"DovBear"A Frum Leftist Blogger Gets Into a Heated Twitter Exchange with Turx of Ami

As you all know, I'm not a fan of Ami Magazine, and I cannot believe that I'm defending one of its writers who goes by the pen name "Turx"

Turx took the conservative congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene on a tour of Boro-Park, to give her a feeling of how religious Jews act and behave and to give her an education on Jewish matters.

Greene a shiksa, supports Christian Nationalism as do most Christians. And like it or not the US is a Christian Country founded by Christians.
Greene is not the sharpest blade in the drawer, and she shoots from the hip without filter and has made some outrageous remarks vis-a-vis Jews; she has always walked back her comments. Greene actually introduced a bill in congress that "prohibited assistance to the West Bank and Gaza that directly benefits the Palestinian Authority"
Because of her outrageous comments, Turx saw fit to befriend her and give her the "other side of the story"

DovBear the a "frum" far-leftist blogger who lives in Canada, is a Zionist and defends Israel. But he did hate Trump with a passion and hates the right wing conservative political party. In a Twitter exchange he attacks Turz for giving Greene a tour

A Twitter war has erupted among Orthodox Jews, over conservative congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

It began when an outspoken leftist Jew accused MTG of being an antisemite, in part because she supports Christian Nationalism.

The blogger, known as “Dov Bear”, sarcastically wrote on Twitter: “Why is Trump, our super best friend, toying with elevating a self proclaimed Christian nationalist who attends Nazi events and spreads anti-semetic lies?”

He also insinuated that Ami Magazine’s Turx helped MTG spread “propaganda”, saying: “Did @JakeTurx see this coming? What did he and MTG discuss during the propaganda tour of Boro Park?”

In response, Turx suggested that Jews who rampantly label people they don’t agree with as “Nazis” and antisemites are actually stoking hatred.

Dov Bear accused Turx of “blaming antisemitism on the Jews.”

At one point Turx defended his position by saying: “For years I’ve been abused, harassed & bullied by leftists – who seem to know zero about me or my positions – and I’ve never responded in kind. I can handle y’all. But when Jews act this way against strangers, don’t act too surprised when some of them conclude all Jews are jerks.”

Israeli Ex-Minister Yaakov Litzman Sentenced Over Australia Sex Abuse Case

An Israeli court sentenced a former health minister to probation and a fine on Monday for obstructing justice in connection with the protracted extradition case against a former teacher accused of sexually abusing her students in Australia.

Yaakov Litzman, a former health minister and longtime ally of former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, resigned from parliament earlier this year after striking a plea deal with prosecutors. He was accused of pressuring ministry employees to alter psychiatric evaluations to make it appear that Malka Leifer was unfit to stand trial.

Leifer was extradited to Australia in January 2021 after a six-year legal battle that strained relations between the two countries and angered Australia’s Jewish community. Leifer has pleaded not guilty to the charges and her trial is expected to start later this month.

Litzman was health minister during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic but resigned in April 2020 in the face of a public uproar over his handling of the crisis. He was charged with fraud and breach of trust earlier this year, but pleaded guilty to the breach of trust charge in the Leifer case.

In Monday’s hearing, the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court upheld the plea deal and sentenced Litzman to eight months of probation and a $900 fine.

He and Leifer are members of the country’s insular ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. Last year, then-Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said Litzman had used his position “to advance the interests of private individuals.”

As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dropped charges that Litzman used his influence to prevent a friend’s deli from being shut down over health concerns.

The Movement for Quality Government in Israel said the court’s acceptance of the “lenient and shameful” plea deal erodes public trust and law enforcement’s ability to perform its duty.

FBI Acting like Third World Marxist Dictatorships Raid Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Home

Former President Donald Trump said in a lengthy statement Monday that the FBI was conducting a search of his Mar-a-Lago estate and asserted that agents had broken open a safe. A person familiar with the matter said the action was related to a probe of whether Trump had taken classified records from his White House tenure to his Florida residence.

