Obama will be the only person sticking to Iran deal

Sometime this week, President Obama is scheduled to sign an executive order to meet the Oct. 15 “adoption day” he has set for the nuclear deal he says he has made with Iran. According to the president’s timetable the next step would be “the start day of implementation,” fixed for Dec. 15.

But as things now stand, Obama may end up being the only person in the world to sign his much-wanted deal, in effect making a treaty with himself.

The Iranians have signed nothing and have no plans for doing so. The so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has not even been discussed at the Islamic Republic’s Council of Ministers. Nor has the Tehran government bothered to even provide an official Persian translation of the 159-page text.

The Islamic Majlis, the ersatz parliament, is examining an unofficial text and is due to express its views at an unspecified date in a document “running into more than 1,000 pages,” according to Mohsen Zakani, who heads the “examining committee.”

“The changes we seek would require substantial rewriting of the text,” he adds enigmatically.

Nor have Britain, China, Germany, France and Russia, who were involved in the so-called P5+1 talks that produced the JCPOA, deemed it necessary to provide the Obama “deal” with any legal basis of their own. Obama’s partners have simply decided that the deal he is promoting is really about lifting sanctions against Iran and nothing else.

So they have started doing just that without bothering about JCPOA’s other provisions. Britain has lifted the ban on 22 Iranian banks and companies blacklisted because of alleged involvement in deals linked to the nuclear issue.

German trade with Iran has risen by 33 percent, making it the Islamic Republic’s third-largest partner after China.

China has signed preliminary accords to help Iran build five more nuclear reactors. Russia has started delivering S300 anti-aircraft missile systems and is engaged in talks to sell Sukhoi planes to the Islamic Republic.

France has sent its foreign minister and a 100-man delegation to negotiate big business deals, including projects to double Iran’s crude oil exports.

Other nations have also interpreted JCPOA as a green light for dropping sanctions. Indian trade with Iran has risen by 17 percent, and New Delhi is negotiating massive investment in a rail-and-sea hub in the Iranian port of Chah-Bahar on the Gulf of Oman. With help from Austrian, Turkish and United Arab Emirates banks, the many banking restrictions imposed on Iran because of its nuclear program have been pushed aside.

“The structures of sanctions built over decades is crumbling,” boasts Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Meanwhile, the nuclear project is and shall remain “fully intact,” says the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency, Ali Akbar Salehi.

“We have started working on a process of nuclear fusion that will be cutting-edge technology for the next 50 years,” he adds.

Even before Obama’s “implementation day,” the mullahs are receiving an average of $400 million a month, no big sum, but enough to ease the regime’s cash-flow problems and increase pay for its repressive forces by around 21 percent.

Last month, Iran and the P5+1 created a joint commission to establish the modalities of implementation of an accord, a process they wish to complete by December 2017 when the first two-year review of JCPOA is scheduled to take place and when Obama will no longer be in the White House. (If things go awry Obama could always blame his successor or even George W Bush.)

Both Obama and his Secretary of State John Kerry have often claimed that, its obvious shortcomings notwithstanding, their nuke deal with the “moderate faction” in Tehran might encourage positive changes in Iran’s behavior.

That hasn’t happened.

The mullahs see the “deal” as a means with which Obama would oppose any suggestion of trying to curb Iran.

“Obama won’t do anything that might jeopardize the deal,” says Ziba Kalam, a Rouhani adviser. “This is his biggest, if not the only, foreign policy success.”

If there have been changes in Tehran’s behavior they have been for the worst. Iran has teamed up with Russia to keep Bashar al-Assad in power in Syria, mocking Obama’s “Assad must go” rhetoric. More importantly, Iran has built its direct military presence in Syria to 7,000 men. (One of Iran’s most senior generals was killed in Aleppo on Wednesday.)

Tehran has also pressured Iraqi Premier Haidar al-Abadi’s weak government to distance itself from Washington and join a dubious coalition with Iran, Russia and Syria.

Certain that Obama is paralyzed by his fear of undermining the non-existent “deal” the mullahs have intensified their backing for Houthi rebels in Yemen. Last week a delegation was in Tehran with a long shopping list for arms.

