For First Time In 2000 Years, 5 Kosher Para Adumahs Land In Israel

Hundreds of people gathered at Ben Gurion airport to witness an amazing and rare sight: Five kosher red heifers (Parah Aduma) which can be used for the purification of the dead.

For nearly 2000 years there has been no possibility for Jews to purify themselves are coming into contact with the dead, but the heifers, which have been checked and authorized by a number of rabbis, could enable this mitzvah to be fulfilled in the near future. According to the Rambam, the red heifer rites will be renewed at the time when Moshiach is near.

Iranian Forces Murder 5 of their own citizens During Protest Over Woman’s Death

Iranian security forces killed five protesters who took to the streets of the capital on Monday to protest the death of a young woman who had been detained for violating the country’s conservative dress code.

Security forces fired on protesters in Iran’s Kurdish region, according to a report by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization. Five were killed, 75 were wounded, and at least 250 people were arrested.

Magen David Yeshiva asks transgender teacher to leave amid uproar over her identity

Talia Avrahami, a transgender woman who left her position at a Brooklyn yeshiva, after a controversy over her identity.

With her husband and daughter

A transgender woman left her teaching position at an Orthodox Jewish New York City day school this week, after an uproar over her identity.

The teacher, Talia Avrahami, has faced widespread harassment in the past week over the issue and agreed on Friday to leave her position at the Magen David Yeshivah in Brooklyn.

“It’s sad to see that some people want to derail our lives,” Avrahami told The Times of Israel. “We’re questioning whether or not our entire lives are ruined or not. It’s tough.”

The school told her she was not a good fit for the social studies class.

The religious Jewish day school, or yeshiva, sent an email to parents over the weekend, saying, “Please be advised that beginning Monday, September 19th, your child will have a replacement teacher for Social Studies.”

“We respect this former instructor and after mutual agreement have parted ways in an amicable and professional manner,” the school told The Times of Israel. Avrahami said she could not discuss details of her resignation.

The incident has been widely discussed in online public forums in the religious New York Jewish community.

Avrahami was asked to leave days after the school’s “parents night,” when the students’ parents visit the school to meet with teachers.

One of the parents apparently filmed Avrahami introducing herself and the video spread quickly online and in group chats, stoking controversy, as some accused her of being a man masquerading as a woman.

Avrahami has since been targeted online and in person. She was attacked on social media, community sites ran stories with accusatory headlines, and she started receiving harassing messages from strangers, as her phone number and social media accounts circulated.

Lebanon Arrests American Yeshiva Student as a Spy then releases him

Lebanese security forces arrested an American Jew last week after finding out he had recently been in Israel, according to a Monday report.

He was detained in Beirut and released after several days, the Kan public broadcaster reported.

Lebanese authorities apparently suspected the man of espionage or collaborating with Israel, the report said.

The man in his 20s had recently studied in a Jerusalem yeshiva and arrived in Lebanon after visiting Cyprus. He intended to travel from Lebanon to the Kurdish region of Iraq, the report said.

Officials involved in the case told Kan that after the man arrived in Lebanon and went to his hotel, Lebanese security forces arrested him there because they had discovered he ordered the hotel reservation from Israel.

His passport also had markings indicating it had been used in Israel.

The incident was kept quiet in Lebanon, as American officials, including Congress members, pressed for the man’s release, the report said.

He was eventually released on Thursday or Friday and traveled from Lebanon to the United Arab Emirates, Kan reported.

The report comes as Israel and Lebanon navigate delicate US-brokered negotiations over access to offshore gas reserves.

Israel and Lebanon are technically at war and do not have diplomatic ties, and the powerful Lebanese Hezbollah terror group has repeatedly threatened Israel over the gas fields.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun said Monday the negotiations to end the maritime border dispute were in their “final stages.”

Prime Minister Yair Lapid expressed optimism but said Israel will extract gas from the Karish offshore field with or without an agreement.

