Kim Jong Un reportedly in a coma as his sister Kim Yo Jong takes control

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has fallen into a coma, a former South Korean official is claiming on the heels of reports that the northern leader has ceded over some of his power to his younger sister.
Chang Song-min, a former aide to late-South Korean president Kim Dae-jung, has alleged that the Hermit Kindom’s honcho has become seriously ill amid speculation about his limited public appearances this year, the Mirror reported.
“I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended,” he told South Korean media.
The former aide added that the leader’s younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, was poised to help lead the country.
“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo-jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period,” he said.
His claims come after South Korean spies revealed that the 33-year-old sibling now serves as his “de facto second-in-command,” though she has not been designated his successor.
In a closed-door meeting with lawmakers, the National Intelligence Service said the power shift partly seeks to “relieve (Kim’s) stress from his reign and avert culpability in the event of policy failure,” the Yonhap News Agency reported.
“Kim Yo Jong, the first vice department director of the Workers’ Party Central Committee, is steering overall state affairs based on the delegation,” the agency reportedly said.
Kim has only been seen in public a handful of times this year after rumors swirled that he was clinging to life in April due to a botched heart operation.

Outrageous .....Crazy Biden Says He’d Shut Down Economy If Scientists Recommended

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said he would follow public health advisers’ advice if they called for a national shutdown should he take office and the coronavirus had not abated.

“I would be prepared to do whatever it takes to save lives. We cannot get the country moving until we control the virus,” Biden said in an interview broadcast Sunday night on ABC News.
Asked specifically whether he’d push a national shutdown if scientists said it was necessary, Biden replied: “I would shut it down.”
The former vice president has previously called for the nation’s governors to impose mask mandates in their states, effectively a national mask mandate. But when he made that call, Biden avoided saying he’d attempt to use a nationally applicable executive order himself.
Biden’s remarks came as part of his first joint interview with vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris. The pair accepted their party’s nominations during a virtual convention last week. On Monday, Republicans begin their convention to nominate Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for a second term.

Kellyanne Conway To Leave White House

Kellyanne Conway, one of President Donald Trump’s most influential and longest serving advisers, announced Sunday that she would be leaving the White House at the end of the month.
Conway, Trump’s campaign manager during the stretch run of the 2016 race, was the first woman to successfully steer a White House bid, then became a senior counselor to the president. She informed Trump of her decision in the Oval Office.
Conway cited a need to spend time with her four children in a resignation letter she posted Sunday night. Her husband, George, had become an outspoken Trump critic and her family a subject of Washington’s rumor mill.He has also resigned from the Lincoln Project. to be with the family.
“We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids,” she wrote. “For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama.”
She is still slated to speak at the Republican National Convention this week. Her husband, an attorney who renounced Trump after the 2016 campaign, had become a member of the Lincoln Project, an outside group of Republicans devoted to defeating Trump.
The politically adversarial marriage generated much speculation in the Beltway and online. George Conway also announced Sunday that he was taking a leave of absence from both Twitter and the Lincoln Project.
Kellyanne Conway worked for years as a Republican pollster and operative and originally supported Sen. Ted Cruz in the 2016 Republican primary. She moved over to the Trump campaign and that August became campaign manager as Stephen Bannon became campaign chairman; Bannon was indicted two days ago for fraud.
Conway cited a need to help her children″s remote learning during the coronavirus pandemic as a need to step away from her position. She had remained a trusted voice within the West Wing and spearheaded several initiatives, including on combating opioid abuse.
She was also known for her robust defense of the president in media appearances, at times delivering dizzying rebuttals while once extolling the virtues of “alternative facts” to support her case. Conway was also an informal adviser to the president’s reelection effort but resisted moving over to the campaign.
Her departure comes at an inopportune time for Trump, who faces a deficit in the polls as the Republican National Convention begins on Monday. Her exit was first reported by The Washington Post.

Mrs Ami says that There Is no Covid19 in Boro Park and Lakewood....

Mrs Ami aka Rechy Frankfurter is the senior editor of Ami Magazine, which is a very "responsible" position, since most of her readers don't get any news from the secular media  but from frum publications.

Every week in the "Living" section she writes a column titled "Dear Readers" where she summarizes the articles featured in that particular issue.

This week she didn't summarize anything but for some reason wrote about visiting her father that lives a mile away from her home.

She wrote about her walk thru Boro Park to reach her father's home:

"as I was walking - especially on 13th Avenue - I couldn't help marveling at how life seems to have reverted to pre-coronavirus days. Other than the occasional mask, the Brooklyn streets are bustling with people, the stores are full, and life appears to have gone back to normal. The same can be said for Lakewood, which  I recently visited."
(underlining is from Din)

I am all for opening up society ... I think that we shouldn't keep the economy shut ....

Having said that, I am shocked that she would actually publicize the fact that the frum communities could care less about Health regulations that require masks...and have a mindset that the virus is all but over ....

and she continued to flout this, writing that it looks as if the virus "never happened."

