Alan Dershowitz files $300 million defamation suit against "Fake News" CNN

 Famed attorney and Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz filed a defamation suit against CNN on Tuesday seeking $300 million for what he called a "willful, deliberate, malicious effort to destroy my credibility."

Dershowitz told Fox News that CNN selectively edited a clip of his remarks from the Senate floor during President Trump's impeachment trial where he broke down the illegalities surrounding a "quid pro quo" as a member of the president's defense team.

The Constitutional scholar alleges in the lawsuit that the news outlet propagated a “sea of lies” by re-airing only part of his quote, which he believes was part of a deliberate effort "from the very top" to frame him for claiming “that the President of the United States could commit illegal acts as long as he thought it would help his reelection and that his reelection was in the public interest," The Wrap reported.

"What CNN did here, and it pains me to say this because, you know, I have friends over there. What they did is they just totally doctored the tape," Dershowitz told Sean Hannity on Tuesday.

" If they had just show the part where I said if he does anything illegal he can be impeached -- Dershowitz trailed off, "but they doctored the tape to take that out."

Dershowitz said he plans to donate any awarding to "charities and to good causes," emphasizing that he's "not doing this for myself.

"I'm doing this to hold them accountable," he explained. "They made a deliberate, willful decision we believe from the very top to purposely doctor the tape to make it look like I said something that was crazy, that a president can do anything, that he can commit crimes.

"Of course I never said that -- I don’t believe it. I spent an hour in front of the Senate two days earlier saying if the president commits a crime he can be impeached and that was a whole thesis of my presentation," Dershowitz said.

"CNN knew that and they doctored the tape and edited the tape to make me say exactly the opposite. Shame on them," he continued,. "They’re going to have to pay and some good charities are going to benefit from CNN's willful deliberate malicious effort to destroy my credibility as a constitutional scholar."

CNN did not respond to Fox News' request for comment.

As I watch the trailer for the forthcoming documentary Never Again?, it's strange to 
hear myself talking about how I hated America and believed the Jews were responsible 
for all the evil in the world. But that was the reality of the person I was—a person I 
would be forced to confront during the making of this film. As I traveled to places of 
once-great significance in my life, especially after a long day of shooting, I became, 
in some ways, a spectator to my own life. I would remember the moments and details 
that led me into that darkest corner of the human mind, where one sheds any 
pretense of basic humanity in pursuit of an unjust and evil cause.
Thankfully, that person no longer exists. And in the 13 years since I changed 
my views, I've seen the world around me change—and the same ideology that once 
poisoned my mind grow, mutate and continue to poison the minds of young people
 all over the world.

It's important to note that my radicalization did not take place in a madrasa in Pakistan
 or a university in Damascus; I was born and raised in England. I was raised to hate 
in a country that should largely be proud of its ambition to be truly tolerant.

My grandparents had come to the United Kingdom from Pakistan in the 1960s in 
search of a better life. My British family was, and remains, devoutly Sunni Muslim. 
They settled, and I grew up in, a predominantly Pakistani Muslim neighborhood in 
Nottingham. Sadly, the insular nature of the community in which I grew up, which is 
mirrored  throughout both the United Kingdom and Western Europe, led to a situation
 where my grandparents would never learn to read, write or speak fluent English.

8 Indonesians who refused to wear masks forced to dig graves for COVID victims

 

Authorities in Indonesia have forced eight people who refused to wear masks in public to dig graves for coronavirus victims on the island of Java, the Jakarta Times reported Tuesday.

"We only had three gravediggers," the district governor told the newspaper. "So I thought we could put these people to work."

The governor said he hoped the move would deter other citizens from flouting public health orders.

Israeli protesters gathered on Sunday night along the highway to Ben-Gurion International Airport, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was headed to board a flight to the United States.

With their usual chants of "crime minister" and other trite anti-Bibi mantras, these self-anointed guardians of freedom and democracy – members of the so-called "peace camp" – were livid that the premier was on his way to Washington, DC.

