4-year-old Chareidie Jerusalem boy choked by 20-year-old relative

A 4-year-old boy from Jerusalem was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday, with police arresting a family member on suspicion of choking him.

Police were treating the case as a suspected murder.

The boy, a resident of Jerusalem’s Ramot neighborhood, was rushed to the city’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center after suspected choke marks were found on his neck. Paramedics were trying to resuscitate him.

Police said officers sent to Ramot to investigate the incident arrested one of the boy’s relatives, who is in his 20s.

Citing an initial probe, police said the boy did not respond this morning to the calls of family members. After the father was called home from synagogue, the family noticed the suspect’s door was locked and broke into his room, where they found the boy lying on the floor, according to police.

Police said officers sent to Ramot to investigate the incident arrested one of the boy’s relatives, who is in his 20s.

According to reports, the suspect suffers from mental illness.

“The investigation is ongoing,” a police statement said.

‘Save Maimonides’ group gets 1,000 complaints about hospital care

Care at Maimonides Medical Center in Borough Park has gotten so bad that one dad said his wife had to practically deliver their baby on her own.

The mom rang the call bell three times without response at the understaffed hospital last month, as she felt the baby about to arrive, said the Borough Park man who did not want to be identified.

“She started yelling, ‘Go get a nurse. The baby’s coming out, the baby’s coming out!’ ” the man recalled.

By the time his mother-in-law, who was in the hospital room with the couple, was able to get help, the baby was half-way out, he said.

“The nurse came, she was all shocked,” the dad said.

The baby was healthy but “things could have gone very, very wrong,” he added.

Liz Cheney’s husband is a partner at the law firm defending Hunter Biden

Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney’s husband is a partner at the law firm now representing Hunter Biden.

Philip Perry has worked at Latham & Watkins since 2007, and focuses on white collar cases, commercial and Supreme Court litigation, according to his company biography.

Another Latham partner, Chris Clark, has been representing Hunter Biden since December 2020 — but Cheney’s husband’s involvement at the firm had not been previously known.

Latham is a Democratic powerhouse, with company attorneys and other employees donating more than half a million dollars to President Biden’s 2020 campaign, Federal Election Commission records show. Clark himself ponied up $3,800.

Clark’s work for the first son is prominently displayed on his company profile, which notes his representation of Hunter in a “grand jury investigation regarding tax issues.”

The firm’s close ties to the Democratic party have come under scrutiny in the past.

On his first day in office, with a Justice Department probe of Hunter in full swing, President Biden appointed Nicholas McQuaid, another Latham partner, to lead the Justice Department’s criminal division — earning a written rebuke from Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin).

Cheney, who was first elected to the state’s only House seat in 2016, saw her political popularity at home tank after she became a ferocious Trump critic and voted to impeach the former president.

The daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney is widely expected to lose a primary next week to challenger Harriet Hageman who has been endorsed by both Trump and House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy.

Garland must reveal more, otherwise this Trump raid looks like a nothingburger

We’re going to need to see everything.

We now know more about the search of Mar-a-Lago, and, of course, it has settled absolutely nothing.

Reporting on the documents taken from former President Donald Trump’s property — as well as the release of the search warrant by the judge who approved it — has filled in some more outlines of the story, although there is too much we still don’t know.

The quagmire underlines what seems, at the very least, the unbelievable imprudence of the search.

YeshivaWorld Blog Puts its Logo On Trump Search Warrant

The Search Warrant that the FBI obtained to search Trump's home is a public document, that any "yukel" with a minimum of technical knowledge can obtain with two clicks with his mouse.

All of the news sites have it without a "logo" but the yeshivishe blog put a logo on it so that their "oilim goilim" readers will think this was exclusive to them.

New York Times columnist David Brooks fears the FBI raid will ‘re-elect Donald Trump’

The New York Times columnist David Brooks worried Thursday the FBI's raid of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home will help his chances of electoral victory in 2024.

Brooks further argued Trump's main message is that societal elites are ruining America, and that there is a lot of truth in that. "Why is Donald Trump so powerful?" Brooks asked. "How did he come to dominate one of the two major parties and get himself elected president?" He answered that it's Trump's "narratives" and "powerful stories that ring true to tens of millions of Americans," the main one being "that America is being ruined by corrupt coastal elites."

"According to this narrative, there is an interlocking network of highly educated Americans who make up what the Trumpians have come to call the Regime: Washington power players, liberal media, big foundations, elite universities, woke corporations. These people are corrupt, condescending and immoral and are looking out only for themselves," he wrote.

He continued, "They are out to get Trump because Trump is the person who stands up to them. They are not only out to get Trump; they are out to get you."

Brooks admitted that "this narrative has a core of truth to it" and "highly educated metropolitan elites have become something of a self-enclosed Brahmin class." He argued, however, that "the Trumpian propaganda turns what is an unfortunate social chasm into venomous conspiracy theory."

