‘Our Jewish Revenge’: Pregnant Army Wives Throw Massive Baby Shower

Forty wives of IDF reserve soldiers gathered in Modi’in, between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, recently for a collective baby shower titled “Our Jewish Revenge.”

Meira Cowland, who organized the event, is expecting her first child. Her husband has been on the battlefield for many months.

“The first challenge is loneliness. Being pregnant and not having your husband around really amplifies it,” Cowland told JNS.

“You are not feeling well, you are throwing up. It’s hard for you to cook or take care of your home. What should be a totally crazy experience together, you simply go through alone,” she said.

Cowland felt compelled to share her story on social media, prompting online followers to offer to throw her a baby shower.

“To me, it felt a bit weird having a party during a war, but somebody randomly wrote to me that if I felt that way, lots of other women must feel the same and struggle,” she said.

Pretty quickly, people reached out asking her how they could help throw the collective baby shower. In response, Cowland asked followers to nominate pregnant women whose husbands were at war.

“At the same time, we had big and small companies and individuals reaching out. Event planner [Yehudit Kosowsky of] Yehudit Designs offered to take on the project pro bono, and we also received hundreds of gifts,” she said.

Each of the 40 women attending the Nov. 24 event was presented with a duffle bag, replete with essentials for the hospital stay when giving birth. A trauma therapist participated, teaching them how to cope with being alone and to minimize any stress to their baby. A doula, massage therapists and an expert on the rights of reservists’ wives also attended.

“We had letters sent from the husbands, we also paid for soups to be delivered after the women have their babies,” Cowland said.

More than 300 nominations

The event also helped the women offset some of the expenses that come with pregnancy.

“When I first started looking for the things that I would need to buy, I realized that I was up against such a crazy expense. It sent me into a panic,” Cowland said.

“We ask ourselves how we could reduce the costs for these women. We’ve had a few donors who reached out and offered to assist women who are financially struggling,” she added.

While 40 women were selected to take part in the event, Cowland said she received between 300 and 400 nominations.

Matana Bracha Horowitz, 26, moved to Jerusalem from California eight years ago and got married three months before Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, massacre. She is expecting her first child.

“It takes a toll on you when you are constantly scared and nervous, it messes with you completely. When my husband was in Gaza, I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t focus, I couldn’t do anything although I had to. I didn’t have friends with husbands on active duty,” Horowitz told JNS.

Her husband, being religious, was drafted into the military at an older age and was in regular service when Hamas invaded. He did not return home for another four months.

Horowitz told JNS that beyond the material gifts she received at the event, the true value came in the form of the connections she made.

“I have a feeling that these girls and I are friends for life. We are each other’s support system. Our men have their units and their comrades; we don’t. Not all army wives live near each other and not everyone wants to get together,” she said.

“The people I met there understand,” she continued. “No one gets us like we get each other.”

Important message to my readers!!!!!!

When I was growing up as a teenager there was a popular song that began with the words:  "Where do I begin?" It was the theme of a popular movie.

על ראשון ראשון
First I have to thank the hundreds of readers that e-mailed me to ask about my welfare when they noticed that I hadn't blogged in three days. I cannot answer all of you individually since that would take a lot of time from my day, time of which I have little, and I am not out of the woods just yet!
I am humbled that many of you wrote to me that I, even though, you have no clue to who I am, became part of your morning routine and that I make your day! Some even said that they feel that I am part of the family! Many of you said that I opened their eyes and that they actually changed their perspective and understanding on many issues because of my explanations, and some added that "I think out of the box."
If I can make even one of you smile in the morning, that makes it all worthwhile!

I also know that many of you do not agree with me many times and may even get very upset with me, and would probably love to knock my lights out, but as the "great one" the late Bob Grant used to say that "if you agree with me 100% of the time, you need to be institutionalized!"

