Homeless man set free after slugging woman in random subway attack ...Had 77 Priors

A homeless man with 77 prior arrests sucker-punched a 68-year-old woman in a random attack inside a Manhattan subway station — and was only issued a desk appearance ticket before being set free, according to cops and police sources.

The victim was inside the 34th Street-Herald Square station, on the northbound R train platform, just before 8 p.m. Tuesday when John Chappell, 64, suddenly clobbered her in the face, according to police.

The woman was taken to Bellevue for her injuries, cops said.

Chappell was busted a short time later on West 34th Street near Sixth Avenue, and charged with assault. He was handed a desk appearance ticket, cops said.

Most of his prior arrests, dating back to 1986, were for marijuana possession, reckless endangerment, assault, petit larceny and turnstile jumping, police sources said.

British Jews more than two times as likely to die of the coronavirus as British non-Jews.

A total of 616 British Jews have died during the coronavirus pandemic, according to data released by the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

Seventeen more coronavirus-related fatalities were reported in the Jewish community last week, pushing the total over 600, the Board of Deputies said.

The deaths counted by the Board of Deputies include all deaths in which the funerals were conducted by Jewish burial organizations, and coronavirus was listed as at least one of the causes of death.

Based on the figures provided by the Board of Deputies, British Jews appear to be disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus, making up nearly 1% of coronavirus fatalities, despite making up about 0.39% of the population of Britain. Jews are thus 2.3 times more likely to die of the coronavirus than the rest of the population.

This despite the fact that the criteria used in the Board of Deputies pandemic death toll count are stricter than those used by the British government, which counts any death as being coronavirus-related if the deceased tested positive for the coronavirus within 28 days.

Contagious British strain of Covid is in Israel

The Health Ministry announced Wednesday that four cases of an especially contagious mutation of the coronavirus which was first discovered in Britain have been found in Israel.

3 of the diagnoses are from people who had returned from Britain and are quarantined at a Corona hotel.

Another case from Israel is being verified.

The ministry said it was "monitoring every case and will update accordingly."

According to government decision, starting at 10 pm tonight, anyone arriving in Israel from abroad will require quarantine at a Corona hotel irrespective of the country from which he arrived.

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein informed government ministers that the British coronavirus mutation had been found in Israel, saying "Unfortunately, alongside the good news there is less good news."

"In the last two days we have been making a concerted effort to ensure that the mutation from the UK has not infiltrated Israel."

"Until a few minutes ago we were optimistic, but now we're less optimistic. This is information from a few minutes ago," he said.

Trump"s Best Speech Yet

Even Pelosi re-tweeted the speech .... but the old rag lied and said that "we finally heard what the republicans want to give as stimulus checks"..

That's actually a lie since she knew what the republicans wanted all along but insisted on checks of $600.00 and reiterated that on an interview on CNN with Wolf Blitzer...she wanted to fund her special interest groups rather than feed Americans..

Bnei Brak Extremists Burn Down Corona Testing Station

A group of extremists in Bnei Brak who are anti-Corona testing on Monday night burned down a United Hatzalah corona testing station in the city. Thankfully, no one was injured during the act of violence and vandalism. The incident took place shortly after 10:30 PM on HaRav Shach Street.

Head of the Bnei Brak chapter of United Hatzalah Effi Feldman said: “It is no secret that there are a group of people in the city who are anti-corona testing. And while people may be entitled to their beliefs, burning down a corona testing station, or any other act of violence is unacceptable.”

“Aside from the destruction and vandalism, which came at no small cost to the organization which is 100 percent supported by donations, these extremists are preventing other people who wish to get tested from doing so, and that, too, is unacceptable,” Feldman added. “As soon as we are able, we will replace the equipment that was destroyed and resume testing to serve the people of the city who wish to get tested, and help stop the spread of this virus.”

President and Founder of United Hatzalah Eli Beer, who himself contracted the virus back in March and almost died, as a result, said:

“This virus is a killer and must be taken seriously. The fact that people don’t want to get tested is absurd. As someone who was very ill because of this virus, I cannot stress enough how important it is that we all do our part to combat it. So many good people have become ill or died as a result of the virus. And to have hoodlums burn down a testing facility, in a city that was hit very hard by the virus is difficult to understand. The people of Bnei Brak are good people who simply want to prevent the disease from spreading so that they don’t catch it and their families don’t catch it. I am deeply saddened that people would stoop to committing acts of violence and vandalism such as this especially regarding a public health issue.”

Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham try to stop Joe Biden re-entering Iran nuclear deal and Paris climate accord with last-minute move to get Senate to vote them down

Republicans Sens. Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham have outlined a way for President Donald Trump to trip up President-elect Joe Biden's plans to rejoin the Paris climate accord and the Iran nuclear deal.

