IDF Uncovers Terror Tunnel Inside Israeli Territory Near Southern Gaza Strip

The IDF reported Tuesday that it has uncovered a “terror tunnel”  in the Gaza Strip that ran dozens of meters into Israeli territory. The IDF reported that while it was installing a barrier system on the border, it received an “indication” that there was a tunnel tens of meters underneath.  Military engineers then succeeded in locating the concrete-lined tunnel i an area near the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.

“The route [of the tunnel] was located as part of ongoing efforts to find and neutralize tunnels and thanks to the technological and [intelligence] capabilities of the barrier,” the IDF said in a statement.

It says the tunnel did not reach far enough into Israel to bypass an underground barrier being built beneath the border area and did not pose a threat to communities in the area.

The IDF stressed that it holds the Hamas terror group responsible for the tunnel as it is the ruling party in the Gaza strip.

“The IDF is determined to defend Israel’s sovereignty and the security of its citizens and will continue to act against terror — above and below ground — in every area where it may be required,” the military says.

The announcement comes a day after the IDF restricted access to the southern Gaza border area due to what it said was an unspecified “engineering operation.” It stressed there was no danger to residents of the area and on Monday night eased the security restrictions.

Rabbi Yehuda Levin Sings Scathing Song In Front Of Joe Biden’s House

Long time controversial pro-life and family values activist Rabbi Yehuda Levin made an appearance on October 5th in front of Joe Biden’s house.

Rabbi Levin was joined by several pro-life activists, some holding signs. Behind Rabbi Levin, a large yellow sign was being held up, which read in bright red and black lettering, “It’s a SIN to vote for Joe Biden.”

Instead of reading a speech, Rabbi Levin used the power of song to express his feelings on Joe Biden.

After resounding applause from the assembled crowd, Rabbi Levin then began to exclaim, “I have a question for Joe Biden! Will you denounce some…so called jewish republicans that have compared Trump to Hitler? After all, you say you are the leader of the democratic party!”

Rabbi Levin continued questioning Biden’s character, wondering aloud if he would denounce Kamala Harris’ questionable values.

Levin concluded his remarks by calling Biden an “intellectual lightweight” who has problems with his own religion. “Joe, what you told Trump applies to you,” Levin continued. “When it comes to the jewish religion, please shut up.”

Rabbi Yehuda Levin has been a lifelong vocal religious conservative and opposes LGBT rights and abortion.

"Langeh Rekkel" Eichenstein Crawles Out of His Silent Cave to Personally Attack the Governor

Who goes out to vote for these naive stupid fools?
Which Frum Jew that learned even one  blatt gemarrah in his entire life would pull a lever to vote for these "galitzyaners" and who is advising this "up'grissinar naar?'

He is a political midget, who is absolutely clueless on how government works ... he thinks this is a battle between Bobov 45 and Bobov 48
...doesn't realize that he is playing in the Major Leagues.

Where was he hiding till now? The last time we saw him was with that raving lunatic Heshy Tishler breaking the locks to the park...
Does he even know that he will be crawling back like a caterpillar to Cuomo to get funds for the "moisdois?" Does he think that by attacking Cuomo personally he will get anything for his constituents?
This is not a battle between the Republicans and the DemocRATS....
"Langeh Rekkel" forgets that in New York , all are from the same party ... he is a stooge for Ezra "the kapo" Friedlander who begged naive dumb Boro-Park Jews to register for the democrat party..
Well now suck it up and shut up!

Guys ... I actually do not like Cuomo ... and despise him ...
but I think that Cuomo is far smarter and shrewder than "langeh rekkel" Eich- en- shtein.. ..
Cuomo will eat him for for a snack ...and kick him to the curb ... he means nothing to Cuomo or the Assembly ..Eich-en-shtein is only an annoying mosquito to any serious legislator ... he is in way over his head ...
If you want the moisdos open ... follow the rules... simple as that ..and that's what he should have been addressing ....

Cryi'n Schumer Trying to Shut Down Senate in protest of Barrett confirmation effort

Just reminding my fellow Frum Jews ... that this menuval Chucky Shumer was endorsed by the askanim and the "gedoilim" ....

Let that sink in!

Republicans on Monday night stalled a move by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to close down the Senate until after the presidential election as the body's top Democrat continues to protest the effort to confirm Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett before the end of the month.