As many of you know, I am now part of a Kollel where I spend most of my day, shteiging away with dozens of young Avreichim that are studying to be future Rabbanim and leaders.  I am thrilled and privileged that they consider me part of the chevreh and cherish their friendship and admire their resolve! They were so worried about me that I was moved to tears. I am grateful to HKB"H that in the twilight of my life I can finally sit and learn and be surrounded by a  קול תורה in  ארץ הקדושה, and watch in real-time young Avreichim grow spiritually daily.
I also give a well-attended shiur once a week.
I am making a Siyum Hashas in two weeks, how time flies when you are having fun!

Those of you who have been following my blog know that I come from a Chareidie (In those days the word "Chareidie" didn't exist)  background and that I learned in both Chassidihe and Oberlander ( German/Hungarian) Yeshivas"! I lived surrounded by Holocaust Survivors and their families, I never met another frum Jew that had grandparents until I was in my early 20's! In the first 10 years of my life I don't remember anyone being bar-mitzvad, that age group was all murdered by the Nazis ym"s!  Yes, there were weddings as many survivors who were orphaned and came of age, got married.
Except for the tiny Lakewood Yeshiva, Kollilim didn't exist! Yes, there were older Litvaks who were survivors and had learned in the Mir in Shanghai, who learned all day in the shuls, but never as an organized Kollel, many of those Litvaks never got married, there were loads of old bachelors in Bais Hatalmud in Bensonhurst!

I saw, met and knew personally Gedoilim from the previous generation! I heard what they said from their very own holy mouths, watched how they behaved and couldn't help but admire how they treated fellow Jews! I saw as the Coke song goes "The Real Thing"
I also learned and was classmates with many who ultimately became and are presently Roshei Yeshivas in the most respected Yeshivas and I still keep in touch with them!

On the other hand, I know many who became Spiritual leaders who are "Fake, Frauds and Phonies" I spent a lot of time with them over the years and I know them very well and know that deep down they are nasty and flawed people that shouldn't be in the positions that they are in. They are destroying holy souls and need to be called out before they do more damage!  That is where my cynicism kicks in and that is why I am fighting the fight in my small way! If I see injustice, I will investigate the matter and call them out!
I get over 200 emails a week about some of those in a position of power who either abuse their positions or exploit their followers, but I cannot take on every battle while some of those stories I cannot verify! I need to choose my battles!

Which brings me to my final point!
While I was out trying to recuperate, I also received emails that contained the most nasty and horrific curses that you could possibly imagine. Just to give you a clue, those curses are not even mentioned in the two "toichehos" written in the Torah!

But I get comfort from the words that HKB"H promised to Avraham (My name is Avraham).
ואברכה מברכיך ומקללך אאר
"those who bless you, I will bless, and those that curse you I will curse"

The guys writing those emails are Frum Jews some of them Talmeidie Chachamim, and some of them seem to know who I am! I know that because they drop personal info about me in their emails. I can only guess who they are!
These self-righteous guys follow my blog religiously and surf the internet on computers that have no filters yet they are giving me musser!
כל הפוסל במומו פוסל

Not too long ago I called out a Rosh Yeshiva (See side bar) who compared our holy soldiers to "garbage cleaners!" This was just a couple of weeks after Oct 7! Not only that but he told the talmidim that they don't have to help them in any way and that they shouldn't daven for their safety! This RY was getting 80% of his budget paid by the Zionist government! He did "retract" and said that "his remarks were taken out of context," and that was the extent of his half-assed apology!  The entire context is on my blog and no one took anything out of context! He is a nasty guy and shouldn't be in chinuch! He needs to be removed ASAP!
במקום חילול השם אין חולקין כבוד לרב

Not too much longer after that, a Rebbele in New York (Not Satmar) with thousands of chassidim was heard mumbling (it was recorded and played on this blog) that no one should daven for the safety of soldiers but to daven for the Jewish people living in Israel as a whole! This Rebelle, who looks well-fed, I may add, spoke these blasphemous words at the height of the war while the blood of Jewish children was still gushing on the streets of Gaza! I remember this Rebbele when he was just a child and I remember very well that he was just as nasty! I guess becoming a Rebbele didn't do much for his יראי שמים or אהבת ישראל

These email writers defended these frauds, fakes, and phonies!

