Inaugural Address Of Beit Shemesh Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch .... Home City of "Dus Iz Neis"

Beginning with the tefilla of the Kohen Gadol when he completes his Avoda of Yom Kippur, in her inaugural address, Beit Shemesh Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch exhibits a respect for the city’s Chief Rabbi, former mayors, members of the city council, activists who assisted in her election and the residents of the city, as well as all of the residents.

She spoke for ten minutes, during which she strived to demarcate the beginning of her tenure, a new period in the city’s history, one that she will be accompanied by achdus, however aware there are those who do not agree with her opinions.

Bloch stresses the need for maintaining a working relationship of mutual respect despite difference of opinion, and only time will tell if her efforts will succeed. She admits that the efforts to build a coalition are testimony to the complexities of the city, the different populations living together, both religious and secular, as well as dati leumi and chareidi; however, she stresses “not everyone will be happy with every decision”, and “we must show strength by compromising” from time to time towards quality of life and continuing to build the Beit Shemesh of tomorrow.

Heather Nauert next UN ambassador

From Fox & Friends to the State Department, and now to the United Nations.
President Trump is expected to announce Friday that he has chosen Heather Nauert, the State Department spokeswoman and a former Fox News host, to become the next ambassador to the U.N., a senior administration official tells NPR's Tamara Keith.
If confirmed, Nauert would replace Nikki Haley, who is leaving the post at the end of the year.
Nauert was camera-ready when she came to the State Department in April 2017, having worked at ABC and Fox. She never traveled with and was not close to her first boss at the department, former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
With Mike Pompeo in charge of State, Nauert has been on the road much more.
She's been a strong defender of Trump's at the podium, something he has clearly noticed.
"She's excellent, she's been with us a long time, she's been a supporter for a long time," Trump told reporters on Nov. 1.
The State Department used to hold daily briefings. That has been scaled back to two a week, at most.
Nauert, 48, has been back and forth between her husband and two sons in New York and her job in Washington, D.C.
Before joining the Trump administration, she had no government or foreign policy experience, though she did work on some overseas assignments for ABC, including in Baghdad.

FRUM KNESSET MK REFUSES TO HELP IN THE EXTRADITION of MALKA LEIFER ALLEGED SEX MOLESTER

EMMANUEL, West Bank — The last time the Sapper sisters saw Yisroel Aron Leifer, they had been responsible for taking him to school in Melbourne, Australia.
Over ten years had passed and the ladies were now confronting him under starkly different circumstances.
The young boy was now a teen living in Israel, where his family had fled amid accusations that his mother Malka Leifer molested students — among them sisters Nicole, Dassi and Elly — at the Adass Israel ultra-Orthodox girls’ school where she served as headmaster.
The Sappers say Leifer offered to privately tutor vulnerable students aged 14-15 and would exploit the private time in her office and at her home to abuse the young girls.
Leifer, an Israeli citizen, booked a red-eye flight with her family to Tel Aviv in 2008, following a heads-up from Adass officials days before the allegations against her surfaced.
Last February, the 51-year-old mother of eight was arrested by authorities who seek to extradite her back to Australia where she faces 74 charges of child sexual abuse.
Nicole (33), Dassi (31) and Elly (29) were in Israel last week to attend the 42nd court date connected to Leifer’s extradition — a process that has faced repeated delay due to appeals by her defense team, who have argued that she is mentally unfit to stand trial.
The sisters used their time in Israel to retrace the steps of their former principal, who after spending several years in the ultra-Orthodox town of Bnei Brak, had moved to the Emmanuel settlement.

Malkiel Kotler Gets Backing of Rabbi Baruch Shmuel Deutsch Leader of the Peleg Terrorists In His War With the Noveminsker

Rabbi Baruch Shmuel Deutsch, one of the leaders of the Yerushalmi Peleg faction in Israel, sent a letter to the Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood, New Jersey, R' Malkiel Kotler, supporting his rambling incoherent speech on Shabbos at the Agudah Convention two weeks ago.

