With apologies to Mark Twain, reports about the death of Trumpism are premature. At least for a few days more, Donald Trump has license to keep upsetting apple carts in Washington.

Just when it seemed the president was roadkill and about to be abandoned by his own party, growing numbers of GOP members of Congress are signing on to a last-ditch effort to challenge the election results. Because success in any state would require a majority of both houses to vote no, the objectors are virtually certain to fail. 

Yet the swelling ranks of supporters in both chambers signals that it’s still Trump’s party and that enough of his 74.2 million voters are sticking with him that the pols have concluded it’s not politically healthy to go against him. 

Most important, the challengers have more than enough clout to force debates on each state they dispute, and to require every member of Congress to vote yes or no on whether to accept the results as reported.

US Official: ‘Growing body of evidence’ shows COVID-19 leaked from Chinese lab

 

U.S. National Security Adviser Matthew Pottinger is doubling down on the theory that COVID-19 leaked from a Chinese government-run lab in Wuhan. 

Pottinger, a staunch critic of Beijing, allegedly made the claim in a recent Zoom meeting with British officials.

“There is a growing body of evidence that the lab is likely the most credible source of the virus,” Pottinger reportedly said, according to the Daily Mail. 

The Trump appointee pushed the theory as the European Union made a new investment deal with China last week over protests from Pottinger and hesitance from the incoming Biden administration.

Pottinger, one of the first U.S. officials to raise alarms inside White House walls about the origins of the virus back in January 2020, has reportedly suspected since the early days of the outbreak that the coronavirus originated in a Chinese lab.

He ordered U.S. intelligence agencies to search for evidence that it had, the New York Times reported in April. 

A Chinese virologist who said she did some of the earliest research on COVID-19 has publicly claimed COVID-19 was man-made, and that the Chinese government covered up its dangers. Western medical experts have discredited the theory.

The World Health Organization has been investigating the source of the virus since the first case was made public in January 2020. Patient Zero has not been found. 

Pottinger suggested in the recent call with British officials that the WHO probe is a ruse.

“MPs around the world have a moral role to play in exposing the WHO investigation as a Potemkin exercise,” Pottinger told the parliamentarians, referring to fake villages created in Crimea in the 18th Century to convince the visiting Russian Empress Catherine the Great that the region was in good health.

“Even establishment figures in Beijing have openly dismissed the wet market story,” Pottinger allegedly said, referring to another theory that the virus was transmitted from animals to humans inside a wildlife market in Wuhan where the first cluster of cases emerged.

Media Is Burying the Fact that Hospitals in CALI Are Overwhelmed by non-citizens

Read this and weep ... they are not telling you that 90% of the patients are illegals ... 

I am not suggesting they shouldn't be treated ... of course they should ... but wait till Biden brings in millions more ..all our hospitals near the Mexican boarders will be totally overwhelmed ..

Overflowing hospital morgues, increased 911 wait times, beds only opening when patients die. Hospitals in California, where almost all of the state’s 40 million residents are living under stay-at-home orders, are seeing historic stress points.The surge of new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations is pushing hospitals in Los Angeles County to the “brink of catastrophe,” a top health official there said.To the north in Santa Clara, one doctor said: “What we are seeing now, is not normal.”Every day since November 7, Covid-19 hospitalizations in California have increased.

As of Thursday, 21,449 Covid-19 patients were in hospital beds throughout the state, with more than 4,500 of those in intensive care units.

“We are in the midst of a disaster,” Los Angeles County Director of Emergency Medical Services Agency Cathy Chidester said, talking about the challenges faced by hospitals due to the lack of resources and staffing. The amount of oxygen required for each coronavirus patient is putting extreme pressure on the hospital, according to Chidester. 

They also are running out of ambulances while response times to 911 calls are getting longer and longer, she said.Los Angeles County shattered its record of the highest number of coronavirus deaths reported on a single day since the start of the pandemic with 290 deaths Thursday, according to data from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. 

The high number of deaths includes a backlog of cases from the holidays as well as an internet service interruption. “As we see 2020 come to a close, we’re experiencing extreme conditions in L.A. County,” Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer said at a news conference.

“With no decline in the number of new cases, our hospitals continue to be overwhelmed as more and more people are rushed to hospitals.”The medical examiner’s office, which is accepting overflow from hospitals that don’t have any more room in their morgues, is also expected to receive help from the California National Guard on Monday.

While no hospitals in the L.A. County have formally declared they are operating under “crisis care,” health officials have said that some Southern California hospitals have put in place practices that would be a part of crisis care, including redirecting ambulances when facilities are overwhelmed. Ferrer warned that the data trends will continue into January and hundreds of people will die each week. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said people need to stay home to help blunt surges from the holidays.”We are still going to have our toughest and darkest days,” Garcetti said. “It’s so critical we change our behavior. Everybody’s doing something but everybody can do more.”