"Trump’s political career has been kept afloat by elite scorn. The more elites scorn him, the more Republicans love him," Brooks wrote.

He argued that the FBI's raid of Trump's residence has united the Republican Party. "Several weeks ago, about half of Republican voters were ready to move on from Trump, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll. This week the entire party seemed to rally behind him," Brooks wrote.

However, Brooks' characterization of the GOP and Trump's standing in it prior to the raid is not consistent with the vast majority of polls, which according to the current Real Clear Politics average, show Trump having a 27.8 percent lead over the next potential primary challenger. Trump-endorsed candidates have also been achieving key wins in primaries across the country, reaffirming his grip on the Republican Party

The Times columnist also expressed concern that the FBI raid would make Republicans more likely to vote in the 2022 midterm elections. "According to a Trafalgar Group/Convention of States Action survey, 83 percent of likely Republican voters said the F.B.I. search made them more motivated to vote in the 2022 elections," Brooks wrote.

Brooks said that he feared the prosecution and imprisonment of Trump during an election would constitute "the most likely path to a complete democratic breakdown."

Trump is leading President Joe Biden in a potential 2024 rematch, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average. Many Republicans and even some Democrats, have argued that the FBI's raid against Trump appears politically motivated.

Deep State Infighting: DOJ Fingers FBI for Mar-a-Lago Raid Disaster

Senior U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) officials are blaming FBI Director Christopher Wray for the recent raid of former President Donald Trump’s home in an apparent attempt to take pressure off U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.

After Trump confirmed the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago on Monday, many Republican politicians called on both Wray and Garland to explain the justification for the raid.

For example, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said, “Merrick Garland, Chris Wray, come to the House Judiciary Committee this Friday and answer our questions about this action today, which has never happened in American history.”

Similarly, House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) called out the DOJ’s “intolerable state of weaponized politicization” and told Garland to “preserve your documents and clear your calendar” as he pledged an investigation into the FBI raid if the Republicans take control of the House after November’s midterms.

Even Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI), who voted to impeach Trump after the January 6 Capitol Riots, said Wray and Garland “owe transparency on the justification for setting such a striking precedent.”

Leftist Washington Post Tweets "Garland Vowed to depoliticize Justice. Then the FBI Searched Mar-a-Lago".... then deletes it

The Washington Post deleted a tweet promoting one of its stories on Wednesday that suggested Attorney General Merrick Garland “politicized” the Department of Justice by authorizing an FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

“Garland vowed to depoliticize Justice. Then the FBI searched Mar-a-Lago,” read the headline of a story written by Justice Department reporter Perry Stein.

The headline in the tweet sparked outrage on Twitter, which apparently prompted the Jeff Bezos-owned broadsheet to remove the tweet and re-post it using a different headline.

“No, he’s in the middle of unraveling a crime spree committed by the former president of the United States. There…fixed it for you,” one Twitter user wrote.

“This is so embarrassing I worry for the future of journalism,” another Twitter commenter said of the original headline.

Texans Fed Up with Illegal Border Crossings send busloads of immigrants to New York and other Leftist States, and they are not happy

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tapped into his inner “Dirty Harry” on Wednesday and publicly dared Mayor Eric Adams to “make my day” by carrying through on his threat to send New Yorkers to campaign against his re-election bid.

Abbott also vowed to keep sending busloads of asylum-seekers to New York City, saying Adams was merely “getting a taste” of what beleaguered border communities have been dealing with in the Lone Star State since President Biden took office.

Abbott’s comments on Fox News came amid his ongoing feud with Adams over migrant relocations and just hours after three charter buses hired by Abbott dropped off nearly 100 migrants outside the Port Authority terminal in Midtown Manhattan.

The transports added to almost 70 who arrived on Friday and Sunday.

In response to Adams’ threat Tuesday that he was “deeply contemplating taking a busload of New Yorkers to go to Texas and do some good, old-fashioned door-knocking” against Abbott, the Republican governor said, “You know, I kind of feel like Clint Eastwood.”

“Go ahead, mayor. Make my day,” he said.

Republicans Must "Drain the Swamp" Otherwise We are all Doomed!

This week’s unprecedented FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home is just one more reason Republicans must fight harder to reform a politicized and powerful bureaucracy.

For three years, the bogus Russia-collusion conspiracy theory helped derail Trump’s presidency, but the problem wasn’t just the lies of his Democratic foes and their media cheerleaders. The willingness of FBI agents and Department of Justice officials to pursue that partisan plot demonstrated that the idea these agencies are staffed by apolitical civil servants is a myth.

Though Attorney General Merrick Garland probably ordered the banana-republic-style effort to treat a former president and likely future political foe like a criminal, the willingness of civil servants to go along with it made it possible.

The travesty demonstrates anew the importance of reforming the civil service. Laws that were intended to ensure those who hold government jobs aren’t playing politics are instead protecting a status quo in which Democrats can count on bureaucrats to aid them and sabotage Republicans.

