Charedi journalist Joins DIN and slams: Charedi leadership that send children to the streets

‏Moti Rubinstein‏, publisher of the L'chatchila newspaper joins DIN in criticizing the Charedi leadership following the tragic ramming incident at the Charedi protest in Jerusalem on Tuesday night.

"I simply can't stay silent anymore," Rubinstein wrote in a post on social media. "Today, a Charedi boy was rammed to death in anti-draft protest in Jerusalem. The images of this tragic event won’t leave my mind. My heart goes out to the family, truly. But the pain is turning into great anger."

Rubinstein noted, "All the politicians, from Shas, United Torah Judaism, the opposition, and the coalition, are rushing to blame the driver who rammed him and absolving themselves of any responsibility."

"I ask, what about our leadership? What about the rabbis and rebbes who send thousands of people, including children and teenagers, to block roads with no coordination, no security, and no thought for the dangers?"

"This recklessness is insane," Rubinstein emphasized. "The writing has been on the pavement for a long time, and certainly since the Meron disasterwhere 45 people were killed due to the exact same irresponsible conduct. Did we learn anything? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And now, once again, we are paying with the blood of an innocent boy."

Rubinstein also stressed that haredi leaders' political struggles are endangering the lives of the public and children, adding, "I’m tired of how every time a disaster happens, everyone blames 'the other' and avoids responsibility."

"I demand a real investigation," he said, stressing that not only the driver must be investigated, "but also against the organizers of the protest, against those who called for going into the streets without planning, and against those who prioritize political power over human lives."

"Enough of this recklessness. Enough of risking children’s lives for political points. It’s time for the Charedi community to wake up and demand responsible leadership-before the next disaster."

Watch: Step by step footage of the Jerusalem bus ramming

New footage has been published from the haredi protest held last night (Tuesday) in Jerusalem, showing the dramatic moments when a bus was surrounded by dozens of young men who blocked its progress.

Protesters were filmed encircling the bus from all sides, blocking its path amid shouting and attempts to strike it. Eventually, the bus surged forward at speed into the crowd of protesters.

The run-over resulted in the death of the late Yosef Eisental, 14, a resident of the Ramot neighborhood and a student at Ohel Torah yeshiva.

Yaakov Zimberg, who was at the scene, told Channel 12, "The bus arrived and the boys blocked it. He shouted for help in an Arab accent. They touched his wipers, blocked him and struck the windshield. Suddenly he decided to floor the accelerator."

Dovi Cohen, an eyewitness, added, "There were masses of boys in front of him and he simply rammed the masses of boys aside. I saw with my own eyes two boys dragged under his wheel."

Another eyewitness said, "They spat at the driver, he had no way to get out. He drove into all the haredim and ran them over. I was thrown aside, there were three more under the bus. There was another street there, he ran over three more people there and a child as well."

Shai, who saw the event unfold before his eyes, described how he helped police stop the driver. "I was riding a scooter and blocked him. After ten seconds the officers were already inside the bus and trying to arrest him. We fought with the driver when he raised his hands to strike us."

Big supporter of Trump and Israel in the US House Dies Suddenly !

Rep. Doug LaMalfa, a veteran California Republican known for his unwavering support of Israel and close alignment with President Donald Trump, has died at age 65 after suffering a medical emergency, local officials said.

Throughout his career, LaMalfa described Israel as a vital democratic ally in the Middle East and regularly spoke out against antisemitism and terrorism, urging bipartisan support for the U.S.–Israel relationship.

Which one of the Gedoilim will take Responsibility for the Needless Death of 14 year old ...Yosef Eisenthal a"h

I have been writing about this for years saying countless times, that this will not end well!

I would like to know which genius came up with the mantra

"We would rather die than enlist"?

We need to grab him and hang him up in the town square!

Well, someone did get killed, are they happy now?

Know that the 14 year-old, Yosef Eisenthal z"l did not die for the "cause" and didn't die "Al Kiddush Hashem" like the IDF Soldiers, he died in vain!

I'm now waiting for a Gadol to tell the bereaved mother of Yosef "He died al Kiddush Hashem" ! That would be an unmitigated lie! This was a needless and reckless death!

There are news reports that the Gedoilim are now blaming the bus driver, everyone but themselves, they sent children into the "fires" without supervision, eyewitnesses are stating the teenagers harassed the Arab driver and spat at him! I am not justifying what the driver did, he should be charged with murder, but Gedoilim have to be charged with incitement!

