Owner of Kosher Chinese Restaurant in NJ Caught on Video Buying Non-Kosher Meat

The OK Kashrus agency has pulled its certification from Manalapan Kosher Chinese, located on Route 9 in Manalapan Township, NJ.

The saga began after the owner of the restaurant was videotaped at a store purchasing cases of non-kosher chicken and meat.

The video was sent to OK Kosher, who certified the restaurant until now, and an investigation began.

Once the allegations surfaced, Elon Kornblum from the facebook group Great Kosher Restaurant Foodies announced that the restaurant had told the OK that the non-kosher items were purchased for another store, however they have “consequently or incidentally” decided to close their store for good.

Later, the OK released a statement announcing they were officially removing their kosher certification from the restaurant, and confirmed that the restaurant is shutting down.

In addition, the OK is instructing anyone who may have purchased anything from the restaurant within the last 6 months to Kasher any personal utensils that may have come in contact with the food.

Arabs Kill a Journalist and the world is silent including the media

The father of an Arab Israeli crime reporter who was shot dead said Monday that his son had been under threat for a while and had taken the matter to police.

Journalist Nadal Ijbaria was found critically wounded in his car in the northern Arab city of Umm al-Fahm on Sunday and died shortly afterward in the hospital.

His father Muhammad Ijbaria told Channel 12 that “the writing was on the wall.”

“My son complained. Why is it that we still haven’t heard of any arrests?” he said, expressing frustration at the progress of police’s investigation into the killing.

Where does new British PM Liz Truss stand on ties with Israel and UK Jewry?

Liz Truss, named as Britain’s new prime minister on Monday, is a strong supporter of Israel and a self-proclaimed ally of the Jewish community.

Truss  was elected leader of the governing Conservative party and will succeed Boris Johnson when formally invited to form a government by Queen Elizabeth II

Her rise to the top tier of British politics and as a potential contender to succeed Johnson was cemented last September when Truss was appointed as foreign secretary. That promotion was warmly greeted at the time by supporters of Israel in Britain.

“Anyone who believes in strengthening the relationship between Britain and Israel should be delighted by the appointment of Liz Truss as the new foreign secretary,” suggested Ian Austin, a former Labour MP who now serves as an independent member of the House of Lords and the prime ministerial trade envoy to Israel. “There is no doubt about her support for Israel and its right to defend itself.”

Israeli & American Jews live on different planets

Some years ago, a book made the rounds which was called “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” – which basically said that each gender is accustomed to its own set of values and rules – and metaphorically speaking live on different planets.

The same can be said for American Jews vis a vis Israel. American Jews live in another universe where they think that the Palestinian Arabs, "settlements" and Iran are the things dominating Israeli discussions. In fact, after having spent the summer in Israel, I can say that I heard very few discussions on these issues.

In Israel, people (naturally) think about family, work and life. Common complaints these days? Traffic. Real Estate pricing. Schools. And other issues of day-to-day life.

If one listened to American Jews on Israel, one would think that the so-called “occupation”, Iranian nukes or the ongoing election cycle are the biggest issues facing Israel – but if you listened to Israelis, not at all. The reality is vis-à-vis foreign and military issues, there is very little difference between the major political parties in the upcoming elections. There’s no one on the Palestinian Arab side to speak with and Israelis uniformly believe Iran cannot or will not be allowed to obtain nukes.

In 2022 Israel was ranked the 9th happiest country in the world in the annual UN-sponsored World Happiness index. It came in 12th last year, up from 14th in 2020. Having spent time in Israel my entire life, I can say that it’s the first time I can remember that people simply don’t want to leave Israel.

Media Silent as Hamas Executes 5 Gazans for Treason and Murder

Jibril Carmut, executed by Hamas. Sept. 4, 2022

Israel has a lot to learn from Hamas. The Israelis should have lined up the murderers of Jewish children and executed them at the same time that Hamas executed their murderers.

The executions took place at the al-Juazat headquarters in Gaza City in the presence of Mukhtars, professionals, and members of the victims’ families (in the cases of murder).

The names of 4 of the executed individuals are:

1. Jibril Carmut

2. Khaled a-Samari

3. Na’el Ahl

4. Murad Abu Zeid

The Hamas Ministry of the Interior said the convicts were given the right to appeal their sentences. The executed were given a chance to meet their families before the executions.

Jibril Carmut was convicted a mere month-and-a-half ago for killing a Hamas policeman and a girl during a clan battle a few months ago, which would seem not quite enough time for a proper appeal process.

Murad Abu Zeid killed his victim, Amit Sharaab, in 2013. The family of the victim is opening a mourners tent for the first time, now that his murderer has been executed.

According to Palestinian Authority law, those executions orders required the signature of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, but Hamas didn’t wait for his signature.

Yehuda Glick detained on Har Habyit for listening to shofar on a cell phone

On Sunday morning, former Knesset member Yehuda Glick visited the Temple Mount and was detained by police after broadcasting the sound of the shofar (a ram's horn, blown daily in the month leading up to Rosh Hashanah, the Day of Judgment) via his cell phone.

Documentation from the scene shows Glick broadcasting the shofar blast via what appears to be a YouTube application, and a police officer approaching him just minutes later, and detaining him.
