Trump Celebrates Resignation of Rep. Marjorie Traitor Greene from Congress

President Trump hailed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s surprising resignation announcement Friday as “great news” for America.

“I think it’s great news for the country,” Trump told ABC News during a brief phone call.

“It’s great,” he added.

The president indicated that Greene (R-Ga.) did not share her plans with him ahead of her social media post announcing her intention to leave office on Jan. 5, 2026, and said he had no plans to speak with her.

“Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know? But I think it’s great,” Trump said. “I think she should be happy

The president offered further reaction early Saturday in a Truth Social post in which he slammed the Georgia congresswoman.

“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown, because of PLUMMETING Poll Numbers, and not wanting to face a Primary Challenger with a strong Trump Endorsement (where she would have no chance of winning!), has decided to call it ‘quits,’ ” Trump wrote in a 6:45 a.m. post.

“Her relationship with the WORST Republican Congressman in decades, Tom Massie of Kentucky, also known as Rand Paul Jr. because he votes against the Republican Party (and really good legislation!), did not help her,” he continued.

“For some reason, primarily that I refused to return her never-ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie went BAD,” Trump wrote, before adding, “Nevertheless, I will always appreciate Marjorie, and thank her for her service to our Country!”

Greene, who had been one of Trump’s staunchest supporters, caught the president’s ire after criticizing his administration’s handling of documents related to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and breaking with the commander in chief on several policy issues.

Last week, Trump withdrew his endorsement of Greene and called for the congresswoman to face a primary challenge ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

The president signaled that he would endorse Greene’s challenger.

“I have too much self-respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” Greene said in her resignation letter.

“It’s all so absurd and completely unserious,” she continued. “I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better.”

Greene’s departure will narrow the GOP’s slim majority in the House, where 219 Republicans and 213 Democrats are currently seated.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), whom Greene tried oust last year, did not have advanced knowledge of Greene’s resignation announcement, a source told NBC News.

A House GOP aide described Greene’s plans to resign to The Post as a “vindictive” move to deliberately “f—k” over the majority.

The White House and Johnson’s office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Trump remains silent as Mamdani accuses Israel of genocide

The New York City mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, met on Friday with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, after several weeks of tensions between the two.

After the meeting, Mamdani repeated his claims that the government of Israel is carrying out "genocide in Gaza," and said that the U.S. government is funding those actions.

"“I shared with the president in our meeting about the concern that many New Yorkers have about wanting their tax dollars to go toward the benefit of New Yorkers and their ability to afford basic dignity. There’s a desperate need not only for the following of human rights but also the following through on the promises we’ve made New Yorkers. We've spoken about the Israeli government committing genocide and I’ve spoken about our government funding it."

President Trump did not respond to those remarks during the meeting with reporters. When Mamdani was asked about the president's efforts to advance agreements in the Middle East, he replied "I appreciate all efforts toward peace. We’re tired of seeing our tax dollars fund endless wars, and I also believe that we have to follow through on the international human rights, and I know that still today those are being violated, and that continues to be work that has to be done, no matter where we’re speaking of.”

Later, Trump was asked about Mamdani's threat to detain Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he comes to New York, and he briefly answered, "We did not discuss that."

In addition, Mamdani's spokeswoman Dora Pekec, referenced his recent objections to the Nefesh B'Nefesh event held ina New York synagogue: "The Mayor-elect has discouraged the language used at last night’s protest and will continue to do so. He believes every New Yorker should be free to enter a house of worship without intimidation, and that these sacred spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law."

Trump made light of reporters asking Mamdani if Trump was a fascist, telling Mamdani "Just say yes, it's easier."

‘Antisemitic’ activist Linda Sarsour: Mamdani mayoral win shows hating Israel can ‘send you to City Hall’

Zohran Mamdani’s Election Day victory is proof that hating the Jewish State is actually a plus with NYC voters, radical pro-Palestine activist Linda Sarsour declared this week.

“Being unequivocally in solidarity with the Palestinian people, being able to look at what’s happening in Palestine, and calling it genocide, supporting nonviolent, resistance to apartheid in the form of the [anti-Israel] Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions [movement], for example, is in fact not a political liability,” Sarsour said Wednesday to 240 predominately like-minded haters during a webinar hosted by her Muslim advocacy group MPower Change.