I am getting older not younger and I don't know how much longer I will blog, it does take three hours of my night when I should really be learning and growing in my spiritual journey towards my relationship with the One Who Created me! I write chiddushim on the parsha and I should really get it ready to be edited and published!

I have to admit that if it wasn't for the nasty email writers, I probably would have stopped a long time ago, but somehow in a crazy bizarre way, these nasty guys give me the strength and courage to keep on blogging to expose the Fake, Fraudulent "spiritual" leaders; I must be   hitting a nerve!

One of my chushiveh followers who I know personally, and who was bedridden for a while, may Hashem send him a רפואה שלימה  told me that it was my blog that made him laugh and smile! Mind you, he doesn't always agree with me, sometimes he thinks that I went too far, but it is followers like him that give me the umpf to go on!

If you look on the sidebar you will notice the "Google Page View" counter!
We are going to hit 21 million page views very shortly. The "Google Analytics" of my blog estimated that each viewer spends an average of 4.3 minutes on my page which is one minute longer than the average viewer of other social news media! That is impressive if I say so myself! It's not that I make any money on this blog, I think I made $32.00 last month, but what it tells me is that DIN can be a very strong advocate and positive influencer on those reaching my blog!
With strength in numbers, we can make change even one step at a time!

I truly love you all, and those who know me know that I do not possess even a spark of hatred in my body for any Jew, and it is only those who see me as someone who hates who are really the haters themselves and are only reflecting the vile filth that is unfortunately deeply recessed in their souls!

Know that I don't get easily intimidated, and as long as people abuse their power in authority they will be called out so that they do not damage others in their destructive paths, and if can in some little way expose them, then as long as HKB"H gives me the strength I will continue to do my  עבודת הקודש my Holy work!

OUTRAGIOUS! Biden quietly renewed controversial $10B Iran sanctions waiver two days after Election Day

The Biden administration quietly extended a sanctions waiver that will grant Iran access to roughly $10 billion from Iraq two days after President-elect Donald Trump’s Election Day victory.

The controversial waiver, which has been repeatedly extended by Secretary of State Antony Blinken despite strong opposition from congressional Republicans, allows the Iranian regime access to funds from Iraq in exchange for electricity purchases.

“On November 7th, the [State Department] did renew Iraq’s electricity waiver for the 23rd time since 2018,” State Department spokesman Vedant Patel confirmed last week.

“It was done so for an additional 120 days,” Patel noted – a time frame that will overlap with the early months of Trump’s second term in office.

Under the conditions of the waiver, Iran will receive nearly $10 billion being held in escrow accounts in Iraq that US officials claim may only be used for humanitarian trade.

However, the waiver extension allows the Iranian regime to transfer the electricity payments to accounts in Oman, which can then be converted to other currencies for the Islamic Republic to purchase non-sanctioned products.

It’s unclear if Trump, 78, plans on scrapping the Iran sanctions waiver when he returns to office.

In September, the Justice Department brought charges against three members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for hacking Trump campaign staffers and leaking sensitive information to media outlets and the campaign of President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in an effort to undermine the 45th president’s White House bid.

The Trump-Vance transition team did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The State Department was quick to point out that during Trump’s first term, his administration signed off on the waiver as well.

“Since 2018 – as you know, this started in the previous administration – the State Department has permitted Iraq to purchase Iranian electricity while Iraq continues to develop its own domestic generation capacity,” Patel said.

“We remain committed to reducing Iran’s malign influence in the region,” the State Department official added. “Our viewpoint is that a stable, sovereign, and secure Iraq is critical to these efforts.”

