Netanyahu decides to occupy Gaza

ources in the Prime Minister's office believe that Benjamin Netanyahu has made a fundamental decision to capture and the Gaza Strip as part of Operation Swords of Iron.

According to them, ministers who have spoken with Netanyahu recently heard from him about his intention to expand operations in Gaza, and even reported that he used the words "capturing the strip."

According to reports, if the decision is implemented, it would contradict the position of the IDF and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who oppose such a large-scale operation at this stage.

Tomorrow, the political leadership is expected to hold a special meeting regarding the continuation of the military operation, including the possibility of significantly expanding it.

Jerusalem to impose congestion fee after rail projects completed

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion declared on Tuesday that he plans on imposing a congestion charge on every vehicle entering the capital after construction on the rail system in the city is completed.

The Mayor announced at the Israel Conference on Transportation and Parking: "We will make it difficult for those who use a car to enter the city. The moment the intercity train (to the City Center and Khan Theater stations) is completed, the three light rail lines (Blue, Green, and Red) are operational, and the micromobility in the city improves, we will make it more difficult for car users to enter the city. We are building giant parking lots at all entrances to the city; whoever insists on entering the city with a car will have to pay."

Lion added that "the transportation situation in Jerusalem is not easy at the moment, but I go to Tel Aviv and see that there it's worse. I promise that within a few years, there will be a real revolution and Jerusalem will be the first to get out of the traffic jams.

"Soon we will feel relief, on September 1st, when the light rail is restored. I hope there won't be any screw ups. In addition, at the end of January, part of the Green Line will open. Jerusalem is the next big thing in Israel."

IDF bans Chinese vehicles from all bases over data leak fears

The IDF has issued a sweeping ban on the entry of Chinese-made vehicles to all its bases, citing concerns over potential data leaks from onboard cameras and sensors.

The new directive will require career officers and civilian employees who own Chinese vehicles to park them outside military bases. The concern is that sensitive information could be compromised through the cars’ built-in surveillance and sensor systems.

As first reported by Calcalist, the IDF last month restricted parking for Chinese vehicles at the Gideonim Communications Corps base near Tzrifin. That restriction has now been expanded to all electric vehicles across the military. Owners were instructed to park their vehicles in designated areas away from sensitive installations.

Israel is not alone in implementing such a measure—earlier this year, the United Kingdom also imposed a similar ban on Chinese vehicles entering military installations.

The IDF currently offers one Chinese model, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, through its leasing program. However, that vehicle has undergone modifications to remove its media and communication systems before being approved for use. All other Chinese electric vehicle models were disqualified from the most recent Ministry of Defense leasing tender for career personnel.

As of last year, China accounted for nearly 25% of all vehicle imports into Israel and dominates the local electric vehicle market. The new restrictions are expected to affect a significant number of career soldiers and civilian employees who will now have to leave their cars outside military compounds.

Chinese manufacturers are currently the only suppliers of mass-market electric cars priced under NIS 170,000 and hybrids under NIS 150,000. This may complicate future procurement tenders by the Ministry of Defense, as the lowest-cost options could be excluded. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit declined to comment.

Hillel Fuld Scaring the Daylights Out of People Living in Chutz Le' aaretz

The following was posted on X by Hillel Fuld:

I’m gonna make a prediction right now. Actually, I’m going to make another prediction.

On October 5th, 2023, I predicted that something big was about to happen and Israel would be at the center of it. How did I know? Am I a prophet? No. But I pay close attention to geopolitics and the state of the world. Things were reaching a boiling point and it was clear things were about to explode.

And now I want to make another prediction. It’s not a good one. Not at all. It’s a terrible one.

Antisemitism has reached a point of no return. Hundreds of thousands of Jew haters marching through the streets of western countries disguising themselves as human rights activists who care about Gaza is a daily occurrence. Mass propaganda across social and legacy media convincing millions of ignorant people that Jews are literally the new Nazis has become the new normal. They’re being told we’re assassinating babies with snipers, intentionally starving children, and dropping bombs on people trying to get aid.