I know I'm going to get comments like "Well, don't you believe that everything is from HKB"H? It was bashert"

Yes, of course I believe that everything is from Hashem, but you know who doesn't believe it?

The Gedoilim that organize these protests!

If they believed that everything is from the RBS"O they would not have any illegal protests but instead have their students learn an extra hour!

They don't believe that the RBS"O controls the world at all! They are by in large a bunch of power-hungry R"Y and they want to control the narrative! They believe sincerely that they run the world!

Fourteen-year-old Yosef Eisenthal was killed and three others injured after a bus struck pedestrians during a haredi protest against military conscription in Jerusalem.

A preliminary police investigation found the driver was attacked by rioters blocking the road before the fatal incident. The driver  was arrested for questioning as authorities investigate the circumstances.

The protest descended into violent clashes, including road blockages, vandalism, and attacks on police and journalists.

Update: Israeli police said Wednesday that the bus driver called the emergency police hotline minutes before the collision, reporting that he was under attack. The driver repeated that account during questioning, investigators said.

Record Charedi Enlistment Day in the IDF

More than 530 ultra-Orthodox men enlisted in the IDF on Sunday, marking the largest single-day haredi draft in the military’s history.

Over 230 joined combat units, with others entering support roles, reflecting a growing trend of shared national responsibility as the IDF expands frameworks that allow haredi soldiers to serve while preserving their religious way of life.

Haredi Jews, often called ultra-Orthodox, are deeply religious Jews  who seek to preserve a traditional, God-fearing way of life with strict adherence to Jewish law. They are commonly identified by conservative dress and include several sub-groups, with some gradually integrating into Israeli society while others remain resistant to modern influences.

The Special Tzazzdik Rabbi Berel Wein z"l

DIN: I found this tribute of Rabbi Wein in Substack, and decided to post this because it really delves into who he really was. I personally knew him well as I was a neighbor of his!

Rabbi Berel Wein Zt"l, my personal "Renaissance man"

by Dovie Kornreich

I started crying on the Friday night of Parshas Eikev while walking home from Shul. I really didn’t know why I got so emotional so suddenly. It was true that I was going through a stressful time—moving from a wonderful suburban community I had lived in for the past 8 years—and I had grown very fond of the place and was sad to leave. But I don’t usually cry from stress or sadness.

On Sunday morning, I heard the news of Rabbi Wein’s passing, and my sudden crying spell made sense to me. My neshama realized that I was about to lose one of the greatest Jews I will ever come into contact with.

My connection to Rabbi Wein started in 1986 when I became a freshman at Shaarei Torah Yeshivah High School and Beis Midrash. (Little did I realize at the time, that this was the Golden Age of Rabbi Wein’s rabbinical career.) Coming from a sheltered haredi cheder-like elementary school in Brooklyn to a “centrist” high school with a big emphasis on secular studies, there was a lot I needed to adjust to. My father decided to send me there because he was very dissatisfied with the level of education I was getting in frum Brooklyn yeshivah system.

I considered myself a Brooklyn refugee. I was running from a strict, close-minded, narrowly defined sense of what Yiddishkeit should look like and sound like. Black-and-white, tzitzis out, peyos, and no television or movies. (Following professional sports was somehow okay…) There was no State of Israel, there was no discussion of the Holocaust which actually gave rise to much of our immigrant community. There were no Conservative Jews or Reform Jews or Secular Jews. None of them existed in our world. Completely transparent. The Modern Orthodox were the butt of jokes and derision.

And the Goyim? Let’s not go there.

The secular studies teachers openly complained—to us!—that we were worse than the kids they taught in public school. It was a constant, daily chillul Hashem and I was sick to my stomach.

So I found refuge in Rabbi Wein and in Shaarei Torah.

U.S. Collected 600B in Tariffs Including Billions from Israeli Imports

President Trump announced the U.S. has collected over *600 billion* in tariffs, calling it a major boost to America’s economy and national security.

Among those affected is Israel, which has faced a 15% tariff on roughly 60% of its exports to the U.S.* since August 2025.

The policy has added billions in costs to Israeli goods, straining trade ties between the close allies as efforts continue to negotiate relief.

Iranian Regime Hours or Days From Collapse as Security Forces Reportedly Walk Away*

The Mossad has signaled what could be the final hours or days of Iran’s ruling regime, posting a dramatic message in Persian suggesting a mass unraveling within the country’s security forces.

“The Mossad in Persian” account said it is receiving reports and indications that thousands of Iranian security personnel and Basij members have grown fed up with the oppressive regime and are resigning from service.