That the purpose of his trip was to sign the U.-brokered Abraham Accords – a peace treaty with the United Arab Emirates and declaration of peace with Bahrain – didn't matter to them. On the contrary, it became another excuse for their outrage.

A mere two or so hours earlier, Netanyahu had announced that the steep and steady rise in coronavirus morbidity made a three-week countrywide lockdown necessary. As if this weren't sufficient cause for exasperation, even among his supporters, his detractors took the opportunity to rail against him for going off to a "cocktail party" at the White House, leaving Israelis ill in every sense of the word, thanks to his government's failed COVID-19 policies.

Yes, they insist, he is responsible simultaneously for the increasing mortality rate and disintegrating workforce – for opening up the economy too soon on the one hand and for not "having a proper plan" to prevent the spread of the virus on the other.

As of earlier today, hundreds of Chassidim are stuck in the demilitarized zone between the two counties Belarus and Ukraine and are facing Ukrainian soldiers on the border of their destination country. According to reports in the Israeli media, the situation between the soldiers and the Chassidim has become tense. The Chassidim are stuck without the option of returning to Belarus nor entering Ukraine.

Those present are calling upon the Israeli Foreign Ministry to intervene on behalf of the nearly 2,500 people stuck, including women and children. The food and water supplies available to the Chassidim are dwindling.

CNBC host Jim Cramer calls Pelosi ‘Crazy Nancy’ to her face during interview

 NBC host Jim Cramer called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “Crazy Nancy” to her face during an interview on Tuesday morning — a taunt for the California liberal typically used by President Trump.

The outlandish host of “Mad Money” and former hedge fund manager was interviewing Pelosi on stalled negotiations on a fourth coronavirus stimulus package when the insult appeared to slip out.

“What deal can we have, Crazy Nancy — I’m sorry, that was the president,” Cramer said, scrambling to fix the situation. “I have such reverence for the office, I would never use that term.”

Pelosi (D-Calif.) kept her composure but looked less than pleased, telling Cramer: “But you just did. But you just did.”

“Oh come on, you know what I mean,” the CNBC anchor replied, trying to turn the embarrassing episode into a joke.

Cramer’s name immediately began trending on Twitter as clips of the exchange circulated online — with one pundit calling for the 65-year-old to be fired.

“If Jim Cramer is allowed by CNBC to speak to a woman, on tv, who is the #SpeakeroftheHouse it shows that CNBC has no respect for women in this country,” wrote actress Suzanne Cryer.

“It cannot be tolerated. She deserves his respect. Women deserve respect. Jim Cramer should be fire,” she added.

Bloomberg columnist Tim O’Brien wrote, “Stay classy, Jim Cramer.”

The powerful speaker, 80, and Trump have not spoken in nearly 11 months after she walked out of an Oval Office meeting last October where he accused her of being a “third-grade politician,” according to a CNN report.

Trump frequently mocks Pelosi as “Crazy Nancy” on Twitter.

Pelosi’s office could not be immediately reached for comment Tuesday.

20% of New York Millennials Believe Jews Themselves Caused the Holocaust

Nearly 20 percent of Millennials and Gen Z in New York believe the Jews caused the Holocaust, according to a new survey released on Wednesday.

The findings come from the first ever 50-state survey on the Holocaust knowledge of American Millennials and Gen Z, which was commissioned by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

For instance, although there were more than 40,000 camps and ghettos during World War II, 58 percent of respondents in New York cannot name a single one.

Additionally, 60 percent of respondents in New York do not know that six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust.

“The results are both shocking and saddening and they underscore why we must act now while Holocaust survivors are still with us to voice their stories,” said Gideon Taylor, President of the Conference on Jewish Material Claim Against Germany.

A total of 34 percent of respondents in New York believe the Holocaust happened but the number of Jews who died has been greatly exaggerated or believe the Holocaust is a myth and did not happen or are unsure.

