leave Eretz Yisrael to pray elsewhere?
Ain't going to pass. The sons' invariable responses to such challenges: We heard what our father would really hold 'in the kitchen' once the front door was shut!

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman
But he raised his children to be less "moderate" than he needed to position himself