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) argued Tuesday that the sanctions waiver allows the Iranian regime to fund terror.

“The House voted to eliminate these waiver authorities — twice. But the Biden administration is still waiving the sanctions, putting more money in the Iranian regime’s pockets to fund its terrorist proxies and nuclear weapons program,” McCaul wrote on X.

“The U.S. should not be subsidizing Iran’s malign activities,” he added.

Worked Perfectly... Get Refuser Markowitz Grants His Wife A Get .... Rabbi Katz Free to Leave the Holy Zionist State and Go to Tumadik Chutz Le'Aaartz

Rav Katz on the right

The Chief Rabbinate lifted the stay of departure order from Rabbi Avraham Katz after Mrs. Markavitch received the divorce this morning.

But now Rabbi Katz must end his problem with the authorities because he tried to flee the country using someone else's passport.

It should be noted that one of the topics in the discussion about the get was, that the order from the Rabbanute to stop Rabbi Katz from leaving Israel should first be removed.
The husband's side wanted it to be removed before the get and the wife's side did not agree, she wanted the get in her hand! Once she would receive the get she would have the "Stop Order" removed!

Indeed, the court responded affirmative to this logical argument that this was a ploy to deceive, and once they would allow the Tzaddik from Tosh to leave they would renege and not give the get!
 כדרכו בקודש

Immediately after the woman received the get, Rabbi Shapira of the Rabbinate in Israel ordered the cancellation of the stay of exit order!

Rabbinate Katy Clara Ayash, who represented the woman before the Jerusalem Regional Court, believes that this case sets a precedent that can help resolve difficult Aguna cases that were classified as "unresolved."

According to Rabbinate Katy Ayash, who specializes in Aguna cases, this case will have implications for many other cases opening the possibility of taking action against relatives, friends and rabbis who are working to strengthen the Aguna's husband; several different cases are already being examined.

The fact that the proceedings taken in Israel against a rabbi who willingly assisted the husband in a cruel way allowing and even participating in his wedding to second wife without pressuring him  to give a get to the first, gives an opening of hope for many other agunot.

Without Chareidim Screaming at Them "Shabbos Shabbos!" ....Jewish nation growing stronger in faith

A new study by a Reichman University professor indicates a trend of growing affinity towards Judaism in the Israeli public and concludes that the "Jewish nation is stronger in its Jewish faith," against the backdrop of the ongoing war.

Under the title "The war has made Israelis more religious," Prof. Asif Efrat states that the findings clearly indicate an increase in the Israelis’ level of religiosity due to the influence of the war. "The implication of the data is that the war has brought Israelis closer to religion, and this closeness has intensified with the continuation of the conflict," he says to the Times of Israel.

Efrat added: "37% of individuals aged 18-35 have reported an increase in their belief in God since the outbreak of the war, compared to only 18% among those aged 56 and older. Similarly, young adults reported a higher rate of adherence to religious tradition. The trend of Israel becoming more religious has been well-established, long before the war, and is primarily driven by demographics. The birth rate among religious families is higher compared to secular families. However, the movement towards religion is also influenced by social factors. For example, studies show that in recent years, young adults in Israel tend to define themselves as more religious – perhaps as part of a search for identity and meaning."

The “Chotam—Judaism on the Agenda” organization, which endeavors to bring Jewish values back to the top of public agenda, responded with satisfaction to the findings and conveyed to Israel National News: "Israel has strengthened its Judaism during the war, and contrary to those who thought it was a passing phenomenon, this trend is increasing over time, especially among young people. This can be seen primarily among our heroic soldiers, who raise their voices in praising God, while holding swords in their hands, as King David said in the Psalms."

"This trend brings happiness and obligates each and every one of us to strengthen our belief in God and commitment to Torah and commandments, as well as to understand that beyond that, the war is a national and public event for the entire Jewish People and the State of Israel. Therefore, it is our duty to also strengthen public Judaism and the Jewish nature of the State of Israel, to ensure that, with the help of God, we will have a flourishing Jewish state."

