Belzer Rebbi Orders Girls to defy Government and Go to School BUT Not to Put on Uniform

Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokeach, the Belzer Rebbe, ordered Belz kindergartens, cheders and schools to ignore the health ministry’s instructions and continue their operations as usual throughout the country, according to a report on Rotters.
The Rebbe instructed his followers not to listen to the news broadcasts, and asked that girls come to school without their official school uniforms, to avoid criticism.
Belz operates educational institutions in Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Ashdod, Har Yona, Kiryat Gat and Givat Ze’ev.
This past Shabbat, Belz shuls held public services, complete with a tish, which were attended by thousands of chassidim.
On Sunday morning, Jerusalem police shut down three Haredi schools (Talmud Torahs) after they ignored instructions by the Ministry of Health.
Rabbi Kanievsky and the Rosh Yeshiva of the Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, will meet to discuss whether or not to keep Haredi learning institutions open in the coming days.

The Arab Joint List Unanimously Recommend Gantz ..... May Form Government Tomorrow!

All 15 members of the Joint List at noon Sunday recommended Benny Gantz as their preferred candidate for forming the next government in their consultation with President Rivlin.

Chairman Ayman Odeh told the President
"We had a tough argument. Balad had a opposing position on the recommendation. At the same time, Balad made a courageous decision which was essentially the unity of the Joint List and the adoption of the decision of the majority. "

Following the recommendation of the Joint List, Gantz is expected to win 61 recommendations and will thus receive the mandate to form the government already tomorrow or the day after.

In such a situation, Gantz will be able to act swiftly to replace the Knesset Speaker, and Blue and White will receive chairmanship of the arrangements committee, enabling it to regulate Knesset activities.

Knesset control is expected to give Gantz a significant advantage in any future negotiations for the establishment of a unity government.

But that's if Lieberman joins ... which is up in the air ... as of this posting!

A word from the Derby
"Now it's announced that the Arab Joint List will support Ganz and form a leftist anti-Jewish State government.

The Arabs will get posts and positions even in the security and intelligence departments. The frum crowd shares blame in this fiasco. So many chilonim were turned off by the wild demonstrations on the streets, destruction of property, interrupting peoples' lives and livelihood because of a sham draft protest. Few rabbonim protested this outrage publicly. Who knows how many supported this chillul Hashem privately . Some tacitly supported this gangsterism ..
Are you listening, Lakewood & Chaim Berlin ???
The Israelis soured on the chareidim and voted Blue & White because of it. The chareidi parties offered nothing but negativity and stupidity in how to fight the battle of chillul Shabbat.. .
What a disaster this could be... Hashem Yeracheim.

Derby continues.......
I witnessed the following on Shabbat afternoon on Strauss St. Jerusalem a few summers ago: A group of chilonim with megaphones were gathered on a corner with posters demanding freedom from religious coercion. For the record, I'm strongly against this and stand in complete opposition.

HOWEVER:
Diagonally across the street on the other corner, were yeshiva boys with the big hats and flowing tzitzis screaming back " SHABBOS !! "and some other choice words.. Most other frum people, men and women, to their credit just observed the scene out of curiosity and said nothing.
I ask you : What on earth are Bnei Torah doing on a street corner shouting and screaming on a Shabbos afternoon and wasting time? Why weren't they in Beis Hamidrash learning or saying Perek on a summer Shabbos? Who allowed them to be mevazeh Shabbos in public? A well thought out response would have pushed for a weekday display. Figure it out, ye talmidei chachamim. So here I am , a frum ordinary zhlub, who's actually on their side but now totally turned off. What hangs in my mind is this one behatted and betzitzitted screamer with a flaming orange beard bellowing at the top of his lungs..... for the 20 minutes I was there… and possibly for hours. the Derby

Chassidim Don't Care About Coronavirus Make Wedding Defying Government Rules in Bet Shemesh Alef

Despite government regulations; not to have any gatherings of over 10 people and to keep 2 to 3 meters away from each other ....
these chassidim don't care if they contaminate the entire Israeli population ....
This took place in Ramat Bet Shemesh Alef ....where the majority is Anglo...
They wouldn't do it where they live ... they came to spread this deadly disease on Nachal Hamoer....

