Rare Defiance in Tehran: Basij Students Interrupt Khamenei Speech

Tehran was shaken by a highly unusual incident when a group of Basij students  members of the paramilitary force long considered the ideological spearhead of Iran’s regime since 1979 interrupted a speech by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The students reportedly called for, among other things, a referendum on the future of the regime. According to reports, the official video of the meeting was edited to remove the disruptive moment, but sources indicate the students involved have already been taken for questioning or detention.

Reports of Mass Protests in Iran

In the past few minutes, reports say thousands of citizens have taken to the streets in several Iranian cities. Protesters were heard chanting: “Death to Khamenei” and “Give us back Iran.”

In Seagate 95-year-old charged with murder of Holocaust Survivor

Nina Kravtsov, 89, a Holocaust survivor from Ukraine, was identified as the woman beaten to death inside the Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

A 95-year-old woman with dementia was arrested Tuesday two days after she allegedly beat a fellow Brooklyn nursing home resident to death with a metal wheelchair piece.

Galina Smirnova was cuffed Tuesday afternoon for allegedly striking 89-year-old Holocaust survivor Nina Kravtsov multiple times in the head when a feud erupted just after 10 p.m. Sunday inside the Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Coney Island, according to authorities.

Kravstov – found lying in bed with a bleeding head wound – was rushed to NYU Brooklyn Hospital, where she was initially listed in critical condition, cops and sources said.

She died from her injuries early Monday, police said.

“I was devastated,” her daughter Lucy Flom told The Post. “My friends are saying they can’t believe it because it only happens in movies.”

Flom said her mother was a Holocaust survivor who lived in Ukraine before moving to the US and settling down in Brighton Beach with her husband — always sacrificing for others.

“She was 5 years old when she was in the ghetto,” the heartbroken daughter said. “She had a big family. She lost most of her family.”

Kravtsov launched a nursing career in Ukraine, where “everybody loved her,” and she was also a teen mom, Flom said.

“She sacrificed a lot. She was a single mom. She had me when she was 18,” she said. “She came here to give me a good education,” she added. “She was a very dedicated mother.”

“She was a nice lady. She was like many moms – very loving, caring, devoted.”

Flom said her mother later remarried and she gained a stepbrother and stepsister.

“She was a mom to all of us,” Flom said. “We are just grieving.”

Smirnova was taken to Coney Island Hospital for both a physical and psychiatric evaluation after the deadly clash, sources previously said.

At the time of the incident, it was not clear if she would face charges since she is elderly and suffering from dementia, sources added.

The nonagenarian has now been hit with murder and criminal possession of weapons charges, according to police.

Mark Levin Shows Up In Netanyahu Trial ; Slams Witch Hunt Against Him

Fox News host Mark Levin and his wife appeared at the Tel Aviv district court on Tuesday in a show of support for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

At the start of his testimony, Netanyahu announced the launch of the IDF’s ground operation in Gaza City. During his testimony, he received an envelope from his aide. After leaving the court briefly, Netanyahu told the judges he had to leave early to manage the war.

In an exclusive interview with Channel 14’s legal correspondent Yair Altman, Levin said, “I came to show support because this is a witch hunt. Something like this would never happen in the US. This spectacle—to see the Prime Minister receive an envelope, go out, and be required to explain to the judges why he has to end his testimony early while he is managing a war—is an unbelievable sight. I will report to our viewers at home and continue to support Israel.”

It should be noted that the court recently ruled that the prime minister must appear for testimony three times a week, despite the fierce opposition of Netanyahu and his followers. The fact that the trumped-up cases against him have been falling apart little by little and that Netanyahu is the leader of a country at battle on seven fronts did not interest the judges.

This is not the first time that Levin has strongly criticized the judicial system in Israel. In the past, he said that it is the “worst court in the world of any court he has ever known.”

“‘Deep State’ is too passive an expression to explain your deceitful court,” Levin elaborated. “Your Supreme Court reminds me of the old Soviet Politburo—they appoint themselves, pretend to be guardians of the law, but in fact, they have taken the power from the people.”

