DOJ attempts to jail Hunter Biden’s ex-partner Devon Archer to prevent him from testifying to Congress

 

What a coincidence! 

On the eve of Devon Archer’s bombshell testimony to the House Oversight Committee, the Department of Justice tried to put him in jail. 

If you don’t suspect that’s an attempt to intimidate Hunter Biden’s former best friend before he reveals damaging secrets about the president, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. 

It’s another example of a DOJ gone astray. 

Coming hot on the heels of the first son’s dubious plea deal in Delaware collapsing last week, and amid allegations from senior IRS whistleblowers of political favoritism by prosecutors to protect Joe Biden, you have to wonder how far a weaponized, all-powerful, unaccountable justice system can go. 

Two more examples from the past week tell you the sky’s the limit — and they’re not even bothering to hide it anymore. 

On Wednesday, federal prosecutors dropped campaign-finance violation charges against cryptocurrency billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, who just so happens to have been Biden’s second-biggest donor.

On Thursday, new charges against Biden’s chief political rival, Donald Trump, were filed by special counsel Jack Smith over the former president’s handling of classified files. 

A protester against a yeshiva was burned during the protest and treated by a medic from that same yeshiva.

 

During a leftist demonstration this morning (Sunday) in front of the 'Har Hamor' yeshiva in Jerusalem, one of the demonstrators was burned due to the use of a flare.

The medic who was called to the scene and was recorded live on Facebook is none other than a student of the Har Hamor yeshiva, the yeshiva the demonstrators were protesting in front of. The medic treated her and even brought an anti-burn agent to help her.

In the meantime, it was also reported to Israel National News that following the demonstration, there was a large increase in registrations for the 'Eternal Life' conference hosted by the yeshiva when educators from all over the country heard about the conference and tried to attend, even though it had already started.

Since last night, when the announcements about the expected demonstration began, the organizers received calls asking to register. And now, after the demonstration in front of the yeshiva, the number of participants is only increasing. Only about an hour after the start of the conference and about 1500 had already arrived.

A group of Demonrat lawmakers are advancing an official congressional resolution in support of Israel's protest movement against the judicial reform, Haaretz reported.

The resolution, which would not be binding for the US government, would reflect if accepted the public opinion among Democratic Party voters, and may encourage the demented President Joe Biden to continue his opposition to the judicial overhaul.

This declaration of support was initiated by Jewish congresswomen Jan Schakowsky, who has been joined by a number of prominent party lawmakers, including the official kocker Jerry Nadler, former chairman of the Constitution Committee in the House of Representatives, and Jamie Raskin, who led the investigation into the January 6th insurrection in Washington, according to Haaretz.

Schakowsky mumbled that the resolution in support of the protesters is intended to strengthen the public in Israel who are fighting for the shared values of Israel and the US.

Oh oh! Medicaid Going after Homes !

 

Rebecca Miller said her father was on Medicaid for about two years and she served as his caretaker at his home after he was diagnosed in 2018 with Parkinson’s disease, from which he died last August.

About 30 days later while still mourning David Miller’s passing, the 36-year-old said she received a letter from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office stating her father owed $56,000 to Medicaid Estate Recovery.

The Medicaid collection program was foreign to the Clinton County woman, as it is to the vast majority of people, attorneys said.

The state notice was a jolt, informing Miller that her father’s house — for which she said the mortgage has been paid in full and is “the only real home that I’ve ever known” — was at risk, potentially leaving her homeless.

The AG’s letter stated “that they were going to take the place because of a $56,000 lien from Medicaid,” she said. “I’ve even called Medicaid myself to find out why — what kind of services are you saying (he owes) $56,000 for?”

Fox spotted along walls of Temple Mount sparks talk of prophecy

 

A fox was spotted along the southern wall of the Temple Mount on Wednesday night, as Tisha Be'Av, the day when the two Temples of Jerusalem were destroyed, was marked.

The sighting of the fox went viral, with social media users saying the sighting was a sign of a prophecy coming true.

The social media users were referencing a story related in Tractate Makkot (24b) in which Rabbi Akiva, Rabban Gamliel, Rabbi Elazar ben Azarya, and Rabbi Yehoshua visited the site of the destroyed Second Temple.

When the rabbis arrived at the site, they saw a fox emerge from the site of the Holy of Holies and began weeping, although Rabbi Akiva began laughing. The rabbis asked Rabbi Akiva why he was laughing as a fox walked in a site about which the Torah wrote "And the non-priest who approaches shall die."

Rabbi Akiva responded that the appearance of the fox coincided with a prophecy given by the prophet Uriah in which he stated “Therefore, for your sake Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become rubble, and the Temple Mount as the high places of a forest (where foxes are found).” (Although the prophecy appears in Micah 3:12, there is a rabbinic tradition that it was prophesied by Uriah and not Micah.)

Rabbi Akiva noted that the prophet Isaiah linked the prophecy to Uriah to the prophecy of Zecharia (a prophet during the Second Temple period) which reads "There shall yet be elderly men and elderly women sitting in the streets of Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 8:4)

"Until the prophecy of Uriah was fulfilled I was afraid that the prophecy of Zechariah would not be fulfilled. Now that the prophecy of Uriah was fulfilled, it is evident that the prophecy of Zechariah remains valid," said Rabbi Akiva.

"[The Sages] said to him, employing this formulation: Akiva, you have comforted us; Akiva, you have comforted us," concludes the story in the Gemara.

This isn't the first time in recent years that foxes have been spotted near the walls of the Temple Mount.

In 2019, foxes were spotted near the Western Wall.

At the time, the rabbi of the Western Wall and the Holy Places Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz stated that "It was impossible not to cry at the sight of the fulfillment of the prophecy of 'Foxes walked in it' on the evening of Tisha Be'Av."

"We, who were Rabbi Akiva's students, remember how he consoled his friends when they saw the same image, immediately after the destruction of the Temple. May it be that just as we were privileged to see with our own eyes what Rabbi Akiva and his friends saw, so we will be privileged to witness what Rabbi Akiva promised his friends, soon in our time, Amen."

It Is Biden Not the Saudis That is Setting Conditions for Israeli-Saudi Rapprochement on 2-State Solution

 

NY Times pundit Thomas Friedman revealed on Thursday that neither Saudi Arabia nor Israel cares a hoot about the future of a Palestinian State, and the only one pushing for the 2-state solution as a condition for peace between Riyad and Jerusalem is President Joe Biden.

“When I interviewed President Biden in the Oval Office last week,” Friedman wrote on Thursday, it turned out that in addition to meddling in Israel’s internal affairs and judicial reform legislation, “The president is wrestling with whether to pursue the possibility of a US-Saudi mutual security pact that would involve Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel, provided that Israel make concessions to the Palestinians that would preserve the possibility of a two-state solution.”

According to Friedman, “the president still has not made up his mind whether to proceed, but he gave a green light for his team to probe with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia to see if some kind of deal is possible and at what price.”

Arab News confirmed on Thursday that Crown Prince bin Salman met with White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Jeddah, and “they also discussed regional and international developments of common interest.”

Nothing whatsoever about a deal with Israel, but that’s to be expected given the nature of the kingdom.
