IDF tanks, equipment spotted moving towards Gaza

Residents of southern Israel have posted photos of tanks and military equipment moving towards Gaza.

The political-security cabinet decided during last night's meeting to adopt the line led by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and to support a military response only on the basis of developments on the ground and not on a proactive basis.

During the meeting, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman presented a plan to initiate a harsh response against Hamas. At the same time, the IDF, with the encouragement of Netanyahu, presented another plan whereby response would be according to what was happening on the ground and only if the terrorist organizations tried to attack Israel.

The cabinet ministers were instructed not to be interviewed by the media about the discussion in question, which also dealt with the indirect talks sponsored by the United Nations and Egypt vis-a-vis Hamas in Gaza to restore relative calm to the area, as was seen until March 29 this year.

"Oil with the Korban Mincha"

The Talmud talks about the Mincha sacrifice that was brought to the Temple by someone who sinned or violated a Biblical ordinance by mistake.
*Note:  Sacrifices were brought only by those who mistakingly sinned ... there are no sacrifices for those who sinned or violated a Biblical ordinance on purpose.

The Talmud explains that there cannot be any oil accompanying  a Mincha, that someone brought because he sinned. It therefore follows, that the Kohein cannot add oil to the Mincha , even if he wishes to do so.
Why?
Because  Minchas in general, are supposed to be elegant and the Torah didn't want that the Mincha of a sinner (even if the sin was done inadvertently) to be elegant.

What would be the halacha if the Kohein poured a drop of oil on this particular Mincha sacrifice?
According what we learn on this daf, the entire Mincha sacrifice would be rendered invalid.
Therefore even one drop of oil would invalidate the entire Mincha, because the Torah stated emphatically on a sinner's Mincha ...... ''לא ישים עליה שמן'' .... "Do not place [on the mincha] oil"

But there can be a situation where oil placed on a sinner's mincha would still be valid ....
and that is, if the oil was placed on a piece of the Mincha that didn't have the required size ... the required size for the Mincha to still be valid  would be the size of an olive.

Is Mama Ruchel Really Buried In Kever Rachel and When Is her real Yurzeit?

According to the פסיקתא רבתי Rochel Imeinu died between Pesach and Shavuois when the ground was dry (see Rashi Bereishis 48:7 who seems to agree)
The ילקוט שמעוני writes that she died on the 11th of Cheshvan.

In one of the "Dead Sea Scrolls," it is written that she died on the 10th of Teves.

So where is she really buried??
We all know that Kever Rochel is in Bais Lechem, 10 kilometers south of Yerushalyim.

According to some Rishonim
רלב''ג, חזקוני, רמבן פרשת ויחי
Kever Rochel is not in the Bais Lechem we know, but in רמה north of Yerushalyim!

(1) In Shmuel Alef י'  ב' it is written that
קברת רחל בגבול בנימין
Bais Lechem is in Yehuda .... not Binyamin.

(2) Rashi in פרשת ויחי quotes the פסיקתא רבתי
"Yaakov told Yosef that he buried Rochel on the road ע''פ הדיבור" so that in the future she would daven for her children when Nevuzraden would forcibly take them from Bavel.
And as they pass her Kever .... Rochel will come out and cry
רחל מבכה על בניה

If Kever Rochel is in the Bais Lechem we know, why would they be passing her Kever on the way to Bavel which is north of Yerushalyim?

(3) See the ספרי  פרשת וזאת הברכה, פסקא שנ''ב
where it is written
ר' מאיר אומר בחלקו של בנה מתה
Rochel died in her son's chelik ...which is in the chelik of Binyamin and not in the chelik of Yehuda where our Bais Lechem is situated.

The חזקוני explains that it was an honor for Rochel to be buried in
her children's chelik .

