"All of Israel is Ours" Tzipi Hotovely

On Thursday Tzipi Hotovely, Israel’s new deputy foreign minister, spoke defiantly to the international community saying that Israel does not owe any apologies for its policies citing Tanach and her belief that it belongs to the Jewish people.

Hotovely’s speech was an example of the influence of the right wing in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s new government.

Hotovely, 36, is one of the young hawks in Netanyahu’s Likud party who support construction of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria and opposes giving up land to the Palestinians. Netanyahu’s slim one-seat majority means that these lawmakers could complicate any attempt to revive peace talks.

Netanyahu also serves as the acting foreign minister, but Hotovely is currently the country’s top full-time diplomat.

Hotovely’s first speech to Israeli diplomats included her saying Israel has tried too hard to appease the world and must stand up for itself.

“We need to return to the basic truth of our rights to this country,” she said. “This land is ours. All of it is ours. We did not come here to apologise for that.”

Hotovely, an Orthodox Jew, spoke in English later and implied that she would try to rally support for Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria.

“We expect as a matter of principle of the international community to recognise Israel’s right to build homes for Jews in their homeland, everywhere,” she said.

Hotovely will be managing the ministry’s day-to-day functions, but Netanyahu will remain in charge of foreign policy.

Netanyahu angered western allies in the recent election campaign when he said he would not let there be a Palestinian state on his watch. He has since reneged on that statement, telling the visiting EU foreign policy chief that he remains committed to a two-state solution on Wednesday.

Netanyahu’s spokesman, Mark Regev, declined comment on Hotovely’s speech, but said Netanyahu’s statements Wednesday reflected his policy.

Kerry  seemed to dismiss the importance of national borders, and said technology has reshaped the world into one that the U.S. must engage at the risk of being left behind. He said Trump and others who want to look inward are making a mistake, even in the face of rising tension and violence in the world.

"For some people, that is all they need simply to climb under the sheets, close their eyes and push the world away," Kerry said. "And shockingly, we even see this attitude from some who think they ought to be entrusted with the job of managing international affairs."

"The future demands from us something more than a nostalgia for some rose-tinted version of the past that did not really exist in any case," he said. "You're about to graduate into a complex and borderless world."

Yeshivas in Israel empty ...Boys either in Eilat or busy protesting

The Holy Roshei Yeshivas are encouraging the talmidim that aren't vacationing in Eilat and bar hopping, to go out and protest against the draft!

So why are they protesting the draft, you ask?

Because the Roshei Yeshivah  are afraid that the bochrim will see things in the IDF that a frum boy shouldn't see .....

Ayeeeeee, the boys that are in Eilat, bain hazmanim,  see more over there in an hour, then they would see in the army in a year, means nothing ...

Ayeeeee, the cab driver reported that the boy arrested, said that the Bochur and 4 of his buddies wern't wearing their kippahs or their Tzizis, and were dressed in jeans, means absolute nothing.

I might add that there wasn't just the guy that was arrested in Eilat visiting the pubs, but hundreds of boys prowling the streets of Eilat in the very late hours....

That's how they were able to organize a protest with hundreds of bochrim in Eilat within minutes!

This also means that most of the bochrim had smartphones.

So why are the Roshei Yeshiva backing this boy and encouraging protests against the draft?

Because the Roshei Yeshivah know the truth .... and know the problem, .... and are now afraid that the Oilim Goilim, will finally smarten up and tell the Roshei Yeshiva ...to throw those bochrim whose Torah is not Umnoso, the hell out! 

and where would that leave them (the Roshei Yeshivah)?

So they, the Roshei yeshiva  hold "lo plug" and are acting as if this 'playboy' is a tzaddik ... and the protests must go on ....yehereg va'al yaavor"

The truth is that the heimishe oilim is fed up with this "torah haskafah" because it's not working for most bochrim, but the Roshei Yeshivah will not give in, because if they did, the Yeshivas would look like the picture above, with seats half empty!

And if you snuck some rice, Chas Ve'sholom into your house, you were considered in Williamsburg as part of the Eirav rav,  but if you are an Ashkenazi and slurped Golden Flow with the Hisachdas Hashgacha then you are Tzaddik, even though you consumed kitniyois!

Last month, Sanders supporters were passing around a photo of Bernie Sanders asleep in coach. Such depictions of their candidate struggling with the same inconveniences as ordinary passengers had boosted his image as a fighter for the average guy. But there was one problem. The photo wasn’t of him. It was instead some ordinary man trying to catch a few winks in the middle of a crowded plane. 

Bernie Sanders wasn’t in coach. He wasn’t even in business class or stretching out both legs in first class. With tens of millions of dollars in donations coming in every month, he wasn’t flying commercial.

Yeshiva Bochrim in Eilat for Bain Hazmanim ... they don't care about the IDF draft

The Roshei Yeshivas are trying to tell us that Bochrim want to learn Torah and shouldn't be drafted, but the facts on the ground tell a different story ....

What happened was ... the police officer was called to the bar for some reason, and when he asked the holy torah learning bochur for his ID ...it matched with the name of a draft dodger!

Update 

According to the official police version pertaining to the arrest of the talmid yeshiva in Eilat, the young man was a “partygoer dressed as a partygoer and heading to a pub when taken into custody”.

The young man police report was not dressed as a ben torah but wearing jeans and was not wearing a yarmulke. In fact, the reason police became involved in that a taxi driver phoned after a group of young men refused to pay the entire fare.