"Because our Republican colleagues have made such a mockery of the Supreme Court confirmation process, we are not going to have business as usual here in the Senate," Schumer said Monday. "Tonight I will move to bring up a vote under the Congressional Review Act and force Action on a resolution to undo the Trump administration's gutting ... of the Community Reinvestment Act."

Why Israel Chose to Aid an Ailing Terrorist Leader

It’s the kind of story that drives a lot of friends of Israel nuts. One of its chief opponents, Palestinian Liberation Organization senior leader Saeb Erekat recently fell ill with COVID-19. Faced with the decision as to where to be treated, it was only natural that instead of going to a Palestinian hospital or even one in neighboring Jordan, he chose to go to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.

This is, after all, the same person who spent his career lying about Israel, and smearing it as a nation of oppressors and war criminals. He’s part of a government that spends far more on paying salaries and pensions to terrorists and their families than on hospitals. Indeed, in March of this year, he actually went as far as to falsely allege that Israelis were spitting on Palestinian cars so as to spread the coronavirus to them. And though he has served as the P.A.’s chief peace negotiator, he’s spent his tenure in that position working to make peace negotiations impossible, swearing that he will never recognize Israel as a Jewish state and end the ongoing conflict.

However, when faced with the question of where was the best place in the region to seek help, Israel was the obvious answer. One of the region’s pre-eminent health-care facilities, Hadassah and its doctors took him in. The odds may be against the seriously ill Erekat, who has already had a lung transplant and a heart attack, surviving the illness. But if he were to have a chance anywhere, it would be there.

The better question is: Why would Israel, which has been on the receiving end of his vitriol, slanders and worse, open its doors to Erekat and do what it could to save him?

People are tired of Fauci and all these idiots

US President Donald Trump went after top government scientist Dr. Anthony Fauci in a call with campaign staffers on Monday, suggesting he was an "idiot", AFP reported.

"People are tired of COVID," Trump was quoted as having told his campaign team in a call on which several members of the press were present.

"People are saying, 'Whatever -- just leave us alone.' They're tired of it. People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots," the President added.

"He's been here for, like, 500 years," Trump complained of the 79-year-old Fauci.

"Fauci, if we listened to him, we'd have 700,000 (or) 800,000 deaths," Trump claimed on the call, before saying that it would be counterproductive to fire him before the presidential election November 3.

While Fauci is a key member of the White House coronavirus task force, he and Trump have not seen eye to eye on several issues related to the federal response to the pandemic.

Trump's remarks came a week after Fauci expressed displeasure at the use of a clip of him in a Trump campaign video about the coronavirus.

The ad discusses Trump’s effort to recover from the coronavirus personally, as well as his administration’s work to address the pandemic. The 30-second spot uses older remarks from Fauci in a way that suggests he was praising the president.

“I can’t imagine that anybody could be doing more,” the ad shows Fauci saying.

Those remarks are from a March interview, where Fauci was discussing the broader effort, including by the White House coronavirus task force.

"In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate," Fauci hit back, saying his statements in the video were taken out of context.

At various points during the pandemic response, Fauci has clarified or corrected Trump's public comments on the development of COVID-19 treatments and vaccines.

Leading Sephardic Rabbi 'Not wearing a mask? Your prayers are an abomination'

A leading Sephardic haredi rabbi ruled Monday that prayer groups must exclude worshippers who aren’t wearing face masks, calling their prayers “an abomination”.

Rabbi Ben Zion Mutzafi said during his weekly lecture at the Musayof synagogue in Jerusalem that it is “forbidden” to pray with people who don’t have masks on during prayer.

“There are people outside who don’t have masks. You can’t include these people in prayer quorums [minyanim], it is forbidden to pray with them.”

“Their prayers are an abomination, since they are hurting others, God help us. They may have a beard, sidelocks, a long jacket, a gartel [prayer belt] and who knows what else – they can put on a shtreimel too even on a weekday, it won’t help.”

In June, Rabbi Mutzafi compared worshippers who attend synagogue prayers without a mask to “murderers”.

“They are murderers! Today there are over 4,000 people ill, hundreds of people dead, and much suffering and financial loss, horrible suffering for the entire family. And we haven't even talked about the tens of thousands who were required to quarantine!"