“It actually sends you to City Hall.”

Satmar Joins Pro-Hamas Demonstration against Nefesh Be'Nefesh Event screaming "Death to the IDF"

Death to the IDF’: Pro-Ham*sActivists Rally Outside NYC Synagogue Event*

That’s what a mob of pro-Ham*s activists screamed outside a Nefesh B’Nefesh event at Park East Synagogue in NYC last night.

They chanted “Resistance is glorious,” “Intifada revolution,” and “Take another settler out.”
This is exactly the kind of chaos New Yorkers can expect in a Mamdani-run NYC.

Rabbi Elchanon Poupko told JBN:
“The war in Gaza is over. This is not about Gaza — this is a war on the Jewish people. How did the NYPD permit this horror?”

Mamzarani says that Nefesh Be"Nefesh Event Violates International Law!

Zohran Mamdani, distanced himself from a widely criticized demonstration outside a prominent synagogue in Manhattan on Wednesday night, where anti-Israel protesters were heard chanting “Death to the IDF” and “Globalize the intifada,” among other slogans, even as he suggested that the event, which provided information on immigrating to Israel, violated international law.

“The mayor-elect has discouraged the language used at last night’s protest and will continue to do so,” a spokesperson for Mamdani, Dora Pekec, said in a statement to Jewish Insider on Thursday. “He believes every New Yorker should be free to enter a house of worship without intimidation, and that these sacred spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law.”

The protest, organized by an anti-Zionist group, took place outside Park East Synagogue, a historic Modern Orthodox congregation, at which an event was being held by Nefesh B’nefesh, a nonprofit that assists in Jewish immigration to Israel from North America.

Asked to clarify the concluding caveat from Pekec’s statement, Mamdani’s team said it “was specifically in reference to the organization’s promotion of settlement activity beyond the Green Line,” which “violates international law.”

Curios how Jews ever Worshipped Idols??? Come to Meron and Watch Satmar Rebbe & His Chassidim Openly Violate a Torah Prohibition

Thousands of people are expected to gather in Meron on Saturday night for a large bonfire event led by Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum, the Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Joel, New York, as part of his two-week visit to Israel.

The gathering is anticipated to be one of the largest ultra-Orthodox assemblies in Israel this year, drawing Satmar followers from across the country and abroad, including sizable groups traveling from the United States.

THE DARKEI EMORI FIRE DANCE

EMAILIM BATORAH

Dancing in front of a fire would be an איסור דאורייתא
of ובחקתיהם לא תלכו.

Some might claim that dancing in front of a fire in Miron
is an accepted מנהג בישראל, and they will argue that it can’t
be wrong when you have thousands of Yidden & Rebbes
dancing around the fire.

The same argument was probably also used when there
were thousands of Yidden worshipping the עגל הזהב.

Perhaps, those planning to dance in front of the fire
should consult their מורה הוראה if this איסור דאורייתא is no
longer applicable today, and why not?

Chareidim protest Satmar Visit in Beit Shemesh

הפגנת קיצונים כעת ברח' נחל קישון המשקיף על שכונת רמת אברהם כנגד ביקורו של האדמו"ר מסאטמר שם היום
It seems that the Beit Shemesh Chareidim don't think that R' Aron Teitelbaum is extreme enough after all he married a Zionist, the Viznitzer Rebbe's daughter!

Mamdani isn’t even mayor yet, and angry leftist mobs are already gathering outside New York City synagogues. This is going to get much worse.

Trump’s Gaza peace plan is doomed — unless he shuts down terror-boosting UNRWA

When the UN Security Council approved President Donald Trump’s plan to establish a board of peace overseeing Gaza’s transformation from Hamas terror base to calm Palestinian enclave, it was a diplomatic coup.

In Monday’s nearly unanimous vote — with China and Russia abstaining rather than wielding their veto — global powers, along with both Israel and the Arab world, effectively handed Trump the right to demilitarize and deradicalize the Gaza Strip, while defining Hamas as the threat to peace.

Now comes the even harder part: Implementing a plan that Hamas and the UN are plotting to undermine.

Leading the charge to upend Trump’s vision will be the UN agency responsible for radicalizing Palestinian society, the UN Relief and Works Agency, which the General Assembly voted to maintain Wednesday over American objections.

