Toronto Woman Arrested After Video Shows Her Throwing Chairs Off 45 Story Skyscraper

A 19-year-old woman turned herself into police on Wednesday to face charges of allegedly throwing two chairs off a 45th story balcony along a busy downtown Toronto street. The incident shown in an online video has sparked widespread outrage.
Det. Todd Higo said Marcella Zoia turned herself and would appear in court later Wednesday. A widely viewed video shot from the apartment balcony shows a woman throwing one of the chairs, which plummets to the street below.
After receiving tips from the public, police identified her and asked her to turn herself in.
Zoia is charged with mischief endangering life, mischief endangering property and common nuisance.
The chairs landed near the front entrance of the towering condo, but there were no reports of injuries.
Constable David Hopkinson said the apartment was being used as a short-term rental.
“I just hope that people take from the example the consequences that will befall this woman. This is irresponsible behavior that is unacceptable,” Toronto Mayor John Tory said.
“It was not just a lark gone bad. It was grossly irresponsible behavior that could have caused serious injury and death.”

What Happened to the Viznitzer Knesset Member Menachem Mozes??

United Torah Judaism (Yahadut HaTorah - UTJ) is a coalition of two frum parties, Agudat Yisrael and Degel HaTorah.

In the 2009 elections, UTJ won six Knesset seats of which R'  Menachem Eliezer Mozes, a Viznitzer Chasid  was appointed and put on the UJT ticket by the Late Viznitzer Rebbe.
This deal was worked out between the Viznitz, Gur and Belzer Rebbis...

So he is a member of the Knesset for 10 years...

Usually when one serves for 10 years anywhere with distinction, there is a smooth transition and the "keys" so to speak are handed over to the newly appointed guy with a ceremony, and they throw the old guy a banquet and everyone makes speeches etc etc ...

Also he was elected by the people, and normally, when people elect you, you stay in office until they elect another guy instead!

Not in Viznitz ......... nope....
Especially now that there is a new King! A new Rebbe.
 ויקם מלך חדש
אשר לא ידע את מנחם אליעזר
Once you no longer have the confidence of the Rebbe, or you run out of grace in this case the Viznitzer Rebbe, they throw you out unceremoniously on your proverbial ass without any explanations.
R' Menachem Eliezer Mozes is now missing in action and no one knows where he is hiding!

The last time something was done like this, was in the Telz Stone elections ...(I won't bore you with the details) ...and the poor guy that was removed suddenly without explanation, had a massive heart attack...

But I think I have the answer why they dumped him ..........

His daughter, Heidi Mozes  is a Feminist... and is a powerful member of the Likud Party and is in the Knesset ...
If someone sees R' Menachem, tell him that DIN figured it all out .....
But so far no one has seen him and I hope he is all right even though I was never on the same page as him in politics

Husband Claims He Is Now A “Woman” So He Can’t Give A Get

A Married couple recently came to the Haifa Rabbinical Court fighting over a divorce.

It turned out that one of them had undergone a gender-change operation.

They married as a normal husband and wife and raised their children together. When the husband was operated on a year ago, the couple separated. The wife could not move on and date and marry anyone else, because she was still halakhically married to her “husband” – who had not given her a get.

After hearing the unusual situation, the dayanim decided that it is sufficient reason for granting a get, and there is no need to insist on the usually mandatory conciliation counseling as it clearly would not lead to reconciliation. The court ordered the parties to begin the process of divorce.

The husband then claimed he could not grant a get because he is no longer a man but a woman, and a woman is unable to grant a get halachically.

The wife then requested an annulment of the marriage, but the judges said that would not be possible since she married a man who is still a man halakhically.

The judges decided that the husband had to give a get and if he did not, would be considered a get refuser and would be imprisoned as allowed by law.

The husband eventually agreed to give the get, but during the process recanted and explained that it was an emotional strain to be related to in the text of the get as a male, criticizing the court for ‘living in the Middle Ages’.

