Urgent Call on BBC: Investigate the antisemitism at the network

More than 200 people from Britain's TV and film industry have called for an urgent investigation into allegations of antisemitism at the BBC, according to a report in The Independent on Thursday.

Fulwell 73 managing partner Leo Pearlman, who was an executive producer on the 2021 musical film “Cinderella”, former BBC One controller turned Telegraph columnist Danny Cohen, and former ITV executive Claudia Rosencrantz are among those who signed a letter to members of the BBC Board, the report said.

The letter says that “208 BBC staff, contractors, suppliers and contributors from across the television and film industries, the majority of whom are Jewish,” are in “anguish and disbelief” that previous complaints about coverage and social media breaches amid the Israel-Hamas war have not been dealt with.

“We all work in the film and broadcast industries. But we are also members of the wider British Jewish community and can vouch with certainty that there is a loss of faith in the BBC within our community and a widespread opinion that, when it comes to racism and discrimination at the BBC, ‘Jews don’t count,’” the letter says.

“By contrast, we are certain that were similar incidents to occur at the expense of any other minority, the BBC would show zero tolerance. And with this volume of incidents as documented in our three attachments, they would certainly be worried they might have a serious, institutional racism problem,” it adds, according to The Independent.

“We write to you today to request an urgent formal investigation by the BBC Board into systemic problems of antisemitism and bias at the BBC, alongside senior management’s demonstrable failure to properly address the issue.”

The BBC has repeatedly been criticized for the blatant anti-Israel bias in its reporting and this criticism has increased since Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel and the war in Gaza which followed.

In November, the corporation published an apology after falsely claiming that IDF troops were targeting medical teams in battles in and around the Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

Before that, the BBC falsely accused Israel of being responsible for an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, which the IDF proved was caused by an Islamic Jihad rocket.

The network later acknowledged that “it was false to speculate” on the explosion.

In wake of the criticism, BBC Chair Samir Shah said in December that he intends to review the corporation’s reporting guidelines on the Israel–Hamas war.

More recently, the BBC apologized after one of its senior presenters suggested that Tel Aviv, not Jerusalem, was Israel’s capital.

Thursday’s letter references previous documents, which were sent to BBC chairman Samir Shah in July, in which the group claims there have been multiple breaches of the BBC’s social media guidelines.

Turkish Media Outlets Fall For Israeli Joke, Claim Haniyah’s Assassin Was ‘Amit Nakesh’

Several Turkish media outlets fell for a joke on Israeli media and started claiming that Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh’s assassin was an Israeli agent.

While it is not yet clear how and when Haniyeh was assassinated, Haber Global reported that Mossad agent “Amit Nakesh” assassinated Haniyeh.

The report was later erased after the channel understood that the name was a play on the Hebrew word “hamitnakesh,” which means “the assassin.” Israelis often drop initial “h” sounds; thus, the word “hamitnakesh” is most often pronounced “amitnakesh.” As “Amit” is a popular Israeli name, “amitnakesh” could be split into “Amit Nakesh.”

The Akdeniz Gerçek newspaper went as far as writing a profile for Amit Nakesh, claiming him to be a veteran Mossad agent who formerly served in other Israeli security bodies.

A smaller media outlet, Usak Olay, which also reported on the “identity” of the assassin, wrote that even though Amit Nakesh is a veteran of the Israeli security bodies, it may be that he is an Israeli of Indian origin.

The report added that “security experts are closely examining Amit Nakesh’s role and involvement in the murder of Ismail Haniyeh.”

In May, following the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash, jokes circulated on social media claiming that the crash was intentionally caused by an Israeli agent named Eli Copter.

Israelis usually use the word “masok” for helicopters, but they pronounce the word “helicopter” as “elicopter” due to commonly dropping the initial “h” sound, and thus jokes emerged “naming” the individual who supposedly caused the crash as “Eli Copter.”

Some, however believed Eli Copter to be the name of a Mossad agent, and blamed Israel for the crash.

Investigations have shown that the crash was not intentional or part of a larger plot.

Rabbi Denied Bail Over Illegal ‘Brit Milah’ in Ireland

A London-based rabbi accused of traveling to Ireland to conduct an illegal circumcision on a young child has been denied bail.

Jonathan Abraham, 47, was detained in Dublin on Tuesday and is charged with performing a circumcision on a child without being a registered medical practitioner, at an address in Dublin 15.

