Family Feud ”Smotrich resigns from government in spat with Ben-Gvir"

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich decided this evening (Monday) to temporarily resign from his position in the government in order to remove MK Yitzhak Kroizer from Otzma Yehudit from the Knesset on the grounds that National Security Minister Ben-Gvir is violating the terms of the coalition agreement.

A source in the Religious Zionism party told Arutz Sheva that "Otzma Yehudit's behavior is incomprehensible. It's a shame they are not fulfilling their commitment to return Sukkot to the Knesset, even though, at Otzma Yehudit's request, the coalition left MK Kroizer in the Knesset at the time of their party's withdrawal from the government."

"Sukkot and Kroizer are excellent national parliamentarians, but Ben-Gvir's refusal to fulfill his commitment and [carry out] the removal of these two players from the coalition is unnecessary and inappropriate," the source said.

The Otzma Yehudit party was restrained in its response, stating, "We will not get into unnecessary quarrels in the coalition. If it doesn't work out, we don't need 'Norwegian' MKs." The party noted that they have found a new role for Kroizer, outside the Knesset: "He will be appointed director-general of Otzma Yehudit."

Religious Zionism party director-general Yehuda Wald wrote, "We kept Kroizer in the Knesset for two months in the place reserved for Religious Zionism, even though Ben-Gvir and his party withdrew from the coalition and expelled Zvi Sukkot from the Knesset. Now they have realized that they were wrong and returned to the government. Welcome back. Now, despite explicit agreements, they refuse to abide by the agreements and return Zvi to the Knesset. Itamar demands jobs and a ministerial position that is unnecessary at the expense of the Israeli people in the middle of a war. Childish behavior."

Satmar Ruv did not fight with R' Moshe. He held that the artificial insemination teshuva should not be publicly available. When some Shvartz Satmar hooligans attacked R' Moshe on their own, the Ruv forced them to apologize

In 2010, the gadol hador Horav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv published a letter criticizing Shas Party Sfardim for joining the WZO. He wrote that the Party is turning its back on the basics of Torah Jewry. He compared this move to the decision of the Mizrachi movement to join the WZO [100+ years ago] which was the deciding factor in their separation from authentic Torah Judaism.

Admit it already. Despite eventually defending him to save face, one of the top Dokter Rabbiners backing the Zionists, Isaac Rulf of Memel, felt personally "hurt" when Herzl was made head of the movement in 1896. See Alexander Carlebach's book "Adass Yeshurun of Cologne: the Life and Death of a Kehilla" & Josef Fraenkel's book "Isaac Ruelf: a Pioneering Zionist"

You can try to rewrite history all you want but we old enough to remember, remember that when R' Moshe came to a wedding in Williamsburg, they almost turned over the car and police needed to be called, he never entered the hall. The "Ruv' never asked anyone to apologize and no one ever did! What is ironic is that infertile Satmar couples now use R' Moshe's heter! The "Ruv" is turning in his grave!

Mizwachi
The " gadol hador Horav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv ?"
I have to laugh that a Satmarer like "Mizwachi" calls R' Eliyashiv "a gadol hador" R' Eliyashiv z"l was on the Zionist payroll for decades and in Satmar they called R' Eliyashiv a "sheigatz" and he criticized the "Shas Party?" so what? the Shas party also had a "gadol hador" Rav Avadia Yosef z"l
and he "faft him uhn"

" Isaac Rulf of Memel, felt personally "hurt" when Herzl was made head of the movement in 1896."
I'm sure he got over it!
It was because Herzl was the "head of the movement" that we now have a country who are the largest contributor of Torah Moisdois, this year alone in 2025 866 million shekels to Chareidie Moisdois!

Veiss Ich nisht from the car. A big talmid of R' Moshe told me & it's also printed in some books that it was some out of control Satmar hoolligans who were the ones calling R' Moshe's apt at crazy hours to shrei on him disgusting nivul peh, which defeats the whole purpose of not wanting the halacha teshuva made public. Satmar Ruv sent a gantz delegation for mechila. He warned them not to try to argue in lomdus against the psak because they cannot beat him in lomdus. They didn't listen & made shoitim out of themselves. Satmar Ruv chewed them out & sent a different delegation after he made them mamash promise to only ask mechila & not argue about nothing. Not sure I believe this one which according to Artscroll, one time R' Dovid saw the tatti turn veiss while he listen to the whole tirade of one such crank caller. Hut em gefregt, tatti why you don't just hang up on dem chaya? Hut R' Moshe geentfert maybe he would also have episs a dvar toiv tze zuggin

Except, unlike the Chareidim, you won't be seeing any news stories of massive street fights between the two factions.

Long time WZO President Chaim Weizmann went to cheder in the same shtettl as oissvorf Saul Lieberman who ended up in "Jewish" Theological Cemetery.

Here you have it folks, one of the top examples of Zionist role model:

In 1898, he attended the 2nd Zionist Congress in Basel & became engaged to Sophia Getzowa. Getzowa & Weizmann were together for 4 years before Weizmann, who became romantically involved with Vera Khatzman in 1900, confessed to Getzowa he was seeing another woman. He didn't tell the family he was leaving Getzowa until 1903. His fellow students held a mock trial & ruled that Weitzman should uphold his commitment to Getzowa. Weizmann ignored them.

Brother Shmuel Weizmann was a dedicated Communist & member of the anti-Zionist Bund. Sister Minna Weizmann was lover of Nazi Kurt Prüfer, a spy for Germany in Egypt in 1915. Minna was outed as a spy during a trip to Italy & deported to be sent to a British POW camp. Back in Cairo, she successfully persuaded the consul of the Russian Czar to provide her safe passage out. En route to Russia, she managed to reconnect with Prüfer. Minna was never formally charged with espionage, survived the war & returned to Palestine to work for Zionist org Hadassah.

Weizmann's most recent biographers describe him as a blatant elitist, disgusted by the masses, coldly aloof from his family, callous with friends if they didn't support him, despondently alienated from Palestine, where he lived only with reluctance & repelled by Jewish immigrants from eastern Europe (Ofer Aderet, "This Founding Father of the Jewish State Was a Serial Cheater Who Hated Israel", Haaretz, 12 Sept 2020).

Weizmann formed a friendship with OTD ex-Skverer Asher Ginzberg, a writer who urged against "repressive cruelty" to Arabs. He regularly traveled by train to London to discuss cultural Zionism with Ginzberg, aka Ahad Ha'am. He stayed at Ginzberg's home in Hampstead.

Weizmann's personality became an issue. He was also criticized by Harry Cohen. A London delegate raised a censure motion

Weizmann considered himself, not Ben-Gurion, the political heir to Herzl. Herzl's only descendant was Stephen Norman (born Stephan Theodor Neumann, 1918–1946). Dr. Rosenblum, editor of Haboker, later Yediot Aharonot, noted in 1945 that Weizmann deeply resented Norman when he arrived in Britain. Norman spoke to the Zionist conference in London. "The chairman suddenly announced that in the hall was Herzl's grandson who wanted to say a few words. There was thrill in the hall when Norman mounted the platform. At that moment, Weizmann turned his back on the speaker to remain in this bodily & mental attitude until the guest finished his speech." The article went on to note that Norman was snubbed by Weizmann & co because of ego, jealousy, vanity & their own personal ambitions.