"it occured to me that although it had seemed as if the coronavirus had never happened ....."

What?  ...... Helloooow.....just in the last two weeks of July, over 97,000 children tested positive for Covid-19, according to the  American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association. this marks a 40% increase in pediatric cases.

Believe me I am the first one who wants this to end...

Rechy like her husband apparently doesn't do any serious thinking before writing  ...
writing as if she was texting her next door neighbor...

What's with these frum "writers?"

Avi Shafrin's Fetish With Biden/Harris Continues in Ami Magazine

In this week's edition of Ami Magazine, Avi Shafrin under the headline:"This Column Is Not About Your Vote," slobbers over Kamala Harris.
"The indictments of Harris are hogwash," he smugly writes.

So what are the "indictments of Harris" that he is writing about?
1. Harris "does not stand with Israel and the Jewish community" and that
2. "she voted against an anti-BDS bill"
3. Harris " refused to answer the pleas" of some Jewish organizations "to act against anti-Semetic activities on campuses, and that she wants
4.  "to put the US back into the disastrous Obama-Biden nuclear deal with Iran."

Before we go any further, know that the DNC Delegates voted to remove "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance and that though Biden condemned Linda Sourser, they allowed her to address the DNC Convention and gave her a platform....
and while Harris has been depicted by Shafrin, the useful idiot, as a moderate, her chief of staff, Karine Jean-Pierre was the national spokeswoman and senior advisor for MoveOn; the radical group has a long history of trafficking in anti-Semitism and attacking the State of Israel.

We must never forget that when Ilhan Omar executed her first round of anti-Semitic remarks, Kamala Harris defended the racist politician against her Jewish critics by warning "that the spotlight being put on Congresswoman Omar may put her at risk."

In other words, what Harris is trying to tell us dumb Jews is that Omar's anti-Semitism wasn't threatening Jews, but Jewish protests were threatening the bigot.

Then Harris insisted that, "there is a difference between criticism of policy ... and anti-Semitism," but Harris never bothered to explain how Omar's anti-Semitic tropes were mere "policy."
and while the Palestinian witch, Rashida Tlaib wouldn't endorse Biden she hailed Kamala Harris as Vice President, which tells us that Tlaib know a lot more about Harris than Shafrin does.

Going back to Shafrin's nauseating "hidden" continual push to have naive Jews vote for Democrats, he chastises Harris's critics who claim that Harris "does not stand with Israel and that she voted against an anti-BDS bill."
The Liar Shafrin  calls this critique "hogwash," ignoring the facts staring him in his face....
The facts are that  Kamala Harris did vote against S.1 an "anti-BDS resolution," stating that this bill could "limit Americans First Amendment rights;" she was joined by Bernie Sanders and "Pocahontas" Warren.

Liar Shafrin writes  "hogwash" that Harris "does not stand with Israel and the Jewish Community...

Well let's look at what Harris actually believes:
She believes in a two-state solution, meaning she wants Israel cut up into small tiny pieces with enemies that want to destroy her living side by side.... (see what happened when we left Gaza)..and she was against the US recognition of the Golan Heights as Israel....which Israel needs for security...

Finally, the liar, Shafrin, says Harris's position to put the "US back into the disastrous Obama-Biden nuclear deal with Iran," is no different than Trumps....
in other words, after calling this "hogwash" he admits that this is Harris's position.... but that he thinks that Trump would "also go back to the deal."

You see, puny Shafrin, thinks frum Jews are ignorant fools .....
We all know that it was Trump that pulled out of this murderous deal and, no, he is never going back to the Iran deal the way it was written...
Trump did say that he is willing to talk to Iran and drop sanctions....
but that is only when these murderers stop threatening the USA and Israel...

ISRAEL COVID CZAR: “No Flights To Uman For Rosh Hashanah, Period”

Israel’s Health Ministry recorded 1,140 new coronavirus cases over Shabbos. There are currently 22,393 active cases, with 398 patients in serious condition, of whom 119 are ventilated. Ten more deaths were recorded, raising the death toll to 819.
Israel’s coronavirus czar, Prof. Ronni Gamzu spoke about the controversial issue of Israelis traveling to Uman for Rosh Hashanah during an interview on Channel 12 News on Motzei Shabbos.
“Uman is not one of the Tishrei Chagim and is not a devar kodesh,” Gamzu said. “It’s a hillulah or party and it’s not necessary to do it. It can bring us closer to a lockdown. The whole government needs to be firm in order to earn the public’s trust and say to the chassidim – don’t travel during this time to Uman, it will endanger lives in Israel. I’m announcing – there are no flights to Uman – period.”
According to a Ynet report, Gamzu also sent a letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urging him to ban gatherings at Rav Nachman’s kever on Rosh Hashanah.
“A gathering of this sort, at such a fraught time can lead to a mass infection of tourists and local Ukrainian residents, causing a heavy burden on local medical systems, while thousands more are expected to come back to Israel and further spread the virus,” Gamzu wrote.
“I urge you to enforce a ban on these celebrations this year, as part of the entire global community’s effort to stop this horrific pandemic.”
Meanwhile, a Ynet report on Thursday said that thousands of Israelis have already booked flights to Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah.
The report said that the Ukrainian government is planning on enforcing strict health regulations for anyone who does visit Uman for Rosh Hashana, such as wearing face masks and social distancing guidelines. Anyone who violates the regulations will be deported and banned from Ukraine for at least three years.
Gamzu also spoke in the interview about the possible lockdown before the Yamim Tovim. “It’s not definite that there will be a lockdown on the Chagim. I believe that it’s possible to decrease the infection rate – there are four weeks until then. I want to avoid a lockdown. It’s true that I presented a possibility of a lockdown but we all need to create the possibility together of preventing it.”

