'The experts say we know that this virus is, in fact, uh, um, uh, it's going to be, or excuse me': Biden loses his thoughts on vaccines, flubs answer on his foreign policy work and falsely tells town hall you WON'T get COVID if you have the shot

 

Joe Biden overinflated the efficiency of vaccines, especially against the Delta variant, during his gaffe-filled town hall on Wednesday where he claimed the jab will prevent Americans from contracting coronavirus. 

'We're not in the position where we think that any virus, including the Delta virus, which is much more transmissible and more deadly in terms of unvaccinated people, the – the various shots that people are getting now cover that,' Biden said during a CNN town hall in Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday.

'You're OK,' he assured. 'You're not going to – you're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.'

This statement is false considering vaccinated Americans have still contracted or have been hospitalized with the virus and breakthrough cases are increasing with the rapid spread of the Delta variant. 

'If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized, you're not going to be in the IC unit, and you're not going to die,' the president told host Don Lemon on stage at Mount St. Joseph University.

'So it's gigantically important that ... we all act like Americans who care about our fellow Americans,' he added. 

Biden struggled at some points during his town hall to complete statements coherently as he lost his train of thought on multiple occasions.

Republicans were quick to jump on the president's gaffes. 'Is this for real?' Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik tweeted on Wednesday. 

'And the media will continue to fawn and look the other way,' the New York Republican added. 

Poll: Majority Want BLM Protests Inquiry more than they want Jan 6 Inquiry

 

As House leaders engage in a standoff over Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Jan. 6 panel, a poll found that likely voters are more supportive of investigating the social injustice demonstrations that roiled the nation last summer.

A supermajority of likely voters (66%) want the Black Lives Matter and antifa protests investigated, while a majority do not support Pelosi’s inquiry into the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports poll.

Just 49% support Pelosi’s House Jan. 6 panel, and majorities of Blacks and Hispanics back an investigation into the protests that followed the murder of George Floyd by a police officer. The demonstrations sparked violence in a number of U.S. cities.

“Sixty-seven percent of whites, 64% of Black voters, 66% of Hispanics and 62% of other minorities think Congress should investigate the 2020 riots in U.S. cities,” Rasmussen Reports wrote in the analysis of the poll. “Seventy-five percent of Republicans, 60% of Democrats, and 63% of voters not affiliated with either major party say Congress should investigate last year’s violent protests.”

Also, according to the poll, majorities of likely voters back police and reject the narrative of systemic racism in law enforcement.

Netflix Loses Nearly Half Million Subscribers as it Pushes More Woke Content

 Netflix lost nearly a half million subscribers in the U.S. and Canada during the second quarter in a surprising consumer rebuke as the streamer continues to embrace left-wing politics and woke content, including a new slate of programming from Barack and Michelle Obama.

The exodus also reflects a growing public disenchantment with paid streaming services in general, but particularly Netflix, as Americans grow weary of rising prices and over-hyped content, while embracing other forms of entertainment post-lockdown.

The streamer said it lost 430,000 subscribers domestically for the period,  the first time it has bled subscribers in two years, when it lost 100,000 subscribers during the second quarter of 2019. Wall Street views subscriptions as the key indicator of Netflix’s financial health because it is the best gauge of the company’s future cash flow.

n its earnings announcement, Netflix blamed the subscriber loss on seasonality and the already large size of its North American customer base. The streamer made no mention of its increasingly left-wing content as well as the openly partisan public positions its executives have taken in recent months.

Gafni: A temporary government with small kippahs

 

The chairman of the Degel HaTorah party, MK Moshe Gafni, participated on Thursday evening as the guest of honor at an event for yeshiva students in Kiryat Ye'arim.

Gafni attacked the government in his speech and said, "I suggest to the heads of the interim government with the small kippahs who think the haredi public is upset, that they come here and see how the haredi public is happy and growing, and proud of the holy yeshiva students."

"We are not afraid of the dark, we are not afraid of you, we will topple you soon," Gafni declared.

The head of the Kiryat Ye'arim council, Yitzhak Ravitz, said, "What Rabbi Gafni is doing in the opposition, ten MKs are not doing in the coalition, all the events here and more are happening thanks to him."

Rabbi Eliezer Melamed "Let Reform have mixed services at the Western Wall"

 

A senior Religious Zionist rabbi has called on the authorities in charge of the Western Wall Plaza to accommodate Reform and Conservative prayer groups at a separate section of the wall designated for egalitarian prayer.

Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, chief rabbi of the Samaria town of Har Bracha and dean of the local yeshiva, penned a piece on Arutz Sheva’s Hebrew website Thursday arguing that non-traditional prayer groups should be given accommodation at the Western Wall.

The rabbi emphasized that the prayers should be permitted only in the ‘Ezrat Yisrael’ section of the Western Wall Plaza – an area on the southern end of the plaza, separate from the main prayer areas of the plaza.

“Because there are many Jews who identify with the Conservative and Reform movements, and have based on the values which they set for their mixed prayers involving both women and men in a form which violates Jewish law and tradition, and they wish to pray by the Western Wall, it is correct to set aside the ‘Ezrat Yisrael’ area for them to hold their prayer services in a respectable manner,” Rabbi Melamed wrote.

“If more people come to pray adhering to their rules, the area allotted to them in the Ezrat Yisrael space should be increased as needed.”

“Orthodox and haredi people who adhere to Jewish law and tradition need not be bothered by these groups which come to the Western Wall. Rather, they should be happy that more of their Jewish brothers and sisters are connecting to the site of the Temple, and more of them want to pray to their Father in Heaven.”

Rabbi Melamed also said the administrators of the Western Wall should see to the needs of Reform and Conservative worshippers, including providing them with Torah scrolls.

"They need a Torah scroll [the Western Wall's rabbi] should take care of it."

The article was penned in response to a confrontation in the Western Wall Plaza during the Tisha B’Av fast this week, during which non-Orthodox and Orthodox worshippers clashed over the mixed prayers at the site.

Satmar Chassidim teamed up with the Hisachdas Ha'Ganavim to protest a new development site in Gush Etzion. The event was in front of the Israeli Consulate in Manhattan. 

What a great activity for the bored chassidim during "Bain Hazmanim" they don't have smart phones (officially) they don't have internet, they are prohibited from riding bikes and swimming, sports are "avoida zara". What a way to keep them out of trouble.The organiser of this event is brilliant and should get an award.

The developer in the Gush wan't paying off the "Asra Kadisha" so the extremists decided to claim that the site has Jewish bones there from 2,000 years ago. 

Gedoiei Yisrael including Rav Moshe Shternbuch have already paskened that the bones are not Jewish. 

A couple of weeks ago, the "Asra Kadisha" shlepped the old feeble 95 year-old R' Tuvia Weiss to the Gush to the protest.

The developer wasn't having any of this and so he called in the police. The police began yelling at the old Rav, and according to the lying "asra kadisha" the police threw smoke bombs at the vehicle. This turned out to be a big lie, but that didn't stop them from making a huge rally in Kikar Ha'shabbos against the police who dissed the old rav. This protest, as I reported previously, was also a protest against R' Shternbuch one of their own leaders. 

At that protest the spokesman for the Eida Hachareidis, Dayan Fisher got up and and asked "how do you expect the police to have respect for Gedoilim when we ourselves don't have any respect for ours ." He then stormed off the stage with another 50 rabbanim following from the dais..

In Monroe, Satmar continues to annex land and build disregarding the fact that there may be bones there from American Indians.... actually that may be a bigger problem since there was at least one  achron  that held that the American Indians were from the lost 10 tribes. 

Who knew? American Indians lived in Kiryas Yoel.
