More People Shot in NYC In the Last 24 Hours than in 5 years in Israel

At Least 21 People Shot In 24-Hour Span In NYC

The NYPD is investigating a spree of shootings on the first official weekend of summer. They say 21 people have been shot in the past 24 hours.
The police department says it’s investigating 13 separate shootings that occurred in the 12 hours since midnight.
Since Monday, there have been 33 reported shootings across the city — more than double the number of shootings reported during this week in 2019, when only 12 shootings occurred.
As of June 14, the city was reeling from a 24% jump in shootings across the city, from 317 this time last year to 394, officials said. Murders were also up by 25% from 127 to 159.

Bobov 48 Doesn't Care About Covid-19

Mazal Tov.... Mazal Tov..... this was at the Tenoyim of the Bobover Rebbes Youngest son...

This "kishhing the hand business" of the rebbe, is a Hungarian "minhag shtus" and was never practised by the the "galiyetzaner" chassidim .... in fact when I was growing up, the galiyatzaner would mock the Hungarians because they kissed the hands of their rebbes...

The Bobover Rebbe 48 was one of the first to get the Covid-19 virus and it was only then that he issued a fatwa for chassidim to take precautions..

But now that his youngest son got engaged, "beshaa tova umitzlachas" he no longer practices "social distancing" and stuck his hand out so he could get kissed!. ....
Pity the guy that will kiss that hand next!

How Brad Lander a far-Left Progressive Got to Write An Opinion Piece in VIN

As my readers know,  I am not a fan of Eliot Engel, a Jewish US representative, that hates Trump and wants him overthrown.

Having said that, his opponent, Jamaal Bowman  is a black "educator" that is endorsed by AOC and Bernie Sanders, and has been quoted as saying that "American aid to Israel should be conditional on exploring Israel's human rights record......"
He also supports "The Jewish Vote," a far-left group that is the electoral arm of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ), which has a history of backing pro-BDS candidates and anti-Semitic individuals who make anti-Israel statements.

Last week, June 18, Brad Lander a NYC Council member, and founder of the Council's Progressive Caucus, wrote an opinion piece in VosIzNeis endorsing Jamaal Bowman.... and headlining his endorsement "Eliot Engel's Challenger Jamaal Bowman's Is the Best Candidate for The Jews"

Brad Lander's ideas are to the left of Fidel Castro...
on a vote in the City Council against BDS in which he thankfully sided with Israel, he couldn't contain his real feelings when he at the same time condemned "Israel's Occupation of the west Bank and Gaza," not mentioning that Israel withdrew from Gaza in September of 2005.

So how did Brad get to write this leftist propaganda in VIN, which basically asked Jews to vote for a Black anti-Semite over the Jewish Engel?

Answer:
Ezra Friedlander!
It has been told to me that Ezra's wife works for Brad Lander....
And it's no secret that Friedlander pushed the candidacy of Lander who is openly against "mezizeh be'peh" a policy that the frum community wants .... but Ezra doesn't care what his constituents want or need it's all about as Omar famously said " the Benjamins"
He got his "opinion" peace into VIN even if it meant stabbing his Jewish brothers and sisters in the back!

Yes .. You can grow a "Tchup" ... Chazon Ish!

So this should settle this once and for all.....I remember growing up when Chassidishe "Baldies" would alway yell ... "Tchup... Tchup....  (hair in the front...called "frezuhr") to the Litvishe boys ..
I especially remembers when the "oberlanders" with their Hitler moustaches ...  hated the "Tchups"..
They would constantly yell ... it's "blurious" which the gemarrah prohibits ... "blurious" is actually the haircut that Romans used to do which was shaving the sides of the head ......

The Genizim auction has the Chazon Ish's comments written in his own handwriting, permitting it ... he does however, not recommend it...
my doctor recommends I stay away from tomatoes, since it gives me heartburn..