Jews are being assaulted on the streets of NY, London, LA, Sydney, Montreal, and the list just goes on and on. I don’t care what anyone says, what we are seeing now is Germany 1935 level antisemitism and it’s getting worse by the day. Jews in Gaza are being tortured and forced to dig their own grave and the world is silent.

The rapists of 10/7 are literally being rewarded for murdering Jews. Western countries rewarding them with a stage.

So far, that’s not a prediction. That’s reality.

Archaeologists Find Remains Of Mishkan In Tel Shilo

Archaeologists excavating the site of Tel Shiloh in Samaria claim they have uncovered remains of an ancient structure that may have housed the Aron Habris, the Ark of the Covenant, a sacred, gold-covered chest described in the Torah as the resting place of the Luchos Habris brought by Moses from Mount Sinai.

According to tradition, the Aron was placed in the Tabernacle, the Mishkan. For many years, the Mishkan, and later a stone sanctuary that replaced it,stood in Shiloh, until the Beit Mikdash was built by King Shlomo in Jerusalem. The fate of the Aron remains unknown; it disappeared from biblical records even before the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.

According to the Daily Mail, a team of researchers claims to have found, at the archaeological site of Tel Shiloh, which, according to the Bible, served as Israel’s first spiritual center, a stone structure whose dimensions and orientation match the biblical description of the Tabernacle.

Previously it was thought that the Mishkan had been located further north at the Shiloh site. But Dr. Scott Stripling, director of the Tel Shiloh excavation, believes that has found not just the site of the Mishkan but also the stone remains of the edifice.

Dr. Stripling told the Christian Broadcasting Network:
“We uncovered a monumental structure from Iron Age I, whose dimensions match those of the Tabernacle as described in the Bible. The structure is oriented east to west and divided in a 2:1 ratio, exactly as described in the scriptures.”

Beyond the structure itself, the researchers claim to have found over 100,000 animal bones at the site—mostly from sheep, goats, and cattle—and surprisingly, mostly from the right side of the animals. This aligns with Vayikra Chapter 7, which states that the right thigh of the sacrifice was given to the priests: “And the right thigh you shall give as a contribution to the priest from your peace offerings” (Vayikra 7:32).

“This is not a coincidence,” said Stripling. “The evidence of sacrificial rituals here is overwhelming, and it perfectly matches the biblical description. It’s hard to ignore.”

Pottery shards found among the bones are dated to the same period, strengthening the hypothesis that the site was indeed used during the time of the Mishkan, before the construction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

The newly uncovered structure also features a massive internal wall dividing the space into two parts—reminiscent of the biblical description in Exodus Chapter 26, which describes how the Holy of Holies (where the Ark was placed) was separated from the outer chamber by a curtain (the Parochet).

Although the Ark itself has not yet been found, the discovery of this structure at Tel Shiloh—combined with the ritual evidence found on site—sheds new light on the religious life, faith, and practices of ancient Israelites. Most of all, it brings renewed attention to the search for the most sacred object in the Bible.

Shiloh, located in the hilly region of southern Samaria, is described in the Bible as the first religious center of Israel. According to the Book of Shmuel, this is where Eli served as High Priest during a critical moment in Israelite history. In Chapter 4, it is told that the Israelites, battling the Philistines, brought the Aron to the battlefield hoping for a miracle. However, the Aron was captured by the Philistines, and Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were killed.

When the messenger returned to Shiloh and told Eli—who was then 98 years old and nearly blind—that the Aron had been taken and his sons had died, Eli fell off his chair, broke his neck, and died.

According to Dr. Stripling, his team may also have identified the city gate where Eli died—a find that adds a dramatic and rare dimension to the site’s archaeological significance.

Excavations at Tel Shiloh are ongoing, and the scientific community is closely following each new discovery that might bring us closer to a deeper understanding of this holy site.