Cry'in Schumer won’t admit that the Dems are abandoning Israel

Some Democrats are trying furiously to push back against a New York Times article reporting what’s been patently clear for years to any honest observer: The party is abandoning its support of Israel.
“Senate Democrats are very strongly pro-Israel and will remain that way,” declared Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Would that it were so. In fact, as the Times noted, several Democratic candidates, including some of the party’s rising stars, are running on blatantly anti-Israel platforms.
This reflects the rapid leftward hurtle of the ever-more-dominant Democratic base: A 2016 Pew poll found that liberal Democrats, who’d favored Israel by 48-to-10 percent as recently as 2001, had turned to the Palestinians by 40-to-33 percent.
The same poll found only 48 percent of moderate Democrats, a rapidly vanishing breed, favoring Israel. On the GOP side, 77 percent of conservatives and 64 percent of moderates were pro-Israel.
Which explains why so many of the same Senate Democrats whom Schumer touts have grown increasingly soft on Israel.
His New York colleague, Kirsten Gillibrand, came out against the same Israel Anti-Boycott Bill she’d once co-sponsored. Jersey’s Cory Booker voted against the Taylor Force Act that cut off funding for the Palestinians while they subsidize terrorists and their families. And Vermont’s Bernie Sanders tried to place three anti-Israel activists on the 2016 Democratic platform committee.
All three senators are eyeing a run for president; clearly, they know where primary voters stand. Then again, who can forget how delegates at the 2012 convention raucously shouted down language declaring Jerusalem as Israel’s capital?
Speaking of which, numerous Democrats who’d voted to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem publicly condemned President Trump for doing just that.
As for Schumer, recall that he gently announced his opposition to the Obama nuke deal with Iran — and then went mute, refusing to lobby fellow Democrats.

Even still-pro-Israel elected Democrats can sniff their party’s political winds — so don’t expect them to stay pro-Israel much longer.

Frum Judge Rachel Freier orders Muslim suspect released on bail after brutal assault on 62 year-old Jew earlier this week.

I think her shaitel is on too tight!
I believe she is in collusion with the DA Gonzales

who is terrified of the Arabs that surround Brooklyn!

And now we have another Liberal Judge ...one of our very own...

Jews just never learn!

They will vote for the vicious anti-Semite Kirsten Gillibrand for Senator in New York again. They voted for fat Nadler and Cry'in Schumer!
The only thing that Heimishe Yiddin  want is more fed aid and if a Nazi promises that, then damn everything as long as our "Moised" can get Title 2!
Uch..... I'm running to throw up!

Court Docket indicating Mrs "Shaitel" Freier and the Bail amount

Afzal reportedly attacked the victim, identified as Rabbi Lipa Schwartz, 62, because he thought he was an Orthodox Jewish man who had stepped in front of his car earlier in the day. Video footage shows Afzal pulling Schwartz into the street and savagely beating him.

Afzal was arrested soon after the assault. After his identity was published, he was fired from his job at Church Avenue Car Service.

During the assault, Afzal reportedly yelled "Allah, Allah" while he dragged Schwartz.

“He came out from the car. I couldn’t explain to you how angry he was. He was screaming the whole time,” Schwartz recounted to CBS2.

“All of a sudden… boof, boof, boof, boof!”, Schwartz continued. "So I start to fight back because it’s either death or life.”

Following the attack, Schwartz was evacuated to Maimonides Medical Center and was treated for minor injuries.
Yiddish-speaking Freier is the first female hasidic judge in the US and was first appointed to the bench in 2016 . She began studying law at age 30 after realizing she was working for lawyers younger than herself.

MEASLES OUTBREAK: At Least 7 Cases in Monsey, 6 in Williamsburg WERE NOT VACCINATED!

The NYC Health Department today is reporting six individuals with confirmed measles this month in the Orthodox Jewish community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The initial case of measles was acquired by a child on a visit to Israel, where a large outbreak of the disease is occurring. The individuals with measles ranged in age from 11 months to 4 years. Five of these children were unvaccinated prior to exposure, including four because vaccination was delayed and one who was too young to have received the vaccine. The sixth child had received one dose of the vaccine prior to exposure but was not yet immune. Complications include one child who was hospitalized with pneumonia and another child with an ear infection.
Meanwhile, Health officials in Rockland County on Wednesday said there were seven confirmed cases, and an additional eight suspected cases being investigated involving a mix of adults and children.

EZRA FRIEDLANDER HIRED BY EXTREMIST MUSLIM QATAR .... A NATION CLOSE TO THE MURDEROUS IRAN REGIME

Add caption

Ezra "The Kapo" Friedlander, the back stabbing Jew that encouraged Holocaust Survivors to vote for Fat Nadler who voted to hand nuclear weapons to Iran, is back!
This time to encourage our President to renew ties with the terrorist supporting nation of Qatar.
Qatar has very close ties with Iran a nation that has vowed to "wipe Israel off the map."
What this depraved animal Ezra would do for money is unbelievable!
Qatar is a funder of Hamas, Ezra "The Kapo" Friedlander is now lobbying for HAMAS!!!