Polish police murdered Jews during the Holocaust with gusto and even without Nazi orders, new book claims.

A group of Nazi police in Otfinów, Poland,1943

Writing a comprehensive history of Polish citizens during the Holocaust is a hefty task. A Polish law that criminalizes any mention of Polish responsibility for or complicity in Nazi crimes makes it even harder.

That makes the groundbreaking research conducted by acclaimed Holocaust historian Jan Grabowski for his new book, “On Duty: The Polish Blue & Criminal Police in the Holocaust,” all the more remarkable.

Relying on meticulous documentation, the book argues that Polish institutions were more than willing to assist the Nazis in their extermination campaign and often led the way through their own initiatives. Grabowski, a professor at the University of Ottawa, spent more than 10 years conducting the research, including years in Poland going through Polish archives, private diaries, and records from more than 100 small towns where Jews lived in high concentrations.

“I read horrifying things in the diaries of Polish policemen describing how many Jews they killed each day,” said Grabowski, 61. “There were anecdotes about a cop asking for a glass of vodka before shooting a Jew, or using hot water to clean the blood off their hands. They killed friends and schoolmates without remorse, even in places where no Germans ever came to check up on them.”

Much of the evidence Grabowski uncovered had never been seen before.

“It’s not easy to write a book like this when you have opposition from massive Polish organizations with teams of PhDs whose job is to go after people like myself,” said Grabowski, who began his research for the book before Poland passed the controversial 2018 Act on the Institute of National Remembrance. “But thorough and independent historical research is necessary to make sure that a nation can’t rewrite its history into a happy story of righteous Poles saving Jews.”

In particular, the book focuses on the actions of Poland’s Blue Police, officially known as the Polish Police of the Generalgouvernement, established shortly after the German occupation of Poland in 1939 and consisting mainly of prewar Polish police officers.

“We are talking about a police force of 20,000 people that previously was in charge of enforcing mundane civilian laws like making sure that horses walking on the street had horseshoes,” Grabowski said. “What fascinates me is how quickly these normal ordinary cops were transformed into ruthless killers.”

Grabowski’s 496-page book is now available on Yad Vashem’s website.

MK Tzvi Succot mocks MK Yair Lapid: 'Racism is ugly'

Member of Knesset Tzvi Succot mocked opposition leader Yair Lapid in his speech in the Knesset plenum, following his opposition to a law that would make it difficult for supporters of terrorism to serve in the Knesset.

Lapid stated in the plenum that

"this law is intended to prevent us from forming a government. It is a law that says we will remove 20% of Israeli citizens from the political arena."

Succot responded, surprisingly wondering:

"Did the opposition leader join the Kahane Chai movement [a religious denomination that views Zionism as a fundamental component of Orthodox Judaism] and we didn't hear about it? Suddenly they think that all the Arabs in the country are supporters of terrorism? Where is this coming from?"

He quoted the Haaretz daily, which wrote in a headline:

"MKs passed a preliminary reading of a bill that makes it difficult for Arabs to serve in the Knesset."

Succot wondered:

"How did Haaretz come to the conclusion that anyone who supports an individual terrorist is an Arab?

How have they come to claim that this law, which aims to prevent supporters of terrorism from serving in the Knesset, is about Arabs?"

3 Bresliver Chassidim who insist NOT to Coordinate with Zionist IDF .. Get Shot On the way to Kever Yoisef ..

Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists on Tuesday night fired shots at a car in which three Breslov hasidim were traveling.

The hasidim, who had entered Joseph's Tomb in the city of Shechem (Nablus) without coordinating with the IDF, suffered light injuries in the shooting.

The three escaped by vehicle and traveled to Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center, where they received medical treatment.

The vehicle sustained damage as well.