NEW FEMA RULE: NO AID FOR STATES THAT BOYCOTT ISRAEL

The Trump administration has rolled out a sweeping new policy denying federal disaster-preparedness funds to any U.S. state or city that boycotts Israeli companies.
Under new FEMA guidelines, recipients of emergency aid must certify they do not cut ties with Israeli firms—making support for Israel a condition for receiving life-saving assistance.

The rule, posted Friday, impacts over $1.9 billion in critical grants used for search-and-rescue equipment, emergency management staff, and infrastructure like backup power. It directly targets the growing Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which calls for economic pressure on Israel over its policies in the Palestinian territories. The campaign gained renewed traction following the 2023 Hamas attack and Israel’s military response in Gaza.

Late Night Comedian John Oliver Keeps Bashing Israel

HBO host John Oliver used his platform Sunday night to launch another one-sided assault on Israel, blaming the Jewish state for Gaza’s humanitarian crisis while completely omitting Hamas’s central role in creating and perpetuating the disaster.

In a lengthy Last Week Tonight segment, Oliver began by calling Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “sh—y magician” for questioning international starvation claims in Gaza.

“What’s happening in Gaza right now is a famine. All the information we have points to that, except for this f—ing guy [Netanyahu] and a few adult junior detectives squinting at each photo of a skeletal child to figure out if they’re the right kind of dying,” Oliver stated.

Oliver slammed U.S. military aid to Israel, saying the country received nearly $18 billion in the first year of the war. He also took a swipe at Trump for calling starving children “very hungry.” While mocking the understatement, he added that it was a rare moment of Trump expressing something resembling empathy.

Despite Oliver’s claims, extensive evidence shows Hamas systematically diverts humanitarian assistance for military purposes. Israeli intelligence reports show that Hamas has diverted up to 25 percent of aid supplies to its fighters or sold them to civilians. By controlling the flow of aid into Gaza, Hamas blocks or diverts supplies that are not under its direct oversight, often imposing heavy “taxes” or fees on aid shipments.

Israel has implemented extensive measures to facilitate aid delivery despite Hamas’s obstruction. Last week, the IDF announced humanitarian pauses (10 a.m.–8 p.m.) in Gaza City, Deir al‑Balah, and Al‑Mawasi, along with secured humanitarian corridors coordinated to expand aid access. The United States and Israel have also backed the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), designed to deliver aid directly to Palestinian civilians while keeping it out of Hamas’s hands.

Most tellingly, Oliver’s 20-minute segment contained no mention of the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre that triggered this war. Hamas terrorists killed 1,189 people, including 815 civilians, wounded 7,500 others, and took 251 hostages in what has been called the deadliest terrorist attack in Israeli history. Oliver’s segment also completely ignored Hamas’s repeated rejection of ceasefire proposals that could have ended the humanitarian crisis months ago.

But then again, that might have complicated his simplistic narrative.

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara Removed By Unanimous Government Vote

Israel’s cabinet voted Monday to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, accusing her of political bias and obstruction.

She and PM Netanyahu did not attend the vote.

The move sparked immediate legal challenges, with petitions filed to the Supreme Court claiming the dismissal is illegal and threatens judicial independence.

The Court may freeze the decision pending review. While the dismissal passed in the cabinet, the decision will not take effect immediately.

Israeli Delegation Halted by Polish Police from Carrying Flags During Auschwitz-Birkenau March - The Jewish Voice

An Israeli delegation of 180 military and defense personnel was prevented from carrying national flags during a solemn march at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp on Thursday, in an incident that has reignited sensitivities in Israel-Poland relations. The delegation, part of Israel’s official ‘Witnesses in Uniform’ program, was stopped at the entrance to the camp by a local police officer, who ordered that the Israeli flags be removed from view.

According to a report at The Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), despite repeated attempts by Israeli representatives to reason with the officer, the order was enforced. Delegation leaders ultimately instructed their flagbearers to lower the standards, leaving the group to proceed without the traditional display of the national emblem.

The Witnesses in Uniform program, which includes current and former members of the Israel Defense Forces, the broader defense establishment, and family members of fallen soldiers, has long conducted commemorative marches in Poland. These ceremonies, held at former Nazi concentration and extermination sites, typically feature uniformed participants carrying Israeli flags as symbols of resilience and remembrance.