If confirmed, the development would mark a stunning collapse of internal regime loyalty, a key indicator that Iran’s ruling system may be entering its final phase.

Parshas Shmos Teaches Us Never to speak bad of Chilonim

In this week’s parsha, we encounter a remarkable exchange between Moshe Rabbeinu and the Ribbono Shel Olam.

Hashem instructs Moshe to go to Paro and to Klal Yisrael and announce that the time has finally come for the Jewish people to be taken out of Egypt.

Moshe responds with a question: “What if they don’t believe me?”

Hashem is not pleased with this, and immediately the staff in Moshe’s hand turns into a snake.

Rashi asks: Why specifically a snake? What is the message here?

Rashi explains that Moshe’s question amounted to speaking Lashon Hara about Klal Yisrael—assuming they would not believe him. To show His displeasure, Hashem turns the staff into a snake, the very symbol of Lashon Hara.

But Hashem doesn’t stop there. To drive the point home, He afflicts Moshe’s hand with tzaraas, another classic sign of Lashon Hara.

This raises a powerful question: What were the Jews in Egypt actually like, that Moshe’s words were considered Lashon Hara?

Were they tzaddikim?

Let me share something that isn’t often emphasized: Chazal say openly that the Jews in Egypt were idol worshippers.

The Midrash states:

?ואמרו מלאכים הללו עובדי עבודה זרה והללו עובדי עבודה זרה מה נשתנו אלו מאל

“The angels said: These are idol worshippers and those are idol worshippers—what makes Israel different from the Egyptians?”

And further:

They were uncircumcised, they dressed like the Egyptians, they behaved like the Egyptians. According to Reb Yehoshua in the name of Rav Chanan, there was almost no visible difference between the two nations. And Rav Shmuel bar Nachman teaches that if not for Hashem swearing that He would redeem them, the attribute of justice would never have allowed it.

And yet—despite all this—Hashem was upset with Moshe for questioning the belief of these very people.

Charedim took The name of Harav Avraham Yitzchok Kook z"l and rubbed it into the mud? Why?

Because he dared believe in the Chilonim that were building Eretz Yisrael!

Woe to those who denigrate and badmouth those living in Eretz Yisrael!

They may very well be "Gedoilim" nevertheless they are עתיד ליתן דין וחשבון!

Hashem wasn't "mevater" when the greatest of prophets "hinted" that the Jews would not believe him, HE will certainly not be "mevater" for anyone talking ill of those living in the Land of Israel! Be they frum or even Oivdei Avoda Zara!

Neturei Karta Guy Wishes Death to Jewish IDF Sodiers

This has been going viral, and I saw that many comment that he is deranged!

So let me let you guys into a secret

HE IS NOT DERANGED!

I have spoken to him on many occasions and if you don't speak about Zionists or the IDF to him you can hold an intelligent conversation with him!

When Chardeim are embarrassed about their very own, instead of going over to him and chastising him ...they walk away and say "Well he is deranged" This is a cop out !

BTW I have spoken to many Yeshivishe people who look sane and say this as well!

Clueless Irrelevant Schumer Crawls out of his Cave to block further U.S. action Venezuela

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said he expects the Senate to vote this week on whether to formally authorize the Trump administration's military actions in Venezuela.

The New York Democrat said he is co-sponsoring a resolution to block further U.S. action following the strikes tied to the operation that captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, now detained in a New York federal prison.

Schumer argued the administration violated the War Powers Act by failing to notify Congress in advance, according to Politico.

Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei Prepares Moscow Escape as Iran’s Unrest Deepens

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has activated plans to flee Tehran and seek refuge in Moscow as unrest across the country deepens, according to an intelligence assessment obtained by The Times, a newspaper of record in the United Kingdom.

The plan closely mirrors the recent flight of Bashar al-Assad, who escaped Damascus aboard a plane to Moscow.

Khamenei continues to portray himself as the leader of Shiite Muslims worldwide, a claim used to justify Iran’s long standing investment in its so called axis of resistance. This includes Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and allied Shiite militias operating across Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.

A Widow Discusses Her Husband's Suicide

Netanyahu to Attorney General: I won't fire Ben Gvir

A heated confrontation unfolded during the Cabinet meeting on Sunday regarding the stance of the Attorney General, who believes the Prime Minister should advance the dismissal of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf opened the discussion, stating: "Every time we raise a discussion, the Legal Advisor blocks it and the Attorney General prevents it. Now they want to fire Minister Ben Gvir. This is not just against him; this is against all of us."

Government Secretary Yossi Fox added, "There is no precedent for firing a minister without an indictment. This is breaking the tools, it’s the end of democracy."

