1 in 100 people over the age of 60 in the Charedi sector have died from the coronavirus.

Prof. Eran Segal of the Weizmann Institute today (Monday) published data on deaths from the coronavirus among people over the age of 60 among the various ethnic groups which make up Israeli society.

According to data published by Prof. Segal, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, 1 in 100 people over the age of 60 in the haredi sector have died from the coronavirus.

The Arab sector has also been hit hard by the coronavirus, with 1 in 140 people over the age of 60 in the Arab sector in Israel dying from the virus.

Looking at the general public in the State of Israel, 1 in 350 people over the age of 60 has died from the coronavirus. The data showed that 93% of those who died of the coronavirus were over the age of 60.

Prof. Segal said: "If the level of morbidity in the general population was the same as in the haredi sector, it could have amounted to an additional 7,600 deaths compared to today from the general sector aged 60 and over."

Trump's impeachment defense team will show video clips of Dems urging violence in 2020

Former President Donald Trump's defense team will show videos of Democrats encouraging violence and destruction in 2020 at his Senate impeachment trial on Tuesday, one of his lawyers said.

The video clips are intended to rebut claims that Trump incited violence at his January 6 rally near the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

When asked by Fox News' Laura Ingraham about using a video montage of Democrats encouraging chaos and violence, Trump lawyer Bruce Castor said, "you can count on that."

"I've been looking at a lot of video over the past couple of days," Castor said.

Castor said Trump's primary defense will be that the Senate lacks jurisdiction because Trump has already left office.

"By the House impeachment logic, they could go back and impeach Abraham Lincoln," Castor said.

Those wanting to convict Trump are seeking to permanently disqualify the former president from ever holding any federal office in the U.S. again.

The "Marmosets" Monkeys Are Into "Loshon Hara"

Like a nosy neighbor, marmosets eavesdrop on the conversations of others—and judge them based on what they “say,” new research finds. The pint-size primates might be using the behavior to screen strangers, preferring to mingle with those they feel will make the best nannies for their offspring.

“This study is really cool because it pinpoints what’s happening inside the animal” when they eavesdrop, says Sonja Koski, an evolutionary anthropologist at the University of Helsinki who was not involved with the work.

Common marmosets (Callithrix jacchus) are native to the forests of northeastern Brazil, where they scurry between branches like squirrels, thanks to their clawed fingernails. They’re tiny, weighing about 250 grams, and have white ear tufts that evoke the untamed hair of Albert Einstein. But it’s their social structure that really sets them apart.

Extended families of up to 15 marmosets live, eat, and hang out with each other, but only one or two pairs within each group breed. When babies are born, the whole clan pitches in: Siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles all take turns caring for the young. It takes a village to raise a marmoset.

Because marmosets rely on others for help, they must evaluate who is or isn’t good at cooperation, says Judith Burkart, an evolutionary anthropologist at the University of Zurich (UZH). That’s where the eavesdropping comes in. But what exactly is going on in the marmoset mind when they spy on the conversations?

The Reichstag Fire of the Democrats.............A pretext for political terror.

There are thousands of soldiers outside Congress and political terror inside its halls. That political terror isn’t coming from a QAnon Shaman who only eats organic food, but from the Democrats who are using a manufactured state of emergency to purge the opposition.

Democrats deployed 26,000 troops to Washington D.C. at a cost of $500 million. Thousands of soldiers, authorized to use deadly force as they were forbidden to do either at the border or during the Black Lives Matter assault on the White House, will stay to fight an imaginary threat.

While walls, razor wire, and military encampments rise outside the halls of government, inside them the Democrats have unleashed a true coup. Protesters have “stormed” Congress before, from both the Left and the Right, which cannot be called overthrowing the government. But Democrats began their own overthrow by launching an unconstitutional post-office impeachment of President Trump for speaking at a peaceful protest and a push to remove Senate members who objected to the stolen election by abusing the 14th Amendment.