The father of ten appeared before Judge Michael Connellan at Dublin District Court on Thursday.

Detective Garda Megan Furey testified that Mr. Abraham “made no reply” when charged at Blanchardstown Garda station.

Bail was opposed due to the seriousness of the charges.

The detective explained that the offence, under the Medical Practitioners Act 2007, could lead to a maximum fine of €130,000 and five years in prison.

Detective Garda Furey stated there was substantial evidence supporting the charge. Gardaí entered the Dublin 15 address shortly after 1 pm on Tuesday with the homeowners’ permission.

The detective reported that they found the accused “dressed in a white robe, a doctor’s-style coat, with blue gloves and a scalpel in his hand.”

The court heard that the room had a table with a changing pad, scissors, and other medical supplies.

“Gardaí also saw a very young child on the changing pad, naked,” she said, adding that they discovered a circumcision had already been performed on another child at the location.

The detective told the court that a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and “it is expected that multiple further charges will follow.”

Expressing concerns about a “significant flight risk,” she noted that the accused flew into Ireland on July 30th around noon and had a return flight booked for that evening. She added that he had no ties to the jurisdiction, no property, assets, or dependents in the country.

She described him as a man of means with a strong incentive to flee and avoid prosecution.

During cross-examination by defense solicitor Tertius Van Eeden, she agreed that if the DPP decided the case should remain in the District Court, the penalties would be much lower: a maximum of six months imprisonment and a fine of up to €5,000.

He suggested that she had omitted this information during her bail objections and was overly eager in assuming the case would go to a higher court, but she did not accept this.

Later, the detective acknowledged that the accused had not claimed to be a doctor and accepted that he was a rabbi.

The garda detective stated he had not provided any information about his training and used the name Rabbi Y. Abraham. The solicitor clarified that Y stood for Yoni, Hebrew for Jonathan.

The solicitor said his client was a member of the Initiation Society, which oversees Jewish circumcisions.

Mr. Van Eeden added that his client, who did not speak in court, was registered as a Mohel, the Hebrew term for someone qualified to perform circumcisions.

The detective admitted being informed of this and said inquiries were still ongoing.

When asked if she had researched this on Google, she said she only learned this around 8 pm on Wednesday.

Pleading for bail, Mr. Van Eeden highlighted that the Initiation Society was the oldest Anglo-Jewish organization, founded in 1745. As a Mohel, he had been performing circumcisions for over 13 years and was fully trained to do so medically and ethically.

The solicitor argued that within the Jewish community, only a Mohel could perform such procedures, and he was insured to do so.

Mr. Van Eeden claimed that if his client had performed the same procedures in England, they would have been completely legal.

However, the judge noted that this was a different jurisdiction.

The solicitor emphasized that these were merely allegations and his client had no prior convictions and was presumed innocent.

The court heard that Mr. Abraham was the primary breadwinner for his family and also received state benefits while his wife worked part-time tutoring children with learning difficulties.

The solicitor mentioned that his client could face a lengthy period in custody, with the trial venue not yet confirmed.

He offered a €5,000 independent surety and assured that Mr. Abraham would comply with conditions not to perform such procedures in Ireland.

Judge Connellan denied bail due to the seriousness of the case, the flight risk, and the strong evidence. Legal aid was granted to the accused, who was remanded in custody awaiting directions from the DPP. Mr. Abraham has yet to enter a plea and will appear again on August 6th at Cloverhill District Court.

Satmar's Favorite airline The LUFTWAFFE scheduled to land in Israel reroutes to Cyprus after crew refuses to fly to Tel Aviv.

Both Satmar Rebbes refuse to fly with El Al because they don't want to "Chas Ve'sholem" give money to other Jews! If they were sick, well then they would have their yentas bring chicken soup!

Their favorite airline? Funny that you should ask!

Their favorite airline is the German Luftwaffa,!

A Lufthansa flight from Munich to Tel Aviv landed Wednesday night in Larnaca, Cyprus, with the crew claiming that Israel's airspace was closed and therefore the flight would return to Munich.

The airline responded to the passengers' anger by offering them to disembark in Larnaca - but without their luggage.

Later, representatives admitted that the decision was made by Lufthansa's security team

"Lufthansa Flight LH682 from Munich to Tel Aviv, which for operational reasons is operated at this stage through Larnaca, will return to Munich after landing in Larnaca at 2:43a.m. CEST this morning, as a means of precaution due to security operations," a Lufthansa spokesperson said.