"Woe betide those [who don't wear masks] from Heaven, in another three months it will be the Day of Judgement, when the three Books are opened."

14 year-old girl wins $25K for developing potential COVID-19 treatment

A Texas whizkid has been awarded $25,000 — for developing what could lead to a possible COVID-19 treatment.

Anika Chebrolu, 14, of Frisco won the 3M Young Scientist Challenge for her work creating a molecule that could cripple part of the coronavirus, KTVT reported.

“It’s exciting. I’m still trying to process everything,” she told the local station. “I developed this molecule that can bind to a certain protein on the SARS-CoV-2 virus. … By binding to it, it will stop the function of the protein.”

Before the pandemic, the eighth-grader had been chipping away at creating a drug to fight the seasonal flu — but her plan changed when the coronavirus crisis struck.

To come up with the treatment, she used computer programs to identify how and where the molecule would bind to the virus.

Chebrolu said she was compelled to hunt for a cure after seeing the devastating effect of the coronavirus. She praised her grandfather for inspiring her.

“My grandpa, when I was younger, he always used to push me toward science. He was actually a chemistry professor, and he used to always tell me learn the periodic table of the elements and learn all these things about science, and over time, I just grew to love it,” she said.

The Young Scientist Challenge is a competition put on for middle-schoolers by the companies Discovery Education and 3M.

Commission will mute mics during final debate between Trump and Biden......

The Commission on Presidential Debates has decided to mute microphones to allow each candidate the opportunity for uninterrupted remarks during this week’s final forum.

The mute button will be featured at the start of each 15-minute segment during opening comments, according to the commission. After that time, both mics will be turned on without a mute option to enable debate.

The rule change follows the first debate between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden that devolved into a frequently interrupted shouting match.

Thursday’s debate in Nashville had originally been planned as the third between Trump and Biden. The commission scrapped the second match after Trump contracted COVID-19 and refused to participate in a proposed virtual affair.

In place of the nixed debate, the two candidates held dueling town halls.

In the first debate, held in Cleveland — which Trump claimed he won — the president interrupted either Biden or Fox News moderator Chris Wallace 145 times, according to a network analysis.

Biden, for his part, interrupted a total of 67 times, according to the same Fox analysis.

Trump’s re-election campaign earlier Monday voiced concerns over the possibility of a debate rule change allowing mic feeds to be cut.

But despite the change of course, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said later Monday that the president will still debate Biden.

“President Trump is committed to debating Joe Biden regardless of last-minute rule changes from the biased commission in their latest attempt to provide advantage to their favored candidate,” Stepien said in a statement.

Rush Limbaugh gives update, says he’s ‘under a death sentence

Rush Limbaugh revealed on his radio show Monday that a recent medical scan showed “some progression” of his cancer.

The conservative radio host gave the solemn update after missing several shows earlier this month to receive treatment for advanced lung cancer, Fox News reported.

“The scans did show some progression of cancer,” Limbaugh told his listeners. “Now, prior to that, the scans had shown that we had rendered the cancer dormant. That’s my phrase for it. We had stopped the growth. It had been reduced, and it had become manageable,” he said.

“But there’s always the reality and the knowledge that that can change and it can come back because it is cancer. It eventually outsmarts pretty much everything you throw at it.”

Limbaugh announced his cancer diagnosis last February — a day before he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom at President Trump’s State of Union address.

Limbaugh on Monday also shared some the distressful psychological effects caused by his affliction.

“It’s tough to realize that the days where I do not think I’m under a death sentence are over,” Limbaugh said.

“We all know that we’re going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it,” he said.

And despite the physical toll caused by his disease, Limbaugh said he’s grateful to still be able to continue his work.

“I feel very blessed to be here speaking with you today. Some days are harder than others. I do get fatigued now. I do get very, very tired now. I’m not gonna mislead you about that,” said Limbaugh.

“But I am extremely grateful to be able to come here to the studio and to maintain as much normalcy as possible — and it’s still true.” he said.

According to the Late-night Comics.... There Is Only One Man Running for President ....... Trump

A staggering 97% of the jokes Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon told about the candidates in September targeted President Donald Trump, a study released Monday found.

That’s 455 jokes about Trump and 14 about Democrat Joe Biden, according to the Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University. That doesn’t even count 64 jokes made about Trump’s family or administration, the study said.