Chillul Hashem..

New York Doctor Questions Torah Umesorah’s Directive To Keep Schools Open

Following Torah Umesorah’s directive that Jewish schools should remain open in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Stuart H. Ditchek of New York shares his perspective.
A statement written by Dr. Ditchek reads as follows:
As most of you are aware I called for a community wide meeting and invited all of the major school representatives and leaders. The meeting which I moderated was well attended both in person as well as through a video conference. I specifically invited the Torah U’Mesorah leadership, who did not attend but listened in by phone. I felt that it was imperative to include that group as they have policy capability to a large number of orthodox yeshivas.

Rabbi Wein Goes to a cantorial concert

Several weeks ago, in spite of all of the dire warnings regarding the corona virus (but much before the new rules for containing its spread), I attended a concert of great cantors here in Jerusalem.

It was a beautiful concert and all the performers were in excellent voice. They were accompanied by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and by a choir of many dozens of fine tenor, baritone, and bass voices.

I don't often go to concerts - in fact, this is the first concert I've been to, I imagine, in four or five years - but I do enjoy hearing religious cantorial music, and when a friend of mine called me and said that he had an extra ticket, I agreed to go. I do not want this to imply that I only go to concerts when I don't have to pay for the ticket.

Volunteers with beards can't help coronavirus patients

Magen David Adom (MDA) Director-General Eli Bin on Saturday night told Channel 12 about the tension between his organization and the United Hatzalah first response organization as a result of the coronavirus crisis, and the possibility of integrating United Hatzalah volunteers in the coronavirus response.

"It's time to put things on the table," Bin said. "Anyone who wants to come and volunteer as part of and according to the procedures of Magen David Adom and according to the guidelines of Magen David Adom, is invited to do so. There are dozens of haredi first response organizations operating under MDA."

However, Bin clarified that, "We do not allow those with beards to aid any coronavirus patient, or anyone suspected of being a coronavirus patient, and that's the first thing. The protective equipment which our organization has, and which there is in the world at large, does not protect people who have beards."

"We called on our workers to remove their beards. We turned to the chief rabbis to tell those who serve in Magen David Adom to remove their beards, the Defense Ministry can force its soldiers to remove their beards, but MDA cannot."

Many religious Jews do not shave or cut their beards, due to religious beliefs.

Do you have coronavirus or a cold? CDC releases graphic to help people tell the difference

A fever, a cough and shortness of breath have been identified as crucial symptoms that suggest you may have contracted the coronavirus, according to a graphic released by the Center for Disease Control.
The coronavirus, which as of midnight had infected more than 2,200 people and caused 50 deaths in the United States, manifests itself with symptoms that are very similar to the common cold, the flu or allergies but a fever and shortness of breath in particular are believed to be tell-tale signs that you have COVID-19.
A flow chart created using information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute of Health breaks down the symptoms which are most common when suffering from the coronavirus, the flu, a cold or allergies to help identify which you may have.
By answering yes or no to whether or not you have a fever, you can rule out the coronavirus, which it list as one of its main symptoms.
If you do have a fever, the flow chart than asks if you have shortness of breath. If yes, you may have the coronavirus, if not, you may have the flu.
Other symptoms of the virus are listed as a cough, fatigue, weakness and exhaustion.
These are also the symptoms of the flu, leaving medical professionals urging those who fear they may have the coronavirus to seek an expert opinion.
Patients who contract the virus are said to experience mild to severe respiratory illness and symptoms can take anywhere between two and 14 days after exposure to appear.
Symptoms may also vary from person to person meaning that only a doctor can give you a correct diagnosis.
Those who believe they are showing these symptoms are recommended to seek medical advice.