In Lebanon, the mullahs have toughened their stance on choosing the country’s next president. And in Bahrain, Tehran is working on a plan to “ensure an early victory” of the Shiite revolution in the archipelago.

Confident that Obama is determined to abandon traditional allies of the United States, Tehran has also heightened propaganda war against Saudi Arabia, now openly calling for the overthrow of the monarchy there.

The mullahs are also heightening contacts with Palestinian groups in the hope of unleashing a new “Intifada.”

“Palestine is thirsty for a third Intifada,” Supreme Guide Khamenei’s mouthpiece Kayhan said in an editorial last Thursday. “It is the duty of every Muslim to help start it as soon as possible.”

Obama’s hopes of engaging Iran on other issues were dashed last week when Khamenei declared “any dialogue with the American Great Satan” to be” forbidden.”

“We have no need of America” his adviser Ali-Akbar Velayati added later. “Iran is the region’s big power in its own right.”

Obama had hoped that by sucking up to the mullahs he would at least persuade them to moderate their “hate-America campaign.” Not a bit of that.

“Death to America” slogans, adoring official buildings in Tehran have been painted afresh along with US flags, painted at the entrance of offices so that they could be trampled underfoot. None of the US citizens still held hostages in Iran has been released, and one, Washington Post stringer Jason Rezai, is branded as “head of a spy ring “in Tehran. Paralyzed by his fear of undermining the non-existent deal, Obama doesn’t even call for their release.

Government-sponsored anti-American nationwide events are announced for November, anniversary of the seizure of the US Embassy in Tehran. The annual “End of America” week-long conference is planned for February and is to focus on “African-American victims of US police” and the possibility of “self-determination for blacks.”

According to official sources “families of Black American victims” and a number of “black American revolutionaries” have been invited.

Inside Iran, Obama’s “moderate partners” have doubled the number of executions and political prisoners. Last week they crushed marches by teachers calling for release of their leaders. Hundreds of trade unionists have been arrested and a new “anti-insurrection” brigade paraded in Tehran to terrorize possible protestors.

The Obama deal may end up as the biggest diplomatic scam in recent history.

Dear Family, Friends, Neighbors, and Complete Strangers Who Are Now Our Friends, AMUSH:

One of Yossi’s most passionately held ideals is Achdus. It’s a concept that he lives; a concept that he’s discussed with us countless times, particularly over recent weeks.Over the course of these harrowing days, thousands of people have shared our plight in the most personal way. Now that this episode has been so swiftly and miraculously resolved, we’d like to share some of the background behind the story.

These past few months have been difficult for Yossi on a personal level. The challenging life circumstances he’d been facing, coupled with the pain that he was exposed to in the lives of others, led to an emotional crisis. 

He set out of the house on Shmini Atzeres determined to visit and help a homeless friend who was alone for Yom Tov. This is the kind of caring that characterizes Yossi. We sent him off with food, and with hugs, and with the expectation that he would be home by Wednesday morning.

Tuesday night, when Yossi’s homeless friend called asking for him, we realized that something was very wrong. Yossi was lost and in potential grave danger. If he was ok, he would certainly have come home or called us. We were frightened and worried. 

With the help of Rabbi Boruch Ber Bender, we contacted the police and our friends in the community for help.

By Wednesday night, Yossi’s disappearance was made public. Hundreds of people combed the neighborhood for clues. 

On Thursday night, over 1,000 people came to search: Yossi’s Rebbeim and classmates, my own former students and their parents, relatives, friends, neighbors, colleagues, acquaintances, and total strangers. The diversity was astounding; the unity was overwhelming. They were out until 5:00 AM, with no results.

When dear friends told us about the Motzaei Shabbos Tehillim gathering that they planned to arrange at Yeshiva Darchei Torah on Yossi’s behalf, we were sure that nobody would come. After all, how could we expect anyone to extend themselves night after night, especially after Thursday’s incredible showing?

1200 people showed up at Darchei on Motzaei Shabbos. The building was filled to capacity, and still more people crowded together outside. 

As we listened in to the Tehillim from our home phone, friends sent us pictures of the scene: Jews of every stripe and Shul affiliation, praying together with fervor. Women in pants stood alongside women in Sheitels; Young Israel rabbis next to Agudah rabbis.