“They wrap themselves in black robes and claim they are carrying out justice, but in practice, they have deprived Israelis of democracy. The citizens of Israel now live under judicial tyranny—it’s that simple. There is no such thing in Western culture; there never was, and it does not exist.”

Hatzalah Volunteer Cleared In Nukhba Terrorist “Murder” Case Sues State

Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visited Biton after his arrest, telling him, “Yisrael, I came to thank you on behalf of the State of Israel. I heard about your story of heroism, how you risked your life and went to save people’s lives. The terrible injustice that State Attorney Amit Eisman did to you, who ordered the opening of this bizarre and astonishing investigation, is a terrible thing.”

Yisrael Biton, a United Hatzalah volunteer who was detained in July 2024 on suspicion of executing a Hamas terrorist during the October 7 massacre, is demanding compensation of half a million shekels from the State for wrongful arrest and defamation.

Biton, a hero who voluntarily left his home on October 7 and spent five days saving countless lives while under fire, was arrested under the direction of State Attorney Amit Aisman in July 2024 on the absurd charge of the “murder of a Nukhba terrorist.”

Mossad’s Secret Army: 100 Non-Israeli Agents Struck Iran From Within During Operation Rising Lion

As the June war erupted, Israel’s intelligence services quietly launched one of the most daring operations in the Mossad’s history. According to a new report by Channel 13, the agency deployed roughly 100 foreign agents inside Iran, entrusted with crippling Tehran’s most advanced missile launchers and air defense systems.

The agents — none of them Israeli — had been trained in secret for months to operate sophisticated missile platforms weighing hundreds of kilograms. Smuggled piece by piece into Iran and assembled under the nose of the regime’s security apparatus, the weapons were turned against Iran’s own ballistic missile infrastructure and anti-aircraft batteries in the opening days of the war.

The sheer scale of the operation is what sets it apart. Intelligence veterans describe it as unprecedented in both complexity and risk: not only did the Mossad recruit and infiltrate scores of foreign operatives into hostile territory, but it also trained them to mastery on advanced weapons systems in order to strike with precision when the conflict began.

By every account, the gamble paid off. Iranian missile capabilities were severely degraded at the start of hostilities, buying Israel critical time to blunt the onslaught.

The full scope of the mission remains shrouded in secrecy, but even the limited details hint that this was the Mossad’s largest-ever covert strike inside the Islamic Republic — an audacious play that may have shifted the trajectory of the war before it even began.

Trump Files $15 Billion Defamation Lawsuit Against the New York Times

President Donald Trump has filed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times and four of its journalists.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Florida, names several articles and one book written by two of the publication’s journalists and published in the leadup to the 2024 election, saying they are “part of a decades-long pattern by the New York Times of intentional and malicious defamation against President Trump.”

“Defendants published such statements negligently, with knowledge of the falsity of the statements, and/or with reckless disregard of their truth or falsity,” the lawsuit says.

Times spokesman Charles Stadtlander said Tuesday the lawsuit “lacks any legitimate legal claims and instead is an attempt to stifle and discourage independent reporting. The New York Times will not be deterred by intimidation tactics.” Similarly, Penguin Random House, publishers of the book named in Trump’s case, called it a “meritless lawsuit.”

In a Truth Social post announcing the lawsuit, Trump accused The New York Times of lying about him and defaming him, saying it has become “a virtual ‘mouthpiece’ for the Radical Left Democrat Party.”

Trump, a Republican, has gone after other media outlets, including filing a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the The Wall Street Journal and media mogul Rupert Murdoch in July after the newspaper published a story reporting on his ties to wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Montreal Judge Rules Man Not Criminally Responsible in Attack on Hasidic Jewish Father

A Quebec judge has ruled that Sergio Yanes Preciado, 24, is not criminally responsible for assaulting a Jewish father of three at Dickie Moore Park in Montreal last August.

The August 8 attack, partly caught on video, showed the victim being punched to the ground in front of his children, with his kippa thrown aside. The incident drew condemnation from Jewish groups and politicians, though prosecutors later said it was not deemed a hate crime but the result of mental illness.

Yanes Preciado, originally charged with assault causing bodily harm, will remain detained at Montreal General Hospital.