A Conversation in Shul about the "Shidduch Crises"

A conversation in shul recently took place on a Sunday morning between a prominent lawyer talmid chochom and a mechanech.  The subject of the conversation was about a Kollel for single bochurim. The conversation went something like this:

Mechanech:  “The aim is to create Torah scholars for the next generation that are fully proficient in seder nezikin and Choshain Mishpat.  Twenty-five bochurim would be hand-picked for their commitment to learning Torah b’hasmadah, for their ability to study Torah in great depth, and for their ehrlichkeit.  The Kollel would pay the bochurim $50,000 per year in order to ensure that their financial needs would be met – allowing them to learn undisturbed.  The only condition of the Kollel is that the twenty-five bochurim must commit to remain in the Kollel until the age of forty, and to remain single during the duration.”

The response from the lawyer was, “WHAT?  That is against halacha!”

“Why?  It is for Torah growth.”

“But until forty?  I have never heard of such a thing.  Chazal tell us that one must marry young.  This is something that Gedolei HaDor, the einei yisroel must pasken.  And I highly doubt that this question was brought up to them.”

“But think of the future benefits..  Don’t you see the advantages of such an idea?”

“Yes, but I also see the disadvantages – The Gemorah encourages everyone to marry young.  Also, it would exasperate an already catastrophic shidduch situation.”

“Okay, but what would you say if they knocked down that last requirement to 35 years of age.  There are plenty of bochurim that do get married at 35.  Then would you agree that it is a good idea?”

“Absolutely not!  We don’t change what Chazal tell us – no matter what.”

“Well, you wouldn’t disagree with it  if it was until age 30.  If they adjusted the requirement until age 30 – then you would surely be behind it, no?”

“I would ask Gedolei Torah.  I would not go a day longer than what the Gedolim would say. But I still think that they would never agree to such an idea.

It reads "Milchama" WAR!

Do they mean, chas veshalom, the war that Gaza perpetrated against Israel, when Arab murderers rained over 4,000 missiles against innocent Jews?
Naa!
For that they could only find a little corner on the bottom of the page.
So, what "War" are they talking about?

They are talking about the "war"...  the article posted in Yiddish by The New York Times!
An article that took Chassidishe Yeshivos to task for taking money from the "medina" the government but refusing to teach basic secular subjects like English, Math, which they promised to do.
I wrote previously that I am against government intervention in private schools, but having said that, I have to point out that their "war story" is an outright lie!

All "Yeshivishe" chadarim teach these basic secular subjects in all their moisdois. Even in Chassidishe schools, they used to teach these subjects, see the Bobover ad below. They teach it in Stolin, Chasan Sofer and Ger.
The Bobover Rebbe, R' Shlomo z"l used to hire English teachers to teach his son, R' Ben Zion, the Rebbe of the entire 48th Street!

I had friends that used to teach English and Math in Satmar! Yes, you read that right...in Satmar. But that went out the window years ago, because it was hard to find English teachers that would put up with the sheer chutzpa, disrespect and no basic derech eretz from these Satmar children.
They do teach these secular subjects in their girl's schools today and teach it to Satmar children that are challenged.

So to teach girls that will be the עקרת הבית, and will ultimately be responsible for the רוחניות of their families, that is ok, but to teach basic English to the ones who are responsible for the פרנסה that is chazir treif!

In addition, their fictious lie that this was their "mesorah" not to teach secular subjects is laughable.
Practically all Satmar Chassidim speak and write Hungarian fluently, the barbaric language, to this day.
When their ancestors lived in Romania which turned into Hungary, they were required to learn the language, and this was taught in their moisdois. The girls had to go to public school where they sat with goyim and shiksas to learn Hungarian. After the war, they brought this ugly language to the USA; a lot of them could not speak Yiddish.

They had no such mesorah!
In fact, it was the Jews living in Poland and the Litvaks that, didn't learn the language, though the women did go to "gymnasium" a Public High School. In fact, after the war, most Jewish Polish survivors that I knew couldn't speak Polish, while all the Hungarians spoke Hungarian!

In the Lita, where they didn't teach secular subjects, the students of the top yeshivois like Volozin were drawn to the Haskala and most of them were lost to yiddishkeit, except of course when Hitler ym"s reminded their children and grandchildren that they were indeed, Jews!