Forty minutes after the Tehillim gathering, incredibly, Yossi walked through the door, alive. He was lost and disoriented all this time, and was in dire need of help. 
Amazingly, in Manhattan, just as we were all saying Tehillim, an unknown man in a wheelchair put Yossi in a cab and sent him home. Chasdei Hashem!!

We share these thoughts at about 12:30 AM, only a couple of hours after Yossi’s return. We feel like we have to say something – we have to do something – right now. We have no words in our vocabulary to express the depth of gratitude that we have to the entire community, to the thousands of friends and community members who gave their time and their hearts. We wish we could hug every single person who went searching, who said Tehillim, who just texted us to let me know that they were concerned. Each and every one of you treated this crisis like your own, and our family is completely overcome with the depth of your caring.

To the thousand plus volunteers who tirelessly searched for Yossi: 
His safe return is in your merit. Those hours of upheaval were critical ones, and we have no doubt that your selfless determination and Mesiras Nefesh played a crucial role in keeping him safe. The police detective expressed admiration and amazement for our community. In his 18 years in the missing persons unit he has never seen anything remotely resembling the outpouring of support and help that was given us.

To the community organizations, leaders and elected officials who stood at our side during these trying times: 
Specifically to Achiezer and Rabbi Boruch Ber Bender we have no words; Shomrim; Hatzalah; the Nassau County Police Department; Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky; Councilman Bruce Blakeman and his assistant Anthony; Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder; and of course HaRav Mordechai Stern; ‘heartfelt appreciation’ is a pale shadow of the emotion that we feel.

Most of all, to the Ribono Shel Olam, who answered our Tefillos in the most obvious, astounding way, just 40 minutes after they were offered. Yossi had literally began his journey home minutes after we all united together in Tefillah. 

For us, the most incredible part of this entire episode is the remarkable Hashgacha in the fact that Yossi, a regular guy who was never on medication or ‘at risk’ in any way, merited a Yeshua just when he needed it, thanks to the Achdus that he always strives to promote.

Ashreichem Yisrael. Truly, there is no nation like ours – one nation, with one heart – exactly how Yossi wants us to be.

The biggest Zechus for us all would be to have this incredible sense of Achdus continue on in our community and in all of Klal Yisroel!

May we share in many Simchos together !

Yossi Gerson Missing For 6 Days Has Been Found

Bichasdei Hashem, Yossi Gerson who has been missing from Lawrence, NY since Shmini Atzeres, has been found. He is in good condition.

he family thanks the outpouring of support, Tefillos and the hundreds of volunteers who searched for the past few days.

Rashi: The Land of Israel and the Torah are Intertwined

 The very first words of the Torah in Parshat Bereishis are,
 "In the beginning Elokim created the heavens and the earth."

Rashi immediately jumps on the pasuk and brings down R. Yitzhak who says, "the Torah should have begun with 'this month shall be your first month,' it being the first Mitzvah Bnei Yisrael were commanded." 

The fact that the Torah began with the words, "In the beginning Elokim created" is to declare the power of G-d's works to his People in order to give to them the inheritance of the Nations. 

Thus should the nations of of the world say to Israel, "You are robbers, for you have taken by force the land of the seven nations," Israel can answer "all the earth belongs to G-d." He created it and gave it to us as an inheritance.

Rashi knew fully well that 1000 years after he had lived that the Land of Israel would once again come back to the Jewish People. He anticipated this happening 1000 years before it did. Clearly prophetic. He chose the very first words of the Torah to declare the land of Israel as the eternal inheritance of the Jewish People. 

Yes, the word "Bereishis" begs to be expounded upon. Rashi says that the world was created for the sake of Torah which is called "Reishis of his Way". 

The fact that Rashi makes these two points at the very beginning of the Torah highlights the importance of the Land of Israel as the Jewish People's eternal Homeland and the Torah its eternal Treasure. 

The remaining portion of the Five Books of Moses can now move forward. Rashi felt it essential to point out the two most critical issues right off the bat - Israel and Torah. Two inseparable aspects of the Jewish People.