Minister Ben Gvir remarked, "They tried to blackmail me, someone from the Legal Advisor’s office, saying that if I don’t appoint Rinat Saban, they will fire me. Gil Limon, who is here, knows this person."

Deputy Attorney General Gil Limon responded, "What Ben Gvir is saying is a lie. We raised concerns about the policy on the Temple Mount. The Prime Minister said that the status quo would not change, but Ben Gvir is making changes."

At this point, Prime Minister Netanyahu intervened and said, "We said there will be no change in the status quo, but the changes Ben Gvir is making do not alter the status quo, and they are in coordination with me."

Limon attempted to continue, "There needs to be an independent police force, and Ben Gvir is harming the independence of the police. It’s true that no indictment has been filed against him. Take for example what happened last night when Ben Gvir immediately backed the police. A citizen was shot in Terabin, and Ben Gvir didn’t check; he immediately backed them. This is interference in the investigation, he’s interfering with investigations, and not for the first time."

The Prime Minister responded angrily: "This is simply embarrassing. The firing of Minister Ben Gvir will not happen. Pay attention to what you’re saying here. It’s not uncommon for there to be investigations in the IDF about a particular event, but that does not prevent the Defense Minister and the Chief of Staff from continuing in their roles, and sometimes I also give them my support. No one is convinced by this, you are using absurd arguments."

Minister Ben Gvir added, "If we’re talking about interfering with investigations, you (Gil Limon) are a criminal. You interfered in an investigation you shouldn’t have regarding the Military Advocate General. You sent a letter asking when the investigation would end, and you were in a conflict of interest, which is prohibited."

Limon argued, "I sent an email and did not intervene."

The Prime Minister concluded the discussion, clarifying: "I suggest the Attorney General reconsider his position. I will not fire Minister Ben Gvir."

Charedim Freaking Out Over Torah Bulletins Distributed by the IDF Chardeie Hashmonaim Brigade!

DIN: They’re not claiming the published Torah is “apikorsus.” Their objection is that it doesn’t align with their narrow, outdated agenda. Many in the Charedi world recognize that their system isn’t offering a sustainable path — it often leaves people dependent on support and doesn’t consistently produce the kind of well‑rounded Torah scholars they aspire to. Instead, it tends to create an atmosphere of protest and resistance. More and more bochurim are beginning to realize this and are no longer willing to accept it. That’s why there’s such anxiety now: they’re seeing that even a soldier can deliver a thoughtful Torah insight that challenges their long‑held assumptions.

A newly launched bulletin by the IDF’s Charedi Hashmonaim Brigade has sparked backlash in Charedi communities, particularly among opponents of military conscription.

The bulletin, titled "In the Brigade," was distributed over the weekend in Charedi population centers. According to the Yedioth Ahronoth daily, it features Torah teachings written by brigade commanders, personal accounts from soldiers serving in the unit, and photographs documenting operational activity.

IDF officials say the publication is intended to introduce young Charedi men to the dedicated service framework developed for them within the military, while highlighting the experiences of soldiers and commanders who serve in the brigade.

However, the initiative has drawn sharp criticism in Bnei Brak and other Charedi strongholds. Anti-draft activists circulated messages urging synagogue caretakers to verify whether the bulletin had been distributed on their premises and to remove what they described as “dangerous materials," warning against allowing the content to reach the wider public.

The controversy reflects ongoing tensions within Israel’s Charedi community over military service and the IDF’s efforts to expand haredi enlistment through tailored frameworks.

The "Meshiginer" Goldknopf Says That sanctions on draft dodgers are like "the Yellow Star"

DIN: What a "shoiteh shebe"oilom" comparing the sanctions of draft dodgers to Jews in Poland and Vienna that had to wear the yellow star under the pain of death! This clueless "upgerissinir naar" who underpaid his own employees in Bnei Brak, has the sheer chutzpah to open his trap!

Any one of those Jews that were subsequently butchered would have exchanged places with any of those well-fed heathy jlubs!

MK Yitzchak Goldknopf (United Torah Judaism) sparked controversy on Sunday evening during a discussion in the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on the proposed conscription law.

Referring to the sanctions included in the draft legislation, Goldknopf compared them to “a yellow star for Torah students," a remark that immediately drew criticism from across the political spectrum.

Committee chair MK Boaz Bismuth (Likud) responded by distancing himself from the comparison, stating that while he holds “great respect for Torah scholars and the haredi community," such language “crosses a line" and is inappropriate in this context.