After being warned again about possibly ending up in jail, s/he agreed to complete the process and give the get.

Satmar Rebbe R' Zalman Leib..... Is Menachem Avel the Kraus Family on the "prohibited" Smartphone

Yes, the Israeli People Are Superior to Its Enemies

A condemnation of the assassination of Ori Ansbacher by a Palestinian Arab terrorist in Jerusalem is yet to come from:

-The European Union, always quick to condemn the construction of new Israeli houses in Judea and Samaria;

-The UN, always meeting in an emergency session when Israel kills a terrorist;

-The Western Media, always ready to make room for the terrorists who died on the Gaza border and the pin-up of the Intifada, Ahed Tamimi;

-Pope Francis, always distracted when Israel suffers a tragedy, is in terrible mourning;

-Abu Mazen and the “moderate Palestinians”, always generous in making money transfers to terrorists with European aid;

-The Islamic world, always ready to hide terrorists in their mosques;

-And let us not forget: The feminists, always looking for a femicide except when an Israeli girl is involved.

R' Don Yosef ibn Yichye a Rishon ... Predicted in 1538 ... That The Jews Will Return To Israel in the Year 1940

The Sefer Is Being Autioned Tues 2-19 Contact: moshe@genazym.com
I guess there was no Satmar in the 1500's ...  Jews during the 1500's dreamed of returning to Eretz Yisrael ... There were no mentions that Jews can only return when Moshiach comes and had no SHIT'as.... no ulterior motives, no politics ...  just pashut Torah ...

See below excerpt where R' Don Yosef ibn Yichye, (He was a Rishon)writes in his Sefer on Daniel:
"At the end of five thousand and seven hundred years to the creation of the world, perhaps a little before or a little afterwards, our time will come, with the help of G-d, so that Bnei Yisrael may dwell in their land..."

Rabbi Don Yosef dealt with calculations of the future, such as that of the coming redemption.
The precise wording of his calculations, in light of the circumstances that followed, are remarkably accurate.

That prediction 5700 would be approximately 1940..Just when the "Gedoilei Yisroel" were advising their followers not to make Aliyah!

In his introduction, Rabbi Don Yosef recounts how his mother fled Portugal to Italy while expectant with him in an attempt to flee apostasy. Upon her arrival in Pisa, Italy, she jumped off a roof in order to protect her modesty, and miraculously, both she and her unborn child survived.
She then made her way to Florence where she gave birth to Rabbi Don Yosef in 1495.
After some time, they moved near Bologna where Rabbi Don Yosef passed away in 1539.

Openly Anti-Semite Muslim Congresswoman Condemned by Chelsea Clinton and Nikki Haley

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., sparked backlash Sunday evening from members of both parties -- including former first daughter Chelsea Clinton -- after she accused a prominent lobbying group of paying members of Congress to support Israel.
Omar, who became the first Somali-American woman elected to Congress in November, responded to a Twitter post by journalist Glenn Greenwald criticizing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., for threatening to take action against Omar and another freshman lawmaker, Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., over allegedly anti-Semitic remarks.
"There’s situations in our conference where a member does something that is wrong — I think you’ve seen from my own actions that I take action about it," McCarthy told reporters Friday, making an apparent reference to Republican congressman Steve King of Iowa. "I think when they stay silent, they are just as guilty ... I think this will not be the end of this, and if they do not take action then I think you will see action from myself. It’s unacceptable in this country, especially when you sit back and think about and listen to what this country went through in World War II."

Jerry Simon, 84, Passes On ... The Simons Sponsored & Housed Holocaust Survivors!

by COL and DIN

R' Yitzchok Yaakov (Jerry) Simon, a long-time resident of the Crown Heights neighborhood who carried out charitable activities without much fanfare, passed away on Shabbos morning, 4 Adar I 5779.