The Maharal in his Gur Aryeh asks the question of why Rashi brings down R. Yitzhak connecting Mitzvos to the Land of Israel. 
What is the connection of Mitzvos to the Land?

 The Maharal answers that most Mitzvos in the Torah are dependent upon the Land of Israel. Therefore Rashi felt obligated to connect Torah and the Land of Israel at the outset. 

A famous Sifrei is brought down by the Ramban on Bereishis 26:5 ("Because Abraham obeyed my voice, and observed My Safeguards, My Commandments, My decrees and My Teachings") and quoted again by the Ramban in Vayikrah 18:25 and Devarim 11:18 which intimates that the Mitzvos are intrinsic to the Land of Israel. Although most would say that the performance of all Mitzvos have much more value performed in the Land of Israel compared to the Exile, this Sifrei seems to imply that the the only real place where Mitzvos can be performed properly is in Israel.

This Sifrei makes it more understandable why Rashi felt compelled to connect the Mitzvos/Torah with the Land of Israel in the very first pasuk of the Torah. They are intertwined and inseparable. May the Torah and Mitzvos flourish in the Land of Israel and the World over today like never before in our History.

Dear All,

After meeting with the Gerson family this morning, we would like to provide an authorized and accurate update of where things stand.

Last night the turnout for the search orchestrated by Shomrim and family friends had numbers beyond belief. There were long waits and even longer lines and we appreciate the incredible patience that everyone had.

Here are some facts:
More than 470 locations were searched by over 800 volunteers;
Over 115 hotel/motels were searched; nearly every park in the Queens, Long Island and Manhattan areas were searched;
Every single hospital in Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan was searched;

Additionally, subway stations, all LIRR stations and libraries were checked;

Yes, there were some leads that we are all hearing about but so far none of them have panned out reliably.
We understand that as Shabbos arrives options will be limited so we are launching one final effort today. Thousands of flyers are being printed as we speak. We are going to literally blanket several areas where Yossi was potentially seen with these flyers. 

These include areas in the Five Towns, Queens and Brooklyn/Crown Heights. Our hope is that with thousands upon thousands of flyers with Yossi’s face plastered around New York City, one person somewhere will ultimately help bring Yossi home safely. 

In addition, our NYPD liaison, Alex Wercberger, has arranged for every police precinct and police car in the Queens area, where Yossi was supposedly seen, to carry these flyers.

The latest Arab terror onslaught has been going on for eight days, with new attacks reported every few hours. Arutz Sheva provides its reader with a roundup of the major attacks. It should be noted that over 100 smaller-scale violent incidents are being reported daily.

Thursday, October 1:

Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin were gunned down in their car near Itamar, in Samaria. The young parents, who were in their thirties, were residents of Neria in Samaria. They were murdered in front of the eyes of their four children, aged four months, four years, 7 and 9, who were in the car at the time. 

A five man Hamas terror cell that carried out the attack was arrested several days later.

Rabbi Eitam's parents, who made aliyah from America, are Rabbanit Chana Henkin, founder of the Nishmat Institute for Advanced Jewish Studies for Women in Jerusalem and Rabbi Yehuda Henkin, known posek (halakhic decisor) and author of the four volume set of responsa, Bnai Banim.

Friday, October 2:

Israel Police and the IDF arrested Palestinian Arabs across Israel afterhundreds participated in violence against Israeli military forces and civilians. The riots took place at Rachel's Tomb in Beit Lehem (Bethlehem) Friday afternoon, where Arabs threw rocks, firebombs and burning tires at the Jewish holy site, in Hevron, and near Beit El, in the Binyamin region.

Police arrested a 25 year-old from Shuafat in Jerusalem for attempting a terror attack on a Border Police officer in the Old City. The suspect tried to throw firebombs at civilians.

In the coastal town of Lod, Arab gunfire wounded a five-year-old child, Maoz Shiloh, as he sat in a sukkah. The bullet caused a fracture to the young boy's skull, and he was admitted to intensive care following a complicated surgery.

A 16-year-old girl who slept in her family's sukkah in Kokhav Ya'akov in the Binyamin region of Samaria was lightly wounded in the lower body, by a bullet which was fired from a nearby Arab village. 