A shocking 28 percent of respondents in New York believe it is acceptable to hold neo-Nazi views, while 62 percent have never visited a Holocaust museum in the United States.

At least 65 percent of respondents in New York believe Holocaust education should be compulsory in school, and 79 percent say it is important to keep teaching about the Holocaust, in part, so that it does not happen again.

“We need to understand why we aren’t doing better in educating a younger generation about the Holocaust and the lessons of the past. This needs to serve as a wake-up call to us all, and as a road map of where government officials need to act,” Taylor added.

Data was collected from 1,000 interviews nationwide and 200 interviews in each state with young adults aged 18 to 39 selected at random.

‘Shtisel’ Season 3 Unveils First Clip

Israel’s Yes Studios (“Fauda”) has unveiled a first look clip and photos of the anticipated third season of its hit Netflix drama “Shtisel,” and has announced two new shows, “The Chef” and “Embezzlement.”

“Shtisel,” whose first two seasons are available on Netflix, follows a Haredi family living in an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem reckoning with love, loss and the doldrums of daily life.

Created and written by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky, the series stars Michael Aloni, Doval’e Glickman, Neta Riskin, Sasson Gabai and Shira Haas, the star of Netflix’s “Unorthodox” who is nominated for an Emmy Award. “Shtisel” was produced by Abot Hameiri, a Fremantle company, and is directed by Alon Zingman.

The third season of “Shtisel” picks up four years after the events of the previous season. Comprising nine episodes, Season 3 of the show started filming in July under strict COVID-19 protocols, and will be airing on Yes TV in Israel later this year. “Shtisel” producer Dikla Barkai confirmed to Variety that the show successfully completed production in early September, before the country locked down again on Sept. 13. The first clip and images of the upcoming third season were unveiled during a special Yes TV media event on Monday in Israel.

From systematically destroying our schools and brainwashing our kids into believing socialism is the answer to anything (despite being an unmitigated failure everywhere), while demonizing religion and faith, and glorifying abortion, violence, and thug culture.

From calling us racists every time we expect everyone of any skin color to follow our laws equally to gaslighting us about 52 genders, polyamory, grown men in dresses sharing public locker rooms with little girls, and normalize the sexualization of young children, you simultaneously ridicule us for having the audacity to wish someone a “Merry Christmas” or hang a flag on the 4th of July, stand for the national anthem, or (horror of horrors) don a MAGA hat in public.

 On December 21, 2017, the first-ever official census of Palestinians in Lebanon was published in Beirut. It showed that only 174,422 Palestinians lived there,[1] not up to 600,000 as previously estimated by political entities including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

Overestimation of the Palestinian population is hardly limited to Lebanon. Similar miscalculations have also occurred in the 'West Bank' and Gaza where the Israeli Civil Administration, which operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense, accepts the Palestinian Authority's demographic data at face value.

Such miscalculations have also occurred inside Israel where the shift of the demographic balance over the past few decades in favor of the Jewish majority has gone largely unnoticed. So much so that by 2065, the ratio of Israel's Arab citizens will likely drop from the current level of 20.9 percent of the total population[2] to 15.7 percent, whereas the Palestinian Arabs of the 'West Bank' and Gaza will comprise a mere 26.2 percent of the total population of the Land of Israel—between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea—a far cry from the predicted Arab-Jewish equality in this territory.

An eyewitness to the ambush attack on two Los Angeles County deputy sheriffs mocked the wounded cops and quipped that they were “aired out,” a troubling video posted on Twitter shows.

The man was among several people seemingly celebrating the shooting moments after it happened, with one man heard yelling “No justice, no peace” as one of the wounded deputies attempts to stand up.

“Them n—-s just got aired out. They just bust on them n—-s, cuz. That’s crazy,” the man, wearing a yellow hoodie, is seen saying on video posted to Twitter and retweeted by FOXLA correspondent Bill Melugin.