To succeed, Trump will need to shutter this organization by imposing anti-terrorism sanctions on it — a move fully justified by UNRWA’s complicity in empowering Hamas.

Oct. 7 was the logical conclusion of 75 years of indoctrination.

Thanks largely to UNRWA, Palestinians wrongly view themselves as “refugees” who must “liberate” their homes from Jews who “stole” their land in 1948.

The UN established UNRWA in 1949 to perpetuate this lie.

UNRWA’s most successful radicalization tool has been its schools.

Satmar Mobilizes other Chassidic Rabbanim to release the Monster Sexual Preditor Weberman!

UPDATE: Rav Schechter withdrew his signature and support to have Weberman released!

I reported on this trial way back in 2012, and when I say "reported" I mean I attended this trial everyday! I went with an open mind to give Weberman the benefit of the doubt!

But about three days into the trial as I was sitting out in the lobby because the Judge called for a recess, a married Chassidishe lady with a hat on top of her wig went over to Mrs Weberman lifted her sweater and showed all those in the lobby that were supporting this monster, cigarette burn scars all over her stomach, she screamed at his wife in Yiddish and said that there are at least another 20 victims like her, and she will come every day to see justice being served!

It must have taken her such courage to abandon tznees to prove that this was a monster that needs to be locked up! I need to add that Weberman could have walked with no jail time, all the victims wanted was an apology but they wanted a detailed apology that would prove that these girls, now married women were telling the truth! But because he was the arrogant monster that he is he couldn't bring himself to humiliate himself!

Satmar ASS"kanim  in New York appealed to the governor for the release of a Hasidic community counselor imprisoned for sexual abuse, arguing that his sentence was disproportionate, according to court documents that surfaced this month.

Nechemya Weberman, 67, an unlicensed religious "counselor" in the Satmar Hasidic movement, was sentenced to 103 years in prison in 2013, in a major case for the New York Jewish community.

He was convicted of 59 counts, including sustained sexual abuse of a child, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse.

NEW YORK — Jewish leaders in New York appealed to the governor for the release of a Hasidic community counselor imprisoned for sexual abuse, arguing that his sentence was disproportionate, according to court documents that surfaced this month.

Nechemya Weberman, 67, an unlicensed religious counselor in the Satmar Hasidic movement, was sentenced to 103 years in prison in 2013, in a major case for the New York Jewish community.

He was convicted of 59 counts, including sustained sexual abuse of a child, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse.

Weberman’s sentence was reduced to 50 years later in 2013. He is incarcerated in the Shawangunk Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

The case resurfaced this month when Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez backed a move to issue a new sentence for Weberman. Weberman is scheduled to appear in court next month.

As the case reemerged, court filings obtained by The Times of Israel showed that last December, an array of Jewish leaders signed a letter to New York Governor Kathy Hochul seeking a commutation for Weberman’s immediate release. The previously unreported letter was submitted to the court as a reference for resentencing in June, along with other letters of support from Weberman’s family and supporters.

The letter called Weberman’s sentence “absorbently excessive,” saying he had not incurred any infractions during his 12 years in prison and that his sentence was “much greater by comparison to others held guilty of a similar crime.”

“While we strongly condemn the nature of this crime, we do believe Mr. Weberman’s excessive sentence was placed upon him to set an example to the Orthodox Jewish community,” the letter said. “Using him because he is an Orthodox Jew as a scapegoat is unjust.”

The letter was signed by 13 prominent rabbis representing an array of Hasidic groups in New York City and a representative of Yeshiva University. The university did not reply to a request for comment.

The letter said that, due to Weberman’s health problems, his imprisonment amounts to a life sentence. A doctor also submitted a letter attesting to Weberman’s “deteriorating health.”

The New York State constitution grants the governor the ability to commute prison sentences.

Gonzalez also asked then-governor Andrew Cuomo to consider a commutation of Weberman’s sentence in 2021, saying Weberman had been “singled out for an unusually harsh punishment,” according to court filings.

Cuomo and Hochul did not publicly respond to the requests.

The Brooklyn district attorney’s office said on Tuesday, “This was a horrific case, but fairness compels us to look critically at sentences like this one that fall wildly outside the range for other defendants convicted of the same crimes.”