Saturday, October 3:

Rabbi Nehemia Lavi, 41, and Aharon Banita Bennett, 21, were murdered in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem's Old City. Bennett, along with his wife and two-year-old son, were attacked by the terrorist; his wife was seriously wounded and the child lightly wounded. Rabbi Lavi, a father of seven, went out of his home with his gun to try and save Bennett and his family, but the terrorist stabbed him and took his weapon. Arab onlookerslaughed, spat and kicked Bennett's wife, who had a knife stuck in her shoulder and tried to get help.

A 15-year-old Jewish teen was stabbed at a gas station near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City. He was listed in moderate-to-serious condition after being stabbed in the upper body. The attacker who fled the scene was shot dead by security forces.

Sunday, October 4:

Shortly after 11:00 PM, two rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel. The first one missed the target and exploded on the Gazan side of the border. A second rocket exploded in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no physical injuries or damages.

A terrorist threw a firebomb at security forces at the Tomb 

of Rachel outside Bethlehem. A Border Guard officer was injured in that attack.

Tuesday, October 5:

A 16-month-old baby was lightly wounded when Arab terrorists threw rocks at a car on Highway 60 near Ma'ale Levona in Samaria. Both she and her mother, 32, were brought a local hospital for treatment, though both are stable and fully conscious.

Wednesday, October 7:

A female Arab terrorist stabbed and moderately wounded a Jewish man, aged 36, at the Lion's Gate in the Old City, on the eastern side of the Temple Mount. The man shot the terrorist, who is in serious condition. The stabber sneaked up from behind the man and stabbed him near the neck. He turned around and shot her in self defense. She tried to run away but nearby Border Police gave chase, pounced on her and neutralized her.

An Arab mob ambushed a female Jewish motorist with rocks, then proceeded to kick her and try and wrest her from the car. The woman, 38-year-old Tekoa resident Rivi Lev-Ohayon, was left wounded by rocks and kicks to her entire body, but managed to escape after other Jewish motorists intervened, with one allegedly shooting and injuring one of her attackers.

Woman injured at Beit Sahour Gush Etzion Council

An Arab terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier and tried to steal his gun in Kiryat Gat. The Arab terrorist arrived in Kiryat Gat on a bus, spotted the soldier and stole his weapon. The soldier fought to regain his gun, at which point he was stabbed in his head. He suffered moderate injuries. Police reached the scene within minutes, and rushed into a building to which the terrorist had escaped. They opened fire and eliminated him after he fired at them.

An Arab terrorist injured at least one person in a knife attack on passersby outside Petah Tikvah's central mall close to Beilinson Hospital. The attacker drew his knife and ran towards a crowd of civilians as he and his victim left the city's #1 bus, and succeeded in stabbing at least one of them before security guards opened fire in his direction, and succeeded in overpowering him. 

Thursday, October 8:
A female soldier and four civilians were stabbed and lightly wounded by a terrorist in central Tel Aviv's Begin Street. An Air Force soldier and policemen who were at the scene chased after the terrorist to nearby Mozes street, where they shot and killed him. Magen David Adom teams evacuated the soldier, 20, to hospital, along with a woman aged about 60, a man aged about 40 and another woman aged about 40. They are all conscious and were stabbed in the upper body. A fifth victim was also reported.

An Arab terrorist stabbed a 25-year-old Jewish man in Kiryat Arba, in Judea. The victim was seriously wounded with stab wounds to his back, in an attack that took place at the western gate of the town, which opens on to the Arab majority city of Hevron. Medical teams began treating the victim, who apparently is a resident of Kiryat Arba, and after initialtreatment, they evacuated him to Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem. 

A 25-year-old yeshiva student was seriously injured and another man lightly injured in a terror attack at the Jerusalem Light Rail station in front of national police headquarters near Ammunition Hill. Magen David Adom teams on scene at Haim Bar Lev Road treated the seriously injured man and brought him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he arrived in critical condition, was subsequently sedated and was breathing through a respirator. 

An initial police investigation revealed the terrorist, 19-year-old Subhi Abu Halifa from Shuafat in eastern Jerusalem, approached the light rail station, stabbed the haredi student in the neck with a knife and tried to escape. 

