Hebron Tribal Leaders Seek to Join Abraham Accords, Split from PA, Recognize Israel as Jewish State*_

According to a Wall Street Journal report, five prominent tribal sheikhs from Hebron are pushing to join the Abraham Accords, calling to replace the Palestinian Authority (PA) with their own leadership and expressing full recognition of Israel as a Jewish state.

“We want cooperation with Israel,” said Sheikh Wadi’ al-Ja’abari. “We want coexistence.”

Al-Ja’abari and four other sheikhs signed a formal letter committing to peace and full recognition of Israel. Their plan: for Hebron to separate from the Palestinian Authority, establish an autonomous emirate, and officially join the Abraham Accords.

The letter was addressed to Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat, former mayor of Jerusalem, who has met with the sheikhs more than ten times since February and hosted them at his home. They’ve asked Barkat to deliver the letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and are currently awaiting a response.

“The Hebron Emirate will recognize the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people,” the sheikhs write, “and Israel will recognize the Hebron Emirate as the representative of the Arab residents of the Hebron district.”

The letter proposes establishing a timeline for negotiations to join the Abraham Accords and replace the Oslo Accords, which they say led only to “harm, death, economic disaster, and destruction.” They argue that Oslo empowered a corrupt Palestinian Authority at the expense of “authentic and traditional leadership — the tribes.”

As part of their economic vision, the sheikhs are asking for permission for 1,000 Hebron residents to begin working in Israel, with the potential to expand to 5,000 and even 50,000 over time. Barkat reportedly told them that such a scale-up is possible. The letter promises “zero tolerance for terrorism by workers,” in contrast to the PA, which they note pays salaries to imprisoned attackers.

Minister Barkat says the traditional peace process has failed and believes “new thinking is needed.” He is advancing the plan with the knowledge of the Israeli government, and while Netanyahu has expressed cautious support, he is waiting to see how it develops.

Now that Sheikh al-Ja’abari has gone public, pressure is mounting.

The article emphasizes the longstanding ties between Hebron tribal leaders and the settler community, stating that settlers “will find much to embrace in the plan.” The sheikhs also note their cooperation with Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, who confirmed he’s been working with them on the initiative.

“I first met Sheikh al-Ja’abari 13 years ago,” said Dagan. “His father was a brave leader who put his people first — and so does the son.”

BMG Roshei Yeshiva Join Protest Taking Place Outside Lakewood Police HQ Over Yungerman’s Arrest

A major demonstration is unfolding tonight outside the Lakewood Police Department headquarters, as hundreds of community members – including the BMG roshei yeshiva – rally in support of R’ Binyomin Kubani, a respected yungerman and father of eight who was arrested on Thursday under deeply troubling circumstances.

The arrest has sent shockwaves through the Lakewood kehilla, with many accusing the police of acting recklessly, ignoring basic investigative protocol, and increasingly showing disregard for the overwhelmingly Orthodox Jewish population of Lakewood — which comprises the vast majority of township residents.

The controversy began when R’ Binyomin, who learns in BMG, stopped at a Route 88 car wash with his child after discovering leftover meat had leaked in his van from the previous Shabbos. He hoped to hire a day worker — as is common practice across Lakewood — to help clean the carpets. According to multiple witnesses, he approached a 15-year-old Hispanic youth he had previously hired around Erev Pesach for a similar job. He asked if the boy wanted to come to his house later to clean the van.

Instead of agreeing, the boy took a picture of R’ Binyomin, flagged down a passing Lakewood patrol car, and claimed he had been “solicited.” Police immediately took the teen to headquarters for a statement, and, without interviewing R’ Binyomin or allowing him to present any explanation or evidence, arrested him and booked him into the Ocean County jail in Toms River. He remains held there, awaiting a court appearance that may only take place Tuesday.

Police in these situations typically interview both parties and attempt to establish a timeline of facts before making an arrest. Yet R’ Binyomin was denied the opportunity to make any statement or show supporting proof, even though he had an attorney present, sources told Lakewood Alerts.

