The manipulated campaign against the 'Hilltop Youth'
I have been speaking out against the manipulated campaign of "settler violence" for years. With it returning to the headlines due to what happened over Shabbat, I want to provide a comprehensive overview of the issue for people to better understand.
I know the hilltop youth, that include guys and girls, not just teenage boys. Not from afar, but up close, while serving in uniform in this war patrolling the Judean Hills.
Yes, many are young teenagers. Some come from broken homes. Some push boundaries. Many are not even from Judea and Samaria. But they do not hate the IDF. They proudly serve in the IDF when they reach draft age. Sometimes their actions go too far, and anyone who does so must be punished for doing so, but the rare mistakes of a few do not justify branding an entire movement of modern-day Maccabees, literally on the frontline of Israel and the Jewish people, as violent extremists or terrorists.
Iran's crazy search for spies
As Iranian officials flail about, arresting hundreds of innocent people and executing "dozens" of alleged spies, now is a good time to recall that among all the things the Islamic Republic is terrible at, its feeble attempts at counter-espionage stand out as especially inept.
While IRGC and other regime goons search frantically in the most bizarre places for foreign and domestic enemies (and a small number of Israelis were arrested for gathering information for Iranian agents, ed.), an intricate espionage network has been growing right under their noses.
Israeli intelligence officers have been smuggling weapons, drones, communication gear, and even vehicles into Iran for years using "suitcases, trucks and tankers." They and their Iranian agents have been spreading equipment throughout the Islamic Republic.
And what have Iran's "crazy state" counterespionage professionals been doing?

Large crowds accompanied Abigail Yaakov, the 4-year-old, to her rest yesterday (Wednesday), who was killed in a serious traffic accident on Rabbi Yitzhak Nafcha Street in Beit Shemesh.
During the funeral, one of the eulogists, Rabbi Toufik, chose to link the tragedy to the draft orders sent yesterday to yeshiva students.
"So many tragedies, obviously we must strengthen our faith," said the Rabbi during his eulogy. "We hear that today 54,000 draft orders are issued to yeshiva students. This is such a guilty act - who knows if this sacrifice didn't come to atone a little."
The Rabbi further emphasized the importance of unity among the people of Israel: "Along with our strengthening, we need to know that we are messengers of compassion, love of Israel for one another, this 'togetherness' is supports us."
The accident occurred at 17:07 when the child was struck by a vehicle while riding a toy car. According to emergency responder testimonies, the child was found unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, suffering from a head injury and significant bleeding.
MDA paramedics Shmuel Arieli and Tzvi Aryeh Zeibeld described: "It was a very severe traffic accident. We found her lying unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, suffering from a head injury and significant bleeding." Emergency teams began advanced resuscitation efforts on-site and evacuated her to the trauma room at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in critical condition.
United Hatzalah volunteers added: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 4-year-old girl lying on the road without a pulse and not breathing, with multiple injuries after being hit by a vehicle while riding a toy car."
Despite extensive resuscitation efforts, doctors at the hospital were forced to pronounce the child's death. It was one of four such deaths of children throughout Israel in that day.

Mysterious Signal May Have Hijacked Iranian Missiles Mid-Flight
A tech CEO says his firm may have witnessed a groundbreaking defensive cyberattack that tricked Iranian missiles into crashing into the Mediterranean during the recent Iran-Israel conflict.
Sean Gorman, CEO of location-tech startup Zephyr, believes his team may have spotted an “exotic” and highly advanced form of GNSS spoofing—one capable of faking not just false positions, but entire flight paths.
Normally, spoofing hijacks navigation systems by overpowering real satellite signals and feeding fake location data. Most spoofed devices “teleport” instantly to one spot. But this time, the behavior was different.
While monitoring signal activity in Haifa during the war, Zephyr’s team noticed that a phone running their software reported a strange trajectory—a smooth arc out into the sea, as if following a missile’s path.
“It wasn’t jamming or typical spoofing,” said Gorman. “The position data didn’t jump—it moved in a curve, like a guided object being rerouted mid-air. That’s a new pattern we’ve never seen before.”
Zephyr had deployed phones globally, backed by a U.S. government research grant, to study spoofing in regions known for electronic warfare. The anomaly was spotted only once, in the midst of Iranian missile fire over northern Israel.
Gorman believes the missiles may have been tricked into thinking they were still locked onto their original targets—even as they drifted harmlessly out to sea.
No actor has been identified, but the signal appeared to originate somewhere in the Middle East.