As he fled, Abu Halifa passed a light rail guard, who he attacked in an attempt to steal his weapon. Police SWAT forces chased after the terrorist, arresting him with the assistance of police reinforcements on the scene.

A Jewish man in his twenties was stabbed and moderately wounded in an Arab terror attack in the northern city of Afula. The young victim was attacked on Arlozorov Street. Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah crews were called to the scene and provided medical treatment, afterwards evacuating him to Haemek Hospital in the city. Initial reports indicate that the terrorist was apprehended by civilians who happened to be passing by at the time, and then arrested by police.

Our dear Yossi has vanished without a trace and we are asking and begging everyone everywhere to be our eyes and ears in the hopes that somebody has seen something. Yossi needs to be found quickly so he can get the proper medical care from his doctors and resume what had been a wonderful and successful medical school path.

We ask you to respect the privacy of our family during this difficult time and we continue to have endless thanks to the hundreds of incredible heroes who continue to do everything they can to bring our Yossi home safely.

US State Dept. Can't Explain Israel Double-Standards .. priceless!

State Dept. official left speechless when questioned why US army doesn't live up to the high standards it sets for Israeli forces.

During last year's Operation Protective Edge, during which the IDF battled Islamist terrorists in Gaza to put an end to the threat of rocket fire and terrorist infiltration tunnels targeting its citizens, Israel faced the usual tide of criticism for its use of force despite unprecedented measures to limit civilian casualties. 

 Among the critics was none other than the US State Department, which issued a remarkably harsh condemnation of Israel after one particular exchange with terrorists resulted in a stray shell hitting a UN school close to where terrorist gunmen were operating. 

 Despite it being unclear precisely who was responsible, or what the precise circumstances were, the State Department immediately rushed to accept Hamas's version of events in the following statement: 
 "The United States is appalled by today’s disgraceful shelling outside an UNRWA school in Rafah sheltering some 3,000 displaced persons, in which at least ten more Palestinian civilians were tragically killed... "The suspicion that militants are operating nearby does not justify strikes that put at risk the lives of so many innocent civilians. We call for a full and prompt investigation of this incident as well as the recent shelling of other UNRWA schools." 

 The State Dept. accused the Israeli army of ignoring coordinates of the school sent "repeatedly" to its forces, and called on Israel to "meet its own standards and avoid civilian casualties." 

 But it appears now that even the US is unable to meet those "standards"; on Sunday, a US airstrike in Afghanistan struck a hospital, killing at least 22 civilians. 

 Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) branded the airstrike a "war crime." 

 Associated Press journalist Matt Lee challenged US State Dept. spokesman Mark Toner over the strike, asking whether the US government viewed that incident - in which significantly more civilians were killed - as just as "disgraceful." 

 The response (see video above) was a series of pauses, stammering non-answers and evasion - underscoring the blatant double-standards so often employed by foreign governments when it comes to condemning Israel.

Obama Pulled Kerry from Netanyahu's UN 'Silence' Speech

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's powerful speech in the United Nations last week was largely upstaged by the murderous Palestinian terrorist attack wave that began less than two hours later.

However, two announcements by the Zionist Organization of America have returned the speech - during which he glared at the General Assembly delegates from around the world for 45 seconds of dramatic silence – to the news.

First, the ZOA issued a statement of praise for Netanyahu's condemnation of the international community for its utter silence regarding continuing Iranian threats to destroy Israel. Netanyahu also noted that Iran has also increased its funding and arming of the Assad regime in Syria, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Secondly, and more dramatically, the ZOA strongly criticized U.S. President Barack H. Obama for choosing to hold a video conference with Secretary of State John Kerry and United Nations Ambassador Samantha  Power precisely during Netanyahu's speech.

Obama thus "pulled" them from the UN hall while the Israeli Prime Minister was addressing the world body – just as Arab countries have routinely done when Israeli leaders and representatives speak.

Breitbart News reported that it was told by a State Department official that “Ambassador Power and Secretary Kerry were unable to attend Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech before the General Assembly because they were called into a meeting with President Obama, [in] which they participated via video teleconference.”