Earlier this year, a group of radical haredim entered the Shechem (Nablus) on foot on Sunday night in an attempt to reach Joseph's Tomb to pray, even though there was an organized group from the Samaria Regional Council visiting it.

Netanyahu Details Obama’s Pressure ... wanted 1967 Borders, Palestinian Statehood and Outreach to Muslim World and Iran

During his corruption trial testimony on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflected on his challenging relationship with former U.S. President Barack Obama and disclosed that he had been invited to a confidential visit to Afghanistan.

When asked about difficulties he faced between 2016 and 2017, Netanyahu emphasized that navigating his relationship with President Obama was a significant challenge. “At our first White House meeting, he outlined a significant shift in U.S. policy, focusing on outreach to the Muslim world and Iran,” Netanyahu stated.

He elaborated: “Regarding Israel, Obama believed strongly in returning to the 1967 borders and establishing a Palestinian state, viewing it as the solution to broader regional issues. From the outset, there was intense pressure to implement a construction freeze beyond the Green Line, including neighborhoods like Gilo in Jerusalem. I faced immense pressure and had to work tirelessly to resist these demands.”

Netanyahu also shared an unexpected anecdote during his testimony, revealing that Obama had invited him on a covert trip to Afghanistan to observe U.S. military training operations for local forces.

Climate change ‘greatly overestimated’? Oceans cooling Earth far more than we thought

When it comes to climate change, a new study finds that our fear over the planet’s health may be “greatly overestimated.” For the first time, researchers have found oceans help cool global temperatures more than anyone previously thought.

Specifically, sulfur gas produced by marine life emits a second compound that significantly cools the planet. The discovery will help create more accurate climate models and provide another tool to slow global warming.

With almost three-fourths of Earth covered by oceans, the waters capture and redistribute the Sun’s heat. The latest study in Science Advances shows the process goes much deeper than that. The oceans also create sulfur gases that create particles to cool the Earth, such as brightening clouds that reflect heat.

How to make sense of the latest news ... A Torah Perspective

None of us is going to miss Bashar Assad who escaped from Syria yesterday.
But what exactly is going on here?

Without a Jewish perspective on recent events, it’s easy to think that the world has gone mad—that everything has become chaotic, out-of-control, and scary. But it’s important to understand the story as it really is.

We are witnessing a process with a clear direction and purpose. History is unfolding before our eyes, changes of biblical proportions. The Jewish people are returning to their ancestral land after 2,000 years of exile, and it’s not a simple process. We must teach the world to distinguish between good and evil, pure and impure. Whoever participates in this mission will be blessed, but those who interfere with this process will be relegated to the trash heap of history.

The nation of Israel is small but eternal; our enemies are great in number but transient. Sunday  marked another historic day: After 52 years of tyrannical rule, the Assad regime has crumbled overnight and Israeli forces have crossed into Syria.

Do we remember the president of Iran who was killed in a plane crash? The explosive pager attack targeting Hezbollah? The elimination of Nasralla? Sinwar’s elimination in Gaza? And what about the countless clandestine operations we will never hear about?

Events are still in progress and we don’t really know how it will all end. How amusing (or sad) it is now to reflect on the geopolitical analyses written by “experts” only 24 hours ago.

In the face of such upheaval, it is important, first of all, to rejoice over the downfall of yet another despot. One must continue to hope for a good outcome, to pray, and to strengthen oneself with Torah study. We must acknowledge the efforts and courage of those who brought about these changes (especially those working behind the scenes), and to recognize the complexity of this situation, filled with pain and hope. And finally, it is essential that we remain humble and hold on to our faith.

We should also keep in mind that we are now in the midst of Kislev—the month in which we celebrate Chanukah— and are reminded of the importance of preserving our identity, and that there can be victories and salvations, miracles and wonders, not only “in those days” but also in “this time.” The Maccabees didn’t realize while fighting the Greeks that their victory would be celebrated with a new holiday. Fifty years from now, how will we look back on the days we are going through now?