“Our office stands by this conviction and strongly believes that a long prison term was appropriate, but this sentence — four times longer than anyone convicted of the same crime — intended to make an example of the defendant in a politically charged moment,” a spokesperson said, confirming that the office had consented to the resentencing proceeding.

Weberman was imprisoned for repeatedly abusing an adolescent girl who was sent to him for counseling for several years.

The victim’s husband told The City this week that he and the victim had been blindsided by Gonzalez’s support for the resentencing, opposed the move, and planned to speak to the judge because they believe Weberman is still dangerous.

Letter from Rav Shach and Rav Shteinman "Army deferment only for dedicated yeshiva students"

Two letters written in the 1980s by prominent Torah leaders Rabbi Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman and Rabbi Elazar Menachem Shach clarify the original ideological position of haredi leadership regarding military draft deferments for yeshiva students.

Both rabbis emphasized that deferments are granted solely to those who are fully dedicated to Torah study and engaged in no other activity.

In a letter dated 2 Elul 5743 (1983), Rabbi Shteinman explicitly wrote:

"I, the undersigned, hereby declare that I will not issue a student certificate for deferment of military service except for one who does not engage in anything else other than his studies in the yeshiva and for whom Torah is his sole occupation. With great respect, Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman."

Another letter, written by Rabbi Shach in 1980, includes similar, and even stricter, language.

"It is self-evident and needs no proof that the right granted to a yeshiva student to defer his military service is solely on condition that Torah is his sole occupation, and that he engages in no material pursuits, whether during or outside yeshiva hours," he wrote.

Rabbi Shach further issued a clear call for yeshiva heads to act with utmost responsibility on this matter, writing,

"We hereby issue a great call to the heads of yeshivas and request that they be extremely careful, lest a mishap G-d forbid occur through them, and that only students for whom Torah is their sole occupation, as described above, be approved by them for military deferment - only they, and not those unworthy of this crown."

Oh Oh!!! New Poll Shows Democrats Holding Largest Midterm Lead Since 2017

A new PBS News/NPR/Marist poll shows Democrats with a commanding advantage heading into the 2026 midterm cycle, with 55% of voters saying they would choose a Democrat for Congress if elections were held today, compared to 41% who would vote Republican.

The 14-point spread is the party’s strongest showing since November 2017. In the 2018 midterms that followed, Democrats flipped more than 40 House seats during President Trump’s first term.

The latest numbers highlight growing voter frustration with the GOP amid recent political turbulence, signaling potential headwinds for Republicans as they approach a critical election year.

Democrats also hold a decisive lead among independents. According to the poll, 61% of independents would vote for a Democrat, while just 28% would choose a Republican — a +33 advantage.

With control of both chambers up for grabs in 2026, the survey suggests Democrats head into the cycle in a strong position.

Rav Chatzkel Abramsky zt”l on Eretz Yisroel ...A Must Read!

Translated by Rabbi Yair Hoffman [and part of a larger work in the process of completion]

Recently, one of my sons was explaining to a sister that her car desperately needed a re-alignment. In light of a certain book that has been circulating among some of our fine Torah institutions, the same term can be applied to some of our Yeshiva students.  The best way to do this is to present things in the words of Rav Chatzel Abramsky zatzal – a talmid of Rav Chaim Brisker zatzal and a world reknowned Gadol HaDor.

THE LAND OF ISRAEL: THE ETERNAL INHERITANCE OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE

INTRODUCTION

The Covenant of the Land

“And I will remember My covenant with Yaakov, and also My covenant with Yitzchak, and also My covenant with Avraham will I remember, and the land I will remember” (Vayikra 26:42). The Sifra asks a profound question on this verse: From where do we know that a covenant was established for the land itself? The answer comes from the very words of the text—”and the land I will remember.” Just as Hashem made covenants with our forefathers, so too He made a covenant with the Land itself.

The Purpose of This Work

This book, Eretz Yisrael—The Inheritance of Am Yisrael, has one overarching purpose composed of three essential components. It seeks to clarify and establish beyond doubt the three foundational pillars upon which rests the eternal right of the Children of Israel to settle their ancestral homeland. These three foundations are not mere historical claims or political arguments—they are divine truths that have sustained our people through millennia of exile and will guide us through the final redemption.
