Palestinian leadership said to be placing its bets on Biden victory in November 3 presidential election

The Palestinian Authority (PA) maintains contacts with Democratic contender Joe Biden's campaign in the 2020 race for the White House, The Media Line reported on Sunday.

The outlet cited two senior PA sources as saying there are direct communication lines between Ramallah and the Biden camp.

Those were reportedly established with the help of a Palestinian-American businessman.

Stressing the importance of these channels for the PA leaders, one of the sources told the agency: “We want to let Mr Biden know that we are willing and ready to talk.”

The PA's relations with the administration of US President Donald Trump quickly went sour as the US leader recognized Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and moved the US embassy there from Tel Aviv.

The Palestinians proclaimed that under Trump, the US can no longer be viewed as a fair broker in the conflict and refused to consider Trump's peace plan, dubbed Peace to Prosperity.

As the November 3 presidential vote approaches, the Palestinian leadership has placed its bet on a Biden victory.

As the vice president in the administration of President Barack Obama, which saw US-Israel ties hit lows in its final years, Biden is perceived by the PA as someone who would quickly change the US approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and reinvigorate the two-state solution.

The Left Promises To Revolt If Trump Wins

 

 Democrats want you to be worried about voter intimidation. They also want you to know that they will not be going gently into that good election night if President Trump wins again.

It seems like threats of “creating serious disruption,” as one Resistance group expressed plans to do if Trump wins, might be a worrisome voter intimidation tactic. (If someone told me he would bring mass chaos to the streets if I voted for a particular candidate, I’d feel intimidated.) 

But the media and Twitter establishments are a lot more interested in a narrative where voter intimidation comes from the right.

Much was made of emails circulating, allegedly from the extremist group “Proud Boys,” threatening to “come after” people unless they cast their votes for Trump.

The Proud Boys denied sending the emails, and government officials eventually deemed the emails to be from Iranian hackers. John Ratcliffe, U.S. director of national intelligence, suggested that the emails may have been actually a plot to “damage President Trump,” possibly by associating him with the Proud Boys or with voter intimidation tactics. 

Still, the “right-wing voter intimidation” narrative continued.

Orthodox rabbis urge Trump to pardon Jewish comedian

 

Ari Teman, a Jewish standup comic who once won a national contest seeking a “Jewish community hero” has united an array of Orthodox rabbis with leading standup comics in an appeal to President Trump to pardon him for bank fraud.

Teman has compiled a video to be launched on social media next week with more than 60 people saying “Mr. President, please pardon Ari Teman.”

A jury found him guilty in January; Teman says his accusers perjured themselves and that federal prosecutors withheld evidence. His lawyers have asked the judge to vacate the decision. He faces sentencing in December.

Among those making the appeal are a number of Chabad rabbis; Rabbi Steven Pruzansky, who has held senior positions in the Rabbinical Council of America; Brian Kiley, a longtime staff writer for Conan O’Brien; and Dan Naturman, a comic who has made numerous appearances on late-night TV. His parents close the video saying, “Mr. President, please pardon our son, Ari Teman.”

Alan Dershowitz, the famed constitutional lawyer, is on Teman’s team.

Teman straddles multiple worlds, working comedy clubs and volunteering with Chabad. He invented an artificial intelligence security system that he markets. Teman withdrew funds from the accounts of landlords who were using the security system. He says he was authorized to withdraw the funds. The landlords in court testimony said they did not anticipate the withdrawals but they acknowledged they did not fully read the terms of the contract.

In 2009, he won the Jewish Federation of North America’s “Jewish Community Hero” award for a group he founded, JCorps, that matches young Jews with volunteer opportunities.

Increasingly, the “end point” of this ghoulish intellectual infection appears to be that the only “cure” America’s “systemic racism” is to “burn it down.” Today, in the possible election of Joe Biden, we will have a president who will not fight for the forces of good, as did Lincoln, but instead, will be fighting to instill a new Fascist plan of Wokeness that enslaves Americans in a tyranny worse than the regime of hate and evil that would have ensued had the enemy defeated and occupied America in WWII. Our only salvation from this regime of Woke is for President Trump to win re-election in the coming election.

Egged fined for refusal to allow scantily dressed girl to board bus

 The Tel Aviv District Court has issued a ruling demanding that the Egged Ta’avura bus company, a subsidiary of Egged, pay damages to Mor Simhi, a teenage girl who was told by a bus driver employed by the company that he did not allow her to board due to her immodest manner of dress.

The driver, Yuval Avital, defines himself as religious, and was working on the route between Jerusalem and Kochav Yaakov, a national-religious community, when the incident occurred.

According to a report in Kikar Hashabbat, when the girl approached the bus, Avital refused to allow her to board, telling her, “You’re not getting on [dressed] like that.” The next day, as the girl got on the same bus, she asked the driver why he had refused to allow her to board the day before.

“You were wearing the shortest pants in the world,” he told her.

In his defense, the driver told the Court that he only asked the girl not to board, and when she complied, he understood that she did so in order to respect his beliefs as a religious man.