The events of Simchat Torah 5784 were more shocking than we could have ever imagined. May we soon be surprised by all the good, beyond our wildest dreams, that will come our way, Amen.

Killer caught scarfing down hash browns at McDonald’s before arrest for UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s assassination

Accused CEO killer Luigi Mangione made at least one crucial mistake before his bust at an Altoona, Pa., McDonald’s on Monday — he lowered his face mask to munch on some hash browns, new photos show.

The snaps capture UnitedHealthcare chief Brian Thompson’s alleged murderer both with his blue paper mask on and then removing its left ear strap — leaving the mask dangling from his right ear but fully exposing his face.

Someone in the fast-food joint recognized the anti-capitalist Ivy League grad from surveillance photos distributed by authorities nationwide in their frenzied hunt for the Manhattan killer, and he was promptly taken into custody.

The 26-year-old man’s full face was captured on camera at a New York City hostel after he dropped his mask to flash a smile at a flirty front desk staffer, cops said.

Pennsylvania State Police posted the Mickey D’s snaps on X on Tuesday in a push to try to figure out exactly where Mangione was and what he was doing for the five days he was on the lam.

“Law enforcement continues to seek the public’s help in gathering information on Luigi Mangione’s travel and recent whereabouts in Pennsylvania,’’ the agency said.

Mangione — a privileged onetime prep-school valedictorian from Towson, Md., and tech-whiz University of Pennsylvania grad — allegedly killed Thompson because he was furious over the profit-driven healthcare industry in the US.

Thompson, a 50-year-old married dad of two, was executed on a Midtown street last week as he was about to enter a hotel for a conference.

Mangione had been battling his own health issues, including a bad back, and may have been fuming about the healthcare industry’s treatment of a relative, too, law enforcement sources have said.

He viewed Thomson’s killing as a “symbolic takedown” of the healthcare industry, according to law enforcement sources who have reviewed a three-page manifesto found on the suspected killer when he was caught.

Even New York Times Says that UNRWA employees were Hamas, Islamic Jihad operatives

The New York Times has confirmed that UNRWA employees in Gaza were also terrorists affiliated with the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror groups and were provided with weapons.

According to the report, at least 24 people employed in 24 different UNRWA schools were members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or another terror group. Most of the two dozen served as principals, vice principals, school counselors, and teachers.

Among the trove of documents Israel seized are secret Hamas plans showing that the terror group believes that schools and other civilian sites are "the best obstacles to protect the resistance."

In several cases, these educators remained in their positions even after UNRWA was informed that they were terrorists. The dual terrorist-UNRWA employee profile is not unique to Gaza: In September, a Hamas terrorist serving as a school principal in Lebanon was eliminated. That terrorist formerly headed UNWRA's teachers' union in Lebanon as well.

UNRWA has claimed that it takes the "allegations" seriously, and told the Times that one employee had been placed on administrative leave and the UN had requested additional information on ten others.

Gaza residents said in interviews that the matter was an "open secret" and that one educator was regularly seen after hours in Hamas fatigues and carrying a Kalashnikov rifle.

At least one-third of the 24 were given the tools to participate in active combat, the Times added. At least one of the employees participated in a rocket-launching training course in 2023.

Terror Attack In Bnei Brak: 1 Injured, Arab Driver Arrested

An Arab driver rammed into passersby in Bnei Brak on Tuesday evening.

United Hatzalah paramedics administered emergency medical aid to a 21-year-old man who was lightly injured and evacuated him to Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in the city.

The driver attempted to flee the scene but was arrested shortly later by police forces called to the scene.

The police are investigating if the incident was an accident or a nationalistic attack. There is a remote possibility that the Arab had stolen the car and was speeding away from the scene of the crime.