"It is appalling and unprecedented," ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, "for an American president to pull senior U.S. representatives from the UN General Assembly hall ahead of the leader of any American ally's address to the United Nations. President Obama cannot possibly have been unaware of the signal this sends to friend and foe alike regarding the US/Israeli relationship which... he has professed to value and uphold."

Klein surmised that the reason Obama would do this was to "tell Iran, Arab nations, and the rest of the world that he means to maintain a frosty and fraught relationship with Israel, despite talk of moving forward with cooperative efforts with Israel to combat the many manifest and emergent dangers in the Middle East -- many of them stimulated by the terrible and utterly defective nuclear deal with Iran upon which he insisted."

"President Obama... seems to be signaling Tehran that 'You have nothing to fear from joint U.S./Israeli efforts. I am putting more daylight between Washington and Jerusalem. The United States will give Israel arms, but it will not stop you building up your terror proxies against her.'"

Gerer Rebbe retracts his "no going to Kosel" comment

It is reported on Wednesday afternoon that statements attributed to HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita and the Gerer Rebbe Shlita pertaining to not visiting the Kosel are inaccurate.

It is now reported that Rav Kanievsky stated that one may visit the Kosel but one should take the route that has more security, not an isolated or unprotected route.

While this is the entire clarification, one might extrapolate the Gadol Hador feels one should go via Shar Yaffo (Jaffa Gate) and not Shar Shechem, which compels one to walk through the Arab shuk.

Regarding statements attributed to the Gerrer Rebbe, Health Minister Yaakov Litzman is quoted on Wednesday explaining the Rebbe never said what was attributed to him. He did not add any information.

In the interim, Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita continues calling on Klal Yisrael to come and be mispallel at the Kosel.

Howard Stern Blasts Roger Waters Over Israel Boycott

Howard Stern shared strong words for former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters on a recent broadcast of his show, blasting the singer-songwriter Tuesday over his stance on Israel.

For years, the singer-songwriter has supported the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, supporting Palestine and urging his rock-star peers not to perform in Israel. "What is with Roger Waters and the Jews?" Stern said in a seven-minute rant on his show, via The Washington Free Beacon. "Why does Roger Waters live in America, a country that was founded on white people coming in and obliterating the native population? How does he stand it? Why don't we just all leave?"

Most recently, Waters published an open letter to Bon Jovi, saying that the singer was "shoulder to shoulder with the settler who burned the baby." 

The statement irked Stern, who went on to describe how he sees Israel and its place in the Middle East.

"Where's the one place they can stick Jews where no one will be offended? Because the Jews are getting killed all over the world," Stern said. "Give them a little homeland on a desert where there's no water, where essentially no one could live. And no one did live there despite the bullsh_t. And the Palestinians are these Arabs that could live in Egypt, that could live in Saudi Arabia, but guess what? Those countries don't want them either. So they have a country, and Israel has a tiny little country and it bugs the sh_t out of Roger Waters."

Stern went on to say that he knows Waters and that the singer-songwriter had recently gone up to him and said, "Thanks a lot," in a sarcastic tone. "I guess he's offended by me pointing this out," the radio host said. "Why can't I talk? Why can't I tell you I think you're full of shit, and it seems like you're a little too consumed with it?"

A representative for Waters declined to comment.

In August, Waters told Israeli newspaper Haaretz that it's not Israel he hates, but what he considers apartheid there. "People are always saying, 'BDS is trying to delegitimize Israel,'" he said. "No, it's not. It's trying to stop the oppression of the Palestinian, Bedouin and other Arab peoples of the region you are oppressing. It's trying to stop you oppressing your fellow human beings. It's not trying to delegitimize Israel."

BBC Headline:"Palestinian shot dead after stabbing soldier in Israel."

The anti-Semitic bastards, the BBC keep writing headlines in reverse, misleading the readers! Instead of writing "Terrorist Kills Two Innocent People in Israel" they write "Palestinian shot dead"

BBC once again led its coverage of a terrorist attack against Israelis with news of the terrorist's death on Wednesday.

The article reports on an attack in Kiryat Gat, in which a terrorist stabbed an Israeli soldier snatched his gun, and ran into an apartment building with intent of killing more Jews.