The fake emergency has been extended to March. The FBI continues falsely claiming that there is some sort of threat that requires 7,500 soldiers to conduct a military occupation of the nation’s capital. The FBI’s claims that this threat would occur during “First Amendment-protected protests” has a massive credibility problem because there have been no protests in D.C.

Even though these protests have yet to emerge for over a month, the occupation goes on.

THANKS SO MUCH,, IT MEANS THE WORLD TO US IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMESֱ

The fascist theater of the military occupation is a pretext for a political occupation with Democrats inciting political purges in legislatures, both state and national, of any Republicans who criticised the stolen election and called for accountability on behalf of the voters. A purge is also underway of the military and law enforcement to root out “extremists” from the same forces that the Democrats have deployed to intimidate Americans and suppress political dissent.

Having pulled off a coup, the Democrats are seeking partisan political control over the military.

There are plenty of precedents for a political faction declaring a false state of emergency, occupying the center of government, and unleashing a campaign of political repression.

Those precedents don’t come from America. And they have no place in the United States.

In 1933, the Nazis used the Reichstag fire to begin purging the political opposition. The fire in the German parliament building was exploited by the Nazis to seize control and purge the opposition, beginning with the Communists, and then moving on to everyone else.

A year later the Communists imitated their National Socialist comrades with the Kirov assassination. The Reichstag Fire Decree and the Great Purge both blamed the inciting incidents on the political opposition and used them as a pretext for an emergency, for endless investigations, and for criminalizing dissent against two formerly weak leaders: Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

The Reichstag fire was used to suppress the authority, independence, and democracy of the Weimar Republic’s legislature in the name of protecting it from assault. The Nazis dismantled the Reichstag’s ability to meaningfully govern, purged dissenting parties, and gave the National Socialist movement and its officials complete control over Germany at every level of power.

By the time the Nazis were done exploiting the Reichstag fire, the Reichstag had been destroyed in a way that no fire, no matter how hot or severe, could have done.

The Kirov assassination eliminated Stalin’s greatest rival, and was then used by the Communist dictator to purge all his remaining rivals in a systematic process of trials and executions. Rivals were forced to accept “moral responsibility” for Kirov’s death in an ominous parallel to the way that Republicans are told to accept moral responsibility for a “coup” invented by the media.

The Democrats manufactured a permanent state of emergency and blamed its existence on their political opponents. That emergency has as little reality as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who claimed that she was nearly murdered while being in an entirely different building. But the political terror and the purges being pushed in the name of that emergency are all too real.

History offers ominous precedents as the Democrats engage in a military occupation of D.C. and seek to purge political opponents by treating opposition as, in their own words, “seditious”.

Like their National Socialist and Communist ideological forebears, the Fascist Left has spent the past four years inventing new and undefined political crimes, beginning with “disinformation” and escalating to “incitement” and “sedition”, which lack any resemblance to normative legal usage.

Democrats keep claiming that the First Amendment doesn’t permit “shouting fire in a crowded theater”, even while they’re shouting, “Reichstag fire” in the crowded theater of government.

Nothing in President Trump’s speech could be described as a call to violence. Nor can anything that Senator Ted Cruz or any other Senate Republican said be described as incitement or sedition. President Trump and Senate Republicans were far more careful in their words about the stolen election of 2020 than the Democrats were in falsely claiming that the 2016 election was stolen. (Not to mention the 2000 and 2004 elections which they had challenged.)

When House Democrats universally voted to call for removing President Trump under the 25th Amendment, they engaged in a coup. But just as the Democrats detached the 25th Amendment from its actual meaning and redefined “unable” to mean politically, not medically, unable, they’ve been redefining legal terms, politically to invent an entire set of new political crimes.

The invention of undefined political crimes parallels Stalin’s use of “socially dangerous” to convict, try, and execute political opponents without ever defining a clear legal meaning.

But it had an obvious political meaning.

All the political crimes invented by the Democrats really translate into political opposition.

The Democrat uses of “incitement” and “sedition” are political crimes that mean opposing them. That’s why it was patriotic of them to question every single election won by a Republican in this century, but why it’s “seditious” of Republicans to question the 2020 election. “Incitement” is a Stalinist formulation which invents a political crime and then connects all political opposition to it.