However, Justice Kochava Levy accepted the version of events provided by the girl, and added that a bus driver was not entitled to impose his personal views on travelers – he must only provide a service to them without discrimination.

The judge then ruled that Egged Ta’avura, which she claimed had tried to influence the proceedings, should compensate the girl to the sum of NIS 120,000.

You recently published a "Statement of Agudath Israel of America on Haredi Principles." When I read your statement, I was shaken to the core. This statement both profoundly saddens me and frightens me.

Your statement saddens me because, as a G-d-fearing Torah Jew, it is my belief that we must conduct ourselves in a way that would bring Nachat Ruach to our Creator. Of course, this means keeping the Mitzvoth of the Torah. Central to these commandments is VeAhavta L'Rayecha Kamocha, love your fellow as you love yourself. As Hillel HaZaken stated, "This is Torah. Trump caravans snarl traffic on Garden State Parkway

Two caravans of President Trump supporters wreaked havoc on the Garden State Parkway and the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge on Sunday — creating traffic jams by stopping their cars and exiting the vehicles on the major motorways.

In New Jersey, the demonstrators in cars, SUVs and pickup trucks honked their horns and waved pro-Trump flags, according to video posted to Twitter by Yeshiva World News.

“Yeah — woo!” a man filming the video can be heard saying. “We shut it down, baby. We shut it down.”

The caravan was at a complete standstill, with some people standing atop their cars, the video shows.

A similar scene played out in New York on the bridge connecting Nyack and Tarrytown.

Video shot by FNTV shows Trump supporters either idling in their cars or standing on the bridge to chants of “USA, USA, USA.”

New York state Sen. David Carlucci, whose district covers Nyack, slammed the caravan and called on state police to charge those involved.

“What was seen in New York was aggressive, dangerous, and reckless behavior by some Trump supporters,” Carlucci said in a statement posted to Twitter.

Belgian Gov’t Allows Only 4 People at A Wedding

 Due to Belgium’s surging coronavirus infection rate and its current status as the worst-hit country in the European Union, the government decided over the weekend to allow only four people at gatherings, including in shuls and at weddings.

Leaders of the frum community have been attempting to influence the government to increase the number of participants to ten but to no avail as of yet, B’Chadrei Chareidim reported.

An askan in Antwerp told B’Chadrei that the problem is that the government categorizes shuls with churches and mosques. Four people are sufficient for churches and mosques: the priest or muezzin, a photographer and two technicians who take care of the live broadcast.

The askan said that the new regulation is also wreaking havoc on families who have weddings planned.

“The comparison between Jews and other religions is the problem because as much as we explain the difference, they simply don’t understand what the problem is with davening alone or getting married via Zoom,” the askan said. “They tell us to delay weddings which isn’t always possible. We don’t know what will be.”

First vaccine recipient: I feel great

Segev Harel, the first volunteer to receive the Israeli-developed coronavirus vaccine, stated that he "feels great" after receiving the vaccine at Sheba hospital Sunday.

"I feel great, thanks for the interest, two hours have passed and I do not feel any special symptoms, I feel great, and I'm joking with the medical staff here," Harel said.

Harel added, "I really want to thank all the doctors and nurses who have been with me since this morning and give me the most wonderful feeling possible. It's really great fun."

On the risk he took in being the first person to test a new medicine, Harel said, "Like anything in life that has a risk, you have to look at the profit, I was a soldier and I know what it is to take a risk. The profit that can come out of here today is hope for an Israeli vaccine and I think it's worth it."

Harel later stated that he agreed to volunteer for the vaccine also due to the fact that he is 26 years old, healthy and single.

They were all dead before they knew what happened:' U.S. citizen, 27, kidnapped in Niger is rescued by SEAL team 6 in a high-risk raid in which six of his captors were killed

 

A U.S. citizen kidnapped at gunpoint in the West African nation of Niger this past week has been rescued in a dramatic U.S. military operation in neighboring Nigeria, the defense department confirmed.

Philip Walton, 27, was taken from his farm in Massalata in southern Niger early Tuesday morning by kidnappers armed with AK-47 assault rifles who demanded a $1million ransom from the man's father.

The Defense Department confirmed on Saturday that the successful operation was undertaken by elite commandos from SEAL Team 6 in a daring early-morning raid after they tracked the kidnappers phones. 

According to ABC, all but one of the seven captors was killed in the mission, described as a 'precision' hostage rescue. 

'They were all dead before they knew what happened,' a source told the network.

President Trump tweeted out his praise as the news of the rescue broke. 'Big win for our very elite U.S. Special Forces today. Details to follow!' he wrote.   

In a statement released later, Trump said that the operation was undertaken on his direction and had rescued Walton within 96 hours of his kidnapping. 

'Securing the freedom of Americans held in captivity abroad has been a top national security priority of my administration,' he said. 

'We have rescued over 55 hostages and detainees in more than 24 countries. Today's operation should serve as a stark warning to terrorists and criminal thugs who mistakenly believe they can kidnap Americans with impunity, Trump added.  

The Defense Department added that no military personnel were injured in the operation and that it had been conducted with the aid of the Niger and Nigerian governments, in an effort to rescue Walton quickly before he could be moved. 