One participant, speaking anonymously to Israeli media and cited by JNS, described the event as “humiliating.” The individual noted that never before had such a prohibition been enforced: “No military ceremony has ever been halted midway; not in the forests, not in Treblinka, not in Warsaw, not in Majdanek. In all of them, we marched with flag bearers at the front.”

The source added that the prohibition was especially painful given the visibility of the moment. “This humiliation was public, right in front of a crowd of onlookers who were filming us and impressed by the military ceremony. Every year, delegations are allowed in with flags. There are well-known photos, always, of officers in uniform carrying flags at Birkenau. In our view, the directive stemmed from a mix of antisemitism and an attempt to reshape the past,” the participant said.

Trump tells Chuck Schumer to ‘GO TO HELL’

President Trump blasted Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer and told him to “GO TO HELL” as a fight over confirming executive branch political nominees boiled over and dozens of potential appointees were left in limbo.

Trump had wanted the Senate to stay in session and clear up the backlog of presidential appointees, but a deal between Republicans and Democrats to push through the nominees fell apart.

Senators went home for their August recess without confirming a slate of Trump’s nominees — leaving the president fuming.

“Senator Cryin’ Chuck Schumer is demanding over One Billion Dollars in order to approve a small number of our highly qualified nominees, who should right now be helping to run our Country,” the president fumed on Truth Social.

“This demand is egregious and unprecedented, and would be embarrassing to the Republican Party if it were accepted. It is political extortion, by any other name. Tell Schumer, who is under tremendous political pressure from within his own party, the Radical Left Lunatics, to GO TO HELL!”

Many Republicans had been hoping to get just over 130 nominees from the backlog confirmed before the August recess.

Many of these types of civilian nominees breeze through the Senate via voice vote or unanimous confirmation. But Democrats took advantage of Senate rules to significantly delay confirmation of those picks.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) groused that no other president in recent history has faced so much obstruction.

Thune negotiated with Schumer (D-NY) on a deal to bundle up Trump’s picks to allow voting for them in bulk. In one iteration of the deal, the Senate would have voted on a batch of the picks before breaking for recess, and then another chunk when the upper chamber reconvenes.

But it appears that Democrats wanted guarantees from Trump that he would unfreeze some of the funding his administration had cut off for foreign aid and the National Institute of Health.

“Do not accept the offer, go home and explain to your constituents what bad people the Democrats are, and what a great job the Republicans are doing, and have done, for our Country. Have a great RECESS and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” Trump added.

Ben Gvir Leads Tisha B’Av Minyan on Har HaBayis, Calls To Conquer Entire Gaza

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir led a minyan for Mincha on Har HaBayis today, marking the first time a sitting Israeli minister has been seen publicly davening at the site.

Ben Gvir was filmed leading the minyan on Har Habayis plaza — a site where the Beis HaMikdash once stood, and which remains, according to halacha, the holiest place on Earth.

While acts of private Jewish prayer have become increasingly visible in recent years on the Har HaBayis, Ben Gvir’s action is unprecedented in its official capacity and public visibility. Police reportedly detained an Arab man who shouted at the group during the tefillah, according to Arutz Sheva.

Speaking from the site, Ben Gvir declared:

“The horrific Hamas videos are aimed at one thing – pressuring the State of Israel. And I say this specifically from Har HaBayis, the place where we proved that sovereignty and governance are possible. From here we must send a clear message — conquer the entire Gaza Strip, declare sovereignty over all of Gaza, eliminate every Hamas terrorist, and encourage voluntary emigration. Only in this way will we bring the hostages home and win this war.”

Despite the minister’s actions and rhetoric, the Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement shortly after: “Israel’s policy of maintaining the status quo on the Temple Mount has not changed and will remain unchanged.”

Saudi Arabia released a sharp rebuke, saying it “condemns in the strongest terms the repeated provocative practices by officials of the Israeli occupation authorities against Al-Aqsa Mosque,” warning that such actions “fuel the conflict in the region.”

