Trump to Allow Citizens Born in Jerusalem to List Israel On Their Passports
The Trump administration is expected to announce that it will allow US citizens born in Jerusalem to list Israel as their country of birth on their passports, according to a Wednesday report.
An unnamed US official told Politico that the policy change could be announced as soon as Thursday. The State Department declined a request for comment.
Current US policy allows American citizens born in Jerusalem to identify only the city as their birthplace in their passports, unless they were born before Israel’s creation in 1948. The State Department policy, held up by a 2015 Supreme Court case, is designed to avoid having Washington take a position on the final status of Jerusalem, the eastern part of which Palestinians claim as their future capital.
That policy has remained in place even after the US recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in 2017, despite growing pressure from pro-Israel lawmakers and groups in the US to allow Israel on the passports. However, the State Department said at the time that it would not revise the position.
The policy change only affects the words written on the passport. Israelis born in Jerusalem are already recognized as being from Israel by US agencies.
The new policy will allow Jerusalem-born US passport holders to choose whether they want Israel to be included as their country of birth, Politico said. No country option will be given to those who would like their country of birth to be documented as Palestine, though those born in Jerusalem before 1948 may have “Jerusalem, Palestine” on their passports.
Previous administrations often struggled with the studied neutrality over the city, routinely making embarrassing corrections to documents identifying the city as “Jerusalem, Israel.”
The reported decision comes amid a flurry of gestures and diplomatic activity seemingly aimed at shoring up pro-Israel Jewish and Evangelical Republican voters, with days to go before the November 3 presidential election.
The report of the policy change came just hours after Israel and the US signed an agreement extending their scientific cooperation, a move viewed by some as a first step toward American recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.
The Trump administration has also sought to expand the list of Arab and Muslim-majority countries to normalize relations with Israel in the final months of its first term. On Friday, Sudan agreed to become the third country to do so in recent months, following the lead of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain after weeks of pressure from Washington, which conditioned removing Khartoum from its blacklist of state terror sponsors on Sudan making peace with the Jewish state.
Agudath Israel of America: "Zionism Incompatible with Charedi Belief"
The Agudah thinks that by making this outrageous statement, Satmar will now love them....
At a time when we need the State of Israel more than ever, a time when most Jews in the world now live in Israel, a time where Goyishe leaders like Cuomo and DeBalssio stab them in the back and in the front, they come up with this to stay relevant... is an act against the Jewish People themselves!
This is a slap in the face to hundreds and thousands of Gedoiei Yisrael that were Zionists, many Gedoilim like the "Netziv" founded the Zionist movement ...
They claim that they issued this statement because of the "organizational statements of the WZO" .... interesting.... just weeks ago the Agudah and other Chareidie Organizations were pushing Chareidie Jews to become members of the WZO so they can lay their hands on 5 billion dollars.....
Why come with this statement now? When we are in an election?
The Biden/Harris anti-semites will now jump on this stating that even Jews do not recognize the State so why should any goy?
I know many on the Executive board personally.... they are by-in-large very naive Flatbush "machers" ... who want to remain relevant and want to seduce the Satmar brothers ...
who hate them anyway ...
And I'll let you into a little secret ... SHHHH don't tell anyone
Satmar and the Agudah work together all the time...they are on the same page on all issues ... I repeat all issues!...you can walk into the Agudah offices on any day and you will see Satmar askanim there all the time.. take it from me, I worked with the Agudah many years ago on getting funds to Yeshivos... Satmar ran the meetings, and the Agudah lawyers were crouching in their seats like reprimanded puppies ..... Satmar uses the Agudah because the Aguda guys are shaven and wear suits ...and so they are the face of Satmar in Washington and in Albany.
The Agudah wouldn't dare reprimand Satmar for their huge protests against the Jewish State ..where was the Agudah letter when Satmar Rebbe made a huge chillul Hashem writing letters to Congress to state that Chareidim back the murderous Iran deal?
Shame on them...
Agudath Israel of America on Wednesday released a statement in which it emphasized that “Any suggestion that the ideology of Zionism is compatible with Chareidi Jewry’s fundamental beliefs has no basis and must be rejected.”
“Recent organizational statements from representatives of the Zionist movement have implied that Chareidi Jews have accepted the Jerusalem Program of the World Zionist Organization. This Program, which is a statement of the Zionist ideology, declares Zionism to be ‘the national liberation movement of the Jewish people’ and avers to ‘the centrality of the State of Israel . . . in the life of the nation.’
“The Jewish people is a nation based on the belief in One Hashem and the Torah He gave us, and nothing else. By omitting this truth, the Jerusalem Program – and the Zionist ideology it embodies – attempt to redefine the essence of the Jewish people as a political entity similar to all other nations of the world. This redefinition goes against the essence of our emunah and mesorah.
“Among the foundational principles upon which the Torah giants of the past century established the Agudas Yisroel movement was the firm rejection of the Zionist redefinition of Jewish peoplehood. Throughout its history Agudas Yisroel has remained faithful to that essential principle, and it will continue to do so. We therefore reiterate: Any suggestion that the ideology of Zionism is compatible with Chareidi Jewry’s fundamental beliefs has no basis and must be rejected.
“Also without basis is the notion that a party identifying itself as representing Chareidi Jews has the authority to sign a coalition agreement within the World Zionist Congress together with other Jewish parties including non-Orthodox religious groups, as happened last week. Chareidi Jewry has long abided by the halachic ruling of the most revered Torah leaders of a generation ago that it is forbidden to join Jewish organizations whose purpose is to bring Orthodox Jewry together with non-Orthodox under one organizational umbrella. What happened last week at the World Zionist Congress transgresses the spirit of that ruling, and represents a departure from accepted Chareidi norms. Whatever financial benefits may accrue to worthy institutions as a result of this coalition agreement, they do not justify the abandonment of principle.
