Top New York Times "Ugly" reporter caught on hot mic urging reporters NOT to interview prominent Iranian dissident
A top "Ugly" New York Times reporter and Iranian-American journalist, who focuses on writing about Iran, was caught on a hot mic urging her colleagues not to interview the “crazy” Alinejad Masih, one of the most prominent Iranian dissidents.
As soon as she says it a fellow listener warns that her mic is hot.
It is said Iran has tried to assassinate Masih multiple times, if that gives you any idea of her importance.
Here’s the audio:
Farnaz Fassihi from the New York Times was overheard in a Clubhouse room instructing Leili “Make sure Emma doesn’t interview the crazy Masih @AlinejadMasih.”
This isn’t the first instance of her urging reporters & journalists to boycott Alinejad. It’s time for Fassihi to openly be addressed on her stance. Let’s call for transparency and accountability in journalism.
Erick Erickson underscores why this is so important:

Egypt blew up possible Israel-Hamas cease-fire deal after secretly changing framework to the benefit of Hamas
An Egyptian official blew up a possible cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas this month when he covertly changed the proposal’s framework already greenlit by the Jewish state to include more demands from the terror group, according to a report.
Three sources told CNN Tuesday the deal fell apart after senior Egyptian intelligence official Ahmed Abdel Khalek made last-minute changes in an offer to Hamas without informing the Israelis all while keeping the fellow mediators, the US and Qatar, in the dark.
“We were all duped,” one of the sources reportedly said.
Abdel Khalek conveyed one set of terms to Israel and another to Hamas, in which the Palestinian leaders received more of their demands, CNN reported.
“All sides were under the assumption the Egyptians provided the same document,” that Israel approved, one of the sources told the outlet.
The details signed off on by Hamas included the goal of reaching a permanent cease-fire and a “sustainable calm” during the second phase of the three-part agreement, according to a Hamas document obtained by CNN.
Hamas announced it had agreed to a cease-fire to much celebration in Gaza on May 6, but Israeli officials were quick to note they had not approved the proposed framework because it was a “softened” version of what was originally on the table.
One Israeli official at the time told Reuters it was a ruse by the terror group in hopes of creating backlash against Israel for not going along with the deal.
If a deal was reached, it could have led to a temporary stop in the fighting in Gaza as Israel was ready to enter Rafah and the release of some Israeli hostages and even more Palestinian prisoners.
Colossal Failure!! 569 tons of aid that passed through US-built pier fails to reach Palestinians ‘intercepted’ by looters: Pentagon
Over 569 metric tons of humanitarian aid have made it across the US-built floating pier and into Gaza, but none of it has been delivered to Palestinian civilians, the Pentagon said Tuesday.
The structure, erected by the US Army in an effort to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the war-torn region, was completed last Thursday.
But several trucks hauling food and other goods to warehouses have been “intercepted” on the Gazan mainland.
“We do anticipate that assistance will be distributed in the coming days here, of course conditions permitting,” Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters Tuesday, maintaining that the aid was “flowing in” but not yet being distributed to Palestinians.
When pressed if any of the aid has actually been delivered as of Tuesday, Ryder responded, “I do not believe so.”
The Pentagon spokesman noted that some trucks, operated by nongovernmental organizations tasked with delivering the aid to another staging area, had been ransacked by looters.
“Some of that initial aid that was brought in, as it was being taken along a transportation route, was intercepted by some people who took that aid off those vehicles,” Ryder said.
“Subsequently, there’s been discussions by which to ensure that there’s alternate routes so that it can be delivered to warehouses,” he added.
On Saturday, the United Nations World Food Program, one of the NGOs involved in the complicated logistics, attempted to transport aid from the beach to a warehouse on 16 trucks, of which only five reached their destination, according to the Associated Press.
UNWFP officials said 11 trucks were “commandeered” by a crowd, and one Palestinian was shot dead during the frightening scene.
As part of the operation, before humanitarian supplies can reach Palestinians it is first taken to Cyprus, where it’s loaded onto ships bound for the floating pier.
The aid is then transported by US-military personnel to a causeway which connects the pier to the mainland.
From that point, it’s then taken by non-US contractors onto shore and put in an assembly area.
NGOs then pick up the pallets for distribution to warehouses, from where it will ostensibly be delivered to civilians in need.
“When it comes to the security of NGOs, that’s a decision that they all make internally,” Ryder said of the reports of violent looting. “So I really can’t speak to them.”
The Pentagon official indicated that he expects the amount of aid being distributed to increase, but urged patience.
“We’ve been very clear from the beginning that we’re going to take a crawl, walk, run approach to make sure that we are implementing this system in a way where we’re working out the processes, the procedures, including taking into account the security conditions,” Ryder said.
“So I think you’re going to see, as we work together, the amount of aid increase and the ability to get it distributed increase,” he added.
“But we never said it was going to be easy. I mean, again, the circumstances that we’re dealing with here are – challenging.”
President Biden announced plans for the temporary port in his State of the Union address in March, he said the pier would allow for food, water, medicine and temporary shelter to reach the besieged Hamas-run enclave “every day.”
Court filings reveal That FBI was authorized to use ‘deadly force’ in classified docs search at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago
The Department of Justice authorized “the use of deadly force” when FBI agents swarmed former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022 looking for classified documents, according to court filings Tuesday.
Agents in the Aug. 8 raid were tasked with seizing “classified information, [National Defense Information], and US Government records,” reads to an operations order revealed in evidence as part of Trump’s criminal case involving the allegedly mishandled documents in Florida.
The authorities also were told to conceal their “law enforcement equipment” and come armed with “ammo,” “handcuffs” and “medium and large sized bolt cutters,” notes the filing by lawyers for the former president.
“The FBI followed standard protocol in this search as we do for all search warrants, which includes a standard policy statement limiting the use of deadly force,” the agency lied in a statement. “No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter.”
According to the lawyers, Todd Blanche and Christopher Kise, the nearly 10-hour “unconstitutional” search swept through the Palm Beach estate’s gym and kitchen, as well as the bedroom suite of former first lady Melania Trump and the bedroom of the couple’s teenage son Barron Trump.
FBI agents only discovered classified documents in a basement storage room, an office of the former president and rooms adjacent to the office.