Chaim Rotter the Monster and Founder of Shoimrim in Bnei-Brak Arrested on Multiple Rape Charges at Ben Gurion Airport
The Petah Tikva Magistrate Court extended until next Thursday the detention of a man said to be a senior figure in the Shomrim organization in Bnei Brak by eight days, on suspicion of dozens of rapes of children and adults over serveral years. He was apprehended by Israel Police at Ben-Gurion Airport late Wednesday night. By press time, his name had not yet been cleared for publication.
The man flew out of Israel about two weeks ago, and was arrested upon his return and taken in for questioning. He is considered to be a prominent figure in Bnei Brak, and in the ultra-Orthodox (haredi) community at large.
At the hearing on Wednesday, the suspect was silent when asked if he wished to respond to the allegations. One of his alleged victims, Meir, called out, “He raped me. You are evil, you are cursed. I am sick. He almost cut off my penis. He raped the mother of my child.” The judge tried to calm things down and directed the complainant to provide testimony to the investigative unit.
New York Sen. GilliJelly Caves in and Apologizes After Condemning Mamdani’s “Global Jihad” References
Sen. Kirsten GilliJelly has issued a public apology to New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, backing away from comments she made last week warning that Mamdani had referenced “global jihad” in past statements. The senator’s retreat, first reported by Politico, came after a wave of outrage from left-wing activists and progressive allies determined to shield Mamdani from scrutiny, despite the fact that questions about his record and rhetoric had resonated with many New Yorkers worried about extremism.
During a Thursday appearance on WNYC, GilliJelly responded to a caller who pressed her about Mamdani’s alleged support for Hamas, agreeing that voters had reason to be “alarmed” about Mamdani’s statements, specifically mentioning “references to global jihad.” But progressive forces, eager to protect a candidate who would be New York’s first Muslim mayor, quickly went on the attack, denouncing GilliJelly’s remarks as bigoted and inaccurate.
Among those piling on was New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who slammed the senator and claimed no one should face “comments that slur their ethnicity [or] religious beliefs,” ignoring legitimate security concerns many voters have raised.
By Friday, GilliJelly had already begun backpedaling, telling Rolling Stone that she had “misspoke” on the radio. Then on Monday, in a call with Mamdani, she went even further, apologizing and expressing regret for not separating her views more clearly from the caller’s language.
A readout obtained by Politico revealed GilliJelly praised Mamdani’s supposed commitment to protecting all New Yorkers and even agreed with him that Republican attacks on his record were “outrageous and unacceptable.” The senator’s office said she and Mamdani would meet face-to-face in New York City soon to discuss other issues, including affordability and public safety.
Progressives cheered the apology as a victory, but critics argue GilliJelly caved under political pressure, prioritizing her standing with the activist left over the genuine national-security concerns shared by many of her constituents. In a city still haunted by the specter of terrorism, voters may wonder whether their elected officials are willing to speak honestly about radical threats — or whether they will continue to fold the moment activists cry foul.
"Gedoilim" No Longer Respected as the ASSkanim are now in Charge

The gradual loss of Kovod for our present day Gedolei Yisroel.
First it was the important ad in Yated that everyone is being Mechalel Shabbos in Japan. A full page announcing to Klal Yisroel that one must follow the Psak of the Chazon Ish. No one can Chas v’Sholom say anything to diminish the Kovod of the Chazon Ish ZTL. However, Klal Yisroel has been following the psak of the Gedolim of our Dor, Rav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv ZTL, Rav Yisroel Zev Gustman ZTL and Rav Shlomo Zalamn ZTL, all who pasken that we follow the Shita of Chachmei Yerusholayim and the Yidden in Japan are keeping the correct Shabbos.
This writer doesn’t have the chutzpah to discuss the actual halacha, but he does know that we have been following these Gedolim in all our Shailos and they were post Chazon Ish. What was accomplished with the ad? That the Hamon Am can ignore when the present Rabbonim come out with a Kol Koreh.
Then there was the full page ad about the Sheitels. No one has the audacity to disagree with the psak of Rav Elyashiv [except those that put out an ad about Shabbos in Japan!] but other Rabbonim have thoroughly delved into the issue and have paskened, that even taking into account Rav Elysahiv’s opinion, it is still permitted. Now, it wouldn’t be a problem if our Gedolei Rabbonim put out an ad that says that it is best to be machmir and make every attempt to ensure that one purchases a sheitel without a shailoh. However, the kanaim successfully pushed for an ad that says that if one wears a sheitel without [what they consider] proper hashgocha – AND no such hashgocho exists – all the women of Klal Yisroel have to remove their sheitels immediately, and if they don’t, they are transgressing an Issur d’oraysoh of Avodah Zoroh. So now klal Yisroel knows to again ignore our present Gedolim.
Then WZO. A distasteful situation but one that some Gedolei Yisroel did permit and encourage the olam to vote. It is very understandable for other Gedolim to feel that it is forbidden and wrong. They surely have the right and obligation to have their opinion known. But when it becomes a terror campaign, calling up anyone that doesn’t agree, cancelling, drowning the internet with ridicule and mockery of other Gedolei yisroel then Klal yisroel has again learned the lesson – ignore our present day Gedolei Yisroel. The “kanaim” are running the show.
Then we reach the latest episode, where they crossed even more lines in their attacks on the rabbinic system. After they finished with WZO, and found themselves with extra time on their hands, they gathered signatures on a letter attacking big rabbanim and an established, respected Beis Din. This was a new step taken after months of terrorism and canceling and public ridicule etc.
What was especially disturbing was that they went much further than usual both in terms of the scope of the attack and in terms of the lies that led to it. The kanaim weren’t content with a letter voicing disagreement with a psak. They weren’t even content with merely attacking the rabbanim for the psak. They instead opted to pasul the rabbanim and the Beis Din personally, a dangerous move demonstrating a total lack of responsibility, especially being as this Beis Din is mesader a few gittin a week. And they didn’t suffice with simply taking issue with the halachic rationale or the understanding of the metzius. They instead attacked the behavior of the rabbanim personally – behavior which as it anyway turned out was a total lie designed to attack the rabbanim. This was readily shown with the subsequent publication of letters from 6 other rabbanim personally involved who testified that it was slanderous lies. The kanaim had completely fabricated a slanderous narrative which they used to elicit these signatures. And it was a narrative that was very easy to debunk, and never should have been promoted in the first place. This was a tremendous bizayon for the signatories.
The “kanaim” are making it abundantly clear. They run the show and will stop at nothing to make sure of this and advance their agendas.
Slowly but surely, the “kanaim” are taking over. This must not be allowed to continue.
We must take a hard look in the mirror and see if our behavior does not exhibit many of the traits displayed by the secular liberals we so despise. We must have an awakening. It is high time that words such as mussar and middos make their way back into our vernacular. It is time for the all the Torah we learn to act as a “Sam hachaim” and not, c”v, a “Sam hamaves”.