The letter rebukes the Admor of Noveminsk, who called out R' Malkiel Kotler in his key note address on Motzei Shabbos...

Even if Mueller presents one hell of a report ... It Will Amount To a Hill OF Beans!!! 💩

For many Robert Mueller watchers, the air these days is electric. People sense the big shoes are about to drop.

Donald Trump has submitted his written answers to Mueller’s questions.

Paul Manafort has entered a plea agreement, but then continued to lie—at least according to Mueller.

Jerome Corsi,fringe-right author and personality, is vowing to go to jail for life rather than sign on to Mueller’s version of events.

Roger Stone is expecting to be indicted for something.

So is Donald Trump Jr.

And, most significant of all to those looking for a big payoff, Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about the timeline of a deal he was trying to make to construct a 100-story Trump-branded tower in Moscow. It turns out that the deal exploration continued past the time Trump had secured the Republican nomination, and Cohen and his associate Felix Sater, a real-estate promoter and one-time racketeer, had even discussed giving Vladimir Putin a $50 million penthouse in the building. “This is it,” people are saying. “This is the big one!”

We see the familiar cycle of hype, and there’s no use fighting it, but, once heart rates have slowed, the same old question remains:

 so what?

Carlebach's "Mimikomcha" Comes Alive With This Video

Monsey Blogger Unmasked Sued for Libel ..... Wants Court Case Public

Julie Globus has identified herself as the anonymous blogger who'd been writing under the name Lost Messiah

  • The Rockland County woman had been seeking to "uncover crimes, misdeeds and abuses within segments of the Jewish community"

  • She's facing a libel lawsuit, being accused of defamation. But she wants the case file unsealed

Julie Globus is now owning the name: Lost Messiah.
For two and a half years, the Rockland County resident -- a wife, mother and attorney -- wrote an anonymous blog under that name.

The blog’s stated purpose: "To uncover crimes, misdeeds and abuses within segments of the Jewish community in the hopes of effectuating change."

In an exclusive interview, Globus told the I-Team she had two separate focuses:

"One was on the ultra-Orthodox community, and the money -- where it was coming and going? And I was focusing on sexual abuse. I think there is a need to hold myself and others within that religious community accountable."

Globus said she wanted to remain anonymous to protect her family."

DANGEROUS Rebbetzin Temi Kamenetsky leads a conference call of FRUM ANTI-VAXX LOONIES giving them CHIZUK ??

by Mordechai Ovitz

Yesterday, Rebbetzin Temi Kamenetsky (wife of Rabbi Shmuel Kamenetsky) led a conference call of frum antivax loonies with the purpose of giving them chizuk to stay strong against reality. Below is a surreptitious recording of the call.

Rebbetzin Kamenetsky said such crazy, evil $%@# that I could not resist transcribing it. "Merck is Amalek!"
" Pharmaceutical companies are run by organized crime and killed a doctor who invented a cure for cancer!"
"Don't debate them (the vaxxers)"
UNREAL!!!!!

Here's what I transcribed:... (partially Transcribed ..... You must listen to this crazy conversation in total with these crazed Yentas!)

New York Times Messes With Rabbi Bender ...

Rabbi Bender with Betsy DeVos Secretary of Education
On Monday morning, the New York Times posted an article with the headline Do Children Get a Subpar Education in Yeshivas?
Among their most urgent criticisms, highlighted in the first paragraph, was that there are students yeshiva students who “have not been taught that dinosaurs once roamed Earth.”
The article was another grossly unfair New York Times attack on yeshivas and the frum way of life. (On Sunday, in honor of Chanukah the Times ran an op-ed with the title The Hypocrisy of Hanukkah!)
But in this instance the Times was even worse than usual, because it chose to illustrate its article on subpar yeshiva education with a photograph of Yeshiva Darchei Torah.
That prompted this strongly worded response from Rabbi Yaakov Bender, the Rosh Hayeshiva of Yeshiva Darchei Torah, who stood up not only for his yeshiva but for our yeshiva system.
Here is Rabbi Bender’s statement:

"13 Collection Boxes"

There were 13 Collection boxes, called "shofaros" because the shape of the box resembled somewhat of a shofar, in the Temple.