Russia Continues Murdering Ukrainians Killing 28 — including 2-year-old child

A two-year-old child was found dead in the rubble after Thursday’s sweeping Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv, Ukraine’s prime minister said on Friday, taking the death toll to 28, with over 150 wounded.

The toddler was the third child to have died in the attack, in which Russia launched more than 300 drones and eight missiles in the early hours of Thursday morning. The other two underage victims were six and 17 years old, the head of Ukrainian presidential office Andriy Yermak said.

The rescue service said 16 of the injured were children, the largest number of children hurt in a single attack on Ukraine’s capital since Russia started its full-scale invasion almost 3-1/2 years ago.

City authorities declared Friday a day of mourning as rescue operations continued.

“This morning, the body of a 2-year-old child was pulled from the rubble, bringing the total dead to 28, of which 3 are children,” Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on X, adding that over 150 people had been wounded

“The world possesses every instrument required to ensure Russia is brought to justice. What is lacking is not power — but will,” Svyrydenko said.

U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday, sharply criticized Russia’s “disgusting” behavior against Ukraine but said he was not sure whether sanctions would deter Russia.

He has given Russian President Vladimir Putin until August 8 to make a deal or else he will respond with economic pressure.

It’s important to get answers on Hillary Clinton’s Russiagate plot

“Deflection,” “Distraction” and “Dishonest” are just some of the accusations leveled at President Trump recently for saying he’d like to look into past Democrat conspiracies against him.

The president’s critics have claimed he is simply trying to push attention away from the Jeffrey Epstein story.

Even some of the president’s defenders have sighed that surely he should focus on moving forward and not get distracted by these past problems.

But putting aside for a moment the fact that Trump has shown himself able to do more than one thing at a time, he is right to bring up the Russia collusion hoax and more.

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the entirety of the Democratic court media spent four years exciting themselves and boring the American public with their claims.

A case for treason

It is hardly a secret, neither is it new, nor even unexpected, that many Israelis are dissatisfied with the government’s handling of the current war. Anyone who listens to Israel Radio, or who watches Israeli TV channels, or who reads Israeli newspapers is acutely aware of the debates rife within Israel.

Sometimes it feels as though every Israeli and his wife are convinced that they could have brought all the hostages safely home and defeated the Hamas more than a year ago. Everyone has his and her perfect plan.

The overwhelming majority of Israelis have the integrity to keep the debate within Israel.

But on 29th July, a minuscule coterie of Israelis saw fit to smash all acceptable boundaries:

In a letter to the Israel-bashing Guardian, 31 self-proclaimed “Israelis dedicated to a peaceful future for our country and our Palestinian neighbours”, claimed that “Our country is starving the people of Gaza to death and contemplating the forced removal of millions of Palestinians from the Strip.”

Their solution to this alleged atrocity?

“The international community must impose crippling sanctions on Israel until it ends this brutal campaign and implements a permanent ceasefire”.

It is perfectly acceptable to oppose the government’s policies, even in time of war.

But what these 31 signatories have done has been to use one of the most viciously anti-Israel newspapers in the Western world as a platform to defame Israel. The Guardian doesn’t even pretend to be a neutral platform: its hostility to Israel is relentless.

Their outrageous demand is for the world to declare economic warfare on Israel to force it to surrender to the Hamas. This is to say: In time of war, as Israel fights for its very survival, they turn to the global community in the hope of enlisting international support for the Hamas and its war of attempted genocide against Israel.

There is a word for people who attempt to enlist foreign aid against their own country in time of war. Not a pleasant word, but in these circumstances the words “traitor” and “treason” become unavoidable.

They proclaim themselves to be “dedicated to a peaceful future for our country”. Leave aside the deliberate implication that the overwhelming majority of Israelis do not want a peaceful future for our country, their deliberate libelling Israel in this most virulently anti-Israel publication.

The hypocrisy of their self-righteous assertion that they, and they alone, yearn for peace stinks to the very heavens.