When police arrived they tracked the youths to the Crazy Elephant Club, a pub in Eilat. They refused to pay the driver an additional NIS 5. Police asked the driver to come to the station to file a complaint. When they ran the ID numbers of the youths, they learned the suspect is wanted by military policy for failing to report to the draft registry. Police add the young man said “I am chareidi”, adding nothing about his appearance added credibility to the statement.

Officials from the Yerushalmi faction are quoted saying that after hearing the story and speaking with the family, the decision has been made to halt actions on his defense.

To be clear, this was not the case, as protests were seen across the country – with protesters blocking traffic at major intersections and major highways.

Chareidim in London are freaking out because of a leaflet that offers them Jobs and Education

Below is a copy of the leaflet by an organization called "Tafkid" that offers Chareidim an opportunity to get an education or a job, Chas Ve'sholim!

The above "warning" is hinting that "Tafkid" wants to entice Jewish children to go  "off the derech" ...

I have a suggestion to the Chareidie leaders, if you don't want organizations like Tafkid enticing your children .... make your own organization that helps children with free tutors and lessons in English and Math ...

UN Claims Har Hazeisim Graves Are “Fake”

It seems that it doesn't bother the "uber Asken" Avrohom Lubinsky that UNESCO passed a resolution that the Har Habayis doesn't belong to the Jewish People..... what got him upset is that they included Har Hazeism ...

“The recent UNESCO resolution claiming that Israel planted “fake Jewish graves” on Har Hazeisim is “a cynical attempt to deny the Jewish people its rich history and its future,” said Avrohom Lubinsky, Chairman of the International Committee for the Preservation of Har Hazeisim (ICPHH). The reference to the historic cemetery of the Jewish people was part of the UNESCO resolution passed at the end of April which denied Jewish claims to the Kosel Hamaravi and the Har Habayis and instead designated them as Muslim holy sites. The motion passed with 33 votes in favor, six against, and 17 abstained. France, Spain, Sweden, Russia and Slovenia were among the non-Arab nations who supported the resolution. Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States objected.

Mr. Lubinsky added: “The UNESCO resolution is an incredible insult to the memories of the 150,000 Jews who are buried there, dating back 3000 years and including the Nevi’im Malachi, Chagai and Zecharia as well as Chulda Hanevi’ia. It is a disgusting act to do to the families of loved ones who are buried there from around the world, including an estimated 20,000 Americans, some 14,000 Frenchmen and 12,000 British citizens. We never heard a word of condemnation about the 45,000 graves that the Jordanians destroyed and used to build a hotel and roads before Israel recaptured Jerusalem in 1967. Nor has there been a word against those Arabs who desecrate graves and heave rocks at worshippers, which thankfully security forces have sharply reduced in recent months.” Mr. Lubinsky said that despite a restoration program by the government several years ago, 23,000 graves remain unrestored.

 Yom HaZikaron laShoah ve-laG'vurah (יום הזיכרון לשואה ולגבורה; "Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day"), known colloquially in Israel and abroad as Yom HaShoah (יום השואה) and in English as Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Holocaust Day, is observed as Israel's day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews and five million others who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by Nazi Germany and its accessories, and for the Jewish resistance in that period. 

In Israel, it is a national memorial day and public holiday. It was inaugurated on 1953, anchored by a law signed by the Prime Minister of Israel David Ben-Gurion and the President of Israel Yitzhak Ben-Zvi. 

It is held on the 27th of Nisan (April/May), unless the 27th would be adjacent to Shabbat, in which case the date is shifted by a day. Yom HaShoah begins at sundown on Wed, 04 May 2016.

Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel

Thousands hike at midnight to visit Joshua’s grave protected by IDF

Israelis cannot typically visit the graves, except for on special occasions in the middle of the night when 

the IDF shuts down a section of the village to allow for their safe passage.

Under a clear starry sky they hiked some 20 minutes into the village square, that was packed with worshipers, many of whom were Hassidic men in black hats and coats. Soldiers with green flashlights helped direct them through the twisted turns.

Some of the visitor played guitar, banged on drums, sang and danced. Many others stood and prayed along the walls of the grave. The building itself is so small that it can only a small number of worshippers.

A few worshipers climbed onto the tomb’s rooftop to pray.

Yaacov was one of the privileged few who able to ride into the village, because he entered with his childhood friend, MK Oren Hazan (Likud).

“It is amazing to see the crowds of Israelis who have come here late at night to visit Joshua’s grave, who was secondly only in greatness to Moses. He was our first general and he lead the way into the land of Israel,” Hazan said.

There is a direct link, Hazan said, between Joshua’s actions as the first military leader to capture the land on behalf of the Jewish people and the modern Jewish people who have returned to their biblical homeland in the heart of the Samaria region of the West Bank.

“We have to continue with this mission to redeem the land, so that we can finally be a free people in our land,” Hazan said.

As he left, he stopped to thank the soldiers guarding the way, shook their hands and gave them his personal cellphone number so they could call him should they need anything. 

Hazan also paused to take a selfie by a monument topped by Palestinian flag.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan also said that he viewed Joshua as Israel’s first general.

“We have come here precisely because Joshua Ben Nun and Calev Ben Yephune had the strength to stand against the ten other spies and to say, the land is good, let us rise up and inherit it,” Dagan.

“We draw strength from Joshua and from the thousands who came here,” said Dagan.