In fact, the Litvaks keep repeating the lie that the Netziv closed the Yeshiva because the Russians required the Yeshiva to introduce Russian. This lie has been repeated so many times, that it is now a fact, though, it's actually a lie. The Yeshiva was closed because of family infighting shhhhhhhh! (והמבין יבין)

All the politicians that the Chassidishe Moisdois "tuchis lekked" like Nadler, Goldman and their lovely girlfriend Hochul stabbed them in the back and front and backed openly the decision from the Regents  to oversee Yeshivois. (though Hochol Pokas remained silent).

The bottom line is, that Satmar may have to take their own advice they freely give to the moisdos of Israel, not to take any money from the "medina."
This may actually be a "war" but until they stop taking money, like the Amish in Pennsylvania, they lost it!

Herzog pays respects to Queen Elizabeth as she lies in state

President Isaac Herzog and his wife, Michal, paid their final respects to the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II on Sunday, passing by her coffin as she lay in state at the British Parliament in London.

Herzog is one of many world leaders who arrived in London ahead of the queen’s funeral on Monday.

“On behalf of the State of Israel, its citizens, and the Jewish People, I paid respects to HM Queen Elizabeth II at her Lying-in-State,” Herzog tweeted. “The Queen was a true ‘woman of valour,’ as we say in the Jewish tradition, a beacon of stability and a historic figure. We grieve with Britain.”

Herzog later signed a condolence book for the queen at Lancaster House in London.

In an English-language video message, Herzog offered his condolences on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people.

“She was truly a leader that transcends time, intergenerational, she saw where the world was 70 years ago and how it is today. Her reign was truly majestic and she truly personified the word majesty,” he said.

“In fact, she showed stability, strength, and wisdom which was radiated throughout the world.”

The “amazing” scenes outside as Britons mourned the queen were something, Herzog said, “we will never forget.”

“The people of Israel and the people of Britain are really close friends and our nations are closer than ever,” he said.

Herzog also wished the new king good luck in his role:

“I would like to wish King Charles III a long reign of peace, justice, stability and dignity. May he succeed and God bless the King,” he declared.

On Sunday evening the Herzogs attended a state reception for the visiting world leaders, hosted by King Charles.

Guests included US President Joe Biden, France’s President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

Also on the guest list were many heads of Arab states among them King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania, Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the prime minister and vice president of the United Arab Emirates.

Kuwait Crown Prince Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai, were also at the event, described in British press as “the reception of the century.”

It was the largest such British royal reception for world leaders since the death of Queen Elizabeth II’s father, George VI, in 1952.

A state funeral will be held Monday for the queen at Westminster Abbey, the imposing location for royal coronations, marriages and funerals for more than 1,000 years.

After the funeral, the flag-draped coffin of the queen, topped with the majestic Imperial State Crown, will be taken west to Windsor Castle, where she will be laid to rest.

In this Crazed World a Baltimore police arrests ‘good guy with the gun’ who stopped armed attacker

After Marine veteran Lloyd Muldrow stopped an attack by an armed assailant at a Baltimore bar, police officers thanked him — and then they arrested him.

Now the Good Samaritan credited with saving a man’s life faces up to a year in prison, charged with violating a city ordinance that forbids bringing handguns within 100 feet of a public building, even though he neutralized the attack without drawing his pistol.

Mr. Muldrow, a North Carolina security specialist, holds a concealed weapons permit, but it was issued in Virginia, not Maryland. Even so, he has no intention of accepting a plea deal when he appears at his Oct. 31 hearing in Baltimore Circuit Court.

“I’m not going to settle with probation or anything like that. I don’t think it’s fair,” he told The Washington Times. “I’ve carried overseas in different countries, and you’re telling me I can’t carry my weapon from one state to another? I’ve trained more than the average police officer, and I can’t carry from Virginia to Maryland? I have a real big problem with that.”

His attorney, Michael Stark of Maryland’s Stark Defense, said that the “good guy with the gun was placed under arrest for having a gun.”