Meanwhile, frustration with the Lakewood Police Department has erupted into public anger, with protestors now demanding accountability and even calling for high-level changes within the department. Chatter is intensifying about replacing the police chief and possibly other senior officers seen as having failed the township’s community.

Lakewood Alerts has confirmed through reliable sources that there is already discussion at the township level of a leadership shake-up at the department, as confidence in current command staff has cratered.

Lakewood Alerts previously reported that Police Chief Greg Meyer had recently suffered a health emergency while away on vacation and had to be flown back by emergency medical helicopter — a detail the department tried to keep under wraps.

Unilever Cuts Millions for Ben & Jerry’s Charity

Unilever, Ben & Jerry’s parent company, is cutting millions of dollars in funding for the Vermont-based ice cream chain’s foundation after the latter refused to turn over audit documents about donations to pro-Palestinian groups, Semafor reported.

The foundation trustees “have continued to resist basic oversight,” which “represents a marked departure from the norms of charitable organizations, for whom transparency is typically a bedrock operating principle,” Peter ter Kulve, a Unilever executive, wrote to Ben & Jerry’s executives.

The Ben & Jerry’s Foundation distributed “more than $5 million of Unilever’s money in 2022, mostly to progressive organizations, and has done so ever since the quirky, left-leaning Vermont creamery was acquired by the corporate giant in 2000,” according to the report.

“Since then, Ben & Jerry’s politics have been a headache for its parent, and the tensions between the two have grown more acute as the business community got swept into the culture wars, first pulled to the left in the mid-2010s, then retreating rightward under the second Trump administration,” Semafor added.

Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen has accused the Jewish state of “genocide,” and the ice-cream company said in 2021 that it wouldn’t sell its items in Judea and Samaria.

The manipulated campaign against the 'Hilltop Youth'

I have been speaking out against the manipulated campaign of "settler violence" for years. With it returning to the headlines due to what happened over Shabbat, I want to provide a comprehensive overview of the issue for people to better understand.

I know the hilltop youth, that include guys and girls, not just teenage boys. Not from afar, but up close, while serving in uniform in this war patrolling the Judean Hills.

Yes, many are young teenagers. Some come from broken homes. Some push boundaries. Many are not even from Judea and Samaria. But they do not hate the IDF. They proudly serve in the IDF when they reach draft age. Sometimes their actions go too far, and anyone who does so must be punished for doing so, but the rare mistakes of a few do not justify branding an entire movement of modern-day Maccabees, literally on the frontline of Israel and the Jewish people, as violent extremists or terrorists.

Iran's crazy search for spies

As Iranian officials flail about, arresting hundreds of innocent people and executing "dozens" of alleged spies, now is a good time to recall that among all the things the Islamic Republic is terrible at, its feeble attempts at counter-espionage stand out as especially inept.

While IRGC and other regime goons search frantically in the most bizarre places for foreign and domestic enemies (and a small number of Israelis were arrested for gathering information for Iranian agents, ed.), an intricate espionage network has been growing right under their noses.

Israeli intelligence officers have been smuggling weapons, drones, communication gear, and even vehicles into Iran for years using "suitcases, trucks and tankers." They and their Iranian agents have been spreading equipment throughout the Islamic Republic.

And what have Iran's "crazy state" counterespionage professionals been doing?

Beit Shemesh:Rabbi "dumbing us down" claims girl killed in a car accident was 'because of draft orders'????

DIN: Reports are that this girl was mowed down by a Charedie in the parking lot of her own building! Rumors are that he was reckless! So this clueless disconnected "rabbi" says this was because of the "draft orders," you cannot make this stuff up!
Hey Rabbi She got killed by one of your own congregants because he drove into the parking lot where there are children on their bikes all the time and drove like a wild untamed meshiginar! If he was in the army, this wouldn't have happened!