“Disinformation” means any information or opinion whose distribution the Democrats oppose.

"Have you heard what happened in Germany? Some fellow that Hitler, knows how to treat his political opponents," Stalin had told the Politburo about Hitler's purge during the Night of the Long Knives. By year’s end, Stalin began his own purge. Biden has profited by his example.

All of this was not a reaction to a single incident. Like the Reichstag fire and the Kirov assassination, the Democrats had spent generations criminalizing political dissent.

The Biden purges have their origins in the FDR administration’s attempt to criminalize political dissent using false claims of a secret shadow conspiracy of industrialists against the New Deal, all the way up to more recent efforts by the Clinton administration to link the militia movement to “right-wing talk radio” to create a political boogeyman, and Obama’s criminalization of the Tea Party as a dangerous and violent movement that was about to usher in a new civil war.

The profiling of military veterans, the suppression of conservative political speech, and the invention of political crimes were rampant under Clinton and Obama. Now they’re back.

The Obama administration had already abused national security tools to spy on its political opponents, from the Trump campaign to pro-Israel activists, by inventing yet another set of political crimes that harkened back to the Hitler and Stalin era, and accusing them of conspiring with foreign powers. The Biden administration is now preparing to step up the same campaign under the guise of fighting sedition. After being part of an administration which abused the National Security Council to target Republicans over accusations of foreign contacts, Biden will use the NSC to combat “domestic extremism”. The pretexts for the emergency justifying domestic repression continue to change, but the repression remains entirely consistent.

The Democrats have only begun exploiting their permanent state of emergency. And they intend to use it to usher in a one-party state while purging the political opposition. Russia and Germany show us how these purges by megalomaniacal fascists will end once they are set into motion.

Republicans must push back against the occupation of Washington D.C. and against a fake state of emergency whose goal, like those of the Reichstag Fire Decree and the Great Purge, is the suspension of political norms and the rule of law by keeping the people afraid all the time.

It’s a lot easier to stop a purge before it starts than to try to pause it once it’s underway.

There is no room in America for show trials, government surveillance of political opponents, and smearing political dissent as incitement, sedition, and domestic terrorism. The only emergency here is the leftist plot against the Constitution under the guise of manufactured emergencies.

The only way that emergency will end is when the Democrats stop inventing emergencies to bury the Bill of Rights under a stack of executive orders, razor wire, and political purges.

The Murderers That Biden Will Now Negotiate With .... Read a Letter From a Mother Whose Son Was Murdered ...."The night of the attack"

by Rivkah Moriah

The night my son, my first-born, my beloved, Avraham David was murdered was March 6, 2008, Rosh Chodesh Adar on the Hebrew calendar.

Rosh Chodesh Adar initiates a period of rejoicing in the Jewish calendar, so it was an auspicious date for Yeshivat Har Etzion to be celebrating its fortieth anniversary. I was there with my husband, David, Avraham David’s stepfather, participating in the event.

It was while preparing the sources before a class to be given by Rav Aharon Lichtenstein that we received the first text message. “Attack in Mercaz HaRav, three moderately injured.” Avraham David didn’t study in Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav, he was at the high school next door, Yashlatz. But I knew Avraham David. He was precocious beyond his years, and I knew that he frequented Mercaz HaRav, and had even spent several days there as a full-time student when, due to the prediction of a particularly severe snowstorm, his high school had sent all the students home. On Sunday morning, instead of enjoying the brief vacation, he packed his bag, grabbed a sleeping bag and headed into town. That was how determined he was to learn, and that was how dedicated he was to the study-hall.

“Three moderately injured,” that didn’t sound too bad. All I had to do was establish connection with Avraham David to make sure everything was all right. I called. He didn’t answer. But then again, he almost never answered. He kept his phone in the closet in his dorm-room and would check it every few days to see what calls he had missed. When I would try calling him, he was likely to call back two or three days later to ask, “Ima, were you looking for me?”