But instead of leading with the innocent victims of the attack, the BBC headline reads: "Palestinian shot dead after stabbing soldier in Israel."

This is the second time in one week the BBC has been guilty of deliberately publishing a misleading headline, after it headlined Saturday's brutal murder of two Israeli Jews in Jerusalem as "Palestinian shot dead after Jerusalem attack kills two." 

After an uproar, BBC admitted it was "mistaken" in publishing the headline, but refused to apologize. 

The head of Israel's Government Press Office issued a warning to the BBC following its eyebrow-raising headline, threatening to withdraw the major news network's press license if another terror attack was published with this angle.

Kock im' Moon on Tuesday expressed his concern over the recent surge in tensions between Israelis and Palestinians, condemning the killings of Palestinians without mention of Israeli terror victims. 

The UN chief said he is "profoundly alarmed by the growing number of deadly incidents in the West Bank, including east Jerusalem."

"The Secretary-General welcomes the commitment by Palestinian and Israeli officials to work together to curb the violence, including through continued security cooperation," he added.

Ban said he did not believe that the demolition of homes belonging to Palestinian terrorists or the construction of new Israeli settlements "will do anything other than inflame tensions still further."

Ban acknowledged the death of four Palestinians, referring to a 13-year-old boy whom the IDF said was accidentally killed by misfire and three terrorists who were killed by security forces following attacks that killed four Israelis.  

While he said the "escalation of violent incidents underscores the need for urgent action by both sides," Ban placed responsibility on Israel to investigate incidents of violence.

"The Secretary-General condemns the killings and looks to the Government of Israel to conduct a prompt and transparent investigation into the incidents, including whether the use of force was proportional," the UN statement said.

However, Ban's statement made no specific mention of the four Israeli causalities in terrorist shootings and stabbing over the past week, nor did he mention steps the Palestinian Authority government should take.

He also pointed toward the reported hundreds of Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli security forces, and called these events "yet another worrisome sign of violence potentially spiraling out of control." 

Palestinian terrorists shot dead an Israeli couple in front of four of their children in the West Bank on Thursday. 

On Saturday, a Palestinian terrorist murdered two Jewish men and wounded a mother and son in the Old City of Jerusalem in a Saturday stabbing and shooting spree, before he was shot dead by police. Another Palestinian, suspected of having stabbed and wounded an Israeli teen, was shot dead Saturday by police in Jerusalem. 

During a violent clash with the IDF in Tulkarm on Sunday night, a Palestinian rioter was shot and killed.

Gerrer Rebbe gives in to Arab Savages After Attack: Do Not Visit the Kosel Until Further Notice ...while Rav Yitzchok Yosef says: Now is the Time to Visit the Kosel

Following the most recent terror stabbing attack in Yerushalayim, which claimed the lives of two Yidden, the Gerrer Rebbe issued a directive to his Chassidim not to go to the Kosel to daven until further notice.

The announcement was made at the main Gerrer Bais Medrash in Yerushalayim by Reb Yossel Schiff, a close confidant of the Rebbe.

The Gerrer Rebbe, who regularly visits the Kosel during Chol Hamoed, has not visited the Kosel this Sukkos, giving in to the Arab savages.

Meanwhile, The Rishon Letzion, Rav Yitzchok Yosef, commenting on the attack in the Old City, said that “the situation in which day after day Jewish blood flows like water in Eretz Yisroel – Jews whose only sin is that they are Jews – is intolerable.”

Rav Yosef said called on Jews who can, starting with the night of Hosahanah Rabbah and in Simchas Torah, to visit the Kosel to observe the mitzvos of the day and to daven for the welfare of those who were injured.

“Do not allow it to become a situation in which Jews are afraid to go to the Kosel,” he said.

Rav Yosef called on all to create a situation in which Jews feel safe in all parts of the Eretz Yisroel.

Rav Eliyahu Bakshi-Doron, who leads tefillos annually on Hoshanah Rabbah at the Kosel, said he would hold his customary gathering.

Following the attack, the Kosel buses are not going all the way to the Kosel, but are stopping at Shaar Yaffo/Mamila.