'We had to get him before any potential trade or sale,' one U.S. official told Fox News.

The son of the man expected by many to be America's next President abandoned a laptop containing a treasure trove of top-secret material, including his father's private emails and mobile phone numbers, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

In an astonishing lapse, Hunter Biden chose to protect his MacBook Pro computer – crammed with what an IT expert last night described as a 'national security nightmare' and 'classic blackmail material' – with a single, simple password: Hunter02.

Remarkably, the 50-year-old businessman and self-confessed drug addict took the machine to a back-street IT store in Delaware in April 2019 to get it repaired – yet never returned to collect it.

Its existence was revealed by the New York Post last month, but the staggering scale and sensitivity of its contents – easily accessible to a hacker with a modicum of skill – is only revealed for the first time today.

The material, none of which was encrypted or protected by anything as basic as two-factor authentication, includes:

• Joe Biden's personal mobile number and three private email addresses as well as the names of his Secret Service agents;
• Mobile numbers for former President Bill Clinton, his wife Hillary and almost every member of former President Barack Obama's cabinet; 
• A contact database of 1,500 people including actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, former Presidential candidate John Kerry and ex-FBI boss Louis Freeh; 
• Personal documents including Hunter's passport, driver's licence, social security card, credit cards and bank statements; 
• Details of Hunter's drug and sex problems, including $21,000 spent on one 'live cam' porn website and 'selfies' of him engaging in sex acts and smoking crack cocaine; 

While Hunter has been accused of using his family name to help with deals with Ukrainian and Chinese firms, there is nothing on the laptop to implicate Joe Biden in any wrongdoing.

Donald Trump set to win US presidency by electoral college landslide

 

DONALD TRUMP is on course to win four more years in the White House with a one point lead in the popular win, the final Democracy Institute poll for the Sunday Express has found.

The last Democracy Institute/Sunday Express poll gave the US President a two point lead and landed just after he went into hospital with coronavirus.

Significantly, the President has, according to the latest findings, maintained a four point lead of 49 percent to 45 percent in the key swing states including Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

It means he is on course to easily win the electoral college by 326 to 212 votes against his Democrat rival in a result which would shock the world even more than his astonishing defeat of Hilary Clinton in 2016.

The Democracy Institute/Sunday Express poll has throughout the campaign been one of the few to predict a Trump victory since March. 

This is because unlike other polls it only looks at people identifying as likely voters instead of just registered to vote and it has tried to identify the shy Trump vote.

According to this latest poll almost eight in ten (79 percent) of Trump supporters would not admit it to friends and family compared to 21 percent of Biden supporters.

With the race hotting up in the final days allegations that Mr Biden and his family are corrupt surrounding claims about his son Hunter’s business dealings with China and the Ukraine using family connections appear to have had cut through.

There was controversy when social media platforms including Twitter apparently attempted to filter out the stories surrounding Hunter Biden published by the New York Post.

But the row has, according to the poll, only helped to put the issue in the public consciousness more.

Asked who they thought was telling the truth about the Biden family allegations 57 percent chose businessman and former Biden associate Tony Bobulinski who has levelled accusations against the former vice President.

Meanwhile, 52 percent agreed that Mr Biden is “a corrupt politician” with 21 percent saying they are less likely to vote for him and 75 percent saying it makes no difference.

Asked if the allegations made him a national security risk, 54 percent agreed that it did.

The US President’s job approval rating it now at 52 percent which, according to the Democracy Institute director Patrick Basham, is now at “normal levels” to expect to be reelected.

And even after the Black Lives Matter protests, almost four in ten black voters approve of his presidency and 21 percent are prepared to vote for him.

Mr Trump’s two strongest issues among voters are still ranked the most important - the economy and law and order - both at 29 percent.

In comparison coronavirus, where the President’s approval rating is not as high, is fourth on 20 percent as the most important issue.

According to the findings 61 percent think Mr Trump will be better for the economy but only 45 percent approve of his handling of coronavirus while 49 percent disapprove.

Meanwhile, Mr Biden still comes a distant third when asked about who has had the most positive impact on the criminal justice system with 14 percent behind both Mr Trump and the celebrity Kim Kardashian both on 43 percent.

Mr Basham said: “Our final Democracy Institute poll shows President Donald Trump, the Republican standard bearer, holding a razor thin one-point national lead over his Democratic rival, former Vice President Joe Biden. This is a statistical tie that falls firmly within the poll’s margin of error.

“The election will not be decided by the popular vote, of course; instead, it will be decided within the battleground states located primarily in the nation’s Midwest and Sunbelt regions.

“The Republican’s vote is a very efficient one, as it was in 2016. This is the president’s Trump card.

“Trump’s voters are more evenly dispersed across the country than are Biden’s.

“Biden’s comparatively inefficient vote is likely to mirror Hillary Clinton’s from four years ago. Biden will do incredibly well in the heavily populated states of California, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York. In these states, and in others reliably painted a deep Democratic blue, he will rack up enormous margins of victory over Trump, providing him with the potential to score a national popular vote victory, yet probably depriving him of sufficient votes in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and Florida to turn Trump into a one-term president.”