His not answering was no reason to worry. But it also wasn’t reassurance that everything was all right. I tried calling his friend and study partner, Segev Avichail, who kept his phone available and was happy to answer when we were looking for Avraham David. Segev didn’t answer either. I thought, surely the boys must have the good sense to go get their phones and call home. I waited a few minutes and tried Avraham David’s number again. Still nothing.

Covid is Killing Our Gedoilim As It Claims Yet Another Victim HaRav Chaim Meir Wosner, Z’TL

HaGaon HaRav Chaim Meir Wosner, z’tl, Av Beis Din of Zichron Meir in Bnei Brak, was niftar on Sunday at the age of 82 after being hospitalized in serious condition for the past two weeks in Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital due to the coronavirus.

When the bitter news arrived, the paroches in Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin in Bnei Brak was removed, where the Rosh Yeshivah was marbitz Torah and yiras Shamayim for many years.

The niftar was born in Vienna, Austria to his father, the Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Shmuel HaLevi Wosner, z’tl, the Ba’al Shevet Levi.

As a toddler, HaRav Chaim Meir’s parents escaped the Nazis to Eretz Yisrael prior to World War Ill and he was separated from them for six years. HaRav Chaim Meir stayed with his maternal grandparents and B’Chasdei Hashem survived the Holocaust with the help of Chassidei Umas HaOlam. When he was eight, he reached Eretz Yisrael via Czechoslovakia and was finally reunited with his parents.

As a bochur, HaRav Chaim Meir learned most of his Torah from his revered father, z’tl. As an adult, his father appointed him to serve as the Rosh Mesivta in Chachmei Lublin in the Zichron Meir neighborhood of Bnei Brak. Later, he moved to London, where he served as the Rav of the Kehillas Yeitav Lev -Satmarin London for 18 years and authored Shailos U’Teshuvos Simchas HaLevi.

Six years before the Shevet Halevi, z’tl, was niftar, he instructed HaRav Chaim Meir to move back to Bnei Brak, laying the ground for him to take over as Rosh Yeshivah of Chachmei Lublin and serve as the leader of the community.

In the Shevet HaLevi’s last years, he made it known that he wants HaRav Chaim Meir, who was known as a tremendous Talmid Chacham and Posek, to be his successor.

During the levaya for the Shevet HaLevi, z’tl, HaRav Chaim Meir was appointed as Av Beis Din, Rosh Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin and the Rav of Zichron Meir.

HaRav Chaim Meir, z’tl, left behind 13 children. His oldest son, HaRav Yosef Binyamin served as the Rosh Yeshivah of Chachmei Lublin alongside his father.

His son HaRav Akiva serves as a Moreh Tzedek of the Eidah Chareidis in Yerushalayim, HaRav Aharon serves as the Moreh Tzedek in the Beis Din Netivot Chaim and as the Rosh Kollel Shearis Yosef, HaRav Mordechai Zeev serves as the Rav of Khal Machzeh Avraham in New York, HaRav Moshe Shimon, serves as a Rav in Chateau Park in Lakewood, and HaRav Yisrael is the Mintzker Rebbe in New York.

Ira Rosen's New Book details 'Two-faced' Diane Sawyer, 'lazy' Katie Couric and Mike Rather the Pervert, & 'entitled' Chris Cuomo:

A former TV producer is spilling secrets about America's most famous news anchors in an explosive new memoir.

Ira Rosen, who has worked at 60 Minutes and 20/20 over the span of four decades, makes several scathing assessments in his tome Ticking Clock, set for release on February 16.

Rosen brands Diane Sawyer as 'two-faced', Katie Couric as 'lazy' and 'Chris Cuomo as 'entitled' in excerpts of the book obtained by The New York Post.

The Emmy Award winning producer also reveals a secret rivalry between Sawyer and her female co-anchor Barbara Walters, as well as a bitter yearlong feud between father and son newsmen Mike and Chris Wallace.

Rosen began his career in the TV news business back in 1980 when he landed a job at 60 Minutes.

There, he began a fractious long-term professional partnership with co-anchor Mike Wallace.