Large crowds accompanied Abigail Yaakov, the 4-year-old, to her rest yesterday (Wednesday), who was killed in a serious traffic accident on Rabbi Yitzhak Nafcha Street in Beit Shemesh.

During the funeral, one of the eulogists, Rabbi Toufik, chose to link the tragedy to the draft orders sent yesterday to yeshiva students.

"So many tragedies, obviously we must strengthen our faith," said the Rabbi during his eulogy. "We hear that today 54,000 draft orders are issued to yeshiva students. This is such a guilty act - who knows if this sacrifice didn't come to atone a little."

The Rabbi further emphasized the importance of unity among the people of Israel: "Along with our strengthening, we need to know that we are messengers of compassion, love of Israel for one another, this 'togetherness' is supports us."

The accident occurred at 17:07 when the child was struck by a vehicle while riding a toy car. According to emergency responder testimonies, the child was found unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, suffering from a head injury and significant bleeding.

MDA paramedics Shmuel Arieli and Tzvi Aryeh Zeibeld described: "It was a very severe traffic accident. We found her lying unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, suffering from a head injury and significant bleeding." Emergency teams began advanced resuscitation efforts on-site and evacuated her to the trauma room at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in critical condition.

United Hatzalah volunteers added: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 4-year-old girl lying on the road without a pulse and not breathing, with multiple injuries after being hit by a vehicle while riding a toy car."

Despite extensive resuscitation efforts, doctors at the hospital were forced to pronounce the child's death. It was one of four such deaths of children throughout Israel in that day.

Mysterious Signal May Have Hijacked Iranian Missiles Mid-Flight

A tech CEO says his firm may have witnessed a groundbreaking defensive cyberattack that tricked Iranian missiles into crashing into the Mediterranean during the recent Iran-Israel conflict.

Sean Gorman, CEO of location-tech startup Zephyr, believes his team may have spotted an “exotic” and highly advanced form of GNSS spoofing—one capable of faking not just false positions, but entire flight paths.

Normally, spoofing hijacks navigation systems by overpowering real satellite signals and feeding fake location data. Most spoofed devices “teleport” instantly to one spot. But this time, the behavior was different.

While monitoring signal activity in Haifa during the war, Zephyr’s team noticed that a phone running their software reported a strange trajectory—a smooth arc out into the sea, as if following a missile’s path.

“It wasn’t jamming or typical spoofing,” said Gorman. “The position data didn’t jump—it moved in a curve, like a guided object being rerouted mid-air. That’s a new pattern we’ve never seen before.”

Zephyr had deployed phones globally, backed by a U.S. government research grant, to study spoofing in regions known for electronic warfare. The anomaly was spotted only once, in the midst of Iranian missile fire over northern Israel.

Gorman believes the missiles may have been tricked into thinking they were still locked onto their original targets—even as they drifted harmlessly out to sea.

No actor has been identified, but the signal appeared to originate somewhere in the Middle East.

Chaim Rotter the Monster and Founder of Shoimrim in Bnei-Brak Arrested on Multiple Rape Charges at Ben Gurion Airport

The Petah Tikva Magistrate Court extended until next Thursday the detention of a man said to be a senior figure in the Shomrim organization in Bnei Brak by eight days, on suspicion of dozens of rapes of children and adults over serveral years. He was apprehended by Israel Police at Ben-Gurion Airport late Wednesday night. By press time, his name had not yet been cleared for publication.

The man flew out of Israel about two weeks ago, and was arrested upon his return and taken in for questioning. He is considered to be a prominent figure in Bnei Brak, and in the ultra-Orthodox (haredi) community at large.

At the hearing on Wednesday, the suspect was silent when asked if he wished to respond to the allegations. One of his alleged victims, Meir, called out, “He raped me. You are evil, you are cursed. I am sick. He almost cut off my penis. He raped the mother of my child.” The judge tried to calm things down and directed the complainant to provide testimony to the investigative unit.