Woman who wants to‘Defund the Police’ Gets Mocked After Thieves Steal Her U-Haul

A woman who wanted to “defund the police” in 2022, is now complaining about thieves who apparently stole “everything” she owned from a U-Haul truck. The woman is being ridiculed on social media due to the — ahem, irony of her situation.

“Hey guys. If you see a 26 foot uhaul truck with the Arizona plate AL50003- would you let me know because it had like everything I own on it,” Darcie Bell, who goes by @neo_antiquarian on X, wrote.

She called on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to help “get my stuff back”:

“… but also; maybe you could do something to make sure that companies like uhaul put gps on their vehicles so when theft occurs, I could at least know where my stuff went,” she added.

In a follow-up post, she gave the thieves permission to keep most of her possessions but to return the “sentimental stuff”:

In 2022, Bell complained that “promises to defund cops” were not fulfilled:

“When we locked down & people had time to get angry & organize, we took to the streets to demand justice. Lots of promises to defund cops that never happened. No matter how bad this pandemic gets, they’ll never give us the ability to do that again,” Bell said. “They’ll always prioritize cops.”

Alvin Bragg 'most surprised' by Daniel Penny acquittal 'Not how he planned this'

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is likely the person "most surprised" by ex-Marine Daniel Penny's "not guilty" verdict, George Washington Law professor Jonathan Turley told Fox News shortly after the jury's decision.

"[The acquittal] was not entirely expected because this is not, obviously, how District Attorney Bragg had planned this," the constitutional scholar said Monday on "The Faulkner Focus."

"The way the case was going was along the sort of design that Bragg had to force a compromise verdict. When the jury deadlocked over the more serious crime, the judge went ahead and allowed them to consider this lesser offense. That is basically what Bragg had hoped, that if he could not get a conviction on the more serious crime, which was unlikely, that they would come back and compromise and convict him on the lesser offense, which still came with a potential penalty of four years.

"So I think that the most surprised person in that room may be Alvin Bragg because you have a jury that apparently couldn't agree on the more serious offense, but then they came back, and they said, but we do agree that he's not guilty of the lesser offense, so it's not exactly how this was supposed to play out in his view."

Penny was acquitted of the lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide in the chokehold death case days after two failed attempts to reach a unanimous verdict on the more serious second-degree manslaughter charge led Judge Maxwell Wiley to grant the prosecution's motion to dismiss it on Friday.

Many legal experts speculated the move set the stage for a conviction on the lesser charge, amplifying the shock that came with the jury's decision.

Critics who insist charges should have never been brought against Penny speculated Bragg's actions were politically motivated.

"What's going to be difficult for Alvin Bragg is that he always has the ability to try to bring another case for the more serious offense, but I think that would be very difficult now because you have a jury that just said we don't think he's guilty of the lesser offense and the standard for criminal negligence is vanishingly light in the view of many criminal defense attorneys. It doesn't take a whole lot," Turley continued.

"So if he couldn't convict on that, it would be particularly outrageous for him to try any further prosecution. I don't expect that."

Penny was accused of both charges after Jordan Neely, a 30-year-old homeless man with schizophrenia, barged onto a New York City subway, shouting death threats while high on a type of synthetic marijuana known as K2.

Neely's father, who was present in the courtroom when the verdict was read, was escorted out of the courthouse after allegedly snapping.

Black Lives Matter activists are now seething, threatening to protest the outcome of the trial.

Lying FBI Director Out!

It was only a matter of time before FBI Director Christopher Wray was out.

Even though he still has three years left in his 10-year appointment, the FBI director serves at the pleasure of the president. Wray, who replaced the noxious James Comey in the position, did little better to engender trust in the bureau and ingratiated himself just as well with what we'd call "deep state" types -- unaccountable bureaucrats who think the real power should reside with them, not the people, and get their way most of the time.

But, if you think Wray is leaving without a fight -- well, according to reports, that's exactly what's going to happen.