Wallace was regarded as one of the top TV journalists in the world, but Rosen claims that the anchor 'seemed to define his life by how much trouble he could cause'.

According to The Post, Wallace 'was notorious for his 'Neanderthal behavior' toward women, snapping their bra straps and slapping their bottoms.'

Rosen writes that one female produced even smacked Wallace across the face after an alleged advance.

Craziness behind those smiles!

Meanwhile, Wallace reportedly relished picking fights with his co-workers, regularly stealing stories from fellow anchors Ed Bradley and Morley Safer.

'Months would go by in which Safer would not speak to Wallace, even though their offices were next door to each other,' Rosen writes.

Federal filings show Rep. Ilhan Omar's 2020 campaign made up nearly 80% of payments to her husband's consulting firm

Federal Election Commission filings reveal payments from Rep. Ilhan Omar's campaign made up the vast majority of money her husband's consulting firm earned during the 2020 election cycle.

E Street Group, which is partially owned by Omar's husband, Tim Mynett, drew in $2.9 million from Rep. Omar's 2020 campaign and $3.7 million in total political spending from other candidates.

Between January 2019 and November 2020, Omar's campaign contributed 78 percent of the total campaign funds received by the E Street Group.

According to Fox News, Omar promised not to have further ties with E Street Group in mid-November - payments in the FEC filings were made before then.

'Every dollar that was spent went to a team of more than 20 that were helping us fight back against attacks and organize on the ground and online in a COVID-19 world,' Omar wrote in a campaign email.

'And Tim -- beyond his salary at the firm -- received no profit whatsoever from the consulting relationship the firm provided.'

Prior to that, however, Omar pushed back against the idea of cutting ties with the E Street Group, despite the potential optics of impropriety.

Trump's lawyer David Schoen asks for the trial to be paused if it runs into the Sabbath - throwing its timeline into uncertainty

Donald Trump's impeachment lawyer David Schoen has asked for the trial to be paused if it runs into the Sabbath because he is an observant Jew, in a move that could throw the timeline into uncertainty.

Schoen, sent a letter to Senate leaders requesting the trial be put on hold past sundown on Friday through Saturday, according to the New York Times

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's office, who is also Jewish, said the Senate will 'accommodate' Schoen's request.

However a pause could string the impeachment trial out longer than is in the interests of both parties.

Both sides want a speedy trial with the Democrats almost certain not to get a conviction and keen to prevent further delays to the Biden administration's plans, while Republicans opposed the trial going ahead at all now Trump is no longer in office.

Schoen, who is heading up Trump's legal team, said this week he will argue the ex-president was not responsible for the MAGA mob riot that left five - including a Capitol cop - dead.

Schoen wrote the letter to Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Democratic Senator Patrick J. Leahy, the president pro tempore of the Senate who will preside over next week's trial asking that the Sabbath be observed when the trial starts Tuesday.

'I apologize for the inconvenience my request that impeachment proceedings not be conducted during the Jewish Sabbath undoubtedly will cause other people involved in the proceedings,' he wrote.

'The practices and prohibitions are mandatory for me, however; so, respectfully, I have no choice but to make this request.'

The Sabbath runs from sundown at 5:24 pm Friday until 6:25 pm on Saturday, with observant Jews prohibited from working during this time.

Schoen suggested that if the trial has not concluded by sundown Friday, it could resume again on Sunday once the Sabbath is over.

This Deadly Tragedy at a Yiddish Performance is the Reason it’s Illegal to Yell ‘fire!’ in a Crowded Theater

Yiddish theater members, from right, Jacob Adler, Zigmund Feinman, Zigmund Mogulesko, Rudolf Marx, Mr. Krastoshinsky and David Kessler in 1888.

by Henry Abramson

Former President Trump’s impeachment defense team intends to argue that his infamous Jan. 6 speech, in which he exhorted his followers to “fight like hell” and march “to the Capitol,” was permitted by his First Amendment rights to free speech. Political opponents are already calling reference to the well-known Supreme Court decision (Schenck v. United States, 1919) that limits free speech to exclude harmful expressions — such as, most famously, falsely yelling “fire!” in a crowded theater.

