In the above video R' Eli Stefansky reads an email from a Satmar chusid who says that the Satmar SHIT'ah is against Jews learning the Daf!
Rav Meir Shapiro stands before the Congress. His proposal: one page of Gemara a day, studied by Jews everywhere.
Until then, only a few tractates were learned regularly — Berachot, Shabbat, Eruvin. Others, like Zevachim and Temurah, were ignored. Rav Shapiro’s vision was bold: every Jew, every tractate, every day.
On Elul 10, 5683, the resolution passed. A new era began. Daf Yomi wasn’t just about study. It was about unity. As Rav Shapiro told the delegates: one people, one page, one heartbeat.
R’ Meir’s idea was greeted by the six hundred delegates present at the Knessiya with a standing ovation, later described by the Bluzhever Rebbe in the Artscroll book Five Great Leaders as similar to Ma’amad Har Sinai and by the Chofetz Chaim as something that “would hasten the coming of Mashiach.”
The first Daf Yomi cycle began on Rosh Hashana of 5684, which coincided with September 11, 1923. The Gerrer Rebbe was just one of the tens of thousands in Europe, Israel and America who took upon himself to learn Daf Yomi and his many followers hastened to follow his lead.
All this is true except if you dare walk into a Reform Temple or a Satmar Bais Medrish!
R' Yoel Teitelbaum, the founder of Satmar Chassidius opposed learning the Daf Yoimie because this idea originated from Harav Meir Shapiro a member of the Agudah! Even though this was a way to "unify the Jewish people" the Satmar Rebbe would have nothing to do with that!
Why?
Because the proposal was made by the Aguda!!
A frum Jew a leader of tens of thousands was against this idea, was against unity!
I cannot understand this at all.

There were many gedolim who didn’t agree with Daf Yomi, no shaychus to Satmar’s cheshbon. They included the gadol hador R’ Chaim Oizer, Brisk, the Mir, etc
When you think you're the King of the Jews(tm) and the smartest guy ever, another guy coming up with a great idea pisses you off.

The Gedoilim that you quoted didn't agree with the Daf Yoimi because it didn't fit their learning style, which was bekias and had nothing to do with ideological reasons like Satmar!
Satmar, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with unity!
My first Daf Yoimi experience was actually with a Satmerer! And he made sure to always be a few blatt behind. When I pointed out the absurdity of this, he just laughed!
The Daf Yoimi has now been accepted by ALL of Klall Yisrael except for Satmar and the Reform Jews! Even Women now have Daf Yoimi groups, in fact there is a woman that gives a daf Yoimi online and let me tell you, she gives men a run for the money!
There isn't a frum shul that doesn't have someone give a Daf Yoimi Shiur, again except in Satmar !
Your Habad Lubavitch set buddies have also been against Daf Yomi. I challenge you to show me even one time a Chabad Rebbe spoke in favor of Daf Yomi. Somehow you conveniently totally omit that in your zeal to attack Satmar.

When I lived in Flatbush in the 90's the one who gave the Daf Yomi in Landau's Shul on Avenue L was a Lubavitcher!
In Beit Shemesh there are two Chabad shuls and both have Daf Yomi's given by Chabadskers!
Chabad was not “against” Daf Yomi, but historically, the Lubavitcher Rebbes did not adopt it as a communal practice. They emphasized a different style of Torah study, focusing on depth and personal accountability rather than a fixed daily page. Chabad individuals do learn Daf Yomi, but it was never promoted as an official Chabad program whereas in Satmar it was because of their screwed up apikorsheta ideology

Chabad Rebbis also were never ispoke n favor of Strawberry Ice Cream yet I know many Chabadskers that eat only Strawberry Ice-Cream...so there!
