Lakewood Ponzi Schemer Eli Weinstein Who Got a Pardon from Trump Gets 37 years for a new Scheme Against Frum Jews

This is the fault of the Lakewood askanim and rabbanim, who didn't allow anyone who knew anything while the scheme was going on to go to the authorities!

The rabbanim told those who had lost millions that going to the authorities is "mesirah" and that is straight out of ama-ratzes! Doing anything to prevent another Jew from losing money to a Ponzi scheme is actually a mitzvah and if it takes going to secular authorities, then that's what has to be done! The "Shel Torah" needs to be renamed "Ir Shel Amaratzim"

New York resident Eliyahu (Eli) Weinstein (51), who was released from custody in 2021 after receiving a pardon from President Donald Trump, has been sentenced to 37 years in prison for a new fraud scheme.

According to prosecutors, Weinstein, who belongs to the Orthodox Jewish community, used the alias "Mike Konig" to conceal his identity and solicited money from investors claiming he would invest in COVID masks, baby formula and emergency equipment destined for Ukraine.

The money was actually used for gambling, real estate purchases and luxury watches.

The federal court in New Jersey determined that Weinstein defrauded more than 150 investors of $41 million and ordered him to pay $44 million in restitution.

US District Judge Michael Shipp said Weinstein had received “a gift that few have received in the United States” and that he “squandered” it by immediately returning to crime. Victims told the court Weinstein ruined families and stole life savings, and prosecutors said he has taken a quarter of a billion dollars from investors over the past twenty years.

Weinstein’s co-defendant Ari Bromberg received twelve years. Prosecutors revealed that two associates secretly recorded Weinstein admitting the fraud, saying he “finagled and Ponzied and lied to people to cover us for our deals.” He was convicted of securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and making false statements.

Weinstein still owes more than two hundred twenty eight million dollars in restitution from his first Ponzi scheme, which targeted many in the Orthodox Jewish community. His attorney says he is innocent and will appeal.

US drone watched from above as Iran seized oil tanker

Iranian forces seized a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, the first confirmed capture of a commercial vessel by Tehran since its June clashes with Israel and the United States, according to multiple governments and maritime agencies.

The Talara, sailing from the United Arab Emirates toward Singapore, broke from its course in the Gulf of Oman Friday after several small craft converged on the vessel, maritime security firms reported.

A US defense official who spoke on condition of anonymity said an American military drone tracked the takeover from overhead.

Flight-tracking data showed that a US Navy MQ-4C Triton drone had been circling above the area where the Talara was for hours on Friday, observing the seizure.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps acknowledged responsibility a day later.

UN rapporteur "Yenta" claims no 'independent investigation' found rape committed on Oct. 7

United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women Reem Alsalem falsely claimed that there was "no rape" committed during the Hamas massacre of October 7, 2023.

In a rant on X on Friday, Alsalem bizarrely claimed that no independent investigation found that rape took place on the 7th of October."

She went on to engage in moral equivalence between Israel and the Hamas rapists and butchers, stating: “For those who naively believe that Israeli perpetrators of sexual violence against Palestinians will ever be investigated and prosecuted, think again."

Despite Alsalem's claims, a UN investigation found in 2024 that there were “reasonable grounds” to believe that Hamas terrorists committed rape during the October 7 massacre.

In August, 2025, the UN added Hamas to its blacklist of organizations that commit sexual crimes in violent conflicts.

Defense Minister clarifies: 'A Palestinian state will not be established'

Defense Minister Israel Katz responded Sunday morning to the U.S. proposal submitted to the United Nations, which includes steps signaling the possible future establishment of a Palestinian state.

“The policy of Israel is clear: no Palestinian state will be established,” Katz wrote. “The IDF will remain on Mount Hermon and in the security zone. Gaza will be demilitarized down to the last tunnel, and Hamas will be disarmed on the Israeli-controlled side by the IDF, and in old Gaza either by an international force or by the IDF.”

The American proposal states, among other things, that “once the Palestinian Authority’s reform plan is implemented, conditions may be achieved for a path toward self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state. The United States will facilitate dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a political horizon for coexistence in peace and prosperity.”

The proposal also specifies that alongside the work of an international stabilization force, in coordination with Israel and Egypt to stabilize Gaza and replace Hamas rule and the IDF’s presence there, a Palestinian Arab police force will also operate “to help maintain order along the border.”

Violent Civil War Amongst Chareidim ...A real "Milchemesh Mitzvah

DIN: This is nothing new, as I always say, "Charedim Hate Each Other" They are like Arabs who kill each other and unite against Israel, so do Chareidim, they would kill each other and unite against the Zionists!

Satmar Ahronim hate Satmar Zalonim, Bobov 45 hates Bobov 48, Ger hates Ger, Sadegera hates Sadegera,  In Ponovitz the Bais Hamedrish is divided between the haters, I could go on and on! Peleg hates them all! And now the litvishishe parties themselves hating each other!

Chaos erupted in Yerushalayim on Motzei Shabbos as Shas MK Yoav Ben Tzur was violently attacked by a mob of extremist chareidim while leaving the weekly shiur of Hagaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef. The rioters targeted the lawmaker over his party’s apparent backing of the coalition’s Chareidi conscription bill.

According to Galei Tzahal reporter Daniel Grovais, a simultaneous protest was also held outside the home of UTJ MK Yaakov Asher, where demonstrators clashed with police.

Witnesses say the pack surrounding Ben Tzur’s car went completely out of control—smashing the windshield, hurling garbage bags, jumping on the vehicle, and ripping off the license plate. Police officers eventually managed to extract Ben Tzur from what onlookers described as an attempted lynching, with claims that he was beaten and had various objects thrown at him.

Shas released a statement condemning the attack, calling it “a severe act of violence carried out by a small group of rioters,” adding that such behavior is a chillul Hashem and “not the way of the Torah.”

Opposition leader Yair Lapid also spoke out, saying the assault “is not the way of the Torah and not the way of the State of Israel,” and calling for the attackers to be dealt with harshly.

Police confirmed the details in an official statement, saying dozens of rioters ambushed an elected official, damaged his vehicle, and threw garbage bags at him. Officers from the Lev HaBira station and Border Police rescued him without injury, though the vehicle sustained damage.

Police added that forces dispersed the attackers, are hunting down suspects, and consider the attack a serious attempt to harm a public official.
