Dozens of intelligent alien races could be living alongside us in the Milky Way, a study has claimed. 

The question of whether there are other life forms within our Universe has long preoccupied scientists.

Now researchers at the University of Nottingham have taken a new approach to estimating the number of possible extraterrestrial civilisations, using the assumption that intelligent life develops on other planets in a similar way as it does on Earth.

They calculate that our galaxy could harbour at least 36 intelligent alien races capable of sending radio signals into space.

The New York Police Department will disband its plain-clothes anti-crime unit that was involved in some of the city's most notorious shootings and reassign its 600 officers to tasks that include detective work and neighborhood policing.

NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea announced the move on Monday after his department has drawn scrutiny over the tactics used against protesters after the May 25 death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

'When you look at the number of anti-crime officers that operate within New York City, and you look at a disproportionate, quite frankly, percentage of complaints and shootings - and they are doing exactly what was asked of them,' Shea said. 

The head of one of the largest police unions in the city slammed the move, saying it will make New York less safe.

'Anti-Crime’s mission was to protect New Yorkers by proactively preventing crime, especially gun violence,' Pat Lynch of the Police Benevolent Association said in a statement. 

'Shooting and murders are both climbing steadily upward, but our city leaders have clearly decided that proactive policing isn’t a priority anymore. They chose this strategy. 

'They will have to reckon with the consequences.'

Mayor Bill de Blasio hailed the move, tweeting: 'Your city hears you. Actions, not words.' 

In recent weeks, officers with the anti-crime unit have been accused of excessive force.

In early May, a plain-clothes officer was placed on leave after video surfaced on social media showing him charging at bystanders on a Manhattan street with a Taser in his hand.

The officer was trying to enforce social distancing measures.

In March, officers were filmed violently arresting a man in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. Video of the arrest went viral, prompting criticism of the officers. 

Shea said that the department decided on the reforms in the aftermath of weeks of unrest throughout the city. 

‘Thankfully, here in New York City, angry demonstrations have turned peaceful,’ Shea said on Monday.

‘Thoughtful discussions about reform have emerged.’

Shea added: 'This is a seismic shift in the culture of how the NYPD polices this great city.

'I would consider this in the realm of closing one of the last chapters of "Stop, Question and Frisk"...I think it's time to more forward and change how we police in this city.

US May Withhold aid to Jordan to Force the Extradition of Palestinian Terrorist Who Murdered Malkie Roth and 14 Others

The United States is considering withholding aid from one of its closest Arab partners, Jordan, in a bid to secure the extradition of a woman convicted in Israel of a 2001 terror bombing that killed 15 people, including two American citizens.

The family of one of those US citizens, 15-year-old Malki Roth, has been leading a campaign to extradite the terrorist to the US, after Israel imprisoned and then freed her.

The Trump administration says it’s weighing “all options” to press Jordan to extradite Ahlam Aref Ahmad Al-Tamimi, who is wanted by the US on a charge of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction against American nationals. The charge was filed under seal in 2013 and announced by the Justice Department four years later.

The extradition issue is likely to be raised this week when Jordan’s King Abdullah II speaks to several congressional committees to voice his opposition to Israel’s plans to annex portions of the West Bank.

Tamimi is on the FBI’s list of “most wanted terrorists” for her role in escorting the suicide bomber from Ramallah to the crowded Jerusalem pizzeria where he struck. It was one of the deadliest terror attacks during the second Palestinian Intifada, or uprising. She has expressed no remorse and has been seen gloating that she managed to kill Israeli children.

She has lived freely in Jordan since Israel released her in a 2011 prisoner swap with terror group Hamas, when she and more than a thousand other terror convicts were released in exchange for captured IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Jordanian authorities have rebuffed US requests to turn her over, despite an extradition treaty. Jordan has a large Palestinian population and it’s unclear if a threat over aid would cause it to rethink its position.

Mrs Birnhak Whose Husband & Father Were Killed in Monsey Has Baby Boy

Just hours after her husband and father succumbed to injuries sustained in a fatal collision, a New Square woman has given birth to a baby boy.

A van transporting the members of two New Square families to the city for a wedding veered off the eastbound lanes of New Hempstead Road and slammed into a tree. 47 year old Aharon Shmuel Deutsch and his 22 year old son in law Shlomo Birnhack were later pronounced dead at Nyack Hospital.