“When Trump’s onstage, everyone else is blacked out,” said Robert Lichter, communication professor at George Mason.

He’s been studying late-night humor and politics since 1992. Republicans are usually targeted more than Democrats by the comedy writers, but the difference has never been this stark. The closest was the 2016 campaign, when Trump was the punchline for 78% of the jokes to Hillary Clinton’s 22%, the center said.

That’s good news if, like Biden, your goal is to essentially make Trump the central issue in the campaign. It may present a real challenge for the comics if Biden defeats Trump in next month’s election, however.

What will they have to poke fun at?

“I think they will find a way to keep making jokes about Trump, even after he leaves office,” Lichter said.

‘Youth Is Main Force Of Outbreaks,’ Israel’s COVID Czar Says

Coronavirus czar Ronni Gamzu warned on Monday during a Knesset committee meeting that the reopening of Israel’s schools could lead to virus outbreaks among youth who will then infect adults and the elderly.

“Youth is the driving force of coronavirus outbreaks,” Gamzu said, explaining that children and teens often carry the virus but are asymptomatic and unwittingly spread the virus further. “There’s no dam that can hold this current.

Also on Monday, eight preschool teachers and assistants in Ramat Gan tested positive for the coronavirus during routine tests for all teachers prior to the reopening of preschools and daycares this week, a discovery touted as a success since it was revealed prior to the teachers entering their classrooms.

However, according to the head of Israel’s Private Preschools Union, Chanan Dagan, who called the testing a “failure,” only 3,000 preschool staff members out of 100,000 have been tested but and all schools opened anyway.

Democrats are backed against the wall - watch out! Trump kept his promises; every one. People noticed.

It's crunch time for the challenging Democrats. We're coming down to blastoff-like countdown numbers 'til November 3rd. The real leaders of the Dem Party, not those shock troops carrying placards in the streets, but the real mavens of policy, who call the shots from behind their desks, are starting to sweat.

How long before their candidate goes completely off the wall and is no longer able to be protected by the willingly accommodating media?

Biden has already twice repeatedly claimed to nationwide audiences that he's running for a Senate seat. His behavior to both fans and interviewers has increasingly shown his mean side. He's ready to implode under the pressure. In addition, Trump's almost miraculous recovery from the virus and the massive crowds cheering him on at his open air rallies indicate another 2016-like disaster for the Left.

They know it. And this frightens them.

Coronavirus Is Shuttering Geulah Businesses and Restaurants For Good

The Coronavirus was never only a plague that affected people medically, it is also an economic plague, and one that affects people’s sports and mental health as well in at least an indirect fashion.

The effect that the plague has had on Israel’s economy has been monstrous. While many people talk about the effects, and the government hands out stipends or a few tax benefits to business owners, many have fallen through the cracks and not been eligible for this assistance.

The entire country has been affected by this, and one of the many places where the effects are visible is the neighborhood of Geulah in Jerusalem, as dozens of stores have put up “for sale” or “for rent” signs.

Many store owners who were interviewed by BeChadrei Charedim told the news site that the summer days where they were allowed to be open for a short time, causing them to rehire their workers, did the stores more damage than good, as many customers simply didn’t return and the cost of business stayed the same. Even stores that were considered to be “essential” and were allowed to remain open during the lockdown have suffered irrevocably.

One such store, Felafel Shlomo, was founded prior to the State of Israel. It opened its doors in 1934. The store, which has taken on a mythological presence, closed its doors for good during the current lockdown. Many of the stores received the majority of their income from the Yeshiva and Seminary students who would frequent the neighborhood to shop for Judaica items. All of those customers have disappeared and the stores are following in their path.

Geulah isn’t the only neighborhood that has dozens of stores closing but it is a vibrant one.

On Wednesday, Ynet news website reported that restaurant owners were told that according to the developing exit strategy being prepared by the government they will be able to open their businesses towards the end of November. The article interviewed a number of restaurant owners across the country who said that it simply wasn’t worth it, and if they ever open again it won’t be until April or May.

According to some experts, the economic impact of the virus will be felt in Israel for a decade or more.

