Police called as Ponovitz "Torah Learners" Knock the Crap Out of Each Other!

A long-standing quarrel in Bnei Brak's flagship Lithuanian-haredi Ponevezh Yeshiva exploded Saturday night, as a mass brawl erupted between rival factions in the yeshiva dormitory.

Students threw chairs at each other and dumped heavy objects down flights of stairs, causing thousands of shekels worth of damage.

The fracas is part of a long-running conflict among students of the yeshiva, pitting the supporters of Rabbi Shmuel Markovitz, nicknamed the "haters," against a faction led by Rabbi Eliezer Kahaneman, called the "terrorists".

Two questions, DIN: #1; Why do you use such bad language? #2, Why do need to publicize this story?

We seem to have much strife in our religion. The two Satmar factions hate each other. Both despise the Lubavitchers. The two Ponovitz sects, the “haters” and the “terrorists” despise each other also, leading to physical attacks on each other. All Chareidi sects detest Conservative and Reform Jews. We’ve also seen physical attacks on Chareidi soldiers and supposedly immodest women .
We’ve seen this before. Catholics vs. Protestants. Sunni vs. Shiite. It’s just a matter of time before the Chareidim begin killing each other and others that they disagree with.

Abe---We all know that the many hassidishe sects feed on hate that is their food the more the better it takes of the limelight from thier other foibles, the rabbis sit back and enjoy the fight just like the goyishe wrestling on tv :)

@Abe, (Although your comment was not entirely true), why are we in this Galus in the first place?

Perhaps we can't always fix others' problems, but we can fix ourselves and make sure that we always facilitate Achdus -- and I guess that will, B'Ezras Hashem, lead to others being more B'Achdus.

Haha, Jancsi, your comment was garbage. And what about u Aish? Gonna stop causing strife?

What value can there possibly be to the learning that occurs in this yeshiva if it entails fighting? NONE.

pathetic thugs pretending to be Orthodox Jews.
If these f*ckwits want to fight, then put them in uniform and give them a gun.

Shalom Aleichem everyone: Today I spoke to a big Posek about being on this blog, and he basically told me to stop coming here.

So I guess I'll real quickly wish everyone here fairwell, and please, please, be careful what you say and how you act. I must. We all must.

I probably will miss you guys a bit, and I would really love if you could keep in contact, either on my blog or via email at aishkodesh611@gmail.com.

Anyway, I wish you all and your families wonderful lives full of Avodas Hashem and Simcha, which go hand in hand, and a great Rosh Chodesh, Shabbos, Adar, Purim, etc.! Mi shenichnisu b'Adar marbin b'Simcha!

Kol Tuv, my dear friends!

AishKidesh 9:07 PM,

I will also miss your presence on this Blog, but not because of what you say, but because you’ve joined the race to the bottom of extremist Chareidi Judaism. Not that I’ve considered you an aspirant to that goal in your tenure here until now. Now you’re a real contender to win first prize. A big posek indeed! You don’t need a posek. You need a good shrink to help you understand why you’re unable expose yourself to hashkafic and secular ideas different from yours.