Is God unhappy with Mankind?

(*This article written by a gentile....)

St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican City in Italy is deserted. The Pope, supreme Pontiff has cancelled all meetings and engagements in Vatican City. The world is cut off with Rome.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has temporarily banned Umrah pilgrims from all over the world. A day earlier, the Kingdom also restricted its citizens and residents from visiting Makkah. Although the Makkah entry restrictions announced are precautionary temporary steps, the Holy Kaaba is a deserted place.

Yes, for the first time in the history of mankind the circling of Kaaba has been stopped. The circling to Kaaba was an old practice even prior to the expansion of Islam. The Pagan Arabs used to circle it before entering their homes. Muslims make 7 anti-clock, circles to complete a Tawaf. A strange fact that makes few believe that anti-clock circling of Kaaba strengthens the magnetic grid of Planet earth. The fact that believers in One God are circling holy Kaaba 24 hours / 365 days, non-stop, makes it a unique place on earth where God is worshipped non-stop. There is no other similar place on earth where God is worshipped non-stop. And now there is not a single soul around it except cops on guard.
And Bethlehem has been locked down too. The Church of Nativity, built on the site that Christians believe was the birthplace of Jesus, was also closed on Thursday for worshippers.

In modern history, it is the first time that worshipers to God are not allowed where they should be.

Bennett to Arab MK: You're a liar, anti-Semitic and contemptible

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett on Friday blasted MK Aida Touma Sliman from the Joint List, after she blamed the IDF for allegedly spraying "unidentified material" on Palestinian Arabs at the Qalqilya checkpoint.

“You're a liar, anti-Semitic and contemptible. These are not IDF forces. It is the Palestinian Authority that decided to disinfect the checkpoint and is carrying it out.

It is unbelievable that Bogie [Yaalon], Evet [Liberman], [Benny] Gantz, Gabi [Ashkenazi] and [Yair] Lapid are ready to form a government with the help of your vote,” Bennett said.

Earlier, Touma Sliman posted a video to her Twitter account which she claims showed IDF soldiers spraying Palestinian Arabs at Qalqilya checkpoint in an attempt to eradicate the coronavirus.

"Another horror of the occupation under the cover of the coronavirus - the IDF sprays Palestinians at the Qalqilya checkpoint with unknown material. It is widely known that the method of spraying is ineffective in the fight against the virus. The horrors perpetrated under the cover of the crisis should not be ignored," she wrote.

After realizing her mistake,
 Touma Sliman wrote on Twitter,
"The video I uploaded a few minutes ago was from the Palestinian side of the Eyal Checkpoint. I was misled. All of this does not detract from the fact that it is not a proper sight, and that spraying is not helpful when it comes to the disease. But this time the responsibility is not on the occupation."

Touma Sliman, like some of the other Arab MKs, has made controversial statements.

Last summer, she sent official letters of solidarity to Democratic US Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib in the wake of President Donald Trump’s Twitter attacks on them.

Dead Sea Scrolls fragments at DC museum are fake

The 16 Dead Seas Scroll fragments housed at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., are forgeries, museum officials said Friday.

“We’re victims — we’re victims of misrepresentation, we’re victims of fraud,”
CEO Harry Hargrove said at an academic conference hosted by the museum, National Geographic reported.

A team of researchers led by an art fraud investigator issued a 200-page report saying that while the fragments may be made of ancient leather, the ink was from modern times and altered to look like the real Dead Sea Scrolls.

Most of the 100,000 real Dead Sea Scroll fragments lie in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the report does not question their authenticity.

Bedouins found clay jars in the West Bank’s Qumran caves in 1947 holding thousands of the parchment scrolls dating back more than 1,800 years, including some of the oldest surviving copies of the Hebrew Bible.