"The connecting flight from Larnaca to Tel Aviv, as well as the return flight LH683 from Tel Aviv to Munich, which was scheduled to take off today, have been canceled. All of the passengers will be offered alternate flights."

The statement added, "As of now, the other flights planned for today remain unchanged. We apologize for the inconvenience. The safety of the passengers and the crew is our top priority."

Politicians react to IDF confirmation of Deif the one eyed Murderer's killing

Israeli politicians were quick to react to the IDF's confirmation on Thursday that it had killed Mohammed Deif in the July 13 strike in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant shared a post on X, formerly Twitter, depicting him marking an X on a photo of Hamas's military commander.

'The Osama Bin Laden of Gaza'

"Mohammed Deif, the ‘Osama Bin Laden of Gaza,’ was eliminated on 13.07.24. This is a significant milestone in the process of dismantling Hamas as a military and governing authority in Gaza and in the achievement of the goals of this war," Gallant wrote.

"The operation was conducted precisely and professionally by the IDF and ISA. This operation reflects the fact that Hamas is disintegrating and that Hamas terrorists may either surrender or they will be eliminated," he added.

"Israel’s defense establishment will pursue Hamas terrorists - both the planners and the perpetrators of the 07.10 massacre. We will not rest until this mission is accomplished," Gallant concluded.

Opposition head Yair Lapid also commented on the announcement, writing on X, "I Congratulate the IDF, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the security forces, for the successful elimination of Mohammed Deif. An unprecedentedly important military achievement.

"The military achievements should be translated into strategic political achievements, and everything should be done to return the hostages home. now," he further noted.

Yisrael Beytenu's head, Avigdor Liberman, also shared a post in X, writing, "I congratulate and support the security forces for the successful operation that led to the killing of the mass-murderer Mohammed Deif.

"The courage, professionalism, and determination demonstrated by the fighters are evidence of our ability to face any threat," Liberman noted.

"There is no place in the world for those despicable terrorists who massacred, raped, and kidnapped Jews on October 7, and we must make sure that none of them die a natural death," Liberman concluded.

SIX fatal secrets about Harris's dirty past, her lies and hypocrisy that she'll wish you didn't know

No.1: Harris owns the border

Despite attempts by the liberal media to claw back Harris's appointment as Biden's 'border czar', it is indisputably true that she was deputized as such.

'Harris, appointed by Biden as border czar, said she would be looking at the 'root causes' that drive migration' – that's a report from Axios dated April 14, 2021.

By the end of this administration, an estimated 10 million migrants will have crossed into the United States illegally.

Among those are potentially hundreds of known terrorists. And then there's the unknown number of 'gotaways' who have evaded border control.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott told Fox News on Monday that Harris has contacted him 'zero times' throughout her tenure.

Here's Harris during her infamous June 2021 interview with NBC's Lester Holt, who asked why she still hadn't been to the border:

Harris: 'We've been to the border.'

Holt: 'You haven't been to the border.'

Harris: 'I haven't been to Europe.' [Awkward cackling] 'I don't understand the point that you're making.'

No.2: She has repeatedly vouched for Biden's physical and cognitive health

Harris has done this for years, insisting as recently as February that 'we have a very bold and vibrant president in Joe Biden… Our president is in good shape, in good health, and is ready to lead in our second term'.

There are only two explanations for this: Either Harris was kept so far out of the president's loop, privy to nothing of importance, that she had no idea he was in such terrible shape.

Or, more likely to my mind, she lied to the American people out of self-interest.

No.3: She's an alleged bully

Since taking office as VP, Harris has had a staff turnover rate of almost 92 percent, according to a top government watchdog.

Such churn-and-burn has apparently been a Harris hallmark throughout her two decades in public service.

She is reportedly well-known for cursing out her staff, for chasing her most talented hires out the door, and refusing to read her briefing books, then exploding at her staff for being unprepared.

'It's clear that you're not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work,' one ex-staffer told the Washington Post in 2021. 'With Kamala, you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you're constantly sort of propping up a bully and it's not really clear why.'

Again, Harris shares these failings — the alleged lashings-out at loyal staff, the tantrums and the blame-shifting — with President Biden. It all speaks to someone intellectually, and interpersonally incapable of executing the most stressful job in the world.