The Ramapo Police Department reported that the incident took place at approximately 4:21 PM on New Hempstead Road just one mile away from the main entrance to New Square, with the 2009 Ford Econoline van so severey damaged that all ten passengers and the hired driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. The Ramapo Police Department, New York State Police, New York State Park Police, Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkstown Police Department, Hillcreset Fire Company No. 1, New City Fire Engine Company No. 1, Hatzolah of Rockland County, Chaverim of Rockland, Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps and Village of New Square EMS all responded to the scene.

Sources confirmed that both of the deceased men’s wives were seriously injured and intubated. Several children in the van were also seriously injured, with one sustaining an open skull fracture and two others suffering fractured femurs.

Tragedy struck the New Square Kehilla on Monday, after the passing of two family members traveling in the same vehicle.

Sources say that two families were in a van heading to a family wedding in NYC, when they were involved in a serious crash just outside of New Square.

It happened just before 4:30PM on Route 45 & New Hempstead Road near Freidwald Center.

Hatzolah Paramedics arriving on the scene found numerous occupants heavily entrapped in the vehicle, and immediately requested the fire department for extrication.

At least 10 victims were transported to various hospitals – including Westchester and Nyack – some of them in critical condition.

Two victims, R’ Aryeh Shmuel Deutsch Z”L, and his son in law, R’ Shlomo Birnhak Z”L were both Niftar at the hospital after suffering massive injuries. Sources say that it took nearly 45 minutes to extricate both of them from the vehicle.

The wife of one of the deceased remains unresponsive and in critical condition. Multiple victims suffered femur fractures, and numerous victims were rushed into emergency surgeries.

How Russia saved Israel from a Palestinian state based on the '48 borders Which Obama Was Pushing

New details about some drama involving Israel, Russia, and the US that played out behind the scenes at the United Nations Security Council some four years ago are coming to light.

It appears that Russia demonstrated a rare willingness to use its UNSC veto on Israel's behalf to block a resolution led by then-US President Barack Obama, which would have compelled Israel to set up a Palestinian state based on the 1948 borders.

Approximately six months ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at an election rally in Maaleh Adumim that he had asked a "friend," whom he referred to as "the leader of one of the superpowers who holds veto power in the UN Security Council," to vote against the resolution. Netanyahu credited that leader, whom he did not name, with stopping the resolution.

In a recent closed-door meeting, Netanyahu revealed more details about the unusual event.

Toward the end of Obama's second term in office, the US spearheaded UNSC Resolution 2334, which states that Israel is in violation of international law by its presence in the territories captured in the 1967 Six-Day War. Israel realized at the time that the US administration was coordinating the resolution with the Palestinians and Europeans, but had no way of blocking it without support from the US.

On Nov. 24, 2016, Netanyahu called Russian President Vladimir Putin and explained that the resolution Obama was working to pass would disrupt regional stability and harm Israel. Netanyahu asked Putin to state that he intended to use his UNSC veto to scupper the resolution. But Putin refused. On Dec. 23, 2016, the UNSC passed Resolution 2334, although then-US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power ultimately abstained.

However, Obama had additional plans, even though he had less than a month left in the White House. He and his staff began working on another UNSC resolution, which would have forced Israel to agree to a Palestinian state based on the 1948 borders. Israel's UN ambassador at the time, Danny Danon, sounded the alarm.

Netanyahu again sought help from Putin. In another phone conversation, he explained to Putin that Obama's new resolution would do serious harm to Israel and could destabilize the region.

Putin was convinced and told Netanyahu that if the resolution came to a vote, Russia would veto it.

According to what Netanyahu said in the closed meeting, Obama was informed of Russia's intention to veto the American move. Obama realized that if Russia vetoed a US resolution in order to protect Israel, it would be a fatal blow to the US's image as an ally of Israel and its standing in the Jewish community. Therefore, Obama decided to shelve the resolution, Netanyahu said.

Williamsburg Park Doors WELDED SHUT To Keep Children Out; But Thousands Protest Just Blocks Away on Eastern Parkway

The NYC Parks Department was in Williamsburg on Monday morning, and were seen welding the doors of shut at the Middleton Playground (Lynch Park) – to make sure that children shouldn’t be able to play in the park.

Meanwhile many parks around the city were open and thousands of protesters were permitted to gather in Brooklyn on Sunday to support “black trans lives" in front of the Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway

New York's 250 Inmates Freed from Prison Rearrested 450 Times

                                                   

At least 250 convicted and accused criminals freed from New York’s Rikers Island prison have been rearrested 450 times thanks to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) jailbreak directive.

New York Police Department (NYPD) data reported by NBC New York’s Melissa Russo reveals that since Cuomo issued a statewide order demanding jails and prisons release inmates to abide by social distancing measures in late March, at least 250 inmates from Rikers Island have been rearrested.

