Yossie Mizrachi Takes Time off from His Pilagshim to Bash Israel

I have to hand it to him—he somehow manages to juggle his pilagshim and still find time to deliver his “lectures.”

At the 6:50 mark, Mizrachi claims he fears Iran will bombard Israel with missiles. Although he insists he knows everything is from Hashem, he now believes that because of the “lefties and the Supreme Court,” Hashem might allow Iran to strike.

Absolutely not. Hashem is not concerned with the Left or the Israeli Supreme Court. If anything, Hashem is concerned with the fake YouTube “rabbis” who cheat on their families!

It reminds me of the story with the Brisker Rav. A talmid once asked him, “How will Moshiach ever come with the Zionists and Ben Gurion in control?” The Brisker Rav replied, “You think the Zionists and Ben Gurion are holding back Moshiach? The ones holding back Moshiach are the talmidim in the Beis Medrash who hate each other.”

Then Yossi launches into a maniacal tirade, spewing lies and fabricated stories. He compares Israel—the only Jewish state and home to the majority of the Jewish people—to the Greeks before the destruction of the Second Beis HaMikdash, claiming the government arrested yeshiva bochurim to stop them from learning Torah.

Everyone, including Charedim, knows this is false. They were not arrested “for learning Torah.” They were arrested for draft dodging.

He continues with stories he clearly invented, shielding his fantasies by claiming “the press didn’t report it.”

Every one of his claims is a blatant lie. Israel has more mosdos haTorah than anywhere else in the world. More Torah is learned in Israel than in any other place on earth.

Not a single Jew has ever been arrested for learning Torah. In fact, the current controversy in the press is about the discovery that one billion shekels were transferred to Charedi institutions.

These boys were arrested for refusing to register. Israel is our country, and boys of eligible age are required to enlist in the IDF. There are Hesder yeshivos where students serve in the army and learn Torah. There are entire brigades today made up of young men from Charedi backgrounds. They’re not perfect—but neither are the yeshivos.

But Mr. Pilegish doesn’t stop there. He escalates his fantasies, claiming these boys were “tortured” for hours and days to force them to sign enlistment papers. He even alleges that the IDF sent “provocative women” to scream at them until they signed. Mr. Pilegish has quite an imagination, and he loves embellishing his stories with images of immodest women. He does this in many of his so‑called “lectures.”

Nearly all the boys who were arrested and served time for draft evasion later spoke to the Charedi press—and not a single one accused the army of anything remotely resembling Mr. Pilegish’s allegations. Not one.

In fact, the opposite is true as some of the ex-inmates compared Jail to a "summer camp" Naturally, he prefaces his lies by insisting “the press didn’t report it.”

Why wouldn’t the Charedi press report such a thing if it were true?