“Somebody bust on the police, n—-. Two sheriffs shot in the face. They trippin’. It’s going up in Compton,” the man says. “Somebody ran up on the corner and bust on their ass, right through the window, in the fact and all, n—-. It’s a wrap.”

The two deputies — a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old mother of a 6-year old — were shot around 7 p.m. Saturday by an unidentified gunman. Both emerged from surgery and are expected to survive, LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced.

But the shooting exposed the sharp divisions in the city, with demonstrators gathering outside the hospital Sunday chanting, “We hope they die.“

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó will be the only European Union diplomatic representative to attend the signing of the peace accords between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain at the White House on Tuesday.

“At the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, as the only European Union minister, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó will also attend … the signing ceremony in the White House on Tuesday,” the minister’s spokesperson told Hungarian news agency MTI on Sunday.

The spokesperson added that Szijjártó will hold talks with presidential adviser Jared Kushner while in the US.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is a long-time supporter of US President Donald Trump, who brokered the peace accords.

The European Union has long maintained a policy of favoring the Palestinians in their claims of “occupation” against Israel, and extending general financial support to them, which more often than not, ends up in the hands of terrorists. The Palestinians have vehemently slammed the Israel-UAE-Bahrain accords, claiming that they undermine the “Palestinian cause.”

Following the announcement of the Serbia-Kosovo normalization deal, the EU even warned the two countries that they could undermine their EU membership hopes by moving their Israeli embassies to Jerusalem.

Furthermore, most of the EU’s 27 countries continue to recognize the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s political branch as a legitimate movement, only designating its military branch as a terror entity.

In the past year, Germany and Lithuania have designated Hezbollah to be a terrorist organization in its entirety, joined by Serbia on Sunday. Kosovo and the UK (which is no longer part of the EU) did the same last year and the Netherlands did so in 2004.

‘We Hope They Die’: Protesters Block Entrance To Emergency Room After Two Cops Shot

 

Protesters blocked the entrance to a Los Angeles County emergency room early Sunday morning after two cops were shot while sitting in their vehicle.

The crowd chanted, “We hope they die,” according to LA County Sheriffs.

“To the protesters blocking the entrance & exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM yelling “We hope they die” referring to 2 LA Sheriff’s ambushed today in #Compton: DO NOT BLOCK EMERGENCY ENTRIES & EXITS TO THE HOSPITAL,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said on Twitter. “People’s lives are at stake when ambulances can’t get through.”

A deputy issued a dispersal order for the unlawful assembly where people were blocking the hospital entrance, and one male protester refused to comply. While officers were attempting to arrest the man, a female member of the “press” interfered with the arrest and was also arrested, the LA County Sheriff’s Department said. 

According to the LA County Sheriff’s Department, one male and one female deputy were sitting in their car when an attacker ambushed them and shot them several times.

A video showed the attacker approaching the vehicle and opening fire unprovoked.

As Israel reimposes lockdown, Europe and world see COVID comeback

 Israel said Sunday it will reimpose a national lockdown after coronavirus cases soared, while European nations grappled with mounting infections against a backdrop of protests against restrictions aimed at reining in the pandemic.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the three-week lockdown, which will hold people to within 500 meters (yards) of their homes, will start on Friday and could be extended.

The plan prompted the resignation of ultra-Orthodox Housing Minister Yaakov Litzman, who said the measures would prevent Jews from attending synagogue over the upcoming Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur holidays. 

According to the world’s highest coronavirus infection rate by population.Britain, France, Austria and the Czech Republic were among European countries reporting surges, with new cases in the UK reaching more than 3,000 in 24 hours for the second day in a row on Saturday.

After a spate of local lockdowns this month, new government restrictions come into force across England on Monday, limiting social gatherings to no more than six people.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said the country was already facing “the beginning of the second wave” as new daily infections climbed towards 1,000.