Russo reports:

Of approximately 2,500 defendants sprung from Rikers early because of COVID safety planning, at least 250 have been arrested again since, according to Michael LiPetri, chief of Crime Control Strategies for the NYPD. [Emphasis added]

Chief LiPetri tells NBC New York the NYPD did not object to releasing older defendants, nor those with underlying medical conditions. But he says the consequences of the larger-scale release of prisoners are now showing up in the arrest data, with those 250 re-offenders being arrested 450 times so far during the pandemic. [Emphasis added]

While the mass release of convicted and accused criminals in New York continues and violent crime surges, Mayor Bill de Blasio is vowing to cut NYPD funding. The reduction in funding for the police would come as murders have jumped 160 percent over the last week and burglaries are up 402 percent.

I started to recount the history of the many temples that have stood there on Facebook LIVE, when I was informed (still on camera) that it is illegal to say that a temple stood on the Temple Mount.

I was told by the Waqf security forces that it is illegal to say a temple stood on The Temple Mount. Any temple, that is. There was nothing there before there was a mosque. Robberies and Rapes SKYROCKET In Antifa “Autonomous Zone,” Police Can’t Respond

Have you heard about the so-called “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” of Seattle claimed by far-left Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists?

Is the future of US Jewry threatened?

The American Jewish community is under attack. 

During the high point of the riots in the USA, it was reported on Fox News that an African American man in camouflage threatened to harm the predominantly Jewish Diamond District in New York, which led to the police arresting him. 

This came after a Jewish camera store in Chicago and two Jewish restaurants in the DC area were targeted by the rioters. The windows of Chai Bar were smashed, while the Shouk restaurant was looted and even set on fire.

Similarly, the windows of a 200-year-old synagogue were smashed in Richmond and a beautiful piano store in Philadelphia faced the wrath of the rioters, who looted and defaced the musical instruments.

Further to the West, during the recent race riots in America, five synagogues and three Jewish schools were targeted in Los Angeles by rioters who yelled “effing Jews.” One of the synagogues was even defaced with graffiti that read “f_ck Israel” and “Free Palestine.”

Leading rabbi says "No reason to Boycott Reform & Conservative Leaders"

One of the leading rabbinic authorities in the religious Zionist movement, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed of Har Bracha,went on live TV to explain why he chose to participate in an open panel discussion with a female Reform "rabbi" at the Makor Rishon conference.

Rabbi Melamed said that although he was generally opposed to attending meetings or panels of any kind, when he heard that the discussion would be held with a Reform "rabbi", he immediately accepted the invitation.

"I do not usually attend conferences," said Rabbi Melamed, "but in the year leading up to this conference, a number of incidents took place in which the religious sector voiced the opinion that the Reform and Conservative movements should be boycotted altogether."

Watch: Undercover Police Arrest Two Terrorists in Abu Dis Near Jerusalem

A team of undercover Israeli police officers apprehended two Arab terrorists from Abu Dis east of Jerusalem in a pre-dawn operation Sunday morning.

The two terrorists were arrested on suspicion of having thrown firebombs at a Border Police jeep last month, in an attack that left the vehicle totally destroyed.

The attack occurred on May 8th, when the two suspects, both in their 30s, hurled firebombs at an armored Border Police jeep.

An investigation by the Shin Bet internal security agency led to the identification and location of the two terrorists, who were subsequently arrested by undercover police officers.

President Trump gave an inspirational speech at West Point on Saturday, pitched at the Class of 2020, which will carry the burden of seeing the country through this turning point in its history.

Not that you would know much about the speech because the usual suspects — including formerly respected military leaders — decided yet again to rain on the president’s parade, drowning out a unifying message with their latest creative iteration of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

For them, no crisis is so serious that it can’t be grafted onto their psycho-narrative that Bad Orange Man is to blame for everything that has ever gone wrong in America.

Democrats are despicable in their mendacity, race-baiting and incitement of violence, but they have the excuse of trying to win an election.

It’s Never Trumpers who deserve the most scorn, especially the inadequates from the Lincoln Project. With anarchy on the streets and China on the warpath, they empower America’s enemies. We must never forget their treachery. They claim to be conservatives, yet they do everything they can to ensure America falls into socialist hands in November.

They style themselves as defenders of the traditional GOP, yet they endorse Joe Biden, with his problematic moral history, and promise to disarm Americans.

The Lincoln Project is the brainchild of embittered former GOP grifters who failed to anticipate the Trump phenomenon and were not talented enough to overcome their miscalculation.

Trump derangement is the only occupation open to their washed-up careers, so they are doomed forever to tilt at windmills.