Their appeal to notorious anti-Semites recalls the lines from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, maybe the most famous work of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the most influential German-language writer ever:

“Die ich rief, die Geister, / Werd’ ich nun nicht los”: “The spirits that I summoned / I am unable to rid myself of them again”.

This phrase has become almost a cliché, typifying how people turn to perceived allies in the hope that such allies will help them - only to lose control over them, and to be defeated by those spirits whom they summoned.

These “peaceniks” turn to hostile foreign media, seeking allies among the most vicious Israel-haters and indeed Jew-haters in the world. By calling for Israel to capitulate to the Hamas, they inevitably make common cause with some of the vilest anti-Semites who pollute G-d’s earth, whether the Hamas and other Islamists, or neo-Nazis, or the European fanatical left, or any other motley rabble of genocidal psychopaths.

They glibly summon these evil spirits, hoping to defeat Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Right - horribly ignorant that their allies want to destroy them along with all other Jews.

They sanctimoniously announce that they “write this with grave shame, in rage and in agony”. Maybe.

But the sole reason that The Guardian gives its column inches to these misfits of Israeli society is that they direct their rage against their fellow-Jews.

Today they hope for “crippling sanctions” against Israel, no doubt feeling secure in their delusions of having allies in other countries. Yet if - G-d forbid - any of them will ever be forced to relocate because of these crippling sanctions, they will inexorably discover that treason carries no rewards: they will still be Jews, Israelis, and Zionists in the eyes of these spirits whom they have summoned as their allies.

What In-Flight Turbulence Is and When It Becomes Dangerous for Passengers and Crews

A Delta Air Lines flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam that was hit by serious turbulence Wednesday, sending 25 people on board to hospitals and forcing the flight to divert to Minnesota, highlighted the dangers of flying through unstable air

Several turbulence-impacted flights have been reported this year.

While turbulence-related fatalities are quite rare, the tally of injuries has grown over the years. Some meteorologists and aviation analysts note that reports of turbulence encounters also have been increasing and point to what climate change may be doing to flying conditions.

Planes hitting bumpy air is mostly minor, however, and airlines have tried to improve safety. Experts advise travelers to stay vigilant, stressing wearing a seat belt whenever possible.

What causes turbulence
Turbulence is essentially unstable air that moves in a non-predictable fashion. Most people associate it with heavy storms. But the most dangerous is clear-air turbulence, which often occurs with no visible warning.

Clear-air turbulence happens most often in or near the high-altitude rivers of air called jet streams. The culprit is wind shear, which is when two huge air masses close to each other move at different speeds. If the difference in speed is big enough, the atmosphere can’t handle the strain, and it breaks into turbulent patterns like eddies in water.

Recent flights shaken by turbulence
In June, five people were taken to a North Carolina hospital for evaluation after an American Airlines flight from Miami hit turbulence on its way to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The plane landed safely.

Earlier that month, severe storms in southern Germany forced a Ryanair flight to make an emergency landing after violent turbulence injured nine people, German police said. The flight was traveling from Berlin to Milan with 179 passengers and six crew members. Eight passengers and one crew member were hurt.

In March, a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Singapore experienced severe turbulence over the Philippines. The plane was carrying 174 passengers and 14 crew members. Five people were injured and the plane landed safely in Singapore.

Several flights were diverted to Waco, Texas, on March 3, because of turbulence. Five people were injured aboard a United Express plane flying from Springfield, Missouri, to Houston.

Last year, Italian authorities launched an investigation after two easyJet flight attendants were injured when their flight from Corfu to London’s Gatwick Airport was buffeted by turbulence. The pilot made an unscheduled landing in Rome.

In May 2024, a 73-year-old British man died and dozens of people were injured aboard a Singapore Airlines flight that hit severe turbulence. His death was under investigation. Authorities said he may have had a heart attack.

It’s unclear how common injuries are
Tracking the number of turbulence-related injuries worldwide is difficult. But some countries publish national data.

Most reports of in-flight turbulence from 2009 through 2018 resulted in one or more serious injuries and no damage to the plane, the National Transportation Safety Board reported.
