A Legal Analysis of the Charges Against Netanyahu

The spectacle of a sitting head of government on trial ought to be a moment of sober national reflection, not a carnival of political vengeance dressed in prosecutorial robes. Yet that is precisely what Israel has endured over the last several years as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has faced domestic criminal charges that should never have been brought, rest on legal error, and are widely seen – including by millions of Israelis – as deeply political in motivation.

The genesis of this disgraceful legal drama lies in November 2019, when then-Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit announced his intention to indict Netanyahu on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in three so‑called corruption cases numbered 1000, 2000, and 4000. Netanyahu has emphatically denied all wrongdoing, characterizing the investigations and indictment process as a “witch hunt” orchestrated by political opponents within the media, police, and the wider legal establishment.

Reckless Bnei- Brak Guy Arrested for Picking Up a Cluster Bomb

The Tel Aviv District 100 hotlines received a report about a suspect who had collected a cluster bomb from his car in the city of Bnei Brak during the missile strike and left the scene in his car.

The call centers of the Tel Aviv District Control Center were able to trace the suspect's vehicle number and informed the Tira police station in the Central District, who immediately began searching and investigative activities, including the use of technological means, which led to the location and detention of the suspect.

Israel Police arrived at the scene, dealt with the cluster bomb that was found, and conducted thorough searches of the area, making sure that there was no further danger to the public.

The Israel Police once again appealed to the public to be attentive and obey instructions, to refrain from going to missile strike sites and destruction sites, not to touch shrapnel or interception parts, and to allow the security and rescue forces to carry out their life-saving operations.

Do Not Share this Image ....

Right-wing activist Baruch Marzel sparked a viral stir on the social network after posting a sarcastic message that drew more than 100,000 views.

Marzel shared an AI-generated image depicting the Dome of the Rock with Israeli Air Force fighter jets parked beneath it, appearing as though a subterranean military base existed under the site.

He added a tongue-in-cheek caption:

“Note: Don’t share the photo of the secret Israeli Air Force base in Jerusalem, so it won’t be attacked."

The post quickly spread online and prompted a sharp response from the Palestinian Authority’s Jerusalem district, which issued a formal condemnation.

In its statement, the body claimed the image constituted “dangerous incitement" intended to prepare the ground for an Israeli attack on the Al-Aqsa compound.

Palestinian officials argued that the post should not be viewed as a joke but rather as part of a broader ideological campaign, citing statements by other rabbis who have spoken about bombing the mosque or depicting its future destruction as the result of Iranian missile strikes.

Beyond the criticism of Marzel, the Al-Quds district also attacked Israeli policy ahead of the Ramadan, rejecting Israeli claims that potential limits on Muslim worshippers entering the Temple Mount would be based solely on temporary security considerations.

According to the statement, such measures are part of what it described as a deliberate political and ideological move aimed at altering the existing religious, historical, and legal status of the site.

The Holy Mothers of New Square and Their Mesiras Nefesh for the Cause

In every era, Klal Yisrael produces women of extraordinary mesiras nefesh. In our own generation, that devotion has taken on a modern form:

signing mortgage documents and renting out homes to multiple families in an area when this is illegal and unjust.

For the sake of their Torah brethren and sisters living within the mile, certain mothers – women with families of their own – have stepped forward to place down payments, sign notes, and take title to homes in neighborhoods nearby – allegedly so that their fellow
Yiddishe sisters are made to feel uncomfortable.

This is no small act. Mortgages are not flyers. They are sworn documents.

By way of example:

Mrs. Leah Breier
Public mortgage records reflect a 2024 purchase of a property on
Dorothy Road, Spring Valley, with the borrower’s mailing address listed
as 53 Reagan Road, New Square.

Mrs. Chave Wolodarsky
Public mortgage filings reflect a 2023 purchase of a property on
Durante Court, with the borrower’s mailing address listed as 29
Ostilla Ave., New Square.
As has been previously noted, this home is located across from one of
the many Shuls located “within the mile.”

Mrs. Miriam Soifer
Public mortgage documents reflect a 2022 purchase of a property on
Dwight Avenue, a home “within the mile” with the borrower’s mailing
address listed as 24 Jackson Ave., New Square

Again: these are not allegations. These are descriptions of public filings. And don’t think for a second these women are in an exclusive club of women who “showed up” for the cause. There are many more to report.

Mortgage agreements in the United States are not ceremonial. They require the signer to certify – explicitly – that the property will be used in compliance with all zoning, housing, and municipal codes. The obligation rests with the person whose name appears on the document. Not with a neighbor. Not with an advisor. Not with someone “higher
up.”

And yet, the lived reality for surrounding families raises difficult questions.

One has to wonder:
What would their children say if it were happening next door to them?
Do they even have a say?
Or are these women being asked – quietly, dutifully – to serve as
names on paper so others remain invisible?

Because it is notable that we do not often see homes titled in the names of those most vocal in pushing these arrangements. Responsibility, it seems, is frequently outsourced.

For the sake of what?

This is not about shaming mothers. Accountability must apply evenly –just like anyone else.

In Torah life, we do not justify harm to other Yidden because “someone
told us to.”

Because when you sign your name on a mortgage, you are not a pawn.
You are the owner.
You are the responsible party.

And there is one rule that transcends satire, zoning, and documents alike:

You don’t hurt Yidden. End of story.

I'm looking at these photos of hundreds of Charedim coming out to stare at a damaged building, and I'm thinking this has to be proof positive that these guys are bored to tears, are not interested at all in learning and need to be drafted!
This is insane!!

Cleared for Publication : Tzvi Dovid Lipshitz Arrested Before His Sheva Berachos Abused a 6 Year Old in Modiin Elite

Groom arrested on suspicion of serious sexual offenses against a minor - just before the last Sheva Berachos

Detectives from the Modiin Illit station arrested Zvi Dov Lifshitz (23),   a resident of Jerusalem, just a few days after his wedding on suspicion of committing serious sexual offenses against a minor in Modiin Illit.

The arrest took place shortly before he participated in a "Sheva Berachos" in his honor.

According to the investigation, the suspect met the victim as she was making her way to her friend's house, seduced her with sweets and led her to the attic of a building in the city, where he carried out his plot. During the interrogation, the suspect confessed to the acts and recounted the incident at the scene.

The court ordered the extension of Lipshitz's detention by six days until March 18. The police ask the public, if there are any additional victims, to contact the police stations or the 100 hotline

He tattooed her number into her skin at Auschwitz. She became his reason to survive

He tattooed her number into her skin at Auschwitz. She became his reason to survive. After the war, he searched for her every day until he found her.

When Lale Sokolov arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1942, the SS guards stripped away everything he'd brought with him. His belongings. His dignity. His name.
They shaved his head. Gave him prison clothes. And tattooed a number onto his left forearm: 32407.
In Auschwitz, names were dangerous. Names meant you were still human. The Nazis wanted numbers—rows of identical, disposable bodies.

Lale Sokolov became prisoner 32407.