Fascinating Comment from the Chazon Ish Detailing His Halachic Perspective on Growing a ‘Tchup’ (Forelock)

The Chazon Ish states that it is permitted to grow a "tshup" for beauty reasons
( although not recommended)

In the sefer Da Gezairos Oraisa, the author- Rabbi Yehoshua Alter Wildman rules that it is a de’oraisa prohibition to grow a forelock (tchup) due to the prohibition of imitating the gentiles.

In the present copy of this sefer there is a handwritten note by the Chazon Ish refuting the author’s opinion and arguing that the matter involved is not a de’oraisa transgression. He explains that unless one was specifically trying to imitate the gentiles, the matter did not constitute a transgression since it was being done for reasons of beauty and not as an imitation. However, the Chazon Ish adds that despite this, it is still “worthy of those who fear G-d to veer to a more modest path in clothing and other matters (of modesty).”

Rabbi Yehoshua Alter published his sefer following the immigration of the Slabodka Yeshiva to Eretz Yisrael. Students of the yeshiva were accustomed to growing a forelock, something that was frowned upon by Jerusalem’s Charedi community.

Handwritten Tshuva from R' Moshe Feinstein on Mechitzas and Response from Satmar Rebbe on Auction!

Famous Autograph Response from Rabbi Moshe Feinstein Regarding Transparent Synagogue Partitions (Mechitza)

Handwritten and signed halachic response from Rabbi Moshe Feinstein regarding synagogue partitions where the top third is made of glass and transparent.

In his response, Rabbi Moshe Feinstein writes that such partitions are halachically permitted, despite the fact that some of the women in attendance do not cover their hair as mandated by Halachah and may be visible through the glass.

He includes the Aruch HaShulchan's ruling that since the occurrence of women uncovering their hair had become common, it is permissible to pray in the presence of uncovered hair.

However, Rabbi Feinstein conditions that it is only permissible if the women are otherwise dressed modestly.

Rabbi Moshe concludes with a suggestion to use glass that has only one transparent side, so that the women can see through but cannot be seen.

The response is addressed to Rabbi Ephraim Asher HaLevi Rotenberg, rabbi of Ner Yisrael, Los Angeles, and son of the Admor Rabbi Moshe Shmuel HaLevi of Kosson.

Rabbi Moshe Feinstein (1895-1986) was a leading Halachic authority in the post-Holocaust era and a founder of the Torah world in the United States. All significant halachic quandaries were brought before him and he was respected throughout the Jewish world as a final Halachic authority.

Dated Brooklyn, 1956.

Polemics: Mechitzas in Shul
Famous Response from the Admor Rabbi Yoel of Satmar Railing Against Any Diversions to Traditional Synagogue Partitions (Mechitza)
Long handwritten response from Rabbi Yoel of Satmar strongly prohibiting the institution of changes in mechitzas for the women's gallery in a synagogue.
Background: In light of the spiritual decline of American Jewry, many congregations were becoming lax in their manner of erecting partitions for the women’s gallery. In response to this, Rabbi Moshe Feinstein publicized a long response on the matter, permitting setting the women’s gallery in a balcony, despite the fact that the women could be seen from below. Similarly, he ruled that partitions reaching shoulder-height are halachically sufficient, even though the women could be seen above it.

Rabbi Yoel of Satmar sharply opposed Rabbi Feinstein’s ruling, and wrote this present lengthy kuntress in response.

In this long and detailed response, the Admor asserts that erecting a partition where the women can still be seen is completely forbidden and that there is no heter (leniency) allowing it. He strongly concludes that it is even forbidden to enter a shul where such a partition was erected.

This response was sent to Rabbi Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Deutsch, ab”d of Helmez, author of Taharas Yom Tov.

The entire kuntress is completely handwritten by Rabbi Yoel of Satmar, including his corrections, erasures and additions.