Democrats like Pelosi and Schumer have encouraged incitement as well.

The phrase is not theoretical: It was drawn from a tragedy that occurred on a cold night in January 1887 at the Hebrew Dramatic Club of London and took the lives of 17 people.

Shloimie Wediger "Agudah Big-Shot" On the Way to the Super Bowl ..but didn't Eat Cholent in shul

Under normal circumstances, Sol Werdiger, founder and CEO of Outerstuff — the popular youth sports apparel manufacturer — is a gregarious presence on Super Bowl weekends. He has attended every championship game of the National Football League for more than two decades — and he has always used the occasion to connect with local Jewish community members who can look forward to a festive Shabbat meal as much as the rowdy big game on Sunday.

“We try to take advantage of it and turn it into a full Shabbat experience,” Werdiger, the chairman of Agudath Israel’s board of trustees, said in an interview with Jewish Insider on Thursday. “We’re a frum family and we’re in the sports business — and we’ve been going to the Super Bowl now for almost 25 years.”

But as Werdiger headed down to Tampa on Friday for what will be the 55th Super Bowl — a highly anticipated matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — he has no plans for any such revelry due to the pandemic. “This year we’re not going to make our own minyan,” he said. “I’m going to walk to the local Chabad.”

“Instead of having a full kosher catered event at the arena itself, I’m sure we’ll be eating in our hotel rooms before we go and when we get back,” Werdiger added, noting that his sons and some grandchildren will be flying in only for the game. His wife, who normally tags along to help, is staying home. “Most of the people that I normally go with are not going,” Werdiger said. “It’s going to be a little bit different this year.”

Crazy & Dangerous Biden Says ‘Erratic’ Trump Shouldn’t Get Intel Briefings

"Trump cant be trusted with intel breifings" yet Trump hasn’t started a single war and brought more peace to the middle east.

Joe Biden said Friday that Donald Trump’s “erratic behavior” should prevent him from receiving classified intelligence briefings, a courtesy that historically has been granted to outgoing presidents.

Asked in an interview with CBS News what he feared if Trump continued to receive the briefings, Biden said he did not want to “speculate out loud” but made clear he did not want Trump to continue getting them.

“I just think that there is no need for him to have the intelligence briefings,” Biden said. “What value is giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all, other than the fact he might slip and say something?”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said earlier this week that the issue of granting Trump intelligence briefings was “something that is under review.”

Some Democratic lawmakers, and even some former Trump administration officials, have questioned the wisdom of allowing Trump to continue to be briefed.

Susan Gordon, who served as the principal deputy director of national intelligence during the Trump administration from 2017 to 2019, in a Washington Post op-ed last month urged Biden to cut off Trump.

“His post-White House ‘security profile,’ as the professionals like to call it, is daunting,” Gordon wrote days after a pro-Trump mob laid siege to the U.S. Capitol as lawmakers sought to certify his defeat in last November’s election. “Any former president is by definition a target and presents some risks. But a former president Trump, even before the events of last week, might be unusually vulnerable to bad actors with ill intent.”

Whether to give a past president intelligence briefings is solely the current officeholder’s prerogative. Biden voiced his opposition to giving Trump access to briefings as the former president’s second impeachment trial is set to begin next week.

Biden, however, said Friday that his hesitance to allow Trump access to the briefing was due to the former president’s “erratic behavior unrelated to the insurrection.”

Gordon also raised concerns about Trump’s business entanglements. The real estate tycoon saw his business founder during his four years in Washington and is weighed down by significant debt, reportedly about $400 million. Trump during the campaign called his debt load a “peanut” and said he did not owe any money to Russia.

“Trump has significant business entanglements that involve foreign entities,” Gordon wrote. “Many of these current business relationships are in parts of the world that are vulnerable to intelligence services from other nation-states.”

Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, also urged Biden to cut off briefings for Trump.

“There’s no circumstance in which this president should get another intelligence briefing,” Schiff said shortly before Trump ended his term last month. “I don’t think he can be trusted with it now, and in the future.”