The “deep state” is no right-wing myth. While administrations come and go, the more than 2 million people who work for the federal government are largely immovable objects who cannot be fired except for cause and, as the Obama-era IRS scandal (among other incidents) indicated, not always then either.

Lois Lerner and other federal civil-service employees targeting conservative nonprofits exposed just how tight the Democrats’ grip on the administrative state is. And the fact that many IRS employees involved were able to stay in their jobs showed how hard it is to get rid of such people. That problem was also illustrated (so to speak) when a top-level Environmental Protection Agency employee was able to keep his job for years despite having thousands of pornographic files on his computer.

In the late 1800s, reformers like the young Teddy Roosevelt wanted to end the “spoils system” and make the civil service an apolitical body. The goal was to take politics and the potential for corruption out of the government. But in the 21st century, the system has created a different problem that threatens democracy.

For decades, the federal service has increasingly become a bastion for liberal Democrats. Every study shows that its members are almost uniformly on the left. To give just one example: 95% of federal bureaucrats who donated to a candidate in the 2016 presidential election gave to Hillary Clinton.

The Democrats’ grip on bureaucrats’ loyalties means these employees can stall and ultimately derail any attempt by conservatives to implement policies they don’t like. That was particularly problematic for a president like Trump, who didn’t want to play by the conventional rules set down by liberal “experts.”

Presidents are allowed to make 4,000 political appointments to government posts with about 1,200 of those subject to Senate confirmation. But 50,000 bureaucrats have decision-making authority over policy issues.

This “deep state” can be of enormous assistance to Democrats as they seek to transform government and the economy to conform to their ideological agenda. Republicans who want to drain the DC swamp, on the other hand, are faced with an unelected and unaccountable civil service that acts as an extra-constitutional fourth branch of government with an effective veto over elected politicians’ policies.

That’s why a growing number of Republicans realize that if they are to accomplish anything the next time they win the White House, they’re going to have to reform the civil service. A so-called “Schedule F” plan brought forward in the waning days of the Trump presidency — and a topic of discussion again — proposed changing the status of those 50,000-bureaucrat decision-makers from unfireable civil servant to worker serving at the pleasure of the president.

Liberals are slamming is as a step toward a Trumpist authoritarian regime, but it’s actually the opposite. It is long past time to strip this caste of partisan Democrat bureaucrats of their power and replace them, if need be, with people approved by someone whose power stems from the voters’ democratic will.

The worst corruption in Washington is the ability of those with lifetime tenure and no legal mandate to thwart the verdict of democracy as they tried to do after 2016 or, as we saw in Mar-a-Lago, act as accomplices to the politicization of justice. Whoever leads the GOP in 2024 must prioritize this plan and truly drain the swamp.

The Dramatic Moment a Saudi Ambassador Gives a Speech, Collapses And Drops Dead

Saudi Arabian Ambassador Muhammad Al-Qahtani died yesterday during his speech at the Arab-African conference in Cairo, capital of Egypt. The cause of death is unknown. He simply dropped dead, as you’ll see below.

The last words he said were about Egyptian President Abdel Fattah. “The dean of men and a man of peace,” said Al-Qahtani, before collapsing and dying.

The events were documented on tape. In the clip, you’ll observe how the diplomat falls to the ground as he delivered his speech from a podium.

Dozens of people watched in astonishment at the death of the Saudi ambassador.

Is the best yet to come?

A Wedding in Israel where only 10 people showed up

One Israeli couple - Anat and Lior Solomon - held a CHUPA wedding ceremony on August 3.

The bride's parents died not so long ago, first her mother, followed by her father, and only 10 people attended the wedding, the closest ones.

The wedding was boring, the hall was large and empty. The bride wept. That's not what she wanted to have.
One of the bridesmaids - Jafa - at ten o'clock in the evening published a note on Facebook: "If you can - just come to the CHUPU right now, no money needed, no gifts needed, just come to fill the empty hall and fulfill the commandment of joy the bride and groom". And she indicated the address of the hall "Harmony in the Garden" and the names of the newlyweds.

And this is what came of it:

More than two thousand Israelis on the first day of the working week, after the working day at ten o'clock in the evening or later read a Facebook post, got into their cars and went to the "Makhlef Gedera" junction 10 km from Ashdod.
They drove from different cities to an unknown girl and a guy... Just to cheer them up !!!

At the entrance of the hall where the ceremony was supposed to take place, at half past eleven at night strangers began to appear one after another. They took envelopes, wrote congratulations and wishes and put money and checks in them! People came even with small children who had no one to leave! They came and they went...

All these complete strangers came to fill the ceremony hall, witness the Chupa ceremony, greet the bride and groom with applause, sing wedding melodies, they brought gifts (money) and bestowed the young couple with their best wishes.
The bride and groom cried from feelings of gratitude and warmth...