Graham, in a series of tweets, and Cruz, in a letter addressed to Trump, aimed to get the two agreements treated as treaties, so they'd need a two-thirds Senate vote for passage, as outlined in the U.S. Constitution.

Cruz asked Trump to submit the two agreements to the Senate, while Graham tweeted that he was working to secure a vote.

With the Senate near a 50-50 Republican-Democrat split, there's almost no chance the two deals - which have become politically toxic for Republicans - would get two-thirds of the body's approval.

In his letter to Trump, Cruz applauded Trump for pulling the U.S. out of both international agreements. Trump took the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement in June 2017. In May 2018 he abandoned the Iranian nuclear deal.

Cruz then laid out a plan.

'I urge you now also to remedy the harm done to the balance of powers by submitting the Iran Deal and the Paris Agreement to the to the Senate as treaties,' Cruz recommended. 'Only by so doing will the Senate be able to satisfy its constitutional role to provide advice and consent in the event any future administration attempts to revive these dangerous deals.'

Cruz said that the Obama Administration unilaterally signed on to them because they knew they wouldn't get Senate approval.

'The only reason the Obama Administration refused to submit these agreements to the Senate as treaties was that it knew the agreements were deeply unpopular and doomed for defeat,' he wrote.

Biden campaigned on an ambitious agenda to combat climate change, including plans to rejoin the Paris accord.

He also promised supporters he would abandon Trump's 'America First' policies and rejoin and strengthen multi-lateral compacts, like the Iran nuclear deal.

If Trump takes Cruz and Graham's advice, it will make it more difficult for Biden to unilaterally act and sign up the U.S. for these deals.

In remarks Tuesday, Biden continued to say that he was open to working across the aisle with Republicans to get the bidding of the American people done.

Most Republicans have been slow to come around to the idea that Biden won the November 3 election over Trump, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell referring to Biden as the president-elect just one week ago.

The White House wouldn't say if Trump had signed on to the plan.

Exodus from Democrat states like NY and California to Republican states such as Texas and Florida is set to alter the number of seats in House of Representatives next year

Shifting populations in the U.S. could mean Democrat strongholds like New York and California lose congressional seats to Republican states like Texas and Florida when boundaries are redrawn next year, according to new analysis.

The U.S. Census Bureau released figures Tuesday showing how populations have changed in the last year.

New York has seen more residents leave in the past year than any other state, with 126,355 people fleeing the Empire State between July 2019 and July 2020, the Bureau revealed.

And analysis of the statistics by The Brookings Institution suggests the state could lose a congressional seat when the official 2020 Census results are released next year, along with a new legislative map.

William Frey, chief demographer for the Brookings Institution, used the census population estimates, and combined them with similar estimates over the last decade.

He then applied an algorithm designed to calculate reapportionment, which was created by experts at the University of Michigan.

The annual population change statistics released on Tuesday may include some people who have fled populated states due to the COVID pandemic, as the numbers extend into July.

But next year's official congressional redistricting will be based on the 2020 Census, which was carried out on April 1, before the worst effects of the pandemic caused tens of thousands to move out of states like New York.

When boundary lines are redrawn, Frey predicts that New York will lose one congressional seat, taking the state to 26.

California would lose one of its seats in the House for the first time, bringing it to 52.

Florida meanwhile would overtake New York for the first time in history, gaining two seats for a total of 29.

Alabama, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island would also all lose a seat.

New Photo of the Chafetz Chayim Revealed for the Very First Time

Rabbi Dan Schlesinger of Sinai Publishing house discovered a never seen booklet that deals with the life of the Chafetz Chayim specifically with his planned immigration to Eretrz Yisrael which the CC subsequently cancelled.

In the booklet there is a never before seen photo of the Chafetz Chayim sitting with two other unidentified Jews and the table is set with bottles of wine.

The booklet contains documents and the banknote of 100 pounds that Rabbi Yosef Levy Hagiz a Jew living in Israel at that time, sent to the CC in Radin to help in financing his trip and immigration to Eretz Yisrael, a matter that never materialized and the CC subsequently returned the money.

Stimulus Bill Funds Hundreds Of Millions In Aid To Palestinians .. This provision Was Pushed by the Jew Nita Lowey

The coronavirus relief bill released Monday includes $250 million in investment aid for the Palestinians and for encouraging Israeli-Palestinian dialogue in a provision titled the “Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act of 2020.”

The provision, named for retiring Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY), is buried deep within the nearly 6,000-page legislative text.

Citing economic stagnation in the Palestinian Territories, and the potential for economic development to encourage peace, the Lowey Act would spend $50 million per year for the next five years. A version of the act passed the House in July.

The act would create the “People-to-People Partnership for Peace Fund,” run by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to “provide funding for projects to help build the foundation for peaceful co-existence between Israelis and Palestinians and for a sustainable two-state solution.”

The provision was initiated by Congresswoman Nita Lowey of New York