In 1941, his parents sent him and his brother to learn in Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in New York. Their mother was ridiculed by her friends about sending her children to a Yeshiva. She nevertheless brought both sons to the Rebbe (then the Ramash) and said, "I leave you my entire belongings."

The two boys learned in the Yeshiva which was housed in temporary storefront locations. They continued once the Yeshiva moved to its famous location at the corner of Bedford and Dean in Brooklyn, learning Gemara and Chassidus.

After his marriage on Gimmel Tammuz, the couple was one of the early young Chabad couples to settle in the Crown Heights neighborhood and remained there even when many others moved out because of rising crime.

Jerry ran a kosher catering business and catered the Kinus Hashluchim, dinners of the Machne Israel Development Fund and for guests joining the Rebbe for the month of Tishrei.

He would secretly deliver food packages to local families and individuals in need. A widow once speaking about her hardships was told by the Rebbe, "Jerry nemt care" (Jerry will take care) of the food. On another occasion, the Rebbe commented that Jerry has a "good heart."

His charitable activities were done with a caring attitude and without expecting recognition or praise. He was also involved in supporting Keren Yisroel Aryeh Leib, a free-loan Gmach fund that assists families in Crown Heights.

His late Father and Mother sponsored many survivors that were in DP Camps in Germany. They then housed them in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and married off the orphan survivors.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sarah Malka Simon (nee Rosenblum), their children Mrs. Chana Etka Fefferman - Flatbush; Mrs. Tzirl Goldman - Crown Heights; Mrs. Aliza Scheinfeld - Crown Heights; Mrs. Nechama Dahan - Montreal, Canada; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother R' Motel Simon of Crown Heights.

The levaya will take place on Sunday at Shomrei Hadas at 1:00 PM and pass by 770 Eastern Parkway at 1:45 PM.

The family will be sitting Shiva at 391 Crown Street.
The family kindly requests no visitors past 10:00 PM.

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes.

Torah Vodaath's History of Taking in the Survivors of the Holocaust

Carl Laemmle Saved 300 hundred Jewish Families From the Flames of the Holocaust and Put Dracula On the Screen

After losing control of the movie studio that introduced audiences to Dracula and Frankenstein, Carl Laemmle had a vital final mission. Formerly the head of what is today Universal Pictures, Laemmle worked to save fellow Jews from Hitler in the 1930s, despite opposition from the US State Department.
By the time of his death in 1939, he had rescued over 300 Jewish families.

Laemmle’s life is the subject of a new documentary, “Carl Laemmle,”directed by James Freedman. It will be screened February 10 at both the San Diego International Jewish Film Festival and the Denver Jewish Film Festival before moving to Atlanta.
With its easily recognizable globe logo, the studio Laemmle founded has lived up to its name. (Its website lists it as the world’s fourth-oldest surviving studio.) But Laemmle is not as well remembered.
Calling Laemmle a “true American hero,” Freedman said, “I knew I just had to tell this great story and let the world know.”

Ori's Murdererer an Arab Arrested in a Ramallah Mosque!

The Shin Bet released new details regarding the gruesome murder of 19-year-old Ori Ansbacher in the Jerusalem forest last week.

According to the Shin Bet, 29 year-old Hevron native Arafat Afariah set out with a knife. When he saw Ansbacher in the Jerusalem Forest, he stabbed her multiple times in the chest and killed her.

The investigation is at its height and the majority of the details are under a gag order.
Ansbacher, a volunteer at a youth center in Jerusalem, had walked to the Jerusalem forest to be alone after an argument when she was murdered. Afariah was arrested on Saturday by Israeli special forces in a mosque in Al Bireh, a village near Ramallah.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said following Afariah's arrest that "I congratulate the Shin Bet security services and the Israel Police that within a few hours captured the abominable murderer who murdered Ori Ansbacher. Israel's long arm reaches anyone who harms us and we will settle accounts with them."
"In my name and on behalf of the people of Israel, I wish to express my condolences to the Ansbacher family and to strengthen them with their great grief."