3,000-Year-Old Egyptian Burial Cave Discovered Intact At Palmachim Nature Reserve

In a remarkable discovery which occurred accidentally last week at the Palmachim nature reserve, a popular coastal recreation site near Rishon Letzion, a burial cave from the time of Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses II was discovered. The cave contains dozens of intact objects including candles in the places where they were lit, amphorae and human remains.

The unusual discovery was made last Tuesday during works conducted by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority to develop a garden at the nature reserve. A tractor accidently hit a rock, revealing the ceiling of an ancient burial cave.

Jake Turx Debunks Biden’s Hoax About Trump

This past week, Ami Magazine’s Jake Turx called out a lie that President Biden has repeatedly told about President Trump, falsely claiming that Trump supports Neo-Nazis.

At a White House “unity” event (which was heavily divisive), Turx questioned ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt about Biden’s nasty comments, and Greenblatt did not defend them. Turx also pointed out the hypocrisy of using divisive rhetoric at a unity event.

The question centers around the false claim which Democrats love to recycle, alleging Trump referred to neo-Nazis at a 2017 riot in Charlottesville, Virginia as “very fine people.” In reality, Trump said they should be “condemned totally,” and distinguished them from peaceful protesters whom Trump called “very fine “people on both sides of the issue of whether to remove a Confederate statue.

The hoax has been repeatedly debunked, yet Biden continues to use it.

Leftist Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, did not defend Biden when asked about the comments after a White House “unity summit” on Thursday. However rather than admitting Biden was lying, Greenblatt dodged the issue and made other false claims about Trump, attempting to justify Biden’s vicious attack.

Turx asked whether it was “good faith” for the president to attempt to unify the country while using a divisive hoax that had been widely debunked, and Greenblatt replied:

“If President Trump had been able to say, clearly and consistently — not just in the minutes after Charlottesville, but in the days in the weeks, in the month, in the years, to call out David Duke when given the chance, to not say “stand back and stand by” to the Proud Boys when given a chance to condemn them, to not tweet out antisemitic memes whether they are directed at Hillary Clinton or the press or anyone else, to call out the “Great Replacement Theory” — I could go on and on and on and on and on, but the reason why we’re here is because the failure to communicate that gave permission, gave license to hate, and make no mistake — whether it’s white supremacists, armed militia groups, enraged sovereign citizens, radical anti-Zionists, enraged jihadists — it’s become open season on everyone in this environment.”

Greenblatt was essentially justifying Biden’s lies, based on other things that Trump has done, which were also false.

Trump repeatedly condemned white supremacist David Duke, although it was not reported by the mainstream media. Trump also condemned the “Proud Boys” at a debate, and borrowed the term “stand by” from moderator Chris Wallace, while it was quite clear from the context that Trump was not supporting them in any way.

The very rare “antisemitic memes” tweeted by Trump were extremely subtle and appeared to be unintentional, such as a retweet of Hillary Clinton against a background of cash with a six-pointed star, which the campaign said was a mistake.

And “Great Replacement Theory” is a white-supremacist spin of an actual Democrat strategy of leveraging an open-borders policy to produce millions of new Democratic voters.

Russia Warns: “We Won’t Guarantee Safety Of Chassidim In Uman On Rosh Hashanah”

After Hitler ym"s murdered over 6 million Jews, Jews looked back and asked "how didn't we see the signs and escape?" They were warned by Jabotinsky and others. Jabotinsky was a Ukrainian and he knew what the Ukrainians were capable of, and he knew that given the opportunity they would massacre men, women and children.
Jews couldn't believe that the most civilized country in the world, Germany, would become the biggest barbarians.
Kristallnacht was a warning, but the Jews in Poland, Hungary and Romania weren't worried as their leaders and their Gedoilim were telling them that "Hitler would never get there!"

It's now over 70 years and we learned nothing!
Instead of running away from that Jewish blood-soaked cursed Ukraine, they are flocking by the tens of thousands to a rabbi long gone. They don't care to read the signs from Above to stay home with their families and daven with live rabbanim, instead they disregard warnings from the Russians and the Ukrainians and are forging ahead into the inferno headfirst.

I hope and pray with all my heart that all goes well, and they come back alive and healthy.

Israel’s Ambassador in Moscow Alexander Ben-Tzvi held a meeting last week with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on the issue of Jews gathering in Uman for Rosh Hashanah.