“At a time when there is so much confusion in our Jewish world, it is essential that we Chareidim remind ourselves that we stand for principle – and that we cannot stand silently by when fundamental values are distorted.”
Agudath Israel emphasized, however, that their statement was simply “a reiteration of our movement’s longstanding theological stance, in this case on Zionism,” and “does not mean [...] that we reject in any way our fellow Jews who may not recognize” the Torah as “the ultimate definer and unifier of the Jewish people.”
“No Jews are less beloved to us for that lack of recognition.”
“The statement also does not mean that we reject Israel as an illegitimate state to be resisted. Israel’s existence is a fact, and we uphold the guidance of Gedolim through the years who have counseled religious Jews to participate in her democratic process, through voting, representation in the Knesset and respect for Israeli law. And, as always, Agudath Israel of America will advocate in the halls of government for Israel’s security and economic needs and general welfare.
“And, most importantly, the statement is not intended to – and does not – in any way injure Jewish unity. On the contrary, it fosters it, in its reminding to all Jews that, as Rav Saadia Gaon famously declared: ‘The Jewish nation is a nation only by virtue of the Torah,’” Agudath Israel concluded.

Transgender Sues After Being Refused by Beauty Pageant
A Canadian transgender woman is suing a beauty pageant company for refusing to allow her to compete in its contest, according to the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom, which represents the business.
Jessica Yaniv, a transgender LQBTQ rights activist, filed a human rights complaint against Toronto’s Canada Galaxy Pageants alleging it is in violation of the Ontario Human Rights Code, the conservative legal policy organization announced Monday.
In May 2019, Yaniv, whose biological sex is male, applied to be a contestant in the pageant’s “28 Years and Older Division” but did not disclose she was transgender and had yet to complete gender reassignment surgery, the Justice Centre alleged.
Yaniv was “tentatively accepted” to the pageant but the business had a formal policy stating only genetic females, or transgender women who had fully transitioned, were allowed to be contestants, the Justice Centre said.
When Yaniv was “reminded” of the policy, she filed a complaint alleging the pageant company engaged in discrimination based on gender identity, gender expression and sex.
She is seeking $10,000 in damages for “injury to dignity and feelings” and wants Ontario’s Human Rights Tribunal to rule that organizations cannot refuse service to someone based on their genitals, the Justice Centre alleged.
“For reasons of safety and security, it is imperative that biological women and girls, and fully transitioned transgender females, have spaces where they can associate free from the presence of individuals with male genitals. This is particularly so in situations where women and girls are exposed or vulnerable,” Allison Kindle Pejovic, an attorney with the Justice Centre, said in a statement.
Yaniv didn’t immediately return a request for comment and her complaint, which is confidential, was not readily available.
The Justice Centre accused the activist of being a serial filer of human rights complaints. In 2019, Yaniv filed a series of complaints against five Vancouver estheticians for their refusal to perform bikini waxes on her because of her genitals. The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal later dismissed the charges and ruled Yaniv’s motive was to “target small businesses for personal financial gain,” not “prevent or remedy discrimination,” according to the Telegraph.

Watch: Blacks Assault Kick Out Jews from Philadelphia BLM Protest
Stupid naive Jews, they think that by joining them in protest the blacks are going to love them!
A video going viral on social media shows 2 Jewish men being verbally and physically assaulted, and being told to leave a Philadelphia Black Lives Matter protest event.
The video begins with 2 visibly Jewish men standing in a crowd, when they are approached by a black man videoing them, who yells “What are y’all doing out here?! Do you live here? “You know we’re the real jews, right?” he continues.
“This ain’t your fight!” another black calls out to them.
The men were then chased out of the event, to shouts of “Walk!” and “Get the [expletive] out of here!” Another black man can be heard saying “You trash.”
As they begin to move, another black man approaches them and shoves them. Right away someone moves in between the Jews and the person who shoved them, but he points down the block to send them off, while someone yells “Get off my block!”
The video ends with original person videoing the incident calling out “Revelation 2:9, synagogue of Satan.”
The term “synagogue of Satan” generally refers to a group that persecuted and rioted against the church, widely understood to mean Jews. Verses such as this one have been used in black communities, such as Philadelphia, to justify hate to Jewish people.
Satmar Rebbe Slams Recent Protests In Boro Park but It's Ok for him to Protest Israel!
One is only allowed to protest against a country inhabited by almost seven million Jews ,not only are you allowed to protest, but allowed to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars yearly in disseminating vicious anti Israel propaganda and telling the world Jews have no sovereign rights to the land of Israel.
And of course, when the Israeli P.M was here a few years ago begging congress not to let Obama make his murderous deal with Iran, then it was perfectly alright to write letters to all the N.Y. congressmen that frum Jews support the President and we are loyal citizens to the country we live in.Yesterday, The Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel, Hagaon HaRav Aaron Teitelbaum addressed the Boro Park community, where he slammed the recent protests that were held in the community.
“We don’t make any protests in the streets. And you are not permitted to make protests in the streets. This doesn’t accomplish any good, and only does the opposite!”, the Rebbe stated.
“Yidden are in Galus. We have to know we are in Galus. We must to continue learning Torah, but not to make any protests in the street Chalila!”
“Praise unto the person who doesn’t follow in the ways of the evil.”
The Rebbe stressed that Limud Hatorah must continue at all costs, and ended his speech by saying that it is his Tefillah and Bracha that the restrictions will be lifted very soon, and we will be able to go on with our lives.