The following is via Al-Arabiya:
The Qatari government urgently dispatched several individuals to the United States two weeks ago.
Among them was Hassan Ali bin Ali, an important Qatari regime insider and businessman.
Bin Ali is believed to have met with several American and non-American media personalities.
This information, corroborated by an insider source speaking to Al Arabiya English on condition of anonymity, revealed that these media meetings were so important to Bin Ali, that he “hastily canceled pre-scheduled meetings with the staff of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee.”
A congressional source told Al Arabiya English, on condition of anonymity, that Bin Ali had hired the New York City lobbying firm Friedlander Group, founded by Ezra Friedlander, to mend the bilateral relations between Qatar and the United States.
A Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) application submitted by Ezra Friedlander had listed Bin Ali as a foreign principal hiring the Friedlander Group for $50,000 per quarter, according to US government records.
The duties of the Friedlander group are to arrange meetings with Congressional members to discuss bi-lateral relations between the United States and countries across the Middle East and ways to achieve peace and regional stability. (Laughable if it wasn't so tragic.)
A luncheon or reception would be hosted every six months in Congress; once in the Senate and the another in the House to allow members of both chambers to meet Bin Ali in a social setting.
Congressional staff, Jewish leaders, and diplomats would be encouraged to participate to discuss relevant legislative issues that Congress is working on.
Hassan Ali bin Ali is well known by his ties with Tehran. He enjoys close business and personal relations with Iranian parties.
An outside source who works closely with members of the House Foreign Relations Committee told Al Arabiya English that Bin Ali had, in fact, been a front for the Qataris for a number of years.
“He’s the one who whitewashes the whitewashers of the Qatari regime. Not only in the United States but all over the whole world,” he said.

HOW SATMAR BRAINWASHES THEIR STUDENTS ...... VIDEO

NEW FEATURE ON DIN .... DAF YOIME SNIPPETS >>> SO THAT DIN READERS COULD SOUND LIKE TALMIDEI CHACHUMIM

I know that DIN followers are smart and I decided to make you smarter...
Even the women are encouraged to learn these little snippets ... so that they can question their husbands who say they are off to learn the daf .... and who knows where they really are!

Father's can quote from  these "snippets" to their children at the Shabbos table, and the children can then ask questions and share in  their parent's learning..

The Talmud is called the "Yam Ha'Talmud" "The Talmud Ocean" because the Talmud is basically an ocean of ideas, halachic analysis, biblical law, oral law, rabbinical decrees, historic info, stories, and parables.
There is no shallow waters .... you must dive right into the depth of the ocean ....

I will try to make it very brief and interesting ..... so that when the bigshot in shul talks about the Daf .... you won't feel like a blithering idiot, and will be able to go head to head with this arrogant "daf learner."

But to follow my understanding of the daf, you must have at least an elementary understanding of the Chumasah and Mishnah ....
But if you don't ... you still may find it interesting.
For others, you may be inspired and encouraged to one day open a page of the Talmud and even better, to join a daf group!

For those actually learning the daf, you may actually learn something you didn't know or it may act as review of parts of the daf I  highlight that you already learned...

I will use translations and commentaries found in the Hebrew "Mesivtah Edition" the Hebrew Artscroll Editions and the English Artscroll Editions!

This will appear weekly .... hopefully ...

We are presently learning Tractate Menachois .... the Talmud is discussing sacrifices that were performed in the Temple.

I will dive right into Daf 58 ... (page 58)

"The Doves that were placed upon the baskets of Bikkurim"
The word bikkurim comes from the word bechor ... firstborn ...
so bikkurim are the first fruits that appear ...
A farmer goes out to his orchard and notices that some of the fruits of the tree have begun to sprout, he proceeds to take a ribbon and ties those fruits that have begun to sprout and pronounces "these will be bikkurim."
When these "tied" fruits have ripened and ready to eat, he cuts them off and puts them into a basket and brings them to Jerusalem to give to the Kohanim
The Talmud mentions that those farmers that brought these first fruits would place doves on top of the basket that contained those fruits ..... to make those fruits look pretty and beautiful and to show appreciation to Hashem for the good bounty.
The Talmud says that these doves were than sacrificed as an Olah!

The Talmud adds that these farmers brought additional doves that weren't in the basket, and these doves were given to the Kohanim as a gift !
* it should be noted that there was no obligation for the farmers to bring the doves to begin with .... but once there were brought then the above mentioned procedure had to take place ...

Rashi cites a Mishna in Bikkurim (2:4) that does require the bringing of an accompanying offering with the bikkurim but not necessarily doves!

Just SEVEN calories too many a day 'is all it takes to get fat' - the equivalent of one sachet of ketchup

Think twice before you squeeze that sachet of tomato ketchup on to your chips – the little indulgence may be enough to make you fat.
A leading doctor warns that consuming a few as seven extra calories – which he says amounts to a small serving of ketchup – each day will slowly build up and eventually put inches on your waistline.
