Yesterday in Rome Israeli President Ruvi Rivlin
and his personal secretary Rivka Ravitz (orthodox woman) went to the Vatican to visit Pope Francis!
Protocol is when you meet the pope you shake hands and bow down
When it came to Rivka's turn to do so she explained to the pope that according to Jewish law a
woman is not allowed to shake a mans hand and can't bow to a cross (on his
necklace )

She probably brought him a good pastrami and corned beef sandwich with a kosher pickle as a gift. The pope was so happy he was being treated to a really good meal instead of the regular crap they serve in the Vatican cafeteria that he figured, "To Hell with protocol; I'll cover up the getchka. As for some of the hurtful comments on this page - what a pity that when presented with an opportunity to see an act of holiness there are some who can't see past their tunnel-visioned party lines. Instead of looking for negativity they would be better guided by the principle of קבל את האמת ממי שאומרה or in this case ממי שעושהו. At any rate it doesn't take away an iota from her great deed.