Problems throughout the state

Doctors in Santa Clara, 45 miles south from San Francisco, are treating some critically ill patients in the emergency room, as there’s no room in intensive care units.

Israel Questioning If R' Chaim Kanievski Is Really Making Halachic Decisions

 

As we all know R' Chaim Kanievski paskened that everyone should take the Vaccine against covid.....

Well guess what?

A guy went to ask R' Chaim Kanievski whether he should vaccinate, telling the Rav that his wife is afraid to have the family take the vaccine...the Rav tells him not to take it 

He secretly recorded the entire conversation ... 

and you can clearly hear his question and R' Chaim answer  that he SHOULD NOT VACCINATE.... ...

As soon as Yanki Kanievski heard the conversation he ordered the guy into a separate room and wouldn't allow him to get out unless he erased the recording ...,,, he refused and so they tried convincing him that R' Chaim only paskened that the guy's wife shouldn't vaccinate but that the psak was not for the world...

The guy had to call police to get him out of there... and he then promptly told anyone who wanted to hear, that the psak of R' Chaim Kanievski was for everyone ...

Now the "litvishe" world is having conniptions because they are questioning all the recent halachic decisions of R' Chaim, that was publicised by the family and not heard directly from R' Chaim ..

They are convinced that all recent "halachic decisions" are decisions made by Yanki and his father.. and not by R' Chaim ...

The Kanievski family in a panic released a video where you hear R' Chaim say one should vaccinate but the very end of the video was erased

Israel Vaccinates Over 1 million People in Sprint to Vanquish Pandemic

Israel has vaccinated 1 million people against COVID-19, more than a tenth of its population, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday, as the country’s inoculation drive cemented its status as the world’s most rapid thus far.

Netanyahu was on hand to mark what he said was the millionth Israeli to receive a vaccine, in the Arab town of Umm al-Fahm.

Netanyahu called it a moment of “great excitement.”

“We are breaking all of the records. We brought millions of vaccines to the State of Israel,” he said. We are ahead of the entire world… with our excellent HMOs.”

AG Letitia James Recuses Herself from the Heimishe ParCare COVID-19 Vaccine Fraud Probe

State Attorney General Letitia James has recused herself from the ParCare vaccination probe “to avoid even an appearance of conflict,” her office told The Post.

The AG’s office will still investigate whether ParCare Community Health Network “fraudulently” obtained 2,300 doses of the coveted Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, a case referred by Gov. Cuomo,  but James will have “zero involvement,” officials said.

James is chummy with the boss of the embattled network, which runs four Brooklyn clinics, one in upstate Kiryas Joel and another in Harlem.

Virus Brings Soldiers and Charedim Closer Together

The relationship between the secular and the ultra-Orthodox sector in Israel has always been strained. But thanks to the coronavirus, the two parties are starting to be exposed to each more, and therefore understand each other better.

Israel instituted its first lockdown in March. Soldiers were stationed all over the country to enforce the Health Ministry guidelines.

"As soon as the IDF soldiers came to Bnei Brak, the dynamics of the relationship between them and the Haredim changed," explains Ben Barber, a public activist and member of the Bobov Hassidic dynasty.

"The Haredi community has come to understand the coronavirus better, and the soldiers were exposed to the religious community and learned how much they support each other.

"Because the two parties interacted directly, and not through the media, each one changed the way they thought about the other."

Barber aims to ease the ever-present tension between the ultra-Orthodox and secular population in order to create a better communication with the government.

"When two sides do not understand each other, it is only natural that there will be tension between them. We need to remember that we are all brothers and each one has its own unique way. I believe that in the long run, this idea will seep into the depths of our consciousness. There is a great opportunity right in front of us."

Dem Hypocrites Call Hawley’s Election Concerns ‘Coup Attempt’ After Objecting To Every GOP Certification This Century

 

Democrats are condemning Republican Sen. Josh Hawley for objecting to certifying the 2020 election results, even though they are guilty of doing the same thing for purely political reasons.

On Wednesday, Hawley announced he will object during the Electoral College certification process on Jan. 6, unless an election integrity and voter fraud investigation is called.

“I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on January 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws,” Hawley said, noting that some Democrats objected to the elections in 2004 and 2016.

“And I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere in this election, in support of Joe Biden,” he added. “At the very least, Congress should investigate allegations of voter fraud and adopt measures to secure the integrity of our elections. But Congress has so far failed to act.”

Hawley’s announcement was met with harsh backlash from politicians, journalists, and others on the left.