תקלין חדתין (New Shekalim) was written on one collection box, these were coins that people offered as "machtzis ha'shekel."

תקלין עתיקין (Old Shekalim) was written on another collection box, these coins were the "machtzis ha'shekel" that people offered the year before but for some reason were late in their donations.

קנין was written on another box, these coins used to buy mature birds.

גוזלי עולה was written on an other one, these coins were used to buy young birds.

עצים ... this box was used for the coins that went toward buying wood for the alter.

לבונה  this box contained coins that were used to buy the "korban levoineh"

זהב לכפרת this box contained gold used for utensils ..

The remaining six were for donative offerings.

Why was it necessary to have six boxes for donative offerings?

The rabbis differ on the reason ...

R' Chizkeyeh suggests that these boxes were designated for the six paternal houses of the kohanim.
The kohanim were divided into 24 groups called "mishmarois" or "watchers," each of which served in the Temple for a week at a time on a rotating basis. Each mishmar, in turn, was divided into 6 batei avos, paternal houses, one for each day of the week, besides Shabbos, when all would serve together.

R' Yochanan on the other hand, postulates that they needed 6 different boxes because if all coins were all placed in one box, the coins would get rusty.

The Media Loves Dead Republicans

Mainstream media members “don’t treat [Republicans] fairly in life” and only “embrace” them “in death,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham noted Monday night on “The Ingraham Angle” as she analyzed the past and present media coverage of the late George H.W. Bush.

Mainstream media members “don’t treat [Republicans] fairly in life” and only “embrace” them “in death,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham noted Monday night on “The Ingraham Angle” as she analyzed the past and present media coverage of the late George H.W. Bush.
Bush, who served as the nation’s 41st president from 1989 to 1993, died at age 94 in his home in Houston on Friday.
Media members and outlets delivered extensive tributes to Bush as they recounted the extraordinary sacrifices he made to serve his nation as a World War II veteran, a House member, a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, a CIA director, a vice president, a president — and more.
But it didn’t take too much effort for many in the media to use their glowing tributes of Bush as a stepping stone to criticisms of President Donald Trump.

90-year-old Israeli man chokes to death on Hanukkah doughnut

A 90-year-old man in central Israel choked to death on a doughnut during a Hanukkah candlelighting ceremony Monday evening.
Magen David Adom paramedics called to the community in the Shfela region southeast of Tel Aviv, said they dislodged a piece of dough stuck in the man’s throat, but were unable to revive him.
The man, who was attending a candlelighting ceremony at his local synagogue, was declared dead at the scene.

In a statement, the MDA warned that the jelly-filled doughnut, a Hannukah tradition, could be a choking hazard for children and the elderly.
On Sunday, MDA said paramedics were called to a Bnei Brak home to treat a 95-year-old man who choked on a doughnut. The unconscious man was taken to the Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv, and was said to be in stable condition on Monday.

Agrees with his new mentor rabbi that says that enlisting in the IDF is a mitzvah .... and this mitzvah is no less important then putting on Tefillin!

Jeremy Reichberg VS His Brother Moshe Reichberg

It’s brother vs. brother in an NYPD bribe case unfolding in Manhattan federal court.
Mayor Bill de Blasio donor Jeremy Reichberg, who stands accused of bribing NYPD cops, will be facing off against his brother, Moshe Reichberg, according to a new court filing.
Prosecutors plan to call Moshe to testify as early as this week about his Borough Park police-liaison sibling’s alleged efforts to keep evidence from the FBI, the court filing said.
In addition to being charged with bribing cops, Reichberg faces one count of obstruction of justice because feds say he asked Moshe to remove incriminating evidence about his bribery scheme from his house, including business cards of high-ranking officers, documents and electronic devices.
Moshe has been granted immunity to testify, the filing said.
On Monday, the defense also played wiretaps showing the government’s key witness, Jona Rechnitz, growing increasingly panicked as city and federal investigators began circling the wagons on his financial shenanigans, which led to their bribery probe.