Rebbetzin Malka Piotrkowski: We should Reexamine Prohibition of Touching During Nida

Rebbetzin Malka Piotrkowski

According to Orthodox teacher Rebbetzin Malka Piotrkowski, author of “Walking in her Path: the Challenges of Life in a Halachic and Values-Based Perspective,” on Saturday night said in an interview on the podcast of Dr. Michal Prince that today’s relationship between spouses includes friendship beyond a joint effort to procreate.

Rebbetzin Piotrkowski distinguishes between different types of contact, which are not only for sexual purposes but also for support or comfort.

“The laws of Nida-Menstruation were established in a time when the expectations of the spouses were completely different; not that there was no love between them, but the expectation from married life was different,” she said.

According to the Rebbetzin, the change in the perception of the marital relationship is actually welcome, and today there is “an expectation of soul friendships between the spouses.” According to the Rebbetzin, this change has become very substantial and also creates a desire for contact but for various motives, which are not necessarily sexual.

Gerer Chusid Marries at Hadassah Hospital So His Father with Coronavirus Can Watch

"We all teared up when the groom waved excitedly to his father from the area [where the chupa was]," said the coronavirus ward's head nurse.

A man infected with coronavirus and in critical condition was able to watch his son's wedding after Hadassah-University Medical Center staff arranged for the wedding to be outside of his window, according to the hospital spokesperson.
The 56-year-old man from Arad has been hospitalized since late September.
Earlier this week, the man's family, who are Gerrer hassidim, asked the Yad Avraham organization that often works with the hospital to hold the wedding in such a way that the man would be able to participate. The organization worked with the hospital to enable the wedding to occur under the man's window and according to Health Ministry guidelines.
"All of the Hadassah staff, from security, logistics, communications to ward staff made it a mission to have the event," said the head nurse of the coronavirus ward in which the man is being treated. "We all teared up when the groom waved excitedly to his father from the area [where the chupa was]."
"There was not a dry eye when the family sent their father well wishes using the microphone," she went on to say.
Director-general Prof. Zeev Rotstein said that "the possibility to give a father a chance to participate in his son's wedding – especially when he is very ill, is an unforgettable moment and a testament to the devotion and humanity of Hadassah staff."

Someone From Monsey Tipped off Rockland Sheriff That Satmar Was Planning 10,000 People Wedding

A tip from the Hudson Valley led to a crackdown on a wedding in which 10,000 were reportedly planning to attend amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ceremony, planned for the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, was thwarted after New York State authorities got word of the wedding from the Rockland County Sheriff's Office, Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The sheriff's office warned Rockland residents not to attend since the event was in clear violation of state guidelines.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Ducker then issued the order prohibiting the gathering, scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19, from being held at its planned location, reportedly a synagogue belonging to the Satmar Hasidic sect.

The New York City Sheriff's Department served the order.

Though the planned site of the wedding was outside one of the state's "cluster zones," the projected attendance far exceeded state limits.

"Look, you can get married, you just can't have 1,000 people at your wedding," Cuomo said, using 1,000 as a relative figure, instead of the specific 10,000 figure of those planning to attend the wedding.

Under Phase 4 of New York's reopening plan, no more than 33 percent of the maximum occupancy for a particular area for services occurring indoors are permitted, with violators subject to fines.

New York Times Op-Ed Glorifies Farrakhan

A former editor and writer for the New York Times editorial page, Bari Weiss, is faulting the Times for publishing an op-ed piece glorifying Louis Farrakhan’s Million Man March and failing to provide context about Farrakhan’s antisemitism.

“Today the New York Times ran an oped about the Million Man March and Louis Farrakhan. If you read the oped and knew nothing about Farrakhan, you would think he was a gentleman,” Weiss tweeted

“When The Times ran the infamous anti-Semitic cartoon, the issue was not that editors were hardened anti-Semites. It’s that they didn’t even *notice* it. This shouldn’t surprise. It’s part of a worldview in which Jew hate does not count.” Her reference was to an April 2019 cartoon that the Times eventually said it was “deeply sorry” for and acknowledged was antisemitic.

The op-ed piece appears in the New York Times under the headline “Behind the Million Woman March.” It is subheadlined, “Behind every great feat in the public record lies an untold story of the unsung foot soldiers.” It is written by Natalie Hopkinson, an associate professor in Howard University’s Department of Communication, Culture and Media Studies.