No.4: Even for a politician, she's particularly craven

After accusing Biden of backing historically racist policies during a televised June 2019 presidential debate — causing Biden to reportedly say during a commercial break, 'Well, that was some f***ing bull****', and forever earning the enmity of Jill Biden — Harris, who dropped out of that race with a 3 percent approval rating, accepted his VP slot.

Biden, remember, caved to pressure to select a black woman as his running mate.

She has also shamelessly shape-shifted from being a tough-on-crime prosecutor, who oversaw more than 1,900 marijuana convictions, to a pro-defund-the-police ally.

Now, of course, she's backtracking once more, tacking center, and boasting of her time in law enforcement.

No.5: Zero foreign policy experience and zero backbone

Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff, is Jewish, yet Harris caves to the radicals in her own party, refusing to attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's wartime address to Congress last week.

When she finally did meet him, Harris warned Netanyahu that 'I will not be silent' over Gaza and that while Israel 'has the right to defend itself' (how condescending), 'how it does so matters'.

Days later, Hezbollah launched rockets into an Israeli playground, killing 12 children and injuring many more.

No.6: No stated premise or philosophy

'We're not going back' is the emerging Harris slogan, and I will say this – it's ingenious.

It allows the voter to project whatever meaning they like, and for women, many will surely interpret this as a call to restore reproductive rights in full. Such is the minefield the Trump-Vance ticket must navigate.

That said, Harris has no existential reason for running. She has no record, no real cause to show after four years as VP.

Right now, she's running on the fumes of relief and emotion, the attempt to turn her into your 'cool wine aunt', a Gen Z 'brat' who is messy and relatable – but this all has a very short shelf life.

If Kamala Harris can't project confidence, purpose and a real, actionable agenda, she will remain nothing but a figurehead — another empty suit that the true Dem powerbrokers put forward as their latest useful idiot.

Media Morons Mourn “Moderate” and “Pragmatic” Dead Hamas Leader

When Israel out Hamas terror boss Ismail Haniyeh, it broke a lot of hearts including that of white BLM leader Shaun King.

King, who is allegedly white, is a former BLM activist turned random grifter who converted to Islam. And like any grifter went to the most extreme cartoonish version of what he imagined that would be like.

In response to Haniyeh’s execution, Shaun King reportedly posted that, “The United States and Israel have just assassinated the dear brother Ismail Haniyeh – who was the political head of Hamas,” the white Muslim BLM leader mourned. “These genocidal monsters think that this weakens Hamas, or weakens the resistance, but it does neither. It will only strengthen both.”

King was not alone. The Houthis were upset. The terror group that attacks civilian ships claimed that, “targeting Ismail Haniyeh is a heinous terrorist crime and a flagrant violation of laws and ideal values.”

But the media was quite upset too and launched its effort to posthumously rebrand the Hamas boss as “moderate” and “pragmatic”.

The BBC described Haniyeh as “moderate and pragmatic”. “Ismail Haniyeh was the pragmatic face of Hamas – his death is a major blow for the group”, Sky News headlined its coverage. “Haniyeh was the public face of Hamas’s diplomacy in Arab capitals. He was leading efforts to negotiate a ceasefire in Gaza.”

Reuters followed the meme: “Tough-talking Haniyeh was seen as the more moderate face of Hamas”.

What’s the source of this false media meme? As usual, Hamas’ state sponsors in Qatar.

“Palestinians across Gaza and the West Bank also view Ismail Haniyeh as a moderate leader who is much more pragmatic compared to other leaders who head the military side of the movement,” Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud in Gaza said.

If only he had also been an austere religious scholar too.

Israel’s strikes on terror chiefs show it will fight alone — despite US reluctance

On Tuesday, Iran’s newly inaugurated President Masoud Pezeshkian was greeted with the now all-too-familiar frenzied chants of “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” in the streets, cafes and public squares of Tehran.

The crowds should have tried screaming “Death to Haniyeh.” It would have been far more prescient.

That day, just hours after meeting with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran by an apparent precision-guided missile, no doubt courtesy of the Israel Defense Forces.

Good riddance.

Haniyeh, the terror group’s top political honcho, was responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people — including hundreds of Americans — in the war against Israel he started.

He was a primary driver of the Oct. 7 attacks and directly culpable in the murder and kidnapping of US citizens — seven of whom are still being held dead or alive by Hamas in Gaza.

Israel is showing the White House how to win.