85th Yurzeit of Harav Avraham Yitzchok Kook z"l

Recently a good friend of mine suggested I read a book titled
"Our Man in Jerusalem" by R' Nachman Seltzer that relates great stories from Rabbi Yisrael Gellis who is a tenth-generation Yerushalmi.

Since I live in Bet Shemesh its not easy to get English Books, and so I decided to go into my local Sefarim store and ordered it ...I paid 122.00 shekels around $36.00....
well let me tell you it was worth every penny.

I found a fascinating story in that book on page 152 about Harav Eliyashiv z"l that speaks volumes about the greatness of Harav Kook z"l.

I will quote an excerpt verbatim...:

"During the final years of Rav Elyashiv's life, his sons and grandsons gathered in his succah on one of the nights of Chol Ha'Moed and discussed a specific halachic matter. One of those assembled quoted Rav Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook's ruling, and one of the grandsons responded to the quote by saying dismissively, "Hot ehr gezugt." (This would be translated roughly as "So what if Rav Kook said that...")

His grandfather responded to that line as if bitten by a snake.
"What did you say? he asked his grandson.
"Hot ehr gezugt.." the grandson repeated.
"Leave the succah." Rav Eliyashiv ordered his grandson. "I don't want you in my succah!"

It was the only time Rav Elyashiv had ever thrown someone out of his succah - and not just anyone, but a grandson.

The grandson had no choice but to obey. He left his Zeide's succah and sat down on the steps outside the apartment, where he cried bitter tears.

To show true remorse at his remark and to make up for the lack of kavod haTorah he had shown Rav Kook z"l , the grandson established a night kollel in Tiferes Bachrim where the members study the monumental Torah writings of the renowned Rav Kook - the tzaddik and talmid chacham who was so universally respected by the greatest leaders of the yishuv.
After that move, the grandson was forgiven by his illustrious zeide.."

Yehuda Mirsky, the author of Rav Kook, relates that in April 1921, the third Gerer Rebbe, R' Avraham Mordechai Alter, came from Poland to visit Eretz Yisrael and visited Rav Kook.
The two had a very respectful friendly conversation ... but when the extremists in Yerushlayim heard about the visit ..
they denounced the Gerer Rebbe in the "time-honored" Yerushalyim media .... with disgusting "paskevelim."
The Rebbe was so taken back by the personal attacks from the "Yerushalmi tzaddikim" that he refused to meet with R' Diskin and R' Zonnenfeld's representatives ... The Rebbe only relented after being placated appropriately.

During his return voyage to Europe, the rebbe wrote a letter to his chassidim, this letter became the "ultra-Orthodox pronouncement" on Rav Kook.
Contrary to how he has been depicted, the rebbe wrote,
"Rav Kook was a man of real nobility, learned in all aspects of the Torah, and his admirable loathing of money was unmistakable, his love for Zion is boundless.... "

Two of Larry King’s children have died in the past three weeks

Larry King has suffered a terrible tragedy, Page Six has learned.
We’re told that two of the legendary broadcaster’s children have died in the last three weeks.
Sources say that his son Andy passed suddenly a couple of weeks ago, and his daughter, Chaia, died Thursday after battling a chronic illness.
Chaia was 51 and Andy was 65.
Larry, 86, adopted Andy in 1962 after he married his mother, Alene Akins. Larry and Akins had Chaia in 1969.
“Larry and his three remaining children are distraught, and Larry’s still recovering from his own health issues from last year,” said an insider.
Added another, “He did two live shows [of Hulu’s “Politiking with Larry King”]. It’s his way of processing.”
The “Larry King Live” host is also the father to Larry Jr., from his second marriage, and college-age sons Chance and Cannon, from his most recent marriage to Shawn King.
Larry wrote a children’s book, “Daddy Day, Daughter Day” with Chaia in 1997, in which they both gave their perspectives on his divorce from Akins.
Larry remarried Akins in 1969.
Akins herself died in 2017, with Larry tweeting at the time, “ So very saddened over the passing of Alene Akins, who died peacefully with our children Chaia and Andy by her side. She was a grand lady.”
As Page Six first reported, eighty-six-year-old Larry nearly died last year after suffering a stroke.
He told us at the time that in spite of his illness, he was extremely happy to be spending time with his children.
