Williamsburg couple host viral bark-mitzvah for 13-year-old pug: ‘Purely joyful’

DIN: What's with the mixed dancing at a simcha? Where are the Satmar neighbors?

Frankie the Pug recently reached her 13th birthday, and to celebrate she was feted by her owners at a well-attended bark-mitzvah in Williamsburg.

The adorable pug’s vibrant bash, which went viral on social media, was planned by owner Nicolette Mason, 39, and her partner, Nina Kossoff.

“Frankie is very sweet, emotionally intelligent, and gentle,” Mason told The Post.

“She makes everyone who she interacts with feel like they are her new favorite person.”

Mason got Frankie the pug puppy back in 2012.

Earlier this month, Mason’s neighbor filmed the moment when more than a dozen clapping guests encircled Frankie as she was hoisted into the air during the traditional Hora, a Jewish celebration regaling the guest of honor.

Mason has been hearing from all sorts of fans ever since — including folks “I haven’t seen or talked to since my own bat mitzvah.”

She said thousands of people have reached out to her and “expressed their own joy from seeing Frankie’s bark mitzvah.

“I think seeing something purely joyful was really needed for a lot of people right now,” the doggy mom added.

There are no plans to launch a pug party-planning business at the moment, “but who knows,” Mason said.

“If we’ve inspired anyone to do something joyful and bring a little whimsy into their lives, bringing their loved ones and community together — I love that.”

The hope is that this marks the first of many milestones the couple will celebrate with Frankie.

“She’s just the sweetest,” Mason added. “We feel so lucky to get to celebrate a milestone birthday with her, and hope to celebrate her Sweet Sixteen in a few years.”

These "bark-mitzvas" are a huge Hilil Hashem. Even the nazis didn't think of it. In a short time, these distorted people will perform a bris on a rabbit, and then on a donkey, it's just a matter of time.
The fact that "frum people do worse things" is no valid argument: If someone speeds up at 160 mph, does it make it legal for you to drive at 120 mph ??

The concept of Chilul Hashem has a meaning: Chazal tell us that "Chilul" is not only a desecration: it's a word for emptiness (chalal is the modern-hebrew word for the outer space, above the atmosphere, with no light, no sounds, no water, no oxygen).
Chilul Hashem designate a time and/or a place void of HB"H. This is what these clowns are doing, and they want a shtempfel on it.