After months of self-defeating handcuffing by the Biden administration and its insistence on restraint and “proportionate responses,” Israel said “enough” — and went for Hamas’ jugular.

Killing Haniyeh in Tehran wasn’t the only victory of the day.

Earlier, in Beirut, Israel claimed responsibility for killing Fuad Shukr, the third-ranking member in command of Hezbollah.

Shukr is widely believed to have been responsible for last Saturday’s attack that killed 12 Druze children on a soccer field in the Golan Heights in Northern Israel.

The two targeted actions were a continuation of the IDF’s overall strategy to disassemble, on a top-down basis, Hamas, Hezbollah and the military command structure of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps — one leader at a time.

Khamenei and Hassan Nasrallah, Iran’s Hezbollah toady, suffered left and right hooks from Israel in the span of 24 hours.

Both men likely now are wondering if their own bunkers are deep enough — and fear now may drive them to all-out war with Jerusalem.

They’re also likely looking over their shoulders, wondering who in their orbit clued in the Mossad — Israel’s intelligence service — to Haniyeh’s and Shukr’s locations, deep behind enemy lines in Beirut and Tehran.

Khamenei cannot let this pass: After all, Haniyeh died in his capital and on a day that the Axis of Resistance had gathered in Tehran to witness the inauguration of Pezeshkian.

What was to be a gathering of the mighty and defiant enemies of Israel and the West proved to be the assembly of the weak and vulnerable.

Regime survival demands a response, and losing face to this enemy could rapidly destroy Khamenei’s grip on power throughout Iran.

Yet Iran’s first attempt at hitting Israel directly on April 14 proved to be a spectacular failure — and an embarrassment all of its own.

Only a handful of hundreds of Iranian drones, ICBM missiles and glide bombs got through Israeli defenses, and none hit a significant target.

The first reprisal move made by IRGC Brigadier General Esmail Qaani might be to unleash his proxies in Syria, Iraq and Yemen to target American military forces.

The goal would be to kinetically exploit what Iran likely interprets to be the growing wedge between Vice President Kamala Harris and Netanyahu.

Harris last week — wittingly or not — sent that message to Khamenei and Nasrallah as she crassly pandered to Gen Z and progressive voters by opting to embarrass Netanyahu at the White House, using their bilateral meeting to criticize Israel over its war against Hamas.

The presumptive Democratic nominee said she wouldn’t be silent — and on Tuesday, Bibi in effect responded, saying with Israel’s actions that he will not be cowed by ill-advised White House obstructionism.

Iran will have to try to hit Israel; Khamenei has vowed revenge — including, purportedly, a direct strike.

But his calculus must include doing so without threatening his nuclear-weapons program, which is rapidly approaching breakout.

Unleashing Hezbollah might, in Khamenei’s view, be the only option that ensures regime survival and preserves his nuclear facilities.

Israel, however, may not wait.

The IDF sent Khamenei and Nasrallah the same message Tuesday: Israel is not afraid of you — and we are willing to take you on alone, with or without White House support.

Doubt Israel?

Just ask Haniyeh or Shukr.

They just learned how to negotiate a permanent cease-fire the hard way.

Vance rips Biden-Harris admin over 9/11 plea deals: ‘We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them’

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance ripped the Biden-Harris administration Wednesday for cutting an anger-inducing plea deal that will spare three terrorists allegedly responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks from the death penalty.

“We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them,” Vance told a crowd of supporters at a campaign stop in Glendale, Arizona.

The Ohio senator referenced The Post’s exclusive story that revealed the Department of Defense- approved pre-trial agreements with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — the accused principal architect of the al Qaeda attacks — and two alleged co-conspirators, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi.

The plea deal lets the men live out their days behind bars.

“Just today, I heard that the Biden-Harris Department of Justice cut a deal with al Qaeda terrorist Khalid Sheik Mohammed to avoid the death penalty. As someone who enlisted in the Marines to serve after 9/11, that is ridiculous, but it’s not surprising,” Vance, 39, said at Wednesday’s rally.

“Just think about the point that we’ve gotten to: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have weaponized the Department of Justice to go after their political opponents, but they’re cutting a sweetheart deal with 9/11 terrorists,” he continued, incorrectly identifying the DOJ as the prosecuting agency.

“We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them.”