Jews Worldwide may Miss Last Chance to Return to Israel as Prophesied in Deuteronomy

Amidst news that, due to the coronavirus,  all passengers landing in Israel must enter a 14-day quarantine period, hundreds of flights to Israel have been canceled and El Al, Israel’s flag-carrying airline placed 80% of its workforce on unpaid leave, open access to Israel can no longer be taken for granted.
For tourists, especially those who had trips to Israel planned for the upcoming Passover and Easter seasons, these restrictions are an inconvenience, perhaps even a costly one. The ultimate economic impact on Israel’s tourism industry is just beginning to be felt.

Arguably, the group that stands to lose the most are Jews who do not yet live in Israel.
Breaking Israel News spoke to several well-known advocates of aliyah (immigration to Israel), each of whom spends countless hours encouraging Jews to return to their ancestral homeland.

Josh Wander, founder of the Bring Them Home project calls himself a Redemption Expediter. He Breaking Israel News, “Perhaps for the first time in recent history, we have a situation in which Jews that are here in Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) are not going to leave for Pesach (Passover) and the Jews that are in chutz l’aretz (outside the Land of Israel) are going to say L’shana Haba B’Yerushalyim (Next Year in Jerusalem! – a phrase recited at the end of every Passover seder) and actually mean it.

“Thousands of Jews that would have come to Israel during the Pesach holiday are being restricted from doing so.

“This could be a sign for those Jews for times to come that there will be a time when the doors will not be open to Israel and this is their chance to make aliyah while they can.

Trump Takes on Coronavirus With Bravery and Dignity

Big and bold, optimistic and compassionate. President Trump’s Oval Office address was exactly what America needed to hear
This is what it looks like when a president rises up to meet a crisis head-on.
With fear and panic spreading across the land and threatening to take down the economy, Trump is facing the greatest test of his presidency. Although battle-hardened by brutal fights with Democrats, the biased media and foreign adversaries, he is presented with problems of a different magnitude with the coronavirus.
It is a global menace that has declared war on America. Truth be told, sometimes in recent weeks, the president has appeared to be a reluctant commander in chief.
Thankfully, as of Wednesday night, that reluctance is history, replaced by a president who left no doubt that he is all in on the battle against this deadly scourge. Now effectively a wartime president, Trump’s repeated assurances of victory were music to the ears of a rattled nation.

Assemblyman Eichenstein: Eliminate Driver’s License Suspension Due To Unpaid Fines

Is your driver’s license valid? It may not be. In the last 28 months, New York issued nearly 1.7 million driver’s license suspensions for not paying traffic tickets. That is nearly two thirds of all license suspensions in New York.
New York State lawmakers are saying enough is enough. A new bill sponsored by Assemblywoman Pamela Hunter and co-sponsored by Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein seeks to amend the vehicle and traffic law so that drivers who owe unpaid fines will not face arbitrary license suspension.
“License suspension has significant adverse consequences,” said Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein. “Without a driver’s license a person cannot drive to work or to school or even to court to pay their fine. It’s an unfair and unjust practice that’s been going on for too long and I’m proud to be co-sponsoring Assemblywoman Hunter’s legislation.”
Currently, those who continue to drive with a suspended licenses, even unknowingly, risk criminal charges and more unaffordable fines and fees. Assemblyman Eichenstein pointed out that this is totally unnecessary and unproductive. Instead, this legislation would end traffic debt suspensions and make affordable payment plans available to help pay fees that are owed. That would considerably reduce prosecution and arrests, allowing law enforcement and the courts to focus on more serious crimes and on drivers who pose an actual danger on the roads.
This proposed legislation is gaining momentum in the State Assembly, as legislators are eager to see license suspensions curtailed.
“Let’s keep our safe and responsible drivers on the roads instead of being embroiled in needless and wasteful court appearances,” said Assemblyman Eichenstein. “This new legislation would represent a victory for all New York drivers.”