The action, which the FBI and Justice Department did not immediately confirm, marks a dramatic escalation in law enforcement scrutiny of Trump and comes as he has been laying the groundwork to make another bid for president. Though a search warrant does not suggest that criminal charges are near or even expected, federal officials looking to obtain one must demonstrate that they have probable cause that a crime occurred.

“After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” Trump said in his statement.

He added: “These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.”

Justice Department spokesperson Dena Iverson declined to comment on the search, including about whether Attorney General Merrick Garland had personally authorized the search.

A person familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation, said the search happened earlier Monday and agents were also looking to see if Trump had additional presidential records or any classified documents at the estate.

The Justice Department has been investigating the presence of classified records inside 15 boxes that were retrieved from Mar-a-Lago by the National Archives and Records Administration earlier this year. The Archives then referred the matter to the Justice Department.

Federal law bars the removal of classified documents to unauthorized locations, though it is possible that Trump could try to argue that, as president, he was the ultimate declassification authority.

Thousands of Brave Jews Ascend Har Habayis On Tisha B’av

Some 2,000 Jews ascended the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Sunday to mark Tisha B’Av, the fast day that began the night before that commemorates the destruction of the two biblical temples.

The visits to Judaism’s holiest site took place amid an ongoing conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which fired rockets towards the holy city on Sunday morning, setting off sirens in surrounding areas.

Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system intercepted the projectiles.

Among the visitors to the Temple Mount on Sunday was Israeli lawmaker Itamar Ben-Gvir, head of the Otzma Yehudit Party, who told Kan Reshet Bet in a radio interview that Palestinian Islamic Jihad missiles “do not deter me.”

“We are in charge here,” he said, adding, “If we blink, they will continue. If we pound them, they will fold.”

Meanwhile, three Jews were detained on Sunday for violating the Israeli government’s prohibition against Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount, Kan reported. The report cited police sources as saying they had “no intention of allowing any provocations or disturbances in Jerusalem at the site.”

Police said that a number of Muslim worshippers near the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is located on the Temple Mount, were also arrested for “disturbing the peace, being provocative … [and] making inciteful remarks.”

Some Muslim worshippers reportedly shouted at Ben-Gvir, “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is Greatest,” and “slaughter the Jew,” to which the parliamentarian retorted: “Am Yisrael Chai,” or “The People of Israel Lives.”

Why Now? An Analysis of What's Going on in Israel & Gaza? by an Arab Leader

by  Mudar Adnan Zahran, he is the secretary General of the Jordan Opposition Coalition and a Palestinian Arab leader.

Israel recently killed a military leader of the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad terror group in Gaza. Tayseer al-Jabari, who was killed by an Israeli airstrike on 5 August, was the key military commander for the said group and has been considered the group’s leader since 2019. The killing was the first step in what Israel named Operation Breaking Dawn to target Islamic Jihad operations and installations in Gaza.

As Israel Eliminates the Entire "Palestinian Islamic Jihad" in Gaza .. Hamas Decides to so far Stay Out of War .. But for how long?

The latest confrontation between Israel and Gaza’s terrorists does not have its origins in the Hamas-run Strip.

To some extent, it began in Jenin on Monday night, when the IDF arrested the West Bank leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terror group, Bassem Saadi, 61. Repeatedly jailed by Israel over the years, Saadi had been establishing “a significant military force for the organization in [the northern West Bank] in general and in Jenin in particular” in recent months, according to the Shin Bet security service.

To a still wider extent, however, it can be traced to Iran, which has reportedly funneled tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars to PIJ in recent years to finance its recruiting and its weaponry in both Gaza and the West Bank.

For more than three days in the wake of Saadi’s arrest, facing what Israeli officials said Friday were “concrete” threats that PIJ was bent on avenging his capture by targeting Israeli civilians and soldiers near the Gaza border, Israel imposed a semi-lockdown on its residents near the Strip, bolstered its troop deployments, and warned Islamic Jihad via Egyptian mediators to stand down.