The statement earned a hearty round of applause from the crowd, echoing sentiments from across the country, especially from the surviving loved ones of the Twin Towers tragedy who felt death was the only appropriate punishment for the perpetrators of the heinous attacks.

The plea deal wasn’t the only thing Vance blamed Harris for.

The “Hillbilly Elegy” author slammed her position as “border czar” during her three and a half years as vice president, during which time about 1.7 million migrants slipped past Border Patrol and are living in the US, according to data from the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability.

Vance also poked fun at Harris’ accent, which was mocked relentlessly on social media after she seemingly slipped into a southern drawl during a Tuesday rally in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Kamala Harris is a phony who caters to whatever audience is in front of her,” the Republican said, referencing the “fake southern accent.”

“Now, what the hell is that all about? Kamala Harris grew up in Canada. They don’t talk like that in Vancouver or Quebec or wherever she came from. Doesn’t matter. It’s the same new liberal policies, but a different accent [depending on] whoever she’s talking to.”

The quip comes on the heels of Trump’s own claims that Harris “became black” in recent years to appeal to a wider audience.

The ex-president accused Harris — who graduated from the historically black Howard University in 1986 and was a member of a black sorority — of being a “phony” and a “fake.”

“I’ve known her a long time indirectly — not directly very much — and she was always of Indian heritage and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was black — until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black,” the 45th president told a black journalist conference in Chicago Wednesday.

“And now she wants to be known as black, so I don’t know is she Indian or is she black … but you know what, I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t.”

Iranian Jews: 'Take revenge on Israel for Haniyeh assassination'

The Tehran Central Jewish Committee published a letter on Wednesday condemning the elimination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and called for an Iranian response.

"The murder of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hama's political bureau, in Tehran, constitutes a terrorist crime and a clear violation of international law," the letter opens.

They added that Haniyeh "was one of the standard bearers of the honorable Jerusalem liberation movement, suffered several attempted murders, and dedicated his life to the support and defense of the oppressed people of Gaza. He and several of his family members were killed in terror attacks and now the cowardly and criminal Zionists murdered him in his safe home in Tehran.

One of Haniyeh's Own Bodyguards Played Part In Elimination, Missile Fired From Nearby Building

Iranian media outlets are reporting that one of Hamas leader Ismail Hanieyh’s bodyguards is the one who conveyed information to the operatives who eliminated him.

The reports added that the missile fired at Haniyeh was not only fired from within Iran but was fired from a nearby building.

The operatives launched an Israeli-made Spike short-range missile into the room where  Haniyeh was staying at an IRCG “guest house” in northern Tehran.

According to the reports, it is possible that more than one of Hanieyh’s bodyguards assisted the “operatives’ in the elimination.

KHAMENEI ORDERS DIRECT STRIKE ON ISRAEL

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, YM"S has reportedly ordered a direct strike on Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the NY Times reports quoting three informed Iranian officials.

The order was allegedly given during an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council on Wednesday morning, shortly after the announcement of Haniyeh’s death, said the officials, including two members of the Revolutionary Guards, who requested anonymity as they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Iran and Hamas have accused Israel of carrying out the assassination. Israel, currently engaged in a conflict with Hamas in Gaza, has not confirmed or denied responsibility for Haniyeh’s death, who was in Tehran for the inauguration of Iran’s new president. Israel has a history of targeting its enemies abroad, including Iranian nuclear scientists and military figures.

Throughout the nearly 10-month conflict in Gaza, Iran has aimed to maintain a balance, intensifying pressure on Israel through increased attacks by its regional allies and proxies, while avoiding a full-scale war between the two countries.

In April, Iran launched one of its most significant and overt attacks on Israel in decades, firing hundreds of missiles and drones in retaliation for an Israeli strike on its embassy compound in Damascus, Syria, which killed several Iranian military commanders. However, this assault was anticipated, most of the weapons were intercepted by Israel and its allies, resulting in minimal damage.

Airlines Cancel Flights to Israel Amid Rising Tensions, Stranding Thousands

Several major American and British airlines have informed passengers that flights to Israel are canceled due to escalating tensions involving Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, according to Hebrew media reports.

Delta has reportedly canceled its flights until August 2, while British Airways has done the same. United Airlines has canceled its flights until August 6.

These cancellations have left tens of thousands of Israelis stranded in the United States.

The decisions by United and Delta, the second-and third-largest airlines globally, are expected to lead to similar actions by other airlines, as suggested by some reports.