Ben-Tzvi informed Bogdanov that although Israel issued travel warnings to Ukraine and Ukrainian officials warned Israeli not to come, there are already several thousand Israelis in Uman.

Israel’s Channel 12 News reported that Bogdanov told Ben-Tzvi that Russia won’t guarantee the welfare of the Jews in Uman.

“This is a real danger,” Bogdanov said. “Russia cannot guarantee the Israelis’ safety.”

Nevertheless, Bogdanov asked for further information about the Israeli presence in Uman so that he could pass it on to the relevant authorities in the Russian army.

Meanwhile, in light of the many thousands of Jews already in Uman, volunteers of the United Hatzalah branch in Uman are busy with a dramatic increase in the number of calls for their services.

Mattis Shapiro, head of Hatzalah Uman, said: “Hatzalah volunteers, in cooperation with medics and paramedics from Israel and the US, will work in shifts around the clock to provide an immediate response to cases that are received at the lcoal emergency hotline 063-800-1221. It should be noted that as part of the streamlining of the security operation, Hatzalah volunteers hung up dozens of regional number signs in 15 areas near the kever in Uman – facilitating the rapid arrival of emergency and rescue forces.”

Aharon Ben Harosh, deputy head of Hatzalah Uman, said: “We equipped all the Uman ambulances with the necessary medical equipment in order to provide a quick response to the volunteers in Uman and in Ukraine for any emergency and medical assistance.”

Israel’s future depends on Charedi integration

A hundred and twenty-five years ago, Theodor Herzl failed in his efforts to persuade ultra-Orthodox leaders to join the Zionist movement. Fifty years later, after the Holocaust and before the establishment of the State of Israel, the political leaders of the Agudat Israel movement decided not to remain in isolation, signed the Declaration of Independence and joined the Israeli political system. Today, 74 years later, we are at a crossroads regarding the question of isolation or integration of the ultra-Orthodox community into Israeli society. Any decision will have critically significant consequences not only for the ultra-Orthodox community but for the entirety of Israeli society and the country’s economy.

Fundamental to ultra-Orthodox society is its isolationist or “enclave culture.” The Haredi community fights for its autonomy in order to shield itself from the temptations of modernity and secular life, and focus exclusively on strictly religious life. This enclave culture poses five main challenges for Israeli policymakers.

Documentary recounts the hell and fury of Jewish partisans who fought the Nazis

In 1944, Faye Schulman, a young Jewish partisan, emerged from the forest into her hometown of Lenin, Poland, on a mission to burn houses the Nazis were using as their wartime offices. One of those houses, she soon discovered, was her own.

As she wandered through her childhood home, she spied an old potato peeler still on the floor. Schulman thought of the rest of her family — already murdered by the Nazis by that point — and realized, even if she survived the war herself, that she would never be able to live in that house again.

“Burn it,” she told her fellow partisans. She lit the match herself. Then she posed for a photograph among the ashes.

News poll: Religious Zionism is the third largest party in the Knesset

A poll by Prof. Camil Fuchs published by Channel 13 News on Friday gives the Netanyahu bloc 60 seats, an increase of one compared to a poll published on Wednesday.

As for the Joint List, which split right before the Knesset slates were submitted, Hadash-Ta'al wins 4 seats, but Balad falls below the electoral threshold with 1.2 percent support.

Likud increases by one seat to 32 compared to a poll earlier this week, followed by Yesh Atid, which again wins 24 seats.

The third largest party is still Religious Zionism, which receives 13 seats, unchanged from Wednesday's poll, while Benny Gantz’s National Unity Party has 12 seats. Shas wins 8 seats and United Torah Judaism wins 7 seats, both continuing to maintain their strength.

Labor and Meretz again win five seats each and Avigdor Liberman’s Yisrael Beytenu remains stable with 6 seats. Mansour Abbas's Ra’am Party rounds out the list with 4 seats.

The Jewish Home, under Ayelet Shaked, remains below the electoral threshold with 2 percent support, as is Eli Avidar's Free Israel Party, with 0.4 percent.