Among his words, Rabbi Yoel of Satmar clearly stipulates his views regarding American minhagim (customs): "It is certain to me that there is no minhag in America, because only something that was established in a place of Torah leaders can be [considered] a minhag… As is known, there was no original settlement of Torah leaders in America, and at first it was all minhagim of the ignorant… For whatever reasons, a few G-d fearing Jews and Torah scholars came to America. It is clear that they are obligated to the customs of their land of origin, and Heaven forbid that they should change…"

21 sides (18 with the response + 3)

Schumer Crawles Out Of His "Covid Cave" To Stab Israel

This "crying fool" is another one of those, that "askanim" and "rabbanim" pushed us to vote for ....
I am not going into the politics of "annexation" now... but for a Jewish guy that represents Jewish constituents to get involved in chastising the Jewish State is chutzpah ....
Go crawl back under your rock ...
Three of Israel’s most stalwart boosters among Democrats in Congress are warning the country against annexing parts of the West Bank.
Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, the minority leader, and Sens. Ben Cardin of Maryland and Robert Menendez of New Jersey released a statement Friday saying they were “compelled to express opposition to the proposed unilateral annexation of territory in the West Bank.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to launch the process to annex parts of the West Bank on July 1.

Civil War Now In Monroe ..... Satmar Rebbe of Monroe Calls Police to Close Satmar Rebbeitzen's Shul With Force

R Yochanan in Sanhedrin (110 a), in reference to how Korach died, states:
"קרח לא מן הבלועים ולא מן השרופין"
Korach was not swallowed up in the earth, nor did he die by getting burned .... Rashi says that according to R' Yochanan, Korach died in a plague...

It seems that both R' Yochanan and Rashi never visited Kiryas Yoel in Monroe ... because if they did they would have found out that Korach is alive and well.....

When the late Satmar Rebbe, R' Yoel Teitelbaum left this earth he left it without writing a will, but of course his nephew R' Moshe Teitelbaum, the then Sigheter Rebbe, was in line to take over as Satmar Rebbe since R' Yoel left no children..... but Rebbitzen, Feiga, was not keen(and that's putting it very mildly) on having R' Moshe become what was rightfully his, the Rebbi of Satmar...

So she started her own movement and had a minyan in her home....she would take kvittlach and was in essence, in her mind, the Satmar Rebbe .... when she died the minyan continued and  was sore point in the eyes of the then  Satmar Rebbe and continued to be a sore in the eyes of R' Moshe's successor ... the present Satmar Rebbe .. R' Aron Teitelbaum....

He waited and waited to pounce like a cat on its unsuspecting prey.....
and now with covid he had finally an opening and went to  the goyishe courts and "massered" on the shul.... to settle the old cheshbin once and for all ..and I'm not even sure what the offense was... (maybe some reader can clue us in)  and had the police shut the shul down with force... And following minhag  Satmar, all hell broke loose .....
One thing is certain that there won't be any talking in shul, since there won't be any mispallalim there.

Chaos & Mayham ....... My terrifying five-day stay inside Seattle’s cop-free CHAZ

On June 8, Seattle police frantically loaded what they could from the east precinct onto trucks and cars. Within hours, they boarded up and abandoned the station. That night, left-wing protesters from Black Lives Matter and Antifa declared ownership of the six-block neighborhood in the middle of the Pacific Northwest’s largest city. They named their new territory the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,” or CHAZ. No laws or rules applied here except for one: “No cops allowed.”
Journalist Andy Ngo
During five undercover days and nights in the zone, I witnessed a continuing experiment in anarchy, chaos and brute-force criminality. In order to avoid being exposed as a journalist — several reporters have been barred or expelled — I slept and showered outside the zone. (Those inside have no showers but they do have portable bathrooms.) I took meals, and most of my water breaks, elsewhere because I was reluctant to remove my mask and risk being recognized. Every day I entered the zone twice through its semi-porous borders — once in the early afternoon, and again after sundown, staying until the wee hours.
Crime has surged inside and outside the zone.
